So that just kinda ruined my day.

In other news, I got my schedule for next year. I'm kinda excited about it, even though they gave me 1 elective first semester and 3 second semester >.> That's what happened last year. Eh, either way, here's how it goes:

Yeah

Going all three days is so intense, but it's worth it. I bought two cell phone charms (one from *celesse and a Yoko one), a Schoolteacher Yoko figurine (no I'm not obsessed ), Kanon Wakeshima's album (which I cannot stop listening to <3), two issues of Cure magazine (the same issues that were stolen from me at Katsucon), Godchild vol 7, and a figure of Ciel Phantomhive in his pretty dress (which was actually a birthday present from Tom :3). We went to Travis Willingham's Q&A, which was hilarious. That man is my hero XD We also went to Kanon Wakeshima's concert. She is sooooo unbelievably cute X3333 I wasn't able to get her autograph, but that's okay. Anime Parliament was plenty entertaining- Sephiroth was charged with copyright infringement against Kefka. Masquerade was good too- there were hardly any skits that were, well...bad XD

I got my costume finished in time, and I might even upload a picture of it. I'm so proud of how it turned out Nobody recognized me or took my picture (except Charlotte), but I really didn't expect anyone to. It was just fun to wear after spending so much time on it (except the boots...). Also lolIworeaskirt. On Sunday. Nobody expected it.

Andandand we found out that Kaya is coming to AnimeUSA! Charlotte and I SCREAMED when we found that out. I can't wait X3

Oh, and we saw Pedobear get groped. On the escalator. RESPECT. That person wins many internets.

Let's see, past few days I've been working on my cosplay for Otakon. It's only a mock-up right now, but it's coming along quite nicely I'm really excited! And hopefully I can get Tom to work on his costume as well >.>

I had a nice birthday yesterday :3 Tom came over and we watched movies and got gelato and stuff. My parents got me Rocky Horror Picture Show XD I officially love that movie. They also gave me a neat book about the Cherry Blossom Festival. And my aunt got me a momiji doll! She's adorable- pink hair and a blue kimono.

As for the lack of art...I've been in this major artistic depression type thing in which I don't like anything I draw anymore and therefore don't feel motivated in the least. But now I think I'm starting to get out of it So hopefully I will be more active on DA as well. I just scanned three pictures which should be up soon. Maybe. Hmm, I could upload pics of my Warhammer models too. And cosplay pics.

AAAAHHHHMYGAAAAWWWDIGOTANEWCOMPUTER. It's totally nifty-cool-awesome-spiffy-keen. It's got like...750GB. And a 9600 graphics card...or something. It DOES run Vista and I can't really say that I love it. Meh. The monitor is uber-huge and shiiiny. Maybe I'll take a picture of it. It even came with Photoshop Elements 6. Which is just like PS Elements 3. That was kinda disappointing. But The Sims 2 looks really pretty and shiny. Yay.

In other news...I have a groundhog living in my yard. Yep. Pretty exciting.

Meep. Better start packing my stuff for tomorrow.

Um...let's what's going on in my life right now. I got some nice birthday presents. There's the new Gothic & Lolita Bible, which has all sorts of pretty things and people in it. Hm, maybe I'll actually buy a dress at Otakon this year. That would be a first. RIGHT, I also got a new incense burner. It's a box with a dragon on it and the smoke comes out of its mouth. IT'S REALLY SPIFFY. I got Wii Rock Band too, but I don't know if that's a present because I paid for part of it. Well, it's a lot of fun. I really like the drums. They take a bit of coordination, but aren't TOO difficult. Guitar is still my best, though. And...nobody has tried singing yet.

Hmm...whatelse. I got my hair cut. It's Uruha hair! But without the blond in it. A bit shorter than I had wanted, but that's okay. Oh, and I'm getting a not-job. It's volunteer work at the local art center. That should be fun. Hopefully I'll get to help load the kilns there and glaze things.

That's pretty much it. I made a totally awesome duct tape wallet for myself today. As you can see, I need something to do with my life (Once I get some fabric, I can work on my cosplay!).

Made me kinda uncomfortable. After that, we went to Rockefeller Plaza. Everyone in my group wanted to go to the Nintendo World Store. Problem was...nobody knew where it was located. After a half hour of walking we found it. And it was a block away from where the bus let off. Ha. But once we went in...

...it was the greatest thing ever.

We immediately ran upstairs because the first floor was entirely Pokemon. It was really cool because they had a miniature museum-type thing. Almost. There were glass cases with old Nintendo systems and things signed by Miamoto. They even had a Gameboy that had been bombed in the Gulf War...and it still worked. Anywho, I bought another (you guessed it) black t-shirt, with Link on it. They even had the new Okami (I didn't even know it was out). I considered buying it, but it was $40, and I wanted to eat dinner that night .

After that we walked around a bit. Waited in line for smoothies for 15 minutes. Walked some more. Saw Elmo. You know, stuff you usually do in New York.

And theeeeen, we got back on the bus and drove through Times Square. I SAW A FAMOUS PERSON. It was...the Naked Cowboy. He was standing right outside the bus while we were waiting at a light. I took a picture.

After that, we got to Little Italy. Everyone was pretty much dead, so we got food. REALLY GOOD ITALIAN FOOD. We even got to eat outside. And then, we walked around Chinatown a little bit. I bought another lucky cat (it's blue), so that makes 15 cats total. By then, it was around 6:00, so we had to go home (the club took an uber-big charter bus). I think most everone slept (or at least tried) on the way home.

Thus ends my epic New York odeyssey.

Wow...what was I going to talk about...?

I went to the Cherry Blossom Fetival last weekend with some friends. I didn't cosplay or anything, and that's a good thing because it got to be soooo hot. Than again, it was in DC, I should expect no less. I even got sunburn (Noooo! My skin actually has color!). I bought a new cat incense burner and a kimono for $20. It's blue, has some stains, and smells like an old house, but it was a good deal. Now I just need to sew an obi (because I'm too cheap to buy one ).

Oooh, yeah. I've managed to start an assassins' guild at school. Assassin is basically a really complex game of tag...that involves spoons, Sharpies, and rubber bands. I'm much too lazy to explain the rest, so look it up on Wikipedia if you so desire. We just started a new game on Friday AND I WAS KILLED THE SAME DAY! Haha, oh well. I managed to kill Amy and Ian before that happened.

Sorry if I haven't been commenting lately. I've been busy, so I kind of put off commenting on things...then I forget.

I've got a few things to upload...soon. I just finished another Malice Mizer background, Gardenia this time. I also have a Lolita-type picture that I'm almost done with. And I'm drawing Marth. Maaarrrrttth.

Second, I want you all to know that Brawl is one of the most amazing games ever. I've been playing every day for the past week and a half or so. Link got angrier, Zelda got stronger, Snake needs to put some pants on, and Marth and Roy had kids, who are Ike and Pit. Oh, and Sonic sucks.

Third, I have become an Ouran Host Club fangirl. I don't know why I haven't watched it until now. The Hitachiin Twins are so cute Tee hee. That whole anme/manga is like a great big fanservice with a plot. Therefore it it an absolute good.

As for teh arts, I'm finishing up a lolita-type picture which should be uploaded soon, and I just started a picture of Marth . I might even make another vector background, but I don't know who to put in it.

And I can't help but feel like I'm forgetting something...

I went to Katsucon on Saturday. It was epic. I went with ~pinjanirate, ~Sarrazon, ~Ishindri, among others. I cosplayed as Kenshin again and Jordan (~pinjanirate) went as Seta Soujirou. We'd get into random swordfighting poses when people wanted to take pictures XD. I bought a Reno action figure (squee!), a collar with a bell the size of a golfball, and...the Gothic & Lolita Bible! It's amazing. It even comes with sewing patterns (I want to make the bunny-ear cape, but it's the most difficult one >< ). Oh, and it has drool-worthy pictures of Mana, which is to be expected. Speaking of which, I actually didn't buy anything from the Visual-Kei booth this time. They didn't have any CDs I wanted. Oh well. But they did have a rack of h.NAOTO brand clothing ;_; it was sooo expensive and nice.

I also got to play Guitar Hero in the videogames room. I lost to two guys I don't know, but they said I was really good Then I beat Tom (~Sarrazon) twice which made me feel better . We also saw cosplay chess and the masquerade, which were pretty cool. At the end of the day I was taking pictures of the other cosplayers in the lobby. I got pulled into a photoshoot where everyone does the silly Might Guy pose XD. I'll have to find a picture of that...

I don't remember if I was going to say anything else. Well, I'm off to draw a picture of Gackt and Miyavi catfighting. Beacuse that's funny.

I got some cool stuff for Christmas. Lots of manga. Guitar Hero 3 (which is epic. I can play on hard mode now). Incense (that's goooood stuff). Wooden sword. 2 Sonata Arctica albums. Tripp pants with chains. Fragmented sentences.

OH OH OH, I saw Sweeney Todd! I loooovvveeed it. It was really gory- people were getting their throats slit, blood was spraying everywhere, and there was singing. Yeah. AND JOHNNY DEPP WAS...okay, I'll stop fangirling.

But I do believe that's it. I'm working on a pixel ID which should be finished soon. I'll be posting more stuff from my computer graphics class.

BUT THERES MORE. I got to play Guitar Hero 3 at my other cousin's house. That was the HIGHLIGHT of my weekend. I can 5-star the easy songs now. I battled my brother and cousin and the were owned. They were owned epic-ly. I think we played...Paint it Black, Sunshine of Your Love, Rock and Roll All Nite, One, and some others I can't remember.

Well, I'm off to find safety pins to stick on my ears. The cat ears on my hat, that is.

OHWAIT. I forgot to talk about AnimeUSA. I went with ~pinjanirate and ~Sarrazon. We went on Saturday and it OWNED. I did my Kenshin cosplay again. We got to see a little bit of Cosplay Chess, then we went to Anime Parliament. It was decided there that Pokemon trainers should be crammed into airtight balls if they happen to get hurt. After that, we wandered about the Dealers' Room. I bought another Malice Mizer single, a GazettE poster, and a fox mask. Oh, and my bottle of Strawberry Ramune exploded all over my arm when I was showing ~Sarrazon how to open the bottle. Ha ha. I was almost harassed by the guy at the Yaoi stand. He was like, "Heeeeey, Kenshin. We've got some hot Kenshin-y goodness!" I didn't make eye contact and kept walking...yeah. Other than that...we saw the Masquerade which was pretty good. ANDANDAND I got to touch a dress from Mana's line of clothing (Moi Meme Moitie). They had them there at the J-rock booth...for like $1000. Better start saving.

We looked pretty amazing together. However, we basically had a 4 word limit, so there was a lot of poiting to things and bowing. Most people dressed up, but I think there were only two anime characters, L and Lt Col Hughes. There was a SSB:M tournament. I only made it to the second round, but that's okay. I lost to Liv, who came in second place overall. There were a lot of people competing. Oh and then there was the Dora the Explorer pinata. It was too hard to find a place to hang it, so we just put it on the floor and passed around metal bat, letting everyone get a good whack at it. However, there's one problem with this method. All the candy inside gets smashed. So it was like walking on broken glass when we were done. But it was totally worth it. Aaaaand then people played DDR, pool, and karaoke, which was very...interesting. Once I get a picture from the party, I'll post it.

Then there was Halloween night which was fun too. I went with some more anime club people who live in Spring Ridge. ~kiriutar and I went to all the houses late, so we got the rest of their candy.

Sooo, I went to the Renaissance Fair with ~kiriutar and ~pinjanirate. It was fun, I guess. The food was really good (I got to eat fish on a croissant!) and it was cheap too. But all of the merchandise was frickin expensive. It was $100 for a cloak, and those were the cheaper ones. But I did get to do knife-throwing, and it was hard.

Other than thaaaaat, Halloween is gonna be awesome. The anime club is having a Halloween party. ~pinjanirate and I are both going as Mana. She gets to be "female" Mana, while I'll be Extremely-effeminate-male Mana. Yes .

Andandand, Guitar Hero 3 comes out this month. I'm so excited.

However, I'm NOT HAPPY about Nintendo putting Sonic in the new Smash Bros game. But I've already ranted to people at school about it. Bleh.

I've been pretty stressed lately. I'm supposed to be looking for an article for my current event report right now...

School is fine. Computer graphics is kinda boring at the moment. Latin is so awesome it's 2nd only to last year's ceramics class. I hate modern world history with a passion. English is sorta fun.

I've gotten into a weird gothic-lolita obsession lately. I've even started wearing my hair in pigtails. But everyone says it's cute, so whatever.

Jordan and I are going as J-rockers for Halloween. I don't know if I'll go as anyone specific. Apparently, I look like Hizumi from D'espairs Ray. Go figure.

I'm just being boring right now. Maybe I'll edit this later and make it a bit more interesting.

I got my yearbook the other day. It's REALLY thick. On each page there's a theme, like pictures of students with their pets or the Latin Club induction ceremony. Meh. My picture is on the page where people show off their body piercings and tatoos. WHY MUST THE PAGES BE ALPHABETIZED? Ughhhh...

And then there's my Uber Shirt. It's my old gym shirt (now used for ceramics) and I forced kindly asked people at school to draw on it. Once I get some people at fencing to doodle on it, I'll take pictures. It. Is. Amazing.

Yup, smashing old dry clay to "recycle" it. I don't get it, but we got to smash things and that's ALL THAT MATTERS.

Ugghhhh. Tired now. I haven't gotten to sleep in for two weeks now. I had to go to this stupid Confirmation retreat last weekend. It sucked. I was wet. The building smelled bad. No iPod. I felt sick. On the plus side, the food was free, therefore it tasted good.

Art-wise, I JUST UPDATED A FEW DAYS AGO, WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT FROM ME? No, actually I'm working on two pictures in photoshop right now. Don't know when I'll upload them. But that's nothing new.

Sooo....school has been going ok. Gym class sucks. I'm going to be SO happy once it's over. Today we did the pacer run. Basically it's run until you puke. Wheee. I like going to lunch now because I have cool people to sit with . Ceramics class OWNS. It's sooooo fun. Right now we're making Greek pots, which are pretty boring. BUTGUESSWHAT.

I went to Katsucon a last weekend. It's a convention in DC. It was my first con, so I didn't know what to expect. I had a lot of fun. I took tons of pictures, bought a Zelda shirt, some pocky, and an ANBU Kakashi plushie

Aaaand there's fencing. I love the people there because we're all so similar. Like, I mentioned being attacked by zombies and they're like, "Hey! You've read the Zombie Survival Guide? Me too!" Yeeeaaah. We need to find a place that sells machetes and guns and whatnot. You never know when an attack might happen.

Ok last thing. Art stuff. I've been working really hard on anime-realism type picture. I really don't know when I'll finish it. But after that, I'm going to be the first person to put RenoxSai fanart on DA. Yeeeesss

Yes, oro. Some of the friends call me the "female embodyment of Kenshin" so I say "oro" all the time now. It's fun (If you didn't know, Kenshin says "Oro" all the time). School is still kinda weird. I absolutely LOVE ceramics. There are so many cool people there. We just finished making coasters and now we're making pinchpots. We get to decorate them tomorrow. I might write something like "Nitro Glycerin" or something weird on the side. I really don't like gym class, though. It's not...fun. There are a lot of nice people, but I still don't look foreward to it. We play basketball all the time. I'm not good at it. I fence and play go. Soooo...I'm not a team person.


Ummm...I've had, like....no artistic inspiration lately. Amy keeps telling me to draw more pictures of Reno and Sai *giggle* but I'm not good at drawing...mushy stuff. I am redrawing a scan from December in photoshop. Don't know when I'll finish that.

So I sat alone and didn't really eat anything. I doodled and looked everywhere for someone that I could stand sitting with. I saw Andy (~kiriutar 's boyfriend) but that would be weird. I don't know him all that well. I also saw Kaelan, who's in my ceramics class and was in my ICP class. He's really nice, but I don't know him very well either. *sigh* After that I have ceramics. That's going to be a lot of fun. We started making coasters today. Mine have fish on them. The people in that class seem pretty cool. And then I have English. Luckily, I know, like, half the people there. Our teacher kept talking about how not-easy the class is going to be. I also saw something that I didn't think I'd see again.

These looked like fun, so I'ma do one. I'll be doing Snofyre and Daaku...with some other characters thrown in. Oh, most of them don't have a "history" so I'll kinda be making it up along the way XD

1) What's your character's name?

Snofyre, Daaku

2) How old is he/she?

They're both aroung 13-14. Considering that they're dragons, they're, like, babies...kinda (age wise, that is)

3) Is your OC a boy or girl?

Snofyre is a girl, Daaku is a boy

4) What's his/her race?

They're both dragons. Snofyre is some kind of freakish mix of Frost Dragon, Japanese Lung, and Knucker. Daaku is...something around that XD

Appearance:

1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get?

Dude, they'd probably have a TV station. You don't see dragons very often. If my other characters were real, they would prbably be stared at too, but not nearly as much.

2) Is your character considered normal in his/her own world?

Well, yeah, I guess. Their "world" is my mind XD

3) What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)?

uhhh, I'm not sure ><

I...guess...so. My friend once called Daaku "terrifyingly handsome" XDDDD (please don't ask)

Snofyre kinda has a temper if people are annoying her (they funny thing is, she likes to annoy other people XD)

Nah, not really

Snofyre is follower, but sometimes she's independent. Daaku is VERY independent but would never be a leader

4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality?

Snofyre is really random and kinda annoying. At times, she can be completely shut-up from everyone else. She can also be extremely lazy XD Sometimes she doesn't think before she says or does something. But that doesn't happen much anymore XD

Daaku is really smart and kinda quiet but he's not really "mature"...I guess...? he likes to build and desetroy things XD He also doesn't like to be poked

History:

1) Does your OC have a family of any sort? If so, are they still alive?

Most of my characters don't necessarily have families but some are related. Snofyre and Daaku are cousins, Asahi and Amchika are siblings, Stardust and Phara are sisters, and Kye and Alani are related...somehow. I'm not sure yet

2) Is your character out on his/her own? If so, why?

I don't know, they're all like, friends...and stuff.

3) Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?

Uh, there probably are, but I can't think of any at the moment

Well, I gave most of them human forms...so they have opposable thumbs

ok, here goes:
I don't really remember much but I was at my friend's house and she told me that we were going snow-tubing. I was all " yay!" but then I remembered that I didn't have any clothes to wear in the snow. So I looked through in my suitcase (I don't know why in the world I had a suitcase. But I did.) And there was nothing in there. Exept some super-spiffy camo pants. Then I was poofed into my room somehow and I got my clothes. Then I had to go to the bathroom and I noticed that someone had put soap in the toilet o_O

Okay, folks. Here's the deal.

By now, you've heard that Scott Jarkoff, aka °jark, is now a FORMER Staff Member.

I'm not privy to the whys, wherefores, and whatever-the-hells are going on behind the scenes here. Don't ask me anything about that. I know probably just as much as you do.

DeviantArt, in my opinion, is becoming less about COMMUNITY and more about CORPORATION.

So what we need to do is bring back THE COMMUNITY.

Here's my suggestion.

On August 7th, DA turns five years old. Five years for a website like this should be a grand affair, one big event.

So don't submit anything on August 7th.

I'm talking a print, a deviation, a scrap...nothing.

Instead, just leave a comment. Visit a user's page and just say hi.

If someone wants to buy a subscription that day, I'm all in favor or it. It'll keep the servers going, and anything that keeps the hamster running is a good thing.

BUT...I think folks shouldn't buy any prints. No print subscriptions. That goes against the COMMUNITY theme for the day.

We want to put the COMMUNITY back into DA.

If you're in favor of this, if you believe in the power this COMMUNITY has, then join me. Post this in your own journal. Spread the word to everyone, with a and a .

We might be touting at windmills like Don Quixote.

But if enough of us do it, we might be able to remind everyone that this is a COMMUNITY first and foremost.
