Thanks for lovin' my shoutbox, pervs!

So, I'm co-chair of an awesome little furcon by the name of Camp Feral! this year. It's a small (around 150 furs) con held in Algonquin Park, Ontario. You can find more info about it at [link]!

I've been called upon by Potoroo, the chair of Feral! to round up some nice art for the conbook. Now, this is on a purely volunteer basis, but you'll by all means be credited. Advertise your art without even being there! :3

If you'd like to contribute, please comment saying so, and I'll forward a link to your gallery to our conbook coordinator. Once he's given me the ok, I'll let you know and you can start drawing!

Drawings can be inked, black and white, or coloured, and preferably of furs doing 'camp' things like roasting marshmallows, hiking, canoeing, etc. You can use the activities listed on the Feral! site as inspiration.

We need art by mid-August! :3

So, I've started the slow process of watermarking my work. All inked pieces and finished drawings will be marked with both my 'logo,' a skeleton key with dragonfly wings on one side, and a textblock with my signiature, my alias, my VCL site, and a request that you don't copy my art or redistribute it for profit.

Exceptions are most badges, and anything I consider a doodle. Much older works will probably not be marked. I'm still deciding on that.

I should have been doing this from the beginning, but better late than never. I tried to at least choose something pretty to watermark with, and my text marks are placed as unobtrusively as possible without being rendered useless.

Don't like watermarks? Well, sorry, but you'll have to deal with it. I'm protecting my art to the best of my ability without abstaining from posting it altogether. If you REALLY don't like the marks, you could (god forbid!) commission me- originals are never watermarked, only signed. ;3

Back to work with me... I've got a week's worth of stuff to finish by Tuesday. Whee!

I know, I never upload anything. Currently I face the problem of a whole lot of inked pictures, but a largely dead marker collection, and insufficient funds to replace them. I'm working on this. This is the only time I really miss my pencil crayons- they never ran out of ink!

Alright, so, I went through my list of trades and cleaned out the few that seem to be no longer valid; neither half was started and I haven't heard from them in a long time. Even still, I have a somewhat intimidating list of ten left, though many have been started already and they are all ones I am very eager to work on.

Dates indicate when the trade was fully settled (and logically the time I should start working)- they're there so I can keep track of how long I've kept people waiting. o_o Asterisks mean that I've already received my half and should really get their half finished!

Must go get more metal stuck through my skin, soon. Very soon. Actually getting antsy about it- needs to be done sometime during the next week, I think.

Will have to start up the bodymod fund all over again, unfortunately. So expensive... recent estimate for my tat was something like $250-$300, and that's the smallest one I have planned.

I've been slowly chipping away at the monstrous pile of art I've got to do, and though it isn't getting smaller very quickly, it is getting smaller.

Got drunk last weekend! Like... really drunk! Three Revs and a shot of Jager, that's all it took, and I was hitting real bad on my guy friends (my boyfriend just thought it was funny, thank trees ), falling over, talking to people I didn't know (and giving them backrubs, lol), had to be half-dragged into the car, then into the house, fell over in the upstairs hallway and just stayed there laughing my ass off at absolutely nothing for half an hour, somehow ended up in Dave's room under a pile of his laundry, then woke up in bed.

It was fun, anyways. Kind of annoying, though, I kept getting mad at my body for not responding properly to my brain. Locking the bathroom door at the club was almost too challenging for me. XD

Hangover, though mild, also not so good. Breakfast made me feel better, though. Very amazed that my boyfriend, after having nearly twice as much to drink as me, was able to help Noodles (whom we found balled up in an alleyway beside the club, he drank waaaayyy too much), AND me (I think I had to be carried to bed O_o). I mean... three Revs and I can hardly lock a door, and five and a Jager and he's still able to help us silly bastards.

First Mikko, then Andrew, now Scuz may not be able to get to Feral! This isn't good at all! ;_; Even worse, I have this stupid fear that it may be my fault, even though I can't tell you why... (it would spoil the surprize... >_> ; Gads, I'm so lame.)

If Scuz doesn't get to go it would be the apocalypse, honestly, she's practically the embodiment of Feral... I know how much she looks forward to it... And on a completely selfish note, I really want her to be there, and I'm not the only one. *pout* Let's hope that this situation gets arranged quickly for her, and that everything turns out alright...

Otherwise... Got lots to do. I'm going to try to get all my commishes and crap done before I have to go off to school, and boy oh crappity I've got a lot of em. Also got a couple of other projects I'm working on, gifts and things... Just want to have everything out of the way once I'm up in Artsy People Fun Trees Land. Yes.

I wonder if that hat I ordered is done yet. That would be splendid. It's bloody cold today, strangely enough.

Getting pictures done today, by none other than the splendiferous ! Look for those in a couple days, hopefully nothing'll go wrong. Heheh. I think we may stick to indoor photos for now, though, because it's awfully chilly to be standin' outside half nekkid in water today.

Also invited to a party as a paid henna artist, sweet.

Well, this is odd. I'm up at 2:30, with hardly a memory of what's happened between 7pm yesterday and now. O_o

I went to Northern Anime yesterday, a local con, just starting their first year, as an artist with my own table! It was pretty fun, what with Adam, the art room organizer, being my Designated Jos Company For The Day, meeting a few neat people, having my friends come by (and Jesse bringing me a whole thing of trifle!)... I picked up a copy of Hellsing vol. 3, and ordered a custom-made toque for meself... I also sold a couple prints, got a few orders for commissions... I can't believe I'm being paid for the one, it's awesome, she wants Alucard pr0n. XD (One of the signs on my table said 'I draw PR0N! Shh, don't tell anyone.')

It was a nice time, but my mood unfortunately took a gradual turn for the worst as the day wore on... I had been up since 3:30am and had to get up at 6, so I was damn tired... that trifle and my stomach didn't agree with each other... I wasn't selling much... Eventually my stomach was in such pain that I chose to call it quits for the day, even though I would've liked to stay for the dance.

My dad picked me up at 6:15pm, and when I got home at 7, I crashed on my bed, in my clothes, makeup, jewellery, kitty ears, everything... and I just woke up now. So I is a wee bit messed up. Yesh.

Feral sidenotes: Mikko told me yesterday that he's not going to be able to make it. Also a bit worried that might also have to pass on this year... I'm such a selfish kitty. >_>

Remember, too, that if you get a screencap of my 1003rd pageview, I shall draw thee a little something. =3 Love to you all.

I'm not impressed.

Everything else I have is either a) Mine or someone else's original character; b) Unfinished; c) Too personal (gifts and such); d) Rubbish, or e) All of the above. *annoyed* There was once a time when I just drew whatever was in my head, it wasn't all fanart or original characters. Of course, everything from that time is too old now for me to consider it portfolio- or print-worthy...

There's other stuff going on right now that isn't helping my mood, so, I apologize for the rant... not like anyone really reads journals anyway.

I just uploaded a few things out of many I scanned, I hope you like them. =3 Remember, I'm a comment whore, so please leave me some, even if it's crits.

I'm so behind on my art! I have two commissions that should've been finished a while ago, gift art, and several projects that I want to get done. There's just not enough hours in a day when you spend 10+ hours on a picture.

Kinda funny thing I noticed: The few pieces I really love, no one else seems terribly keen on. Hmm. Not complaining, just pondering. *ponder ponder*

I really must get my entry for 's contest done. As well as reference pics for the trades and requests I've got waiting. Gah! @_@
