Long story short - I'm moving. Until I get to my new place and am somewhat stable again, I won't be very active. My destination is going to be Bremen, IN. I'm moving in with someone I know there, and I'll likely have a job opportunity. Plenty of new places to put my name out to.

Saturday

The ride that was supposed to take me and Raine to SacAnime overslept, so we ended up walking. The directions Google Maps gave us was highly inaccurate, thus having us have to walk all the way around the Cal Expo center, over the freeway…it was a 5 mile walk. And my backpack was heavy because it had my tail and other things in it. But…we made it there. Then, there was the long line for registration. After getting in line, we saw a girl with this sign that said, “You just lost the game.” Fffffuuuuu-…. Oh, we also saw someone cosplaying Ruki Nonaka from Digimon Tamers, and there was someone with a Gomamon plush. …and pedobear wanted hugs.

Anyway, after registration, we checked out the dealer’s room and artist’s alley. Then, we had lunch. The place had a good deal, too. All you can eat sandwiches, soup, pizza, and salad, dessert, and drinks for $10. We then went to the ATM to take out money for the dealer’s room, to find out that it was out of order. So we tried going to CostCo to use theirs. It was out of service, too. And, the nearest place that had an ATM after that — would have been too far to walk.

Though, fortunately, some of the dealers took credit cards. So, I bought a Shaymin (Sky Forme) plush and a figurine (which I found out I have to assemble myself), and eventually took a break to sit down. During this break, I saw a girl cosplaying as Ness. Also I found that my regular camera’s batteries died (thanks for telling me beforehand, camera), and my phone was running low. In fact, I was /barely/ able to get a picture of said girl, and it didn’t come out too well. So hopefully, I’ll see her again tomorrow for a retake — with my camera that should have fully charged batteries by then.

Other than that, I just traded DeviantArt info, and left some grafitti in someone’s sketchbook (hey, the sign requested it!). I gave ‘em my e-mail, dA name, and a link to ParaBound.

Sunday

Sunday morning, I got my camera working properly, which was good because I wasn’t about to rely on my phone with its low battery life. Oh, I brought my Eee with me to the con to use as supplemental power. Upon arriving at the Radisson, Raine went to Subway to get a sandwich, and I decided to wait on getting food. I headed to the dealer’s room, and found @jhicks, who was running the Little Vampires booth. I bought a pin from him that said “low on whimsy”.

After that, I went back to the hallway to meet up with Raine and another Digimon fan. We talked a bit about Digimon and a MUCK we’re working on. We also saw someone cosplaying as Beetlejuice. Someone would say “Beetlejuice” three times, and he would “attack” them. He was quite amusing. I also encountered a guy wearing an EarthBound t-shirt. It’s nice meeting a fellow MOTHER fan.

I then headed to the artist’s alley to look at more artwork and leave more “graffiti” in notebooks. I also tried out an engine demo of a game called Helicopter Beast Freak. Went back into the dealer’s room, and actually got someone to draw a picture of one of my characters on a Pokémon MUCK. To kill time while she was doing my commission, I tried out another game on display in the artist’s alley whose name escapes me — it was using the MUGEN system and had all sorts of superheroes in it. I also bought a Tails plush from the dealer’s room. I sat down in the lobby to relax, and check on the Internet with my Eee while charging my phone. I then headed to Extreme Pizza for dinner. After getting the picture of Mizu, I just stayed and chatted with *MiakaLin until it was time to leave.

My overall opinion of the con? It was fun. It gave me a chance to get out of the house. My biggest complaint would be the overcrowding in the hallway, where they had the artist’s alley. They probably could have put that in a more open area. Other than that, I had fun. I’m looking forward to the next con I go to.

in the meantime, i am working on revising the things i have written already - namely, the chapters of vultopia you've seen posted on here. the reason i am doing this is to improve them and to fix some holes that...need fixing. ...and after that, i will write some new chapters.

Yeah, yeah. I got a lot to do right now. Other than work, paying bills, having to renew my domain by August 27th, etc. - I have to work on kRPG, Vultopia, and Kitsune Paradise itself. I'm flat broke, and I supposedly won't get paid until AFTER my domain expires, and hopefully, a friend of mine would be able to spare 10 bucks so I could go and renew my domain, so it won't die. I value Kitsune Paradise almost as much as I value my own mates. Without them, I have nothing. I've kept a website going for over three years, and I will not let it go. The fact that now, it has gotten more popular and active, I need to keep it alive, and get more shit up on there.

Anyways, yeah. I got a lot to work on. If you want, here's a nice abridged list of things I need to get done, in no particular order.

kRPG v1.47 - Couple bugfixes, and some features I forgot to put in v1.46
Vultopia website - Better layout, etc.
Vultopia 3-2 - Part 3, Chapter 2. Hopefully, I will not procrastinate this time.
kRPG v2 - All new stuff.
KParadise - Main page layout, forum skin tweaks, etc.
kRPG website - Better layout and stuff

Hopefully, within this whole updating stuff, Kitsune Paradise won't go down due to domain expiry. If it comes down to it, I will go over my credit limit to keep Kitsune Paradise alive. Well, I am almost finished working on the new layout for Kitsune Paradise. I just need to finish a couple elements of it, then the main page is all set. The next step is the new skin for the forums. And it shouldn't be too difficult.

Another thing I should focus on is the dkRadio website. I still have to finish working on that, as well as the website for These Furious Days. I need to finish the script which they'd be using to put the content on the page. But there is still more I have to do. >.<

Well...Yesterday at 2am, I arrived home from Otakon....Left Thursday night, made it to Baltimore, had a hell of a time over the weekend, got a bunch of awesome things. Plush foxes, ears, origami fox, picture of an evil kyubi, caricature, and a fox's tail (may the spirit of the fox not be forgotten). I met a lot of awesome people - mostly the ops from WolfPackProductions. If you're reading this, it was a pleasure to meet you guys in person. w00t! ^_^

Listening to: Mudvayne - A World So Cold

Hmm..Well, it's been some time since my last journal entry. Been quite a busy two months. On June 7, I applied for a job at Rocky Hill Sunoco, and got hired on the spot. I graduated from high school on June 9. Then I began working on my own - meaning not in training - on June 13. Never had much time to do much artwork. Though - my summer hasn't been all working. On July 2, I went white-water rafting with people from my (former) school. Then on the weekend of July 16, I went to Connecticon after work. Then last week, I decided to start drawing in my spare time. Unfortunately, I cannot submit any of it here, as it's all on lined paper and it's all sketchy. Though the good part of it is that I seem to be improving. Perhaps I will put the seven sketches I've made so far into my Scraps.

On other news, I placed an order for a dA subscription...so now, I am a subscriber for 12 months. Woohoo! -- Yeah, I figured I had enough money, so I decided to just get a subscription. Unfortunately, I do NOT have enough to get subscriptions for any of my friends, because I am also saving up for Otakon - and I will be using most of my money in the dealer's room, hoping to get kitsune-related items. Maybe a poster or something? I hope so.

On Tuesday, I aim to go to the DMV and register for my driving test, so I could get my license. THEN I can get my car. THEN I won't have to wear out my legs biking six miles to work. - laughs -

But the six miles are worth the money. I get paid $215 a week. In a month, I make $860. As long as I don't go on stupid spending sprees, I'll have enough money to get things I aim to get. ^^

I also went back to the CD drive I had in there before - front painted black, but not the tray. (Reason: The tray on the one with the red light went off track. I fixed that, but I am going to put it in the server.) The LED on it is amber, goes well with the "fire" scheme I have planned for the case. The power LED is red, the HDD LED is orange. I eventually am changing the turbo LED to yellow, which is what it used to be - but I am getting one of a higher itensity.

But, along with my drawing stuff, I have my writings. I'm debating on whether or not to submit my story Vultopia to DA, as I have an official website for it. Perhaps I could post it here, and have a link to the site, where you could read up on the characters and stuff. Dunno. If enough people tell me to submit some of my writings, then I definately will. I get some pretty good comments about my writings. Mostly from my creative writing teacher and some other people who have read what I wrote. Today, my mother's boyfriend was going to come over, and order some pizza. That never happened. I waited for several hours...about five, I think, until I finally said, screw it, I'm getting some ravioli. Now, when I have ravioli, I usually use the canned sauce. There wasn't any left. All that was in the cupboard were 5 jars of tomato sauce, and 2 cans of tomato paste. So, I asked my mother if I could use some of the tomato sauce...I wasn't even going to use the entire jar. Not even half of it. She said no. I told her that it was the only sauce we had, and she got all pissy - said some things I don't even remember. So, I made the ravioli. I didn't even use that much. Do you think it's PATHETIC that my mother got pissed over my wanting to use that much sauce, when she had 5 jars in the cupboard? I think it would be pathetic, even if that was the ONLY jar in there. This really is sad.

Before you all start telling me to buy my own food, I already tried asking my mother about that today. She said she already did her shopping today. I'm sorry, but a bag of chips is NOT enough for me this week. What am I supposed to have for lunch? Where's the bread for the sandwiches? Don't tell me I used the last of it - there wasn't even enough to make a sandwich, just one good slice. There was no cheese to put on a meat and cheese sandwich. No peanut butter to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. So what the fuck am I supposed to have?

If I do get a job or an apartment and/or accepted to college, how will I transport myself? I never finished my driving lessons, because I can't get the confidence to take the test. The written test is simple enough. It's driving. I never had ANY opportunity to practice whatsoever. My mother never let me practice. Sure, there are jackasses on the road and stuff, but I will have to deal with that when I really drive. My sister got to practice. Why can't I? So, that's why I am afraid to take the test. I know I'll fail. I just know it. Even if I do pass, how will I get a car? But that wouldn't matter. I will fail the test, because I never got to practice. That's the main thing. I needed practice, and I never got to practice.

So basically, I'm screwed. A month after I graduate, I am going to be kicked out, no matter what. I am going to be living on the streets. When it comes about time to leave for school, I get dressed and pack my things up, then I leave. When I'm not late for school, I just put my things in my desk and wait until it is time for chapel. My class goes upstairs and listens to the pastor preach about the word of God. We then go back downstairs.

I don't normally have anything to do during the first few periods. So I just sit in my desk and do nothing. Sometimes I would draw...wish I could submit my drawings done at school here, but they're on lined paper...or if I brought my laptop, I'd just play Solitaire. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I leave at lunch to go to college. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I leave during break, and come back after lunch.

College is the only thing that makes my day fun. It's more lively and....it's just plain better than high school. I thought the high school partnership dealie would suck, but it doesn't. It's one of the best things that ever happened in school. In English class, we write papers, which I enjoy doing. In math, we learn...Algebra. I'm not really a big fan of Algebra or anything related to it, but the class itself is cooler than the one in my regular school.

After school, I go home, put my things down on the floor, change back to my regular clothes if I haven't done so already. Then I go on my computer and chat, check webpages, etc. Then it's supper time, I watch the Simpsons and Malcolm in the Middle, then I do the dishes, then I go back up to my computer and continue chatting and everything. At 11:00pm, it's time for bed, but I stay up past 11, and possibly until 1am or 2am.
