We'll start with Tiki Oasis 9.  It was another successful year for Heather, she took 25 original black velvet painting with her and sold 21 of them...woohoo :)  She also sold a fair amount of her t-shirts made by Team Tiki Tees.  http://www.cartfly.com/teamtikitees Her handmade bamboo earrings and tiki pendants where also hot items at Oasis this year.

I'm hoping to bring thirty paintings with me, and although I have a number finished I've definitely got my work cut out for me over the next couple of weeks! First off, we apologize that we haven't been participating on DA for the last few months. We spend most of January in Australia for a wedding and some R&R. I'm now quite busy opening a business and Heather is always busy with painting and creating. We are going to make more of an effort to check in and update more than once very month! For me this painting is about asking the question "who am I?"  Am I a body?  A mind?  A soul?  Could there be some larger, transcendent part of myself, obscured from view by the more obvious?  Am I really who I think I am?
