How to Join
If you are interested in supporting the Invader ZIM artwork and fandom, then send a note to the club, or for a faster responce, note our Club leader ~Kayari. Please remember that the ONLY way to join is to NOTE the leader/club. Please do not comment on the club's main page asking to join.

Submitting Artwork

To submit a Drawing or Other work, First submit it to Deviant ART, and then Send the link by note. Only drawings with Irkens will be accepted. Drawings of Just Dib or other non-Irken characters of Invader Zim won't be accepted. Profanity Is not allowed. (This rule isn't too strict on Blood as much as it is vulgarities.:S) Also, please don't submit more than 3 drawings at a time. It kinda makes it so you take up the page, and that isn't fair to others who send one or two. Also, don't send your scraps. We want you to put your best effort into stuff for the club, and not just send the leftovers, okay?

Hello New and Old members!!! Unfortunately this club had died out a while back, and no one has updated or run this club for almost a whole year. I plan on changing that.First off, we're still having the club ID contest, i dont know if any of you had submitted anything but we will open it up once again.

Come on people! We need to livin this up!! Any help and any support would be awesome. Please make sure to put the club icon on your page or mention us in your sig! Get some new recruits! Ill be working as hard as i can to keep this updated at least 6/7 times a week!

Oh dear LORD! Who could this be? Is it miss 'run away from her old account' again? Yep! Hahah....I'm still alive. I was thinking that it was going to stay the same with me doing EVERYTHING, but it's so good to know that I finally found someone trustworthy to help!

Everyone should give Net Bug a hug! She's done an awesome job around here, but my summer has begun and I do indeed intend to get this club back into shape!

As for the comic, I may as well try to start it again. The thing is, I've realized it makes a LOT of the Zim characters go totally OOC and do things that would never happen. I sort of made a bit of an original Idea based off it, but I'll do the comic for responsibilities sake.

Hello. New helper here, and WE ARE NOT DEAD! I apoligize for the lack of updates that have been happening. Things are pretty backed up, but I got some new members added in and art submissions have not been ignored. They are safe in an "art to submit" folder and will be added soon.

Ack....So sorry about this guys. I have been into SO MUCH stuff. I have absolutely NO TIME to do this. I really need help. I can't even keep up with all the stuff I've got to do on this club.*dies*

The comic is gonna have to go on Hiatus until I can get more free time. It may be christmas break that I start again, but it might not. I really would like to be able to do all this, but I don't have enough time right now.

Also, If anyone wants to help out with submitting the art or adding in members that would be great. I really could use the help. Augh.

Well, we finally got SOMEONE who cares about their fellow irkens.

sent in this months "Outstaning Irken Saver" and since that person in the only contestant. They win! Yey!!!

Just as her art inspired the one who nominated her. As I look at her page, I am inspired to draw a little more Zimitude. Her style seems to jump out and say something, and it really get you thinking about all the different ways you could really draw and irken (or invader zim character of any other race). I feel this uniquness just might be what we're looking for in an Outstanding Irken Saver. Thank you, ace for sending her in.

In other News, The comic will be late. I tried to get it in....but my computer got shut off mid-lineart by a storm, and I lost half the lineart. So I'll try to do as much as possible today. No promises on if it will be done by tonight though. Just cross your fingers.(all three of them if you have to! xD) and wish me luck.

I also just had a really good idea how to prevent my stupidity from ruining the comic update again. More details later, okay? I gotta get to work!

Hey Irken Savers. It seems we need another new policy on submitting artwork. It seems some people like to send in their stuff after they've sent it to the scrap pile. I feel that's defeating the purpose.

The purpose of submitting art to the club is to promote yourself; Not to let people thumb through your trash. You should send in things you WANT people to see most.

It's also not good for the club if it is full of scraps, as that makes people think the club is full of low-quality artists, and that would set a bad example for the Irken-saving cause. This project began to make people realize: Hey, people who can really draw Irkens still exist out there! I should try to draw them too! Not make them think: Augh, another group full of drooling fans that want attention....so sad.

Not to say the art is bad, but it can't be the best you can do, otherwise you wouldn't be hiding it. So please, help the cause and DON'T send in you scraps.

One more thing: SEND IN SOME NOMINEES FOR THE OUTSTANDING IRKEN SAVER! You need to send them in before The first update in November or I'll have to choose randomly AGAIN! Please help your fellow Irken savers by sending in your Irken-saving buddies! X3 Or send yourself in! XD I don't mind.

Hey there fellow Irken savers! It's been a while since I updated, so I figured we were due.

Well....I'm still wondering if the contest for the ID is still even going on...>>; I haven't heard much about it. If no one enters, I'm totally going to...unless it's restricted with just members and not leaders. That would stink...

Sorry about the comic page.

I had it almost done, but then I messed up the bottom half of the page...and...augh. I'm going to redo it tonight though. It's gonna be in my new little interesting style...not too different from normal stuff, but still sort of different....I'm rambling.

Ok, now comes the part you all actually WANT to hear! I've decided that the featured person in the journal will be called "The Oustanding Irken Saver". This person will change once a month, and may end up being two people if it shows true. Please, if you want to nominate someone, note me or the club. Hey there, you guys. If you did read the updated rules, then here's the change. Only submit three at a time. Why? Because let's face it, you don't just join a club on devART to support a cause, you do it to have artwork showcased and get a little more traffic. If you take up the page, then it wouldn't be fair to everyone else who spent time on one or two and sent them in with pride, just to be totally lost in the gallery within an days time.

Also, I'd like to announce that

has joined the club. Why am I treating her so special? Because she happens to be the co-writer for my comic: Save The Irkens! She's really a great person, and a pretty nice artist. She also helps me write a lot of the plot that comes early on and near the end.( The simulation helmets were from her inspiration X3)

If not for her, I probably wouldn't have much of a comic, because I would have had no idea what the plot would be. So thank her. She's the one that inspired me to make the comic, and you wouldn't have it without her.

I think I just started a new thing I'm going to do. Put up one of the members that is awesome every time I update. Kinda like a featured member. See? She started that too.

Well, the entry time for the contest is over with two last-minute entries. ^__^ Sorry if anyone else wanted to enter, but Those were all the notes i recieved.

You all did very well- 14 Entries! All of them were awesome. I really enjoyed seeing everyone else's characters! Now for the real test.

Each of them will be graded on quality, design, and background story. I'll grade each on a scale of one to ten, and the three highest will be the winners. The highest out of the three will be the grand prize winner.

Of course, all the "losers" will get their character in a cameo. The size of their part may vary, but don't expect anything huge. You all did a great job! Good luck everyone!

During the time of the contest, we reached the mark of fifty members and obtained two affiliates! Yay! This club is growing very quickly, and I have to say I'm very happy with the outcome.

The thing is, we have all this neat stuff, but we don't have a club ID. I had that Idea a while back, but we never went through with it. If the other Co-Leaders would note me about it, we can see what we can do about it.

Your Mission:

Draw your Irken OC! Once you've got a good picture of them, write a little bit about them. After you've done that- send it in to me and I'll evaluate your character. Then you just need good luck.

Your objective:

Get them into the comic! Just by entering, you are entitled to having a cameo in upcoming pages of this fun comic. No worries, because everyone wins! ^_^

The three best will get major parts in the comic, and one of those three will get a whole chapter dedicated to them! The creator of the First prize winner, can also help with the writing and such!

Mission Tools:

-Try to get a colored picture. You wouldn't want me the mess up the coloring on your character.

-I'm hoping to find crew members for a group of pirates calling themselves "The Gold Rush Pirates". The name has to do with their similarities with a rare gem or metal, so if you happen to have a character like that.....

-This has to be completely YOUR character. If they have anything that's stolen from someone else, they will be disqualified. Pics the qualify will be set up and club deviations.

-No profain things. I just don't do that.

-I am particularly fond of characters with scarfs of jackets...I don't know why...I just am.

-Make your outfits really imaginative, but still Irken-ish so they fit in well.

-Here's a list of Invader Zim characters that have already been twisted by my fangirlish ways: Tallest Red, Dib. See them? Don't pair with them. They're taken.

-You can send in three characters max. I know some characters just have to go together, and If one of them wins first place, they most likely all get into their chapter anyway.

Yes, cheesy song quote title. Fear it, for It has been instilled in me by DDR Extreme 2.

I was having a serious problem with inspiration, and I got caught up in some many other things that I forgot completely about my duties as the guild leader. All my plans for making the guild great were set inside my creative storage, and I lost contact with the Irken Fanbase.

Never fear, for I didn't die and come back an i've-outgrown-zim zombie chiuaua. I just had a little brain troubles, but I'm ok now.(as you can note from my random funniness. Laugh I say! You will LAUGH. *does Tak style brain control*)

I was thinking on making it up to those that missed the club by doing something extravagant and uncalled for. It would include a contest, a TON of Irken Original Characters, and one really crazy comic named after the club. I'm currently working on the cover for the comic part, and the contest will be announced after the cover is completed.(just to make sure i don't cheat anyone out of their prize.

Yes, I have a new account now. Just thought you'd all like to know. ^_^ This isn't all I posted the journal for, so don't freak out.

I belive my intentions on the guild were extremely misread. I do not hate anime, nor do I think that Zim and Anime are a bad combonation. I just think that Anime should not wipe the little green dude from out hearts and minds.

If you think that this guild is an Anime haters guild for Zim fans, then you have it all wrong. It's just about Irkens, and how I do not wish for people to ask me "Who is Zim?" or "What's an Irken?". I'm sure you can relate to this.

That's all I have to say.

So here's the low-down.

This is a contest to make the Guild's first Logo! You make a 50x50 pixel avatar and submit it so the guild members can vote on it!

Rules::

1. Must be irken related, not Dib, not Gaz, IRKENS ONLY

2. Nothing too flashy. It can be animated, just not really bright and crazy.

3. Sorry leaders, you can not compete in this one. Just for members.

Tips::

1. Try drawing them youself, just using IZ screenshots is fine, but the more effort you put into it, the more likely you'll be to win!

2. If you have photoshop, you can rezise images you draw and still have them clear! that's nice :3

3. Use reference! Look at other Zimmy avatars for inspiration, it's not against the rules! (just don't copy them)

Prize::

1st place gets Their submission as the guild's official version one logo, and I'll draw ya whatever you want

This is the first official day of Operation: Save The Irkens! The guild was inspired by the many very good Irken artists out there who wanted to put a stop the the fading out of the Irken style as we know it, and I'm all for it.

I was showing my friend's little sister a drawing I drew of Zim, and when I told her who it was she immediately asked: "Who's Zim?" That day I realized the fandom of Invader Zim was dying.

Then I saw that there were people who wanted it to stay as much as I did, So I thought back to that day, and said,"I have to stop that!"

Man, I'm boring! Ok, Long story short, Here's the club!

I'd also like to point out that this club is NOT about Invader Zim fans that hate anime. It's not that we love anime less, it's that we love Zim more.(if anyone knows where that came from then you've taken 10th grade literature.) I myself actually like to see a mixture of the two. Variety saves fandom, so mixing Irkens with Manga is actually probably helping the cause for saving a show worthy of a great fandom!
