I've been trying to work on my web page. Which has been difficult since I knew nothing. I got something up and now I want to revamp it. Its baaaaaad. Anyways if anyone has a banner I'll throw it up on my links page. Just send it to me. I don't have banners yet I want to work on the page more. I'll tell everyone when I'm slightly pleased with it.

This has been the worse...2 months, 3 months. I donno Just everything has gone wrong. I lost my tablet pen. D: I've lost artwork.

I've been sick for about a month now. I have a sinus infection that won't go away. My ears feel all funky too. The Doctor says that all the congestion is somehow putting pressure on my inner ear or something. I donno I just know I have a constant headache, my asthma is worse then usual, I'm extremely tired all the time and my ears feel all clogged or something.

And WTF with DA posting this while I was still typing. o_O DA is really slow I though my computer freaked out and froze, but it was just DA deciding to post this before I was done.

Anyway, I will still do art for the first person to comment wanting it. See last journal for whats up.

I'm really tired. I'm doing free art on Gaia, but, since I'm working I only get from about 8pm after to draw. I don't get to bed till late then I have to get up at 5:30am to get ready for work. It doesn't help when my 13 pound cat decides to stand on my stomach at 1am purring and breathing kitty breath in my face. Bleh

So I should be doing homework I guess. I don't have to worry about Monday, Tuesday's is mostly done and Saturdays is done.

My Buck-Tick pictures are on a slight hold. A slight difference between friends on the color scheme and who to draw next. Also I'm drawing Jaejoong for May.

It was a request, she sent me three pics and talked about color schemes. o.O;; So I'm working on the request from May and I'm stressing over it. May is such a wonderful person I want to do a perfect job on it and my skill level isn't quite there yet. I can see improvement from other pics on this one. But the hands are kicking my butt man!! I am convinced hands are of the devil!

Well thats it. I shall finish the hands and never look at them again till I'm all done with the pic or I shall stress myself into a babbling mess.

I haven't posted anything in forever. But then the stuff I'm doing for school isn't all that interesting. Maybe I'll post some of my Gaia stuff that I haven't posted. Their little because they are ment for people signatures, but, its something I guess. Also they are just heads and not the best quality. But I can do a bunch of them in a day that way. Since I started drawing siggy pic over winter break I've drawn 70 pictures just for Gaian. o.O; That sure is a lot of pics.


I'm going to hate my schedule next sememster, I have two online classes. How do you take drawing classes online and not fail horribly? I know I can't. Well at least I didn't get life and gesture drawing online. Once its online I fail to see how its Life drawing. Of course if I took it online I wouldn't have to sit on those darn horses. Its like a family curse that we have no padding on the bum.

My little Gaian Sinopa has been very busy on Gaia. All of it in only one thread too. I've been drawing lots and lots of pictures after I get home from work.

I added one page of the digital marker scribbly pictures to my scraps.
It includes the picture I did of my Sinny that started all these drawings for me. ^^

After I write this journal entry I think I will submit the Christmas Card I made the people on the thread. I tried to stick most of the regulars in it.

I submitted 3 pages of heads which is what I'm working on now for the thread. I think I only have 4 or 5 more heads to draw and I'll be done with my list of heads. Its been a lot of fun though, I've been working in Painter which I've never colored with. Well Except to send silly things to Wolfies. *smacks forehead* I forgot to send something to Wolfies. Must do Mon!!!!

Ah well if Any of you want a little doodle of your Gaian you can find my Sinopa, and several other people who will doodle something out for you, on the Boobs and Lineart Thread in the GD on Gaia. Evening time (PST) is the best time usually. The Morning people don't do a whole lot of drawing.

School is trying to eat my soul.

Or at least the teachers are trying to eat up all my free time. Even time I didn't have free, they aren't very picky.

Writing "Mary had a little lamb" in heiroglyphics sounds fun, but the gigantic color chart doesn't. Also I still have to do 9 master copies and 15 gesture sketches of people around me doing...stuff. I also have to read about 40 pages and write some short essays for color theory. It doesn't sound like much but it takes up a lot of time.

I am slowly getting my homework for Monday done. 10 portraits, I have two done so far. Kootney came over to hang out and I subjected her to being my first subject. The next one is a self-portrait, but I'm headachy and tired now so I think I'll call it a night. Plus I need to think up stratagies to get my family to let me take their picture. They HATE having their pictures taken.

Also, I am teh suckage at taking photographs. They always come out really, really, REALLY blury. You can see my failed attempts at portraits in my scraps section for the curious. Oh a new victem, I mean one of my roommates came home. *picks up camera* Excuse me as I go ambush someone.

Welp. I got Mirandas gift framed. I got a glass floating frame and my Mom had me put pink lace around the picture. It looks pretty good, I just hope I don't break it on the way over there when I take it over. I ended up not going over there today so that gave me more time to bum around and put off framing it. ^^

Well I went to Orientation for school. They talked to us about all the departments and we got our artkits. If anyone could tell me what the 1 1/2 foot x 2 foot x 2 inch piece of wood with metal on the sides is for I'd be really happy. Also is it bad it got kinda dented in the trunk? ;

I've been sick and anti-social lately and well anti-everything but I'm feeling better. I got my half of the art trade with so now I just have to color that and the piece asked me to color when I had time.

About the only thing I've done is two little sketches, yeah go me. Their in my scraps if you want to see, just two little dragony things.

Also I uploaded the lick I sent to my packsister Wolfies. Everyone deserves a good slobbery lick now and then. ^^

I got Nicodemus colored and I chose purple. Now I just have to work on the background, which will take me forever because I'm really bad at backgrounds. Also I'm not sure how much coloring I'll be doing for a bit, do to personal stuff, so that sets it back a bit. Just your so excited about the picture I want to get it done like yesterday! I just color way to slow.

You are the best friend ever!!! I'll talk to Courtney about pictures of Wayne. I'm going to take her over a big lion plushy tonight. I don't know if she ever got the chance to ask him what his favorite animal was. The last she knew it was dinosaurs but he was really little at the time.

Well I'm kinda stuck on how to place the feathers on ... this thing I'm making. (Am being purposefully vauge, thats all you get Wolfies) Since its the next to last thing that needs to be done thats alright. My "Art Room" is cooling off so its not tourturous to be out there anymore. I just have to make sure I don't lock the cat up out there again. Oh and I'm working on that necklace still. My neck model has a conflicting schedule with me so its hard to do the last little fixes if I don't know what it looks like on someones neck.

I'm actually coloring my Seraphim Sketch, go me!! It's been difficult because I'm shading it so I can eventually get rid of the lines. I desided that would be best because there are a lot of lines in it and I can't seem to draw them straight. :/ What I have so far looks alright. ^^ I also desided to draw a gift art for and Its slow going because I have this habit of starting 3 things at once. But its good for my ADD ridden brain. If I get distrated from one project I can usually lead myself over to another so at least something gets done.

My Mom's fuming mad at me

But for some reason I'm insanely happy. I have no idea why. Maybe because I've done something nice to someone? Or it could be I'm doing something different with my art.

I'm making something for Wolfies besides the necklace I just finished. It was something that popped into my head and I just desided to do it. My "Art Room" is not air conditioned and the fan is broken so I don't spend as much time working on it as I would like. IT IS HOT OUT THERE!! But I have the base coat down and I dry brushed it with liquid silver leaf. Now for the cutting and pasting!!

My Mom I guess is tired of my anime drawings. She bought me a book on How to Draw the Human Figure. So I'm incorporating that in the anime drawing I'm working on!! XDD Although I still have trouble with drawing enourmous heads on my figures. Heehee. I haven't been feeling well so I've only been working on it for 10 minutes before I go to work in the morning. But, "Slow but sure wins the race!"

Alright now, thats just way too happy.

I don't usually like girly anime but Someday's Dreamers is kinda nice.

I got my first 2-D Design project back. I got a B, not the A's I'm used to getting. The teacher said that if I redo it with straighter lines on my bold one I can bet an A-. I then had this interesting mini conversation. It went something like:

Teacher: You have a good sence of design. Some of your Sketches for the shading project are really nice. They look like finished pieces, if you push it a bit more they will be really good. Are you a Graphic Design Major?

Me: No.

Teacher: Illistration?

Ne: Uh-uh. (Side Note: you can tell I talk a lot right?)

Teacher: 2-D Animation?

Me: Nope.

Teacher: Well, what is your major?

Me: Anthropology.

Teacher: ... ... well thats different.

Well going to school full time and working has left me busy. I have Journal entries, essays, 30-70 thumbnail sketches, books to read, geneology to research. Why oh why do the teachers this semester seem to like giving lots and lots of homework.

It really cuts into my drawing time since most of it is now spend drawing squares, triangles and circles for 2D-design. I'm I the only one who thinks its weird for a geology well now anthropology major to take a drawing class?

Well I should try harder to draw more.

Minerology is eating up a lot of my free time. I've had to schedule extra time in the lab in order to identify all the unknowns. There are still a few I need to work on but I'm closer to being done. I just need to identify the Igneous rocks and the thin sections.

My Mom has also is having me make the Christmas gifts for Aunt Joan and Aunt Willie. She bought 2 14'' trees and she wants me to make wire and glass bead ornaments and garland for them. That will take a while. Mom wants to help so I tried to teacher how to bend the wire into shapes and stuff, but its been difficult. Mom doesn't always listen to me. :/

Mom gave me her Light table she had from the print shop. Its really old, I was still in high school when Mom closed the print shop. The rubber around the cord is coming apart but the wire isn't frayed so with a little electrical tape it should be as good as new. The light table will make it easier for me to transfer my pictures I think. Just need to buy the tape for it and move the table to a workable area.

Somehow in all this I have to find time to design a dragon tattoo. Its a good thing its to be an asian-y looking one, I draw those best. Well thats about it. She couldn't deside what to do and I wasn't being very helpful seeing as how I didn't want to go so she desided on Shopping. Cynthia ( my roomate) and my Mom had clothes they needed to return so we ended up doing that. My joy runneth over.

I was able to convince them to go to Mitsuwa for lunch. I love Japanese food There is also a store in there so I got some pocky, Gummy Choco, and other sugery stuff. There is a new book store in there but I didn't see a discount Manga bin like the old one had

After that Mom got us lost trying to find Rogers Gardens. About an Hour later we finally found it and its huge. I saw a plant that I loved its called a golden lantern. The flowers remind me of paper lanterns so I got one for my Desk at work. If Mark tries to take this plant I think I'll bite him grrr. My first tootsie roll pop had an indian on the wrapper and since the managers where in a meeting Rose and I got into a descussion on wrappers. I seem to remember you were supposed to get something for finding an indian wrapper. Like a free tootsie pop. Rose thought you collected them and got a bag or something.

Well I couldn't remember so I spent the rest of the afternoon being yelled at to sit still and talking to Wolfie for the last bit. It, stunk. Amanda had been at a wedding and didn't make it to the field trip. She said the minerals smelled bad, then she got a wiff of the brine. Her discription was armpit water. Unfortunalty that classroom had lot of chemicals so we weren't allowed to leave the door open, so no ventalation Well we cleaned samples till Amada couldn't take it anymore and she propped the door open. It was funny to watch all the students vacate the hall. One girl got us snikering with her "oh eww, EWWW!!!" as she walked past the door. It wasn't too bad till I slashed brine down my leg. Ugh.

The trip to and from wasn't bad as the only girl in the van I got the front seat. But since it was a van full of mostly guys we listened to sports, both ways. Is it me or does the horse race announcer guys voice sound annoying?

Friday we got to the camp ground that night about 9ish, set up camp and went to sleep. Not much happened friday. The teacher, Brady, was trying to get me to design the geo. club tee-shirt but I was drawing a blank on what to draw. Maybe I'll figure something out. Saturday Brady was shaking our tents about 6ish so we could head out. Our first trip was the mud trip. Basicly they dredged up a bunch of mud and let us have a go at getting the minerals out. I just plopped down in the mud and dug a hole with my hands till I felt a crystal face. The stuff made an interesting slurp, pop as I pulled it out. Tanto desided to help me dig a hole with his pick ax so I got splashed with a lot of mud. The mud was smelly too cause there is sulfer in it.

the next trip Sat was they pumped out a bunch of water from the lake that had minerals in it. They were smaller Hankesite and halite crystals but they looked nice. Mike was teasing me cause I kept trying to find the smallest crystals I could and give them to him. I found one that was about 1 cm cubed. He just accused me of not wanting to carry the heavy stuff to the van.

The trip on Sunday we got to wade around in very, very, very salty water. It felt really good aginst all the scraps and cuts from Sat. (note said Sarcasticly) We had to wade out into a pool and feel for ledges that had Halite (same stuff as table salt) growing underneath. The ledges couldn't be too close to the surface or no Halite will grow. If we find crystals we have to chip off the ledge to get the crystals. They are very fradgile till the dry too so we have to be careful. I was covered in tiny salt crystals from hand to elbow and foot to mid-thigh. I found some nice pink halite (colored from the impurities in the water). I was sooooo ready to go home though.

Carrying the stuff to the Van wasn't too fun either. Two seperate times I was given a huge sample to take to the van. I would turn around and realize, dang we're a looonnnggg way from the van. The second time I was a little sneaky. I took Tantos sample for him which was about a half a foot across and 2 feet wide. He got to take the ledge I chisled out which was about 3 feet across 1 foot wide. Bwahahaha!! But still...

I wanted a hot shower in non-brakish water. I wanted my own bed, not hard ground. Plus my hands are all cut up and raw. And the halite got into my shoes on rubbed my ankles and toes raw till some of them bled. And it was stinky. It was kinda fun to fling mud around and wade in the water. But the novalty only lasted for about half of each 2-4 hour trip. I wanted to be able to sit down and I was thirsty. Being in the middle of the desert will do that. Why did I want to be a geologist again?

Well I'm home now. I didn't get any drawing done. Being covered in mud and salt isn't condusive to making a nice, clean picture. Right now the house smells soooooo good. Gramy's shouting out cooking tips from the livingroom. Like I've never cooked brownies before, sheesh.

Its been a dreary day today. Of cource being 15 minutes from the ocean probably helped with the fogginess. Too bad is wasn't raining. I love the rain. Ever since I was little I used to go walking in the rain without an umbrella or the hood up on my jacket. Of corse I would end up soaking wet, but, I loved it. I end up with Shirly Temple curls sometimes, or frizz can never figure out why its different sometimes.

I can't wait for this weekend when I get to go mineral collecting. That will be a blast. I just have to find my sacrificial clothing cause the briney solution in the mud and water are going to ruin them. I wonder if I'll be able to find a piece of Trona, which the city is named for.

Going to have lots of work in Minerology. The Alum crystal I'm growing didn't work out. Instead of one nice crystal I have a crystal snowman. Three crystal one on top of the other, how I don't know. I'm going to start over and add some more of the celeum alum so it turns purple this time. I think maybe I'll then I'll dunk it in a pure alum solution so its frosted, that would look cool.

I added the old stuff I had on my hard drive to my gallery today. And a doodle I did in class. I got soooo embarrased today. The teacher spent 1 hr of the 4 hr class talking about the field trip on Fri-Sun. I was doodling away, the only way I can listen is if I'm doing something else. Weird, I know. I did learn a new listen, doodlers should never sit front and center, he actually rapped on my desk to get my attention! I was listening, I even took notes when I needed too.

I did get asked what I was doing as a geology major if I like to draw. I like rocks too.

Speaking of rocks this weekend should be awesome. We get to play around in briney mud, and wade around in salty water looking for minerals. We're going to be weilding pick axes, crowbars, hammers and weapons of mass destruction. Yea!!! Fun, I haven't been able to play in the mud since...well my parents never wanted me to play in the mud.

Well I was looking at the stuff I've drawn seeing if there was any old stuff I might want to post. It amazes me how different my pictures are even if they were drawn a few days apart from each other.

I like to think there is an idea fairy and a talent fairy. The idea fairy visits me fairly often and with a wave of her wand gives me ideas. The talent fairy...is busy visiting everyone else here at deviantart and maybe bashes me in the head with her wand every two years or so.

I think I'll post up a couple of my more resent fanworks. They were done around the same time and wow are they different. I really need to draw more. The last few days I've been drawing more then usually so that good. Sometimes I wish I lived on my own, but I don't make enough money to. Also the rents can't play a video without calling me to help, I'm scared what would happen if they were left to their own devices.

I desided to draw something. A little voice said hey you like Saiyuki, draw Sanzo. I thought ok. So I started it, and grrr he has too much hair, but I wouldn't like him bald so I kept drawing. Being tired and cranky I gave up though. Besides now that then rents flushed me out of my room they want to go eat someplace. It made me think about the time I was with a friend of mine and we took a piece of Obsidian and broke it into as many pieces as we could. Great fun. I then though it would be cool to glue broken pieces like that to a board or something with a whole bunch more whatever. Then I thought that could be dangerous, I've cut myself on Obsidian, its volcanic glass so it gets sharp. Would they have to sign waivers to veiw my work in case if fell on then. I mean cavemen made spearheads out of the stuff.

That led to me thinking it would be cool to make a spearhead like the cavemen did. I like banging rocks together and breaking them. I just need a striking rock...I'm sure I can get some deer antler for the finer details and animal skin for a lap apron at the next pow-wow...but they used a mammoth vertabre to stablize their work. Where would I get a verabre that size?

For some reason that led to me thinking about Pinky and the Brain. Then I realized I should at least look like I'm paying attention to Phil. You know staring at him and nodding every once in a while. I realized he was telling me I'm good in Liberal Art and If I ever thought of Anthropology. I think, or, something like that. (scratches head) I thought that if I started drawing and posting up stuff it would encourage her to do the same. Or at least feel that its ok to pick up a pencil and draw even if its not perfect.
