Chances are I will probably only be going for the Saturday though but we shall see. In the end I didn't go through with any plans to cosplay myself.
I am hoping to pick up several things at this convention:
-Rozen maiden dolls
-Rozen maiden artbooks
-The pandora hearts artbook.
-At least one volume of fairy cube.

Other than that I have already done my Christmas shopping but am completely unsure of what I want when people ask me , its a difficult choice between hellblazer volume 2 , rozen maiden graphic novels,
sandman 1 , swamp thing 4 , Fables 1, 2, 3 or Alan Moore's from hell.

Update: In the end I was unable to acquirer anything on that list, I did however manage to purchase a code geass poster though. I chose not to buy any merchandise, manga or dvds available as I had already seen/read/owned many of what was available, some several times and I felt it was just unfair to purchase something that I had alreasy experienced and another may have not.
It was fun pointing out/spotting who all of the attendees were going as . I also enjoyed the cosplay show and am debating wheather I should go to the goth or maid show (on one hand I find this highly appealing but at the same time a bit demeaning of women so I am rather hesitant ). I got the chance to spend time with good friends of mine and was able to be closer to my brother . My favourite part of these events is not so much the screenings and items on sale but simply talking with other people there.
I made several compliments to the artists that were there which were thankfully well received. Funnily enough I saw two very young girls dressed up as rosario vampire characters which seemed as odd as it did inappropriate but the most peculiar of all was a little girl dressed up as Lucy from elfen lied. Other than that my ear is now temporarily infected due to careless showering and I've let it become stuffed with water, its hurts but it is getting better and my hearing isn't not as bad as yesterday though it plus my terrible eyesight really made the quiz on friday harder than it should have been.
I looked forward to simply trading humour with friends as is the usual when we meet up.
A few in our group went dressed as Resident evil characters .
The most awkward part of Saturday though was when I sat down to discuss comics and animation with a suigentou cosplayer and a friend of hers , she'd heard of Godchild , Kaori yuki , rozen maiden and the revolution of ludwig and seemed okay with yuri. To add to this she was one of those Naruto/yaoi fans that weren't biased or annoying as hell , she even had a reasonable view on the the whole subs/dubs thing acknowledging that not all dubs are bad and it depends on the show.
Though the awkward part came when I started to realize that I was getting very nervous around her, shy and blushing, it became evident I had a crush on her of sorts and nearly blurted out that I thought she was "very pretty". I was further concerned by the fact I felt genuinely creepy that I was keeping an eye out for the girl and kept approaching her and trying to think of something to strike up a conversation . Eventually at the end of the day a sorry sight, more so than I was as I was unknowing of my emotions while initially speaking with her managed to man up and tell her how I felt about the whole thing.
Embarrassed as I was I never even inquired about the girls name, details, e-mail/msn address. Quite unfairly and after the fact (that is after the attraction was realized I learnt a troublesome truth , there girl was only 14 or 15 years old.)
I guess I felt a little disappointed by the response I got but I was happy the girl just listened and actually spoke to me in the first place. Beside this I also learnt of a future upcoming convention next year.
Lastly on an unrelated note I will be attending compulsory jury duty in December which I feel a mixture of both excitement and worry about.

The basic gist of the dating sim idea was a joint idea by myself and a friend to create a visual novel that essentially trolled the player by offering a special ending on the box for the most attractive character but then having it actually not being in the game. Other aspects included a character that would reveal himself to be homosexual at the very end while another was a manipulative bastard who was blackmailing the lead character. The last character suggested was a knight in shining armour who happened to be the biggest playboy on the face of the earth. All of the males would be complete assholes/tsunderes and it would eventually be revealed that the main characters parents weren't actually killed in an accident but rather the car crash was all orchestrated staged and her parents are actually alive and well, simply teaming up with the members of the reverse harem to troll her. There was no possibility of achieving anything other than a bad end.


The superhero parody was to be set in 19th century victorian England with a sort of Batman and Robin duo, known as Alice and the Vicar, both a father and child aristocrat pair by day , vigilantes/anti-heroes armed with guns/scythes by night.
The characters were as follows:

The Vicar-A millionaire English nobleman and aristocrat living with his daughter Alice in the Victorian era London , East end. He hunts criminals and anyone else he deems unfit to live by night, binding their souls to dolls , hoping that when he collects enough spirits he can restore Alice's voice who's singing is said to be nothing short of angelic. He is cynical, sarcastic , sadistic , cruel, only showing emotion to young girls that resemble Alice from Alice in wonderland . His weapons of choice are sickles, revolvers and acidic earl grey.

The Yorkshire Yiffer-A fursuiter from modern day America who dresses up in a wolf costume and can only communicate in disgruntled barking noises , he steals kittens, puppies and other small animals to add to his collection.

The Yorkshire Rapper- A stereotypical rapper from Jazz era America with no friends , attacks through a mixture of kopera, kung-fu and rap motions. He only commits petty crimes for the purpose of gaining attention and is considered an immigrant of no so legal standing by Queen Victoria Beckham.

Rupulstillbornskin-a cross dressing, transsexual scarecrow type creature with skin as the name might imply, his fingers are frostbitten, he is hunchbacked, with a hooked wooden nose and several rows of teeth with a tongue trapped between . His quirk is that people take pity on him for his unfortunate appearance assuming he is actually good on the inside. No one who has met him lives to tell the tale.

Josh the stripper-An Irish version of Jack the ripper from Galway . he is possessed by an evil spirit which compells him to steal womens clothing, claims to be a virginity theft extraordinaire despite having never had a girlfriend. Original the spirit possessing him was that of a genuinely evil, sinister childkiller/pedophile/rapist that murdered/assaulted vicars wife and child and stole Alice's voice and soul, that spirit is probably the only truly serious antagonist in the story and the reason the Vicar turned to Vigilantism I said spirit committed these acts while in the Vicars body, meaning that the quest of our main character is also one of atonement, to fully attain Alice's forgiveness and trust which he has managed to gain a little of but she still somewhat fears him) . Said spirit only half possessed Josh and Josh's absurd personality was able to somewhat divert him.

Commissioner Garden "Warlock" Shrooms-A drug addicted parody of Sherlock Holmes and commissioner Gordon, dabbles in black magic.

Lady Vanity-A living doll of The Vicars wife and one of many vessels the evil spirits manages to possess.

The gael force- a group of Irish motorcyclists hailing from Limerick, the rest is obvious.
The Rhythmer-Parody of the riddler talks in quotes from poems/rhymes.

I should also note that I was sorely disappointed with Fable, great art and a good concept and the murder mystery plot in volume 1 is interesting, its all just handled in a very boring manner.
Other than that a western comic I can't say I hold in particularly high regard is Joker by Brian Azzarello , while this is probably one of the best illustrated western graphic novels I've read, it is all style and no substance , the joker isn't really the focus as far as I am concerned , more of the attention seemed to be placed on a dull one-off character who tried to use the joker to his advantage.

-The overused indirect kiss line.

-Subtitle vs dubbed wars, there is no such thing as every dub being bad or every sub being bad, same can be said of vice versa, not all dubs are good, not all subs are good.

-Ridiculously over hyped series such as Naruto, haruhi, gurren lagann , bleach, one piece.

-The overly conservative censorship of some Japanese childrens series by 4kids, DIC, nelvana.

-The parasitic level/sheer number of low budget comedy series which recycle the same unfunny jokes , are minimally animated, feature weak, archetypical , pedo-bait female characters, characters who look 4 years younger than they actually are/cross dress to create the idea of that. These series nearly always have a whiny , selfish, domineering female characters who acts violently towards others despite deep down finding them attractive. Such shows also feature useless male leads which recieve no development whatsoever, are popular despite having no redeeming features/looking extremely plain.
The only harem series' out there that seem to take the clichees and do things right are the adaptation of keys works and maybe magikano, in the priors case the characters are presented in a way where they are developed/human and are more than just bots/dolls, reverse harem does this too. In Magikano and girls bravo , ouran I would consider in the safe zone as they feel more like parodies of the genre.

-People who have only scene/read a few popular series and claim to be experts/die hard fans/elitists.


-Anime/manga that goes on and on infinetely , nearly every shounen anime/manga. Other shows that are actually not shallow instead get shafted.

-Series that are almost completely comprised of filler/go no where

-Most visual/light novel adaptations other than fate stay and the works by key.

-The fact 99.99 percent of comics/anime/cartoons/manga are badly drawn/written/horribly animated. I dislike a considerable amount more than I enjoy but the gems out there I do love though small in number are some are the best series I have ever experienced.

-Making a character who is clearly made to look younger, 17 or 18 years old in age only to try and use it as an excuse to avoid pedophilic connotations.

-The fact every female character must be thin, a doormat, appealing to a particular fetish and if they actually are depicted as independent/strong/battle axes it is always artificial/fake.

-series which whore out/over promote/self promote/over-advertise within the story. I want to watch/read something not be bombarded with the equivalent of a sales pitcher.

-How every single gay (male/female) relationship is treated as no more than a means to be perverse , hollow, awkward , false, non existent, only implied. I want something genuinely romantic not just another shounen-rom-com route.

-Smut series that take things far far too far to the point where they are actually worse than the worst pornography. These pander to the worst of perverts who are not satisfied with the absurdest erotica end of things and need to quench their lust with things that are designed to be as realistic as possible. I despise loveless(looking back) , aigan shounen, aigan shounen , forbidden secret garden .

-The fact seinen action stories are always shafted in favour of shounen ones.

-The girl chasing male best friend character (exceptions are sunohara and fukuyama )

-Unfinished anime that adapts only half or even less than the source material.

-The lack of complex, psychological , suspenseful, dramatic, emotionally involving, mature stories.

-There are almost no anime/manga based thrillers.

-Overpowered characters.

-Obsessive Fanbases/the stereotypical comic fan (ie the full regalia of: obese, thick glasses, neckbeard, headband, no connections to friends, family or a partner, just masturbates all day), pedophilic fans, fans who simply cannot deal with the opinions of others.

-Most stereotypical villains who want to take over the world/destroy it for no reason.

Even though my interest in anime/manga/videogames/films has been waning over the past three years there are still a few out there I consider to be rare gems. I feel myself becoming more attached to western comics as of late after reading watchmen. While I had always enjoyed the old superhero cartoons/movies and still do I would always dismiss the comics more recently I have chosen to become more open minded and give them a chance. Currently I am reading Batman:Vampire and although a stupid concept it works suprisingly well as a well written story with a great narrative and art that turned out to be suprisingly detailed. Even though the pacing was fast and did leave a moment wasted it has thus far achieved (like watchmen did) more in 200-300 pages than most manga I have read. The vampire Batman comic is wonderfully gory, the grim, dark artwork helps the action sequences flow/playout nicely and the authors/artists have achieved creating a genuinely creepy/scary look at the dark knight, this approach was more adult , gritty and mature, something I feel that some of the recent batman cartoons were taking away from the franchise. I enjoyed the portrayal and depiction of Batmans transformation throughout the story.
While it is unlikely to occur, a film adaptation (not that hokey poorly animated batman vs Dracula kiddy tie in) would be something to look forward to.
The downside is that the story feels a little too short, you just don't want it to come to an end. Also this was easily my favourite image of the joker yet and speaking of him not only is he present so is killer croc, two face and even scarecrow makes an appearence along with the many vampires and Dracula himself.
I would sooner read these titles than some subtle pedo pandering crap such as K-ON (sorry fans of that series, although I enjoyed elements of the show and it an be cute/funny at times that does little to change the fact it is an anime aimed at adult males with 17 year olds who look like they are at the very most 12, not that it is the only series that does this, Maria+holic is targetting cross dressing shotacon fanatics, does it make you people feel better inside knowing Mariya is really a boy and not actually the flat chested young girl he looks like? ) .I actually was so impressed I ended up putting in an order some some other western comics aswell, Arkam asylum , battle pope and soon killing joke and sandman will be added to that list.

Never again shall I judge an anime by its title, bar its terrible name Princess tutu (and I have no fear of admitting this or imasculation) is a suprisingly good magical girl series, maybe not on the level of cardcaptor sakura, nanoha and shugo chara. The animations a little weak and the character designs unusual but it feels darker than most, often very amusing to watch too and the English and Japanese voices are quite close together. Additionally it has a nice soundtrack and I am enjoy its more surrealistic/fairytale aspects. Watching I learnt that one doesn't need to be female or knowlegable of dancing to like this. Speaking of judging anime by title I would have never thought legend of the galactic heroes would have kept me interested for more than two episodes, I am now on episode 17 and feel like I can commit to all 110. While, true it can progress very very slowly and the initial animation (though it improves) isn't fantastic there is something there that makes you want to see what is going to happen next. Yang and Reinhardht (the latter especially) are engaging and interesting characters and as far as famous science fiction epics are concerned I consider legend of the galactic heroes to be much better than the stars wars films which only had their visuals to go on. Rather than the action scenes , it was the character interaction /conversations and politics /motivations that were far more interesting.


Also read all of what was available of melty bloods manga, expected a poor drawn cash in but instead got a visually detailed, funny, entertaining series with plenty of good action and a storyline that turned out to be better/stronger/more complex than I thought it would have been which is nice to see , it would have been a shame if it had been another generic fighting game based plot.... ]]> ~Sabata-kun http://Sabata-kun.deviantart.com/journal/24083142/ http://Sabata-kun.deviantart.com/journal/24083142/ Sun, 05 Apr 2009 20:10:50 PDT In one of the stories I read I had the misfortune of seeing my ideal image of a child put through an ordeal that I don't wish to further elaborate on, the whole time all I could think of was my future child alone in the world and suffering I wanted nothing more than to rescue/protect/save this poor girl. It is true yes that I consider a certain type of child to be a very beautiful thing and would very much like to raise a child that meets my preferred qualities but never..never once did I attach annything other than a parental affection to that and it sickens me to see what should be a pleasent older bother/father/daughter/guardian/child relationship distorted into some sort of criminals wet dream.

I'm sorry for this outburst/rant but I needed to get this off my chest.
Over the past couple of years some other experiences with unsavoury people and an exposure to some particularly disgusting anime/manga when I was still very young to this day I find myself dealing with uncontrollable random thoughts I would rather not have of grotesque violence, rape, slavery, murder, gore, torture and pedophilia. Sometimes I am scared and nervous around women and young children because of what I have seen/read can at times lead me to visualize such things happening to those in front of me. This is one of the reasons I am so afraid of having children/bathing/changing one. Whats worse is that I nearly always end up imagining a version of myself commiting these cruel acts on others. I have no desire to do these things in fantasy setting and certainly not in reality.

However I do love gundam 00 and enjoy mecha/giant robot anime.
I have enjoyed the Japanese versions of every gundam series at some time in my life and I am really happy with the perfect choices they made for the Japanese version of 00 .
Unfortunetly many gundam English dubs have been less than impressive.
I don't hate English dubbing, I'm not the sort of person who shuns the very notion of watching anime in any other format other than unsubtitled and in Japanese only.
I actually love both subs and dubs , I even prefer English dubs but in the words of Sebastian Michaels....this dub..this horrid dub...this stupor...I feel an urge to commit a murder felt appropriate.
I have never raged so much in my life at this purile , sorry excuse for a dub. Now I hate most dubs of mecha anime apart from jinki extends (which is actually a terrible show) and I understand that there are worse dubs out there that censor things but apart from felt , Christina , Tieria and liu mei's voices this was a travesty of the highest of orders.
Sorry for this rant but I am really unhappy with ocean group right now, I really don't enjoy their dubs. Everything didn't fit , the voices were so flat and unfitting. I haven't been this unintentionally amused by something like this since To heart.

What I enjoyed about the holiday:-I went to the Orsay Museum (Works included sculptures, Rodin, Manet, Monet, the Black cat theatre and Van Gogh. I particularly enjoyed the Sculptures, Rodin and Monet exhibits)
-I visited the arc de triomphe
-I visited the Eiffel tower and climbed to the top.
-I walked the Champs D’eleysee .
-I visited a cemetery for famous people, among those buried there included Chopin and Oscar Wilde.
-I managed to write a poem while about my trip.
-I enjoyed the food/drink
-I went to Mont Marte , climbed the steps there and saw the Church.
-I saw the outside of the Louvre.
-I saw the cathedral at Notre Dame.
-I explored Paris as a city
-I was able to purchase gifts for my girlfriend.
-The trains are very reliable.
-My sunburn healed by the time I got home.
-I got some more anime posters as well as some art posters.
-Plenty of pictures were taken.
-I was with people I know. Some of us have knowledge of French.

What I didn’t enjoy about the holiday: -Being a large city as it is Paris was very overcrowded and noisy.
-The trains were regularly overfilled.
-Most of our money was spent on food/transport/drink. I think I spent over 300 euro alone out of the 700 I brought.
-The weather was simply just too warm for me.
-Being tired/sunburnt /walking constantly/having sore feet/sore legs /sweating a lot/having a mouth ulcer/waking up early for almost a week was not much fun.
-There was the rare occasion where I felt bored/had nothing to do.
-While there was a large selection of anime/manga (Including stuff never released in America or Ireland) unlike the last time I could not find anything that was dubbed/translated/subtitled in English. This only served to annoy me.
- There were two persistent/annoying salesmen who harassed me.
-My French is not fluent.
-Getting lost is not fun at all.
-The amount of trains we had to get was frustrating.
-An arcade I once went to the last time I was in Paris was no longer there.
-A friend of mine was injured/ taken to the hospital with a damaged ligament in his leg. However we, including he himself managed to laugh about it which is not so bad. He should be fine in roughly a fortnight
-The two days of the holiday were quite stressful.
- Due to being abroad and a poor network contact was hard/expensive.
-I found myself swamped with things to do (along with the usual stress of coming home from a holiday)when I got home.I ended up trying to do a million things at once, leading me to fall/hurt my back and behind, felt queasy and faint for a very brief moment afterward but am fine now.
-Unfortunately due to time constraints we couldn’t do everything.
-We didn’t go to the Effel tower on the first day.
-The poem I wrote is not that great and I also didn’t get to write a whole lot when I was there. Nor was I able to think of much else to write. Actually the poem I wrote is not presentable (I am really that disappointed with it)
-Felt slightly homesick during the nights there.
-Unfamiliar bathroom/shower/sink/bed


It may not sound as if I enjoyed my trip to Paris, but I honestly had a genuinely did have a nice time. That being said I am happy to be back in Ireland, my home country.
I may return to Paris again, except in one of the colder, winter months .

I was thinking back to when I first watched Cardcaptor sakura and read/viewed oh my goddess and remembered how no matter how many times I watch them again it will never be as special as the first time I experienced them, it disapoints me that I cannot recapture this feeling. Both series were early introductions for me to Japanese comics and cartoons , everything else I have seen after that simply was not as special as that first time, my first encounter with Japanese anime and manga. They were also the first series' where I found a fictional character attractive.
I saddens me somewhat that I look back on cardcaptor sakura and feel that I do not like it as much as I did when I was little, Going back while I don't hate the Japanese or English voices by any means, they just aren't as great as I remembered. I have memories of thinking that the censoring in the English version was too excessive but now it doesn't seem to trouble me , in addition to that I feel as if I wasn't really missing out on much in the Japanese version anymore. I fear that if I rewatch any more of this series or look into anything to do with it again for a long period of time(The same applies to oh my goddess) I may end up hating it or destroying my fond childhood memories.
For now I am happy talking about what I adored/remember about both series when I was younger along with the memories I associate with them so I think I will leave it at that for the time being. At the same time I have felt compelled to or have had a strong desire to get back into those old classics again.
It isn't just anime/manga related memories I associate with these series but also the times of my life when I watched/read them, the people who enjoyed them with me, how they inspired me greatly, as well the places where I was looking at those series' .
Maybe these feelings I have come from the fact I am being overly nostalgiac, miss my childhood, want to turn back the clock, perhaps I have finally simply realised that I am an adult and have grown up.
Alternatively it could be that I am still a little pissed off that some of my favourite clothes got ruined earlier.
Another theory I have is that this could be my emotions bursting out, by in large feelings/emotions don't come naturally for me like they would for others.

As for the shana dvds, the fact I heard that they were going out of print and that geneon is out of buisness had me concerned.
I am also a bit worried that play might make a mistake with my gunslinger girl orders, they have made errors before and sent me the wrong product.
I was hoping that alot of these products would have made it in time for my birthday...
shame.

I am happy to report that by mid January I am going to have a significant amount of money.
-I get 30 euros a week now from my father as pocket money.(half of what I originally got) this will quickly accumulate as I very rarely spend money.
-I will still have the majority of the money I got for Christmas and my birthday.
-My job at the post office will haved earned me at least 600 euro.Shortly after my birthday this money will be delivered to the bank.
-I currently have about 300 euro in my pockets right now which I have saved up.

As a result by sometime in January I will be carrying around over 900 euro.
Much of this will undoubtably saved in case of emergencies or for peoples future birthday/christmas presents, maybe some of it will go towards a holiday and some art books too.

-The office is easy to find.
-The job is well paid (11:30 per hour)
-The work I am required to do is manageable, nothing difficult at all.
-A map was given to me for the area in which I work.
-Delivering post is actually quite fun, simple enough and enjoyable.
-My supervisor is extremely helpful.
-My supervisor drives me to my designated area whenever he can.
-9:30/9:35 start.
-Friendly co-workers
-I happen to know one of the people working there.
-For the most part I am kept busy and occupied at at all times.
-Short hours. I find myself getting home before 3 o clock.
-Because of a mix up, so far I have a lighter workload, thus I only have to do one route (houses 1 through 275)
-It is impossible for even myself to get lost.
-It has helped me enhance my already very strong memory, to the point where I can now also remember locations by heart, I couldn't do that before.
-If I get all of the post delivered I get to go straight home. I don't have to report back.
-Friendly clients.
-I am allowed to wear just about whatever I like.
-The bag of parcels/letters is not too heavy.
-Interesting work.
-The fact I am doing a lot of walking around means it acts as good exercise
-The end of my route happens to be just up the road from my house.
-Minimal letter sorting.Letters and parcels usually pre-sorted.
-I can take as much time as I need to make deliveries and to get back to the office when necessary.
-No work this Saturday and no work on Sundays
-I finish in ten days time.
-I quickly gained confidence while working.
-I was able to get into a working frame of mind.
-Any stress, nervousness or worry I may of had was gone by the second day.
-The people on the streets work on are helpful.

Disadvantages -While sorting letters is not difficult, it is no fun doing so at half past 8 in the morning.
-Sometimes the letters are sorted incorrectly, though this is thankfully rare. The result is some unnecessary moving about/backtracking.
-When a parcel cannot be delivered due to size, if the person does not claim it I have to write up a form and take it back to the office when I finish my days work. This is frustrating and adds at least and extra hour. Thankfully today my supervisor happened to be passing by and took the parcel back for me and filled out the form.
-Very long route.
-I am quite tired/hungry afterwards because of this I find myself not being up to doing much after work.
-I have to go to bed earlier .
-No break (This is not really a complaint in relation to not being able to eat, rather a complaint with regards not being able to sit down
-Early start, I have to be there by half past 8.
-Sometimes the postman/supervisor takes a while to get ready.
-Not a career I can see myself doing permanently .
-It is easy to make mistakes when delivering post, fortunetly this has only occurred with one house today. I accidentally delivered the wrong letters to one house.
-There have been incidences where people have asked me to gives them letters before I reach their houses.
-A shame that I will have to work on Christmas eve and next saturday.

From that day until christmas eve I will be working as a postman's aide, which involves helping a postman,assisting them with deliveries and following instructions.
I will be working on at least one Saturday, the hourly pay will be 11:30, each working day will be 6 1/2 hours. By the end of the two weeks I spend there I will have 800 euro (Though I don't know if that is before or after tax).
For the time being my father and I intend to share a bank account (something that is necessary for someone who is working)

I decided not to bother visting the rooms with the anime screenings as many of the series/films they were showing I had already seen/owned or were simply I was not interested in watching, the same was the case for much of the manga on sale. I was also trying to save money(a shame because I had considered buying a volume of the steel angel kurumi manga and a figurine of ryuk.
I did however purchase a replica of the death note for 20 euro, a haruhi suzumiya artbook (which while good, could have done with more of noizi itos original concept drawings.That artbook was 35 euro. I purchased a poster of haruhi suzumiya and a poster of Dark mousy.I also bought volume 2 of the girls bravo manga for 5 euros. I gave a friend 25 euro for some final fantasy merchandise and I gave my girlfiend 30 euro for a sephiroth stuffed toy.
I addition to all of thia I also played super smash brothers melee and guilty gear accent core and conversed with other anime/manga fans.
I will certainly be returning to Eirtakon next year.

*My aunt is a qualified, skilled hairdresser/barber thus I was not required to pay to get my hair cut.
*My aunt cut my hair in a quick, efficient way.
*My aunt was very gentle while she was cutting my hair and beard, she did not make use of a razor/electric razor , everything was done with a scissors, this coupled with the fact my hair/beard weren't cut as short as I was worried they might has resulted in my back/neck feeling less itchy/uncomfortable/irriated, the shampooing of my neck/hair also helped as well.
*My aunt placed a towel around my neck afterwards and managed to take my mind off the fact I got my hair cut.
*I was given 20 euro from my father for going through with getting my hair cut.

The purpose of getting my beard and haircut was to increase my chances of getting employment(myself and my family came to the conclusion that my long hair/long beard were the only possible reasons we could think of that prevented me from being hired.)

As to what I make of my new appearence, I am quite indifferent to it.


Today I went for the interview for the postperson position. I was asked if I could use a bicycle or a car and was told that if I get the job I will be given training in lifting heavy objects. The rate of pay is 11.30 euro per hour, the hours of work are 6 1/2, the position is temoprary and lasts for two weeks (the 12th of december to the 24th of december)this is is not as bad as you might think, even though this is only for a short time it will still give me the benefit of more work experience. I will be aiding a postman with deliveries (while I would have prefered to work at a sorting office I am sure I would be able to adapt to this just as easily, it is encouraging to know that I will be in the presence of somebody more experienced/knowlegable, I will be able to follow this individual, thus this will prevent me from becoming lost (I have a pitiful sense of direction and have trouble finding things/places/where I am suppossed to go) .
I will be notified by next saturday regarding whether I have been accepted as an employee or not. I am disappointed that the interviewer did not ask me to discuss my knowledge of the company nor the skills I possess or the skills they are looking for. That is a shame given the fact I did quite a lot of preparation for this interview.
Though the good news is that I am almost garunteed (that is again if I get the job) to work close to home.

-Volumes 1, 2 and 3 of the Great teacher onizuka anime in Japanese with French subtitles, for my girlfriend. (58 euro)

-Crime scene investigation series five part one for my brother (20 euro)

-A box with a mint scented snowman and mint scented lotion for my grandmother , a cinnamon scented block for my mother, lemon scented christmas trees for my former childminder. All of these are bath related products aimed at older women. The full price amounted to about 26 euro. The staff of the shop I bought these items from were very helpful in helping me choose something.
I was specific about the age and genders of the people I was buying for and also mentioned how much I was advised to spend. A shampoo/oil product came free with what I bought, that will my gift to my aunt.
All of these gifts come with a 10 percent off discount for the people I bought them for.

-The complete collection of Father Ted. I bought this for my father, only 70 euros.

-Transformers the movie for my friend Mark. (20 euro)

-The simpsons movie for my friend mcdiaz (20 euro)

-Volume 9 of the Battle angel alita manga for my friend simon ( 10.50 euro)

Today.

Today I saw a person become the victim of racial violence, I did not get a good look at the attackers as they had escaped before I could do so . The mans mouth was bleeding. I helped him to his feet and moved him in the direction of a security guard with the help of his friend . I asked him if he was alright and advised him to get home quickly.


-Broken appliances/incompetent internet companies

-The person responsable for installing my new boiler has still not arrived to finish the job.
-My new boiler is already not working properly.
-My heating broke down.
-My fridge no longer works.
-I ordered volumes 2 through 4 of tsukoyomi moon phase, not only didthe dvd of volume 3 arrive before volume 2, Instead of recieving volume 2 I recieved a period drama instead. Now I am concerned if the company will send me CSI season 5, the simpsons movie and the transformers movie or not.
This same problem has happened before.
-For the GTO dvds, this is my first time ordering from an unfamiliar company so I am uncertain as to how realiable they are.


Tommorrow I intend to apply for christmas employment at my local off license.

It is evident that I will need to watch Lain a third time though.

Below was what I was able to decipher

-There is a man who managed to turn himself into a God of another world, he has the ability to effect and enter our world , he has followers, he also believes that humans have evolved into pathetic creatures and thinks that they should be united under him, in his domain.
-There is a group of hackers known as the knights of the eastern calculus, their origins date back to the knights templar, some of them are physical beings , others may not be, some knights are not considered to be true knights, the group is a secret society which appears to have a religious following and can interfere with technology. It is possible for them to tamper with the human mind. They also have technology which allows them to steal energy from people which results in those individuals souls being trapped within another world.

-This place I keep referring to as another world, is known as wired, it is clear that it is not only used for recreation and communication.

-The knights are pursuing the lead character.

-The main character has three other selves, she was created by the man who refers to himself as God, her family and friends are not real.

-The real world does not truly exist, it is a projection/halogram of wired, the same goes for the main characters real world self. She has apparently only truly existed in wired.

-The main character possesses mysterious powers, she can also delete peoples memories and has also been known as godly .

-other selves (at least one) /other personalities of the main character appear both in wired and the real world.

-A girl commits suicide in the first episode and contacts her classmates from beyond the grave, She tells the main character that she has found God.

-The main character is often told to come into wired.
-apparations, ghosts, mist, blood, smoke show up mysteriously, a naked, faceless image of the main character also appears in the sky.

-There was a character who was sleeping with her teacher.

-I got alot of enjoyment out of the first seven episodes , parts of episode eight , ten and all of episodes twelve and the thirteen.

-The lead characters sister goes insane after being sent strange messages telling her to fufil a prophecy.

-I mainly appreciate this series on an atmospheric and visual level. Its all very creative and at times actually rather tense and scary, particularly if you watch it alone.

-I am attracted to the main character.
-I am attracted to the sister of the main character

-The man who calls himself God looks and sounds like Michael Jackson.

-Some of the series makes absolutely no sense

-I can safely say that I could not make head nor tail of why there was an alien wearing a striped jumper in episode 9 or why there were so many references to famous scientists or the the roswell incident(really interesting stuff but why is it included here? It seems irrelevent). I just found this episode confusing.

-The mother of the main character seems to share little words with her family.

-The main character becomes completely obssessed with wired.

-When we first meet the main character she initially knows nothing about computers.

-Under no circumstances should anybody watch this dubbed. The script in the Subtitles is far far more clear, the voices are much better in the Japanese version as well. Lain is also a series which is easier to takr in if read.

-The main characters "parents" abandon her.

-There was a computer chip created by the knights that the main character used to access wired.

-There was a reference to the abuse of mind altering drugs and the abuse of it


Thats pretty much the only things I could grasp from Lain.

-I have been researching /preparing for an interview and familiarizing myself with information about the company I am applying for. This job is with the Dublin Institute of technology and involves clerical/office/computer/typing/filing/telephone related duties. The benefits of doing this is that I will receive 300 euro of pay (after taxation) as my starting weekly salary.
In addition to this it looks like an enjoyable, simple enough job. If I stick with it for 3 years then the company will give me a scholarship and pay me to attend their college (I've already done a year of college but four more couldn't hurt, especially if I don't have to pay anything to get in)
The fantastic thing about this employment prospect is that I have a very high chance of getting the job.I will be bringing a third level computers certificate as well as a more up to date CV with me to increase my chances of getting the job.

-If the Dublin institute of technology interview does not get me the job then I will be working temporarily as a postman during Christmas.

Also I finally got my heating fixed, that antique boiler (every winter it caused my heating to break down) is no more and has been replaced. In addition to that the radiators won't be making those immensely irritating clanking noises consistently anymore.

Lets take a look.

-Both light and lelouch are extremely intelligent.

-Light and lelouch are both anti-heroes
-Both characters possess a power that enables them to kill/control people.
-Both light and lelouch are psychopaths .


Similarities to innocent venus

-Jun fukuyama, the voice actor for lelouch also voices an important character in innocent venus
-Suzakus voice actor from code geass voices jin from innocent venus
-Both innocent venus and code geass feature roller skating robots
-Both shows feature an evil aristocracy .

In addition to this lancelot looks like a transformer.

I am very disappointed with it, but that is not to say I dislike everything about the second series. Lets take a look at the pros and cons.

Pros

-The animation and character designs have improved significantly
-There have been a few good action sequences so far.
-We've learnt more about the lead male character, if only a little.
-We have a very good ending tune.
-The original voice cast is still present
-Yoshida's breasts. (but that doesn't really count now does it)

Cons

-The new opening theme is only just average
-Yuji, the primary male character while we discover that his powers have increased, still hasn't really done much.
-Too much concentration on the romantic subplot, which was not handled very well to begin with and was quite frankly rather boring.
-The pacing has slowed down. Something I enjoyed about series one was that the storyline was complex, consistent , always interesting , on the move, nearly every episode was relevent .
-A character resembling one of the shows chief antagonists has been integrated into a subplot rather the main one, so far we have been convinced that this character is not the villain in question.
- The first two episodes were recap episodes and also deviated significantly from the book series attempting to fit in a character from the videogame.
-The slice of life/school life and comedic elements much like the romantic storyline just are not welcome in a fantasy/action series like shana. They are also tedious and poorly done.
-There was a drop in animation quality briefly.
-Far too many filler in episodes
-While learning more about silver, magery, midnight lost child and yuji's power is fun the information we have been given is still insufficient and not enough.
-Not enough scenes involving Bal-peol

Spiderman 3-This review was written prior to me seeing the film and was based on personal prediction/expectations of what the film was going to be like. One of the lines where I mentioned that I felt there were too many characters is just somebody else's sentence rewritten in my own words. None of the views I had on the film changed after I saw it.

Teenage mutant Ninja turtles 4-This one was the worst offender, I wrote this without actually seeing the full film .
This review was based on interviews with the voice actors and a wealth of clips from the film.

So in a way these "reviews" probably should have been placed in a preview category.

This crime is clearly the work of someone psychologically unstable and genuinely immature individual.
Death note has already caused quite a ruckus in China, now
Belgium .Incidences such as this hurt the series reputation. I hope that the Belgian people/government think this through very carefully and clearly before making any decisions to boycott death note or remove it from the shelves.
A comic cannot be used as a justification or a reason for a persons mental state.
Everytime we place the blame on a videogame or comic we are running away from the problem.
I also request for the murderer to give himself up and go to the police.
If this is the work of a student who found a body and placed the notes there, I don't think that this is a particularly amusing joke.

Now that I have the explanation out of the way I can move onto the actual story itself.
Recently , in Belgium, Brussels to be exact a mutilated body was located with a note left nearby with the message "I am Kira" written on it in Japanese. Amusingly the killer clearly cannot spell the word desu.

With death note in mind, the English dubbed version was suprisingly much better than I had expected after watching the trailer which suggested it would be mediocre.
One thing that bothers me was a particular inconsitency where it is mentioned that the characters are living in Japan but the currency they use is refered to as the dollar.

The battle against Darth Maul in episode 1 was the films only defining, interesting moment. The Pod racing aspects of the film took up far too much valuable time.
In episode 3 the battle with general grievous was the only scene I thought stood out to me.
On the topic of fan favourite Bobba Fett I do not understand how this character gained such cult status given his limited dialogue and role.
Maybe I feel this way because I enjoy deep films, void of flat , unispired, sloppy dialogue.
I am far more interested in the frankly more intellectual star trek sagas.

While not related to the star wars films starwars shadows of the empire on the the nintendo 64 was actually quite a good game, a shame it was not integrated into the films.
As for clone wars, the animation style keeps me at a distance .

As a result of this I cannot concentrate.

-I was happy that a company called me back recently and that I was able to arrange an interview however this was short lived as I discovered I do not have the correct working references to attend it. I intended to call them this morning, unfortunately the piece of paper I had with the specific number I had been told to call was missing, all attempts to locate it were unsuccessful . I checked my phones message center to see if the message mentioning the customer services number was still available as the coupon that had the number had been long since thrown away by my parents(keeping in mind that was not the exact number I needed). My phone decides to block me from hearing recorded messages several times, when I finally access the messages in a panic I became convinced that the message I was looking for had been deleted .
After calming down and waiting a little longer I discovered that the message was still there . I called customer services but they did not answer. I tried again and finally made contact. They told me to get a reference from a priest and a doctor after I informed them I didn't have any job references.
Honestly by this stage my interest in getting the job has lowered a great deal. My father said it would probably be better if I concentrated on a civil service job instead.

-I once registered on a website that offered a civil service position but when I tried to apply for a job later on I found that my account had become corrupted due to a problem with the site itself . I tried to register a new account but they wouldn't allow me to do so properly . When I tried to get my password and user name changed there was no response , this was attempted multiple times. I told to try entering my password and user name again and again (even though I knew it was pointless) but with no results.
Today I decided to approach these people up front and to get an application form, though due to my inability to find places and my tendency to get lost I was unable to find their office.
My brother will be helping me to find it tomorrow.
When I got home I found that I had at last been sent a new password. I entered that new password to find I still could not
access my account. I have made an honest effort to telephone the webmasters on several occasions but they did not answer me even once, they hung up on my father and when they eventually did talk to him they gave him the wrong advice .
I am not contacting these people again . My interest in applying for this job is minimal anyway, however I have no choice in the matter.

edit: I went to their office and they refused to give me a form and told me that no jobs in the civil service are currently available in Dublin, instead they gave me a new password, which still didn't work. Eventually for some reason after trying to enter the password several times it by some stroke of luck worked. Unfortunetly my parents failed yet again, I learnt that they had made a mistake and that they had told me that the job was Dublin based when it wasn't. As a result hours of futile effort were for nothing.

The above are just a hindrance to me , I want to move forward and hope that I receive a response from the people who are offering a clerical officer job at a nearby college. Additionally I want to be free to search for other jobs as I am waiting for the confirmation.

1.Lord Dijibril, with ease. This guy actually makes Adolf Hitler look like a saint. Dijibril murdered children, experimented on them, rewired peoples minds/deleted memories, used child soldiers and made sure that wars happened between earth and space so he could build a master race, control earth and profit from weapon sales . Among these crimes he also threatened people, launched nuclear strikes and used high ranking government officials, he even made sure a colony fell on earth so that people would hold a prejeduce towards those he felt were unfit to live. Dijibril like his prdeccesor Azrael is in fact the devil himself.

2.Gihren zabi (Hitler incarnate plain and simple,

The above three have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

4. Rau le creuset (He may have wanted to wipe out mankind, but his actions were understandable given how he was subjected to a life of medical defects, viewed as nothing more than a replacement, also his goals were to eliminate war, jealousy, arrogance ,greed and hatred. For these reasons I place him at number 4 )

5.Light Yagami (Light is taking third place of this list because while a self rightgeous, minipulative, calculating dictator and a murderous psychopath his actions were well intentioned as he wished to eliminate evil)

6. Akito souma (She ruined peoples lives, relationships, physically and psychologically abused people, she wants to essentially imprison her family, she is controlling, frightens/minipulates others, loathes women, cages, stabs and starves people, however it is Ren who drove her to it. She also shows remorse later in the story )

7. Cassval zeon zum daikun (Cassval fought to avenge his family, his father in particular and to create a world where psychics could live in peace. He also seeked to destroy a corrupt regime. However he is being included on this list because he wishes to punish earth with a nuclear attack because he believes it's people neglected/ruin it. He hopes this will force them to migrate into space and wants to unlock their full potential.

-It appears that the first episode of shana II is mostly a recap of some events from the first series. I don't normally like that, recap episodes but in this situation I didn't mind, I feel it is necessary to be given a few reminders of shana's complicated story, also got to relive some moments from the first series and from what I am told from those who speak Japanese, this recap of events is important to sakai's character.

-The new footage although there not much of it has me excited about next weeks episode, we've got a new character that was introduced in this episode and it looks like Bal-peol will be coming back into the story sooner than I thought. I am looking forward to the battle to save Yoshida from the Bal-masque.

-Not pleased with the opening song, the vocals don't sit well with me. The tune is alright however.
The ending theme is better than the tune played in the television series.

I have just finished watching the sakugan no shana film and have decided to give a quick opinion of it in this journal.

-This looks like a retelling/compilation of the series first six episodes .
-The animation is somewhat improved.
-Nearly all of the original voice cast make a return.
-This adaptation is more faithful to the books.
-There are more scenes and action sequences featuring friagne (Easily my favourite demon in the series), marianne and their army of living dolls.
-The plot is the same except for the omission of lamies and the inclusion of some information that is revealed in later episodes.
-There are some changes in the script and some scenes occur in a order that differed from the television series.
-There are some songs exclusive to the film and quite frankly they are much better than some of the poor songs in the series. In one particular scene the choice of music creates a sense of emotion that was non-existent in the series.
-The inclusion of a few extra scenes
-The removal of some scenes that appeared in the television series.
-A better pace.
-Some amusing nods too wihelamina (a character who appears late in the series)
-Watching shana as a 90 minute film makes it easier to remember/concentrate/follow what is going on in the story.

In closing it looks like this film takes just about everything that was good about the series, keeps it intact and adds so much more at the same time . Anything that was bad about the series has been removed .
A must for fantasy and shana fans. It's a great film.
I look forward to the compilations of other episodes of the series in the future.

Both the original mobile suit gundam and star trek series were unpopular when they were first shown to audiences but after a re-release they became more appreciated .
In addition to this many fans of both franchises believe that while some of the series that followed were indeed enjoyable, they failed to touch them in the way the original did.

The original star trek series has the following : A strong balance of Action, politics , science fiction, drama , steady pace and excellent acting. A similarity with Mobile suit gundam is that Spock is similar to char aznable in terms of cultural impact and popularity . Another common trait is that both first gundam and the original star trek were ahead of their time and have aged well. They are also considerably more violent than some of their sequels, the slapping/punching scenes in both series while they look old now still have an impact on the viewer. I remember being shocked at first by bright and sleggars use of physical discipline in the first gundam series, Khan's use of physical force during his takeover of the enterprise in star trek effected me in a similar way.
You don't see much of this in gundam seed/wing (Unless you count Athrun's girly slap in seed destiny as anything) or next generation/deep space nine.
It seems that television programs and films of the 1960's and 1970s (in particular) were
more savage in their content.

Deep space 9 has : A great mix of politics, science fiction, it was well casted, had action and continuity but was missing something in the drama department. Deep space 9 was also known to have a slow pace on occassion


Next generation: Good drama , decent politics, an exceptional cast but lacked action .

Enterprise-Failed in just about all fields

Voyager-Lacked the complexity and depth in both it's characters and plot other star trek series had and felt very contrived.


Both the follow ups to first star trek and first gundam no matter how good or bad the plots and characters were, they were just not as gripping. It was however nice to see more concentration on the borg.

1. Why do people cry when a friend, family member or loved one dies?
This I have always had trouble grasping. Crying accomplishes nothing , it will not bring anybody back from the dead.Surely the person who has passed on does not want to cause us an upset. Rather they would prefer that we remember the positive memories shared when they were alive. We need to remember that people never truly die, so long as we keep them alive in our thoughts. This means that they are in a way still with us, in a spiritual/psychological sense. This should be viewed not as cold hearted but as the correct way to honour/celebrate the life of the deceased.
I wish to state that I am not the sort of person that cries.

2. Why do people have to organize funeral after partys?
Honestly I think this is genuinely very distasteful , a funeral is not an occassion for a party.

3. Why do people miss others?
Really when somebody is seperate from you for a long period of time , why should you feel depressed or miss them? They are safe and sound and they will come back safely, you will see them again eventually. Theres no need to get so worried/scared.

4. Why do people have certain reactions to relationships?
Why are people unable to be happy for the happiness of the person who left them?
Why do they become self serving, selfish, diluded , obssessive , illogical , jealous , conceited and possessive individuals controlled by their feelings and still claim that they were actually in love? People can believe in their own definitions of love. I will stick to mine.

5. Why do we kill and discriminate?

6. Why do we fear our own death?
This seems rather futile, whats the point of being afraid of a destiny you can't escape?

7. How can somebody be 100 percent sure that they are in love or just confused?

8. Why do we believe or disbelieve in a deity?

There is no proof that a God exists , there is no proof that a God does not exist. This means atheism and religious belief are both wrong by undeniable fact.

9. Why fight over ideas, why can't we just take all of the good ideas and merge them into one big great idea?

10. Why do we search for one main meaning of life common to everyone, when the meaning of life differs from person to person? We should place more emphasis on finding our reason, not the reason for others.

11. Why is it wrong to kill those of whom hold humanity back? (example, criminals, pedophiles, rapists, those who cheat on others, racists, homophobic, ignorant, stupid and discriminative, useless or right wing people, you know errors, mistakes)

12. Why is it wrong to minipulate/decieve/observe people as a way of exposing their wrongdoings when it is to make them better people and give them a chance to change and escape ridicule/death?

13. Why commit suicide?
Why do so many not consider the consequences of their actions? They will end up hurting themselves and/or others.

14. Why be pro war or anti war?
Surely a person can't be completely pro or anti war. There is a time to fight and a time for peace, thats just common sense. Would you be happy leaving under a nazi dictatorship? Would you be content with letting Hitler get away with what he did? I thought not.

15. So many people disagree with the death penalty and yet they believe hitler should have recieved it, hypocrisy? Of course it is.



I think in the cases of question 1 to 4 and number 6 a particularly strong/selfless type of person is needed.

It's about time someone smoked this little bastard, if anything his death will never be graphic enough.
For the uninformed Makoto Itou is the lead male character in the anime and manga school days. Over the course of the series he is guilty of the following crimes :
1. He is a user of women and only cares about their bodies.
2. He is a sex maniac.
3. Over the course of the series he cheats on his first girlfriend and has sexual relations with at least four other girls , it is implied that there are another three.
4. He is deceptive, he does not inform his partners that he is cheating on them.
5. Lies to his partners.
6.After getting his best friend pregnant he goes back to his first girlfriend,
7. He practically ignores his first girlfriend on the first and only date they have during the series and bores her.
8. He rushes his relationships.
9. He caused his girlfriends to emotionally break down.
10. After he gets his friend pregnant he acts like it isn't his fault.
11. He actually kisses his first girlfriend knowing that the friend he impregnated is standing right in front of him.

I despise him. He meets his death by being killed in a knife frenzy before being decapitated. A lenient end I think..but at least he's gone. I frankly prefer his slow and painful demise by castration in the game.
His first two girlfriends (the ones that didn't abandon him ) decend into insanity and this results in one of them having their throat cut before being chopped open.

Makoto's first girlfriend survives , I am in debate as to whether I like this turn out or not. Had she committed suicide like in one of the games endings I feel it would have added to the emotion/tragedy and would have spared her of a life where she would forever live with the fact she murdered her love rival.

Well the death of makoto itou brightened up my day, I'm sure all of the other "we hate mokoto" fanclub members will be delighted too.

Ren is disturbing for the following reasons :
1. She ran at her daughter holding a kitchen knife.
2. She threatened to kill her daughter/not give birth to her if the child was not raise as a man.
3. She slept with her daughters lover.
4. She would list the people who left her daughter to live elsewhere .
5. Claimed that her daughter was dilussional and insignificant
6. Was psychotically jealous of the attention her daughter recieved.
7. Claimed that her daughters family members only pretended to care about her.
8. Lied to one of her relatives, claiming she new how to break a chinese curse when she did not, as a result her relative was locked up and tortured by her daughter.
9, She drove her daughter to madness turning the child into an abusive monster with a deep fear of abandonment.
10.Her devotion to her husband was creepy, it couldn't even be called love, it was obsession.
11. She never once held her daughter.
12. Said "Why does everybody notice this child, they should pay attention only to me" about her daughter.
13. When her daughter was given a box (which her daughter believed had her fathers spirit) ren stole the box.
14. Physically ren is rather disturbing, thin, meek, sickley in appearence with a slanted, insane look in her eyes. She also has a psychotic smile and a long sunken face/neck.

I think because child abuse is a real life issue is what makes ren so unsettling to read about. I suspect she turned out of this due to neglect by her ill husband.



The next question deals with the character you find most attractive above all other characters.
In my case that would be a tie between louise francoise blanc du valliere or Katsura Kotonoha .

I tried to sew them for years long after they had passed their time , I think it's only been two or three years since I started wearing something else. I now wear 4 pairs of tracksuit trousers, which means I have come a long way. More recently I have been able to find suits (apart from the jackets) very comfortable, particularly the trousers/slacks.
Over the past few weeks I have found myself being able to wear the other two long sleeved t-shirts I own for longer periods of time(This is likely largely due to the fact I soften them then place them in a dryer.) I've still got to get used to Jeans but I think I have made progress.
I still freak out though over short sleeves or t-shirts with any loose or torn fabric of any kind.

Normally at about one o clock in the morning of every third day after switching tops for a few hours I wash/fabric condition/scent my prefered top along with my other clothes , I then place them in a dryer (complete with scented tissues), soften my garments and put them away, sleep and go straight from bed to the shower after I wake up, during that shower I use special gel and anti dandfruff shampoo, I use the normal shampoo and conditioner twice and the anti dandruff once before finishing (I also wash my underarms twice, at the beginning and at the end), after that to ensure that I can repeat the process I spray myself with a mixture of perfumes/deoderants and anti perspirents , thus there is no smell of sweat for three days (after doing so I put on my prefered top which I washed the night before). Afterwards I have to make sure my hair is combed and brushed in a way that is light and comfortable , this stops the spread of dry skin, following that I wash specific parts of my forehead with a cold face cloth, this more often than not makes dry skin vanish for three days.
If these requirements are not met, I will not leave the house.
When I get a job I will do everything each second day, including the shower and much earlier at that (when I get home) .

Whenever I see a stain on my trousers I am bothered by it, sometimes when I am touched I brush myself off with my hand.
I wash my lower body, hands and face after every toilet visit.

I am not asking for much in my life, all I really want is to live, to work, to be paid, to mantain contact with those I care about , a furnished flat and the ability to meet the requirements I mentioned to ensure my comfort and concentration.
One of the best feelings I can ever experience is to be dressed in my prefered clothes after my hair is completely dry, the wind blowing into the computer room on a cold day
as I watch anime or read comics/manga.
This feeling is similar to a dream, a comfortable warm bed , a sense of freedom as if I was sprouting wings, gaining the ability to fly.

When ever there is a mess somewhere or housework to be done I have to do it.

Bleach-Watched some clips of it and had a short read of the manga and didn't know what to think of it, found myself strongly disliking it at first.
However watching a full episode through now I have come to enjoy it, but I still don't think it is as good as everyone has made it out to be. The dubbing is excellent, with the exception of rukia's voice. The series is a good blend of action and humour.

Escaflowne-Every bit as wonderful as I remember it being when I watched it as a child and I was right the channel is showing undited English language versions of every series they are broadcasting.

Planettes-I might review this if I continue to enjoy it , this was a well voiced, interesting, well animated and at times amusing introduction.

Transformers headmasters-I admit I am anything but a transformers fan, one could say I have a great disdain for the franchise. This Japanese continuation of G1 (and you can rest assured, I don't like transformers G1) does little to win me over. While the action sequences are an improvement over the English cartoon that still is not enough to grip me. The voice actors (one of G1s few good points) differ substantially from those featured in the 1980's series. None of the voices suit the characters and overall the actors don't seem to put in any effort or emotion in their preformances, it all feels very unprofessional and I am sure is disapointing to all of the transformers fans out there. To make matters worse every few minutes a narrator cuts in, he sounds rather bored, monotonous/monotone.
The dialogue is worse than that of the 80's series and features some translation errors.
I shan't be watching any more of this.

Gundam seed-I still can't watch this dubbed, but when I watch the Japanese version I find it highly enjoyable and the series faults don't even bother me.

I am confused as to why I have yet to be accepted for a career.

-It has nothing to do with the times I am applying at. I have been applying before and during September with no results
-I have met with the companies a second time, still no feedback.
-I have called back the companies, they tell me they weren't taking anyone on.
- I studied for my interview and it seemed to go well, however the company has decided to not process my application (The civil service failed to process my application too)
-I have applied at over 20 locations but that has gotten me nowhere.
-I made sure my CV was properly structured and that the time I got one, made sure my application from was fully and correctly filled in.
-I have more experience and a better set of exam results than a certain friend yet he still succeeded in getting and job while I did not.
-The fact that I'm not being accepted for work has absolutely nothing to do with the clothes I wear. On a number of occasions I have approached employers in a suit, combed/tied back my hair, trimmed my beard slightly and I managed to be as unlucky as I was when I wore casual clothes.

So even the stupidest person can see why I am rather confused as to why I haven't gotten a job yet.
Nonetheless I will keep trying to find work.
If I find myself being unable to find work. I am repeating my exams and trying to get into a journalism course in a college (I heard an evening course is not enough)

recently : -I was trying to watch an episode of zero familiar and claymore in piece however there was too much noise in the room.
To make matters worse my father came in and interrupted my concentration, in addition to that he began speaking in a mock version of the Japanese language, soon after my mother came in twice to interrupt me.
I am self conscious about doing things/watching things in front of others as it is.
-While trying to watch an episode of another anime series when I did get some privacy my mother showed up halfway through and I had to leave the room. I couldn't watch it upstairs in my room due to my fathers snoring being too loud/distracting.
-people were around me all day when I just wanted to be by myself.

My father complains that I live an isolated life and doesn't understand that the reason is because I can't go out with the very friends I have (besides going to the cinema and town with them and they hate the idea of the latter) is because I am disgusted by the things that they do, but it doesn't change the fact I still care about them.
Reasons why I don't go out at night with my friends are because:

-I have a moral objection to alcohol
-I hate the taste of alcohol.
-Being in a large group of people makes me feel very uncomfortable
-I am afraid of drunk people , uncomfortable , angered, annoyed and frustrated by them and am ashamed to be seen with them due to the fact they are nothing but an embarrassment to me when they are in a drunk state.
-I detest the atmosphere in pubs , I don't like small, dark, overly warm places with music so loud it hurts my ears.
-I'm not really interested in music or dancing much.

Moving away from all of that I am still unable to make up my mind, I'm still indecisive, look at things to logically/intellectual , think either too little or too much. I'm still can't see things as emotionally as I would hope to.

Someday next week, thursday I believe at 9 o clock a new channel with appear, channel 199 I think. It will be called anime central and will start everyday at 9 o clock and end in the early hours of the morning. Later broadcast on the channel are repeats of earlier showings just in case you've missed anything.

So far we can expect : Gundam seed, witch hunter robin , Hack sign , ghost in the shell stand alone complex, planettes, full metal alchemist, wolfs rain, escaflowne, transformers headmasters, scryed, cowboy bebop and bleach.

Given the time of night these series will be being broadcast there is a good chance that these will be unedited english dubbed versions which is good to hear.
Not too much so far but I am sure that the channel with improve and has plenty of potential.

I have already seen all of gundam seed and full metal alchemist, gundam seed was alright but flawed, Full metal alchemist I thought was one of the worst anime series I have seen and perfect example of how to take an excellent manga and turn it into a terrible anime adaptation.

I have seen some of scryed but I prefer the Japanese version, I have seen parts of wolfs rain before and enjoyed it, I look foward to seeing more of it.

I watched escaflowne growing up and loved it, I can't wait to see it again in good quality.

I really don't know what to make of bleach or witch hunter robin , I haven't seen enough of bleach and I know nothing about witch hunter robin.

Note that the following is written in the most agnonizingly simple way possible to insure that everyone can understand what I am saying crystal clearly.
I mean no offense by the way any of this is phrased and am in no way trying to be condecending.

-My child will address me by my name.
-I would give the child an understandable name that is not too long.
-If the child misbehaves I will not resort to hitting them, nor will I resort to shouting. Rather I will calmly sit the child down and take them through an explanation of what they are doing is wrong and that it only leads to themselves becoming upset and accomplishes nothing.
In more severe cases I will not respond to the child and ignore them if they throw a tantrum, hit me or insult me. I believe that it is important not to give in , if I fight back it only results in the child getting exactly what they want.
Other people can use physical discipline if they want but that sort of action is not for me.
I would be especially uncomfortable with the idea of hitting a daughter ( because men are not allowed to hit women , its not right, its illegal unless the mans life is at risk)
In other events of misbehaviour I may pick up the child and place them in an area where they have nothing to do.
There will be times of course where I would think about resorting to amusing punishments such as pillow fights, melting icecream with a hair dryer , tickling or running into a room with a hocky mask (holding an activated hoover like a scythe while shoulding something along the lines of wrrrryyy )

-I can safely say, bathing and cleaning a child would be very difficult.
-I would be afraid of dropping a baby by accident.
-I would hope to not become verbally angry at my child. I would also like to avoid a situation where I keep a written note of my childs bad qualities.I rarely get angry, but when I do I probably do say things that would have a bad psychological effect on the person I am angry with.
-I would either be very nervous about relating to a daughter or will shower her with affection.
-If I do become angry, to avoid bursting into a fit of verbal attacks/barbs. I will whisper what I was going to say to a tree or write it down on a page. This method works particularly well if I was about to take my anger on someone who has nothing to do with what I was angry about. This and I cannot be more obvious here is in NO way an act of dishonesty. The very notion of that being declared dishonest is both a challenge to understand and completely and utterly wrong.

Straight to the point, I want to voice my disagreement and state that I strongly , for the most part prefer to watch/read anime and manga in English, I also prefer purchasing the DVDs/comics in shops rather than watching/reading over a computer screen.
My reasoning for this is as follows :

1. By buying the dvds I can watch them in better quality, in private and on a larger screen.

2. Subtitles or translations by fans while in general are good may contain many spelling/translation errors or are worded/phrased in a way I dislike.

3.It is easier to pick up and put down a book than it is to do so through a computer. For example I can't tell someone to stop using the computer for five minutes so I can read twelve pages , give it back to them and then ask to read a further twelve pages on the computer ten minutes later.

4. Having something in book format increases the number of places where it can be read.

5. For the most part, many Japanese voice actors I have heard give rather poor performances in my opinion.

6. Dubbed versions are rarely available to watch for free online.

7. The creators make more money if I buy the comics/dvds

8. I can insure that the series I like has a higher chance of getting a continued European , UK localization .

9.It's not actually that expensive to buy the comics/dvds.

10. Collectors value.

11. The comics can be read more authentically .

12. Watching something in your own language makes it easier to understand and pick up on the dialogue, sometimes it's easy to miss or misread a subtitle.

13. Many dubs aside from sailormoon , yugioh , pokemon , one piece are actually pretty impressive and faithful to the Japanese versions in terms of content.
Even some of the dubs that remove content such as the English version of cardcaptor sakura are excusable, even understandable.

14. It is law abiding to buy the dvds/comics


Of course there are a few exceptions to this. There are situations where I will watch the original Japanese version of an anime.

1. If the series has tolerable voice work.

2. Even though I am mostly biased towards English dubbing. I cannot sit through a dubbed version of a gundam series.

3. If the series does not have a dubbed version.

4. If the series is not available where I live .

Of course at a young age we responded by saying what are parents told us was complete nonsense.
However when we reached the age of 18 and were allowed to watch 18+ we were disapointed.
It was then as adults we learnt that our parents words were wise , they were right .
Most of all we discovered that as children the reason we wanted to see such things was because of the fact we were not allowed to. It just wasn't the same when we got the freedom to do so...

I tend to like anime/manga that invokes an emotional reaction , is good humoured , has good action , a strong story , is emotionally involving , features plot twists and is diverse.
In all cases where appropriate I am referring to all versions/ovas/seasons of each series (anime and manga both)
This is in no particular order.
-escaflowne
-Imperial puppet orchestra
-Reqiuem from the darkness (I avoided this title for a long time assuming based on its name it was a hentai series, upon reading a review on the them anime website I decided to look into it further to find a story packed with just the right dosage of violence and a highly unique visual style that must be seen to be believed.
While the Japanese voice overs work well the dub here is not so good. The art style intriguing as it is cannot disguise animation that is actually not as great as you may be led to believe . The characters and overall storyline also feel too underdeveloped and not all of the individual stories in each episode are entertaining. Most of the plotlines however can be praised for accomplishing quite an impressive amount in a short time, some of these stories are very well written and even offer the occasional twist at the end.As much as the series attracted me with its strengths , the glaring flaws are very apparent , it is obvious that 12 episodes was much too small to fully tell the main story.)I did like though requiem's nihilistic approach to showing mankind at its lowest level and keeping up a consistently strong atmosphere throughout.)
-Speed grapher ( I am highly surprised that I a veteran critic of studio gonzo am enjoying this series so much, the series is hardboiled, hard nosed , has an appealing , tough as nails male lead,combines a fast paced plot with plenty of action and still manages to include a healthy amount punchy dialogue. Speed grapher is just the right length at 24 episodes, grips its viewers attention from the get go and is downright addicting to the point where I managed at all 24 episodes in one sitting . The problems? Few, while the gory action sequences , atmospheric/edgy scenes are well animated, the series is only aesthetically convenient and the animation quality does vary, the character designs are also rather uninteresting and the dubbed version while largely impressive is not perfect and does have some shaky performances ). On occassion speed grapher shows itself to be a little too overthetop to downright silly at times, one episode features a cannibal crystal woman who eats jewels and a group of unconvincing, off colour eccentric transexuals. Though it is the bizzare sex that comes off as the most disdainable. The series does a particularly good job developing its antagonists, even some of the goons but it is the lead villain and his three henchmen that get the best attention and prove that they are far more than one dimensional cutouts, hell I actually almost teared up at the badguys backstory.
-Ruler of Nabari(Though I would have liked more had they adapted more of the source material, had a less angsty story and more than just average animation)

-Dr Black Jack (and that goes for Black Jack 21 at that as well which despite its mediocre vocals, poor animation , outdated art was a perfectly paced , well told storyline that didn't waste a moments time, the helpful plot summaries/story thus far were kept brief but still managed to make the show accessible to those who may have missed an episode. Still though for aesthetic reasons I prefer the ova.

-Sentimental journey/Diamond Daydreams/seraphim call (A unique collection of short straight romance/drama stories that avoid the regular trappings of the genre, the first two feature highly nostalgic character designs from the 90's era and the moe art style of that period before that archetype became a wet dream for pedophiles . This plan involves.

-Removing individual constitutions in Europe, granting full power to the European council with one single European constitution .
-Every country in Europe joins the Union
-This plan allows for better , easier travel between member states and less paperwork .
-Creating one country known as Europe would allow for a wealthy nation with a large, combined economy and high employment.
-Common law ( hopefully tough ones , higher sentances and captital punishment)
-A combined miletary power used for defense, foreign aid and peace keeping.
-Every member state must accept the euro as their official currency.
-English, French and German is to be compulsory in all schools.
-Freedom of all beliefs, races, politics and religion.
-Civil unions for same gender couples to keep everyone happy.
-One anthem, to be sung in Latin
-The united army and police have the right to arrest you for a crime no matter where you go on the continent .
-Doing this would hopefully increase trade with America
-More concentration on the film industry, make some films that suit the times.
