If you lose Ol' Reliable and use another pencil (maybe even a pencil of a different type, like a 2H or an F!), it might just help you get out of a rut.
Sometimes you do this subconsciously; if you often use pencils of different types, try a pen! A simple biro would be a complete change.

Anybody watch the Oscars?
I found them really predictable, except for Sean Penn as Best Actor.

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE
** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. {Note me if you really wanna do this}
** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!

STEP TWO
Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

I want to see every movie from now on in IMAX

Dark Knight was a visual feast, the flyover shots were beautiful. The word delicious comes to mind for some reason (lol crispy baconface). It was super loud just like last time...but I suppose IMAX would be louder. I like the way there is almost always music, during the actiony parts and such. It adds to it.
Now I can't realllly remember, but I'm pretty sure Twofie got burnt in his grey suit. Anyone care to tell me if I'm totally wrong? 'Cos I'd like to update my Twofie pic to make it more movie-accurate.

OMG

That's right! College! I'm taking Fine Art, Graphic Design, Philosophy and Film Studies.
My results aren't great; mainly Bs, but I'm chuffed that I got in to the college I wanted to go to. It has the most amazing art block; two floors!!!!!!
As a reward for getting into college, my Dad is taking me to see Dark Knight AGAIN but in IMAX!
Fuck yeah!!!!!!

I'm so dissapointed.
The Clone Wars was terrible! Why couldn't they have made a movie out of Gennedy Tartakovsky's one?
Ahsoka is a Mary-Sue, no question. All of the other characters were pretty much out of character as well, the voice acting was emotionless. AND WHAT THE HELL HUTT BABIES?!!?! EWWWWWWWWWWW. That thing wasn't cute!
The animation was okay, I guess. I don't really like the blocky people. They messed up Ani's nose for a start. Plus nobodies hair moved. However the space battles and lightsaber duels were smooth.

If I'm gonna make recommendations for newish animations (lol rhymey) I would recommend Kung Fu Panda, Wall-E or The Princes' Quest.

I know what'll cheer me up...

I'm back. Yayayay!
I finally saw Batman

it was amazing! I drew some fanart so I'll be putting that up tomorrow. I also bought some pastels and have been trying out various techniques and stuff with them

When I saw Dark Knight, there was a trailer for the day the Earth stood still! I'd seen it before but I got super excited

I want and NEEEEED to improve. Yeah, I know I keep saying so but I want to and it's just not happening. No matter how much I doodle or draw or scribble or anything lol. Just seen Wall-E (finally), it was an amazing movie! I laughed, I cried...it was terrific. All the robots were adorable, I liked how they all had their own personalities

and the people were funny

So yeah, another journal, another whole bunch of questions. Well, just one.
When you look at a reference for a character, how much info do you find important? Basic stuff like colours, or more in depth stuff to do with the character such as likes and dislikes, outfits, 'theme songs', etc.? I know I keep saying refs will be up soon, but I want to get them perfect. D: sorry.

Anyway, who's seen the trailer for The Day the Earth stood still? The new one. I think it looks really good

Haven't seen Dark Knight or Wall-E yet though

So here's my opinion on it; pretty good!
Message center seems a bit busy, I'd prefer messages and deviations having their own sections, but it's a lot easier to use. I also like the way you can customise...everything XD
did anyone watch the video on the launch info section? I lolled. POWERFULLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Oh and the homepage, seems...big? Lots of viewable deviations, I'm not ecstatic about that, but you know, I'll get used to it as well as everyone else.
