Hi, guys!

I've made a decision on a project I'll take up as a challenge to myself. That will be "** strangers" project. I use ** because I'm not sure about the number of portraits I'll manage to take in a way I like. I've also came up with a theme or a moto that will bind the portrait series together (it's a secret for the time being, but knowing me and my style you can easily guess what that will be).

And here is the rub about the project.

Do you guys sign any kind of model release thing when you photograph strangers? Do you do it before taking a picture or after? Do you talk over model release details with a person?
What advice can you give me?

I mean signing it and talking over it ruins the whole atmosphere of the photo, but not signing it may bring even more trouble. I think, I'll probably use those photos for an exhibition in future, 'cause the series promise to be interesting.

Another thing I would be enourmously grateful for is the text of a standard model release in Japanese language. If you have it, please send it to my e-mail: atey.saveleva@gmail.com for reference.

This sounds funny, but I'm tired of water drop photos. They may be crystal clear, they may be different, they may have bokeh and they might be shot from incredible angles, but... At this point they seem so shallow to me. They are beautiful, but so empty. It's funny, 'cause everytime someone manages to shoot clear droplet, flocks of fans fav it :)

I love photos that have life withing them, that are deep, that capture passing moments.

Would search by country or by interest be a nice feature for DA?

Sometimes I get in the mood of searching for people, who reside in the same country as I do. I don't know why this can be important, but still. May be, to share DA passion and offline photo sessions with someone? And sometimes I feel like going on quest to find someone who is interested in macro or bokeh, or impressionism. Existing clubs/communities are not always helpful because information is not updated regularly. But on the other hand browsing randomly and then bumping into a real jewel is more exciting, than just looking through search results.

So… I thought why don’t we recollect some Japanese poetry in here? What is your favorite haiku poem or tanka poem? Do you have a beautiful deviation, which conveys the poem’s mood?

- your favorite Japanese poem
- your deviation (a photograph), which matches the mood of the poem (a deviation may be either old or new, any genre, except Horror and Macabre)
- one deviation per poem, but many poems can be submitted by one person

Here comes a game.

I shall give a journal feature to my 100th watcher and to those who catch my 1’999, 2'000 and 2'001 pageviews. The feature will include a brief annotation of a person and some of their artworks.

Here I give you some tips for the game.

About the watchers. Now I have 55 watchers and there are about 10 new watchers coming everyday. I remember everyone who is already watching me, so do not delete and add me again – give your friends a chance to get noticed instead.

About the pageviews. About 70 people visit my page daily, sometimes the number climbs to 100 or falls to 50. If you caught one of those pageview counts – just make a screenshot and send me a note with a link to it.

So this is the math :)

When I woke this morning and came up to see what's new on DA, I found out that I have dozens of messages, which is quite odd for my message box :) I was suprised and thought to myself: "What on Earth have I done to attracta all those respectable watchers and flattering comments?" And nothing came to my mind :) Lol.

And then I was browsing my news and deviations submitted by fellow deviants on my watchlist... And Oh my goodness! I saw my work listed among new pack by =iBokeh. This was an amaaaazing feeling :) Now I feel so entitled. Lol :)

It's true I sumbitted my shot some time ago, but I have totally forgotten about that :)
