Alright! Duos series has started up! In case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, previously I did a set of 6 of my favorite DBZ characters, individually wrapped in their own shiny pictures! I took a poll and found that people wanted to see a few more, and here we are! I'm upping the ante and doing duos this time. We've got six duos, and when I'm done I'll be making a final group picture out of all of these.

So recently I finished watching Naruto Shippuden, and since its hard for me to work on a drawing all the way through without breaks, I've started watching Bleach. The manga totally sucked, but the show is AWESOME! I'm only on episode 3, but its pretty good so far. The only thing I don't like as of yet is the bad guys... they're just too simple. But the soul reaper girl he first meets is cute ^_^

Oh, and I've been watching Cowboy Bebop with my friend Shawn too. It's interesting! The style reminds me of Quentin Tarantino, and the overall feel is like the 70s I think. I think thats what I like about it, is that its so odd compared to the other anime I've seen. Only 26 eps though? ghey.

~~~ EVERYTHING ELSE ~~~

So lately (as in, this whole entire spring and summer) I've been deciding what I want to do with my life, and, I'm still not there. I don't know what's up with me, but maybe I have a really slight personality disorder... or maybe I'm just selfish, I don't know. I feel like there's so many things I want to accomplish that I don't have time for a girlfriend, or any friends for that matter. Then there's a part of me that only wants to hang out and have a good time and just chill and play videogames and eat ramen all day. On top of that, a part of me is incredibly ambitious and another part of me is incredibly lazy. It drives me nuts, let alone my family and friends! I don't know, I suppose the search goes on.

But recently I finished up watching Naruto Shippuden. 220 eps of Naruto and 120 of Naruto Shippuden passed in a matter of weeks and I finally realized something very disturbing: there's more to come! Not only is it rediculous that a series is this long (though the entire Dragonball series is longer), but I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MORE EPS TO COME OUT! And those are the Japanese eps subbed in english! Man am I impatient! ^_^

The good thing is that now I can start a series with my friends, and get more work done. Maybe I'll feel more up to giving Amy some decent bonding time with me :] I was thinking about watching Cowboy BeeBop. What do you guys think?

So I logged on today to find a new feature for deviant art portfolios. Like... real portfolios! I already have a portfolio on my website, but because I was lazy I never created a php form to input a whole bunch of images really quickly. So... there's not much on my website as far as drawings go (sandfire1on1.com)

So why TheDeafBlindMute? Well, that's kind of my "new" name. Everyone says sandfire1on1 is dumb, random, and hard to remember (its also hard to explain over the phone!) so I figured I'd start using TheDeafBlindMute more. Problem is, some places have 12- or even 8- character restrictions. When I get to that point... idk.

I hope everyone's been checking out my stuff lately. Everything's practice, but some things are turning out pretty cool. I got especially excited when I finished the comic-esque one named "Helpless."

Tell me what you think about my stuff! PLEASE! I need feedback!

I'm looking to make something worthwhile. This isn't something small, this is something large-scale. However, don't think I'm just jumping into a big pond without some sort of thought. Quite the opposite. The whole point is that I'd like to establish a worthy storyline and background BEFORE I work to make my first section (call it chapter, saga, whatever..)

This means I'm wanting to pull together different sketches and stories for each of the characters, including model sheets and detailed information. I'm going to want to lay out the terrain, landscapes, structure of the cities and the actual buildings that are in them. I'd like to have everything well thought out before I take steps to lay out the panels. Of course, there will still be plenty of work to do at that point.

Contact me if you're interested in helping out with any aspect you can think of. Let me know your strengths and weaknesses, and I'll begin to build a contact sheet and let you in on different things that need help. Everyone that chips in will get some sort of reimbursement, but I'm not sure what that will be. Probably something menial, so don't chip in just to get some special prize. Chip in cause you have nothing better to do :]

Oh... and... did you know Micheal Jackson died? (bad inside joke...)

Well.. I know I haven't been loyal lately, but I should end up getting back into drawing fairly soon. Aw man this is turkey week, which means that I'm going to have to go to my Aunt Lindas :-\. Well, at least they have food and xbox 360.

Speaking of xbox 360... we're probably going to get one for christmas... I'ma pay $250 and my dad will, and we'll get the console, an extra controller and like two games. It's pretty rediculous how much these things cost (kinda why I haven't gotten a console in over 5 years), but.. hopefully I'll get a job soon to counter it.

Speaking of jobs... I've finally started looking for jobs. I really don't wanna work at the nail salon, or a black atheletics department.. so that rules out %50 of the mall. And, of course, I can't work somewhere where you have to be 18.. so there goes another 35%... It'd be sweet to work at a bookstore or Guitar Center or something... maybe a fast food joint.. whatever.

So... I am, like pretty much usual, disappointed in myself. I should have kept body building since last last summer lol.... but, like always, I decided that, after the first 2 hours/day month that I would stop.. er, rather, I ran out of good food to eat and hadn't any energy to work out for more than a short while.

So, anyways... I'm gonna come up with some plan as to how and when I'm going to, considering that I spend 2/3 days with friends and all the time i can listening to music, playing guitar and drawing.. Maybe in the morning a little... I dunno, we'll see. I really want to though, cause I'm pretty flippin weak, though it's more for the looks than the actual strength gain (who doesnt..)... meh.. So... I definately just uploaded like 6 pictures to put in here... but seeing as DA is sucking balls like usual and doesn't let me see my proper gallery/scraps, you'll have to see if you can see them... take a gander over at my scraps section. There's a crazy dog from this place where my one cousin trains her dog for competitions, a picture of her with her dog, one with my other cousin with one of their horses over at the neighbors house, a pic of the neighbor's house/stable (its pretty much endless), a pic of the crazy quimby that follows you everywhere you go outside, and a pic of some random dog that does the same... oh, and a pic of my cousins house. Yeah.. I definately was visiting with like 4 cousins, my aunts , uncle and grandmother, but, I basically spent all the time with my two cousins rachel and jordan.

I didn't have much 'fun' at my cousins', but I truly enjoyed their company.. it was a very very good weekend, dispite my other cousins trying to kill me non-stop and my uncle being mad at us childs for scraping up the side of his truck (not me!!).. he decided it'd be a good idea to punish us (not just the ones that did it, me too :() by driving around in the endless illinois farmlands while it was damp and fucking cold... it sucked, but, I hid inside my jacket... I have this sweet antartic jacket thats endlessly warm. You put it on, and everything on your body is cold, and then your torso/arms are sweating and very hot. It's rahter interesting...

So, the music copying process is going great... found out i can get a 250gb harddrive for $70, and then a bay for $15, and that I'm not going to get a lightscribe drive. The point which I wanted one has gone, and has been replaced with the urge to obtain as much music as I can... I simply can't stop!!! :P I <3 music lots :)

So... I got this thing for EMusic for free 25 songs.. I was disappointed later that i could have got 100 free if i'd of searched 'round on google.. oh well. Regardless of the 75 songs, I'm so endlessly glad to have found out about this place before I had spent the extra money to get all of the cds I wanted to get... and, oh boy... I wanted a lot of cds! Now I can get a cd, such as Commit This to Memory, for $2.86 :).

Of course, I don't get the cd version with the booklet, but.. I rarely look at the booklets I have now... unless I'm looking at the inserts.. I dunno.. I just like the music part I guess... prolly why I never go to concerts. Anyways, I wanna get these here things:

-100sum gb harddrive for $40 or $50
-internal > external usb case for like $25
-lightscribe burner for $40
-lightscribe cds for $.4 each

etc.. I want stuff for holding the music.. prolly the harddrive first, cause I'm take a gander thru some friends stuffs :)

woot!! I JUST learned what HTML stuffs I can use in here... yay to me! I knew the HTML, just not what I could use.. so now im using it.. I'll prolly do some css soon too :)

So I'm changing how my journals will be setup.. the footer will be my 'THE LIST' project, which is basically my list of bands I like that grows daily as of now. The ones that are bold are the ones I like more, and the regular ones are the ones that are decent to listen to :). My AIM profile has the same thing, but includes red for what is my truly favorite all-time bands that I know a lot of songs from (and usually all their lyrics too :)). The Header will be the progress of my current projects. Of course, in the middle is my journal content :)

So.. I'm trying to learn The Hell Song (Sum41) and Hurricane (Something Corporate).. I know the chord/rythm stuffs for both easy, but the solo for the hell song and the intro to hurricane are both really fast... especially the hell song.. sum41 is notorious w/me for being too fast!! And I thought I was pretty flippin fast too... damn.. oh well, I'm getting better :D

Speaking of drawing time.... I'm finding I'm starting more projects than I'm finishing!!! OF course, all artists do this.. but still.. meh. It really suxxors to have to skip good ideas so you can finish other things your no longer interested in.

On another note, my friend and I came up wtih the idea of watching a movie series or two a week. Yesterday, we stayed up till 6 watching Kill Bill volumes 1&2 and Saw 2. It was pretty sweet, but we meant to watch four more movies that we didnt.. the Final Destination 1 and Saw 1 were both out, and we've seen FD 2, and the Final Destination that we have has no audio for god knows why. Next week will either be the FD series or Pulp Fiction and other goodies.. we're aiming for at least 3 a week.

So I play Dungeons and Dragons and Star Wars RPG, and today was swrpg. I guess I'm a screwed up noble guy that turned bad and used cybernetics to repair my body and because of my work on prisoners and such to furture my research, I'm to be detained by the millitary. But anyways, I guess I have a giant hammer too.. and I guess I exploded some guys body with it and smashed off someone elses head... I'm supposed to draw a pic of the all of us players, but I had to do other stuffs ahhhhh!!!

So I was driven to school and home by kenny over the past two days and he's definately someone that you almost love to hate. He's someone that you really want to hang out with, but yet does dumb things... like.. while driving, spit out the passenger side window while someone's sitting in that seat. But, idk... it's like.. he's a really fun guy so why not get to know him better instead of just saying 'i hate that %(!%@!^^(^#@ kenny.'?

So, regardless, I decided to have this hot chick drive me to school because that'd, obviously, be the better route, especially since it's her mom driving and not kenny in his $25 car :D. Speaking of kenny's car, he jumps on the hood regularly.. and his car is covered, or rahter NOT covered in rusted or missing paint. I hope my first car isn't like that. Of course, I'll be driving my parents cars before I get my own..

Last topic: I'm coloring in that 'The Time is Now v2' pic, not the v3.. I figure I can add the v3 in if it's really needed, and finish maybe a bit faster... at this point tho, on hour like 15.. I don't think it could be fast enough to matter..

So uhm... I've noticed how some people are REDICULOUSLY creative... like some of my 'friends'... the kinda friends that you enjoy encompanying, but not really hanging out p2p... yeah that sort.

ANYWAYS... these people piss me off.. what the hell man, WHY can't I be that creative.. these are the kinds of people that like to add in sweetass effects to their drawings or, say, add in some random paint splatter deal behind thier drawing, or a canvas effect, or a weird set of seashell textures as colors to their drawings... it's so jewish!! So, I've boughtified a lonely little Wacom Graphire4 6x8 tablet, which will be SO sweet when it finally comes in the mail. I got it for aroudn $60 off from PageComputers.com, becaue they're sweet... I should have set it to 2-day shipping though; I can not wait a week for my dearest to arrive!!! When I was looking through them on wacom.com, I was about to get the $700 one, but I thought about it, and... who really needs THAT much space??? My monitor itself is only 19"... I don't need a drawing board thats like 23" lol.. And, we (as in me and my mom) decided that I should just get this one, because the intuos3 ones have giant footprints, and I can easily do without spending $150 more for some buttons :P (yeah I know theres more to it but w/e). I've used my friend aeronux's for a little at his house (which sold me instantly), and I'm hoping mine (his is the 4x5) will fit on my lap nicely while i lay in bed drawing late into the weekday nights....

About Twilight Children.. so, the game's going to be something like ragnarok or whatever; an MMORPG. We're splitting the development of it up into versions, with the first version basically being a test version with like one town, some wilderness, and a quest or three.

We're trying, not unlike every other company out there, to make things revolutionary but still simple. So, we've come up wtih a few ideas to make the players WANT to talk and interact with as many NPCs as possible, and as many friends as possible. Also, we've come up with a new system for magic, as well as a new system for items and such, so that the game isn't all about buying items, putting them on, lvling, and PvPing it up... we want a game where people get to know each other as well. As to the basic background of the game, we're thinking of having it start out as medieval, and then move onto futuristic, maybe with those choosing fuedal weaponry and such being more religious/spellcaster, and those who look to technology being the opposite.

Well, this kidna sucks, but it's good too. Twilight Children, for those that don't know (nearly everyone here), is a MMORPG that my friend Mike and I are/were creating. In the current version, you can levelup by fighting monsters, up your stats when you level, chat, and use/inventory/drop items. However, we have a problem..

The language that we used, BlitzBasic, is really truly outdated and inept. So, we're looking at using PlayBasic or DarkGameSDK/C++ or using BlitzMax. PlayBasic has a ton of functionality, but very little expansive power, whereas C++ has a lot of functionality and a lot of expansive power, but is a little harder for mike to learn. As you might have read, I have programmed for like ever... in C++, so I'd be profiecient enough.

Alright, so, apparently, in my pre-calculus class, some people were failing some tests. Now, I get Bs and As on the test, and I have an A in the class, so it's EXTREMELY disappointing to find out that because some other peoples were failing the tests that I have to do MORE THAN TWICE the amount of homework now! GAHH! Seriously though; we went from doing ten problems to doing thrity to fourty... it suxxors the big 111 :P

Same dealy (almost) going on at college; I FINISHED homework 4 and the other people all screwed up on homewrok 2 and had to redo it. Then again, I already know basically everything for this class (well, I have to take it because theres maybe two weeks of stuff I don't know that well.. but I still know it, just not that well), but still.. it makes me so aggrevated when people screw up on such easy things. Which isn't nice. I shouldn't do that. Bad me :(

So.. my next piece for DnD (we decided against using that pic I just drew, even though the person running it said it was pretty sweet) will be (again) a cleric (again) weilding a mace (again) with magic, except this time, he'll be striking down on some foo, and his eyes will be all glowing and stuff. It'll be 'neat' :P

Also, only about four more hours of painting my Space Marine Scouts and I'll be posting some pics of my Space Marines so far up in hea. Scouts take so long to do, and they're only friggin crap infantrymen. Which reminds me... I need to buy some hands and heads for some of them lol.

Well, there seemed to be a lot of people liking my 'Halt for the Thousandth Soul' picture - something like 40 views over a day? This next picture I'm working on will be sweet I hope. It's takin me at least 5 hours so far, prolly around 3 1/2 being all on the razorwire. I only have to shade some more things and then add in the whole background - prolly going to just be a foggy black w/splotches..

School is kind of agrevating, because I never have a totally free day... there's always homework of some sort every damned day. *gets coffee* To counterweight this, luckily, I only have two challenging classes; Senior English and Calculus I. I also take Drafting/Engineering IV, but the work for that class is negligble; so long as you work wholeheartedly through its entirety you don't have to worry about any sort of homework.

I only have three classes, so I leave home at 7:30 and get home around 1 :) I only have three because I get to take one off for every college class I take... Plus, college is free because I am dual-enrolled; I take both highschool and college courses. My main careers I want to excell in are Engineer Drafting, Art, and Game Programming, so I'm taking C++ Programming... the fun part is, I already know everything from independant study! :D

Oh, and the reason for the Space Marine drawings is that I just think they are the coolest! I mean, come now... each one is stronger, faster, more agile, cunning, better equipped, more charismatic, more devout and far better trained than any other hero anyone has ever heard of. That plus their psycho- and bio-engineering makes them the best possible forces of mankind. Now, take this superlegion of mankind's finest, and add in a sweetass background story with such a strong base as the bible itself (not that I'm religious.. but I still think the bible holds one of the better stories out there..), and you get some friggin kickass peopel that kill things in the name of their eternal emperor! Sound familiar!? It is! Crusaders have been doing it for awhile now :P
