Try to keep it around PG 13 ish Okay?
Too much blood and gore is just not our cup of tea.

TRY to update
If you have at least five pages then your good for about a month. So if the fans ask for more then keep up the good work!

I only log in here on friday nights so naturally A LOT of messages build up and I don't always have time to deal with them all.

NEW MISSION STATEMENT: WE NEED MORE COMIC CREATORS!!!!


So far only the awesome and myself have been doing the comics and that is not enough to entertain the good citizens of DEVIANT ART! We need NEW BLOOD! Send us your original gags and jokes Not all of them have to be long epic connected stories like Cain and Unable, 3HPD or Opey the Warhead! They can be one shot LOL's with some characters you threw together on the spot. Just put it all under the same title and draw the same guys with a different joke.

This is a great club that I am PROUD to be a member of! And the only thing that can kill it is the inaction of talented artists like you brimming with great comic ideas! Come on WHO'S WITH ME!

But when I got back to my apartment, I found that my internet hookup was faulty due to a malfunctioning router. So the computer in my room...my life-support, my soul-mate...is pretty much internet-less for a few weeks. Between that and the general air-headedness of coming back from vacation, I totally forgot to update SatAm last Saturday.

I'll be updating it tonight without fail. A zillion apologies to the contributing artists and their fans, and I'll try harder to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

Well, ol' DA has actually given us Deviants an immensely helpful option recently; gallery folders! Now we can all organize our galleries into convenient little sections like the little OCD monkeys we are!!

What this means for SatAm faithful is that all the series featured here are finally cordoned off into collections, to further reading enjoyment and accommodate story catch-up and research. Every series, from the consistently running flagship titles like "3HPD" and "Cain and Unable," to discontinued or extended-hiatus strips like "Pennies From Heaven," "Pocky Person," and...ahem..."Gunlock."

Of course I'm open to any suggestions, considerations, or opinions concerning this new development and anything else about this club. I hope you guys have enjoyed the ongoing stories we've presented here so far, and we're always open to new, original strips.

I also encourage readers to visit the individual artists' pages and smother them with praise and accolade directly. Some of our regulars like and have ridiculous amounts of comic strip goodness just waiting to be loved with your eyes, so go do it!

I'm all about increased access to the things I love, but with this comes a loss of something. When I was a kid, you could watch cartoons after school, sure, but the one great time to sit down and veg-out to cartoons was Saturday morning, when the big three networks would roll out whole lineups of shows created specifically for that time and that time only.

I guess what I'm saying is that I miss having something awesome like this to wake up to on Saturdays. That's where this club comes in. Knowing as many creative people on Deviant Art as I do, I often wondered what kind of cartoon lineup we could make, given the money and opportunity.

Although that may never happen, what we can do is create comic strips and collect them together every Saturday morning. This is our channel baby! We have no marketing campaigns or ratings to worry about here, we just get to make whatever the hell we want, however we want.

I welcome everyone to come by every week and catch up on the ongoing stories we have here, and if you don't like them, then hell, make your own and submit it! Everyone is welcome to create a regular or limited comic strip series for exposure here, just so long as the content and characters are original.

And that's what we're all about.
I'd like to personally give a mighty big shot out to my good friend , who not only created our sparkling avatar, but has been behind the project 110% since the beginning. Her enthusiasm is contagious and everyone's feeling it. I'm already extremely happy with the response this club has gotten so far, and I hope it only grows as the weeks roll on.
