Hellbound Chronicles Website - [link]

The Hellraiser horror franchise spawned an icon in Pinhead, as played by the brilliant Doug Bradley, and from those first two lowbudget films there spawned an entire franchise. Most know of the sequels, some starring Pinhead in a lead role, others featuring the infamous Cenobite lurking in the shadows, all of which has now possibly come to an end wth the approach of a remake of the orginal film. But there's so much more to Hellraiser, and in the late eighties and early ninties Marvel's EPIC Comics published over a hundred Hellraiser stories in comic form. These dealt with the expanded mythlogy from Hellbound, of Leviathan, the Labyrinth and the Cenobites that live there. These comics opened up Hellraiser, beyond an icon, into an entire mytholgoy that still, even todya is barely touched upon and, with a remake, likely won't be.

Except by the fans. Fan Fiction has been around for years, Fan Films are increasing and now, we are proud to present, the Hellbound Comics, Hellraiser comics by fans and for fans. Of course, whilst fans are our main audience, we also want to appela to broader horror fans and, even past that, a broader audience still. These are not professional work, they aren't paid for, but they're done with thelove and passion tha only fans can provide.

The artists and writers will vary, it's an anthology series first up, although there will be returning characters and linked stories in future, and the early scripts will focus and deal with imagery and ideas that are familiar and yet fun for Hellraiser fans. We plan to balance the line between homage and familiarty and originality and creativity. As we progress we hope we can offer soemhing for everyone to enjoy.

We're also always looking out for new writers and artists to join the fold, to get involved, and we welcome any feedback on the issues. We will be launching this Friday, 22nd May, with our first Issue "Welcome to Oblivion", a bleak tale of life in the Labyrinth. Also published will be two older comics, precursors to the Hellbound Comics today, which are entitled "Cut from the Same Cloth" and "From the Darkest Hole". This is only the beginning, we have many more stories planned, we will update with regular news on when a new issue will be available and we will have a dedicated forum to discussing the comics. So please, come and join us, and whislt we welcome critique, good or bad, remember this is a non-profit venture done for the love of the material and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we have.

The Hellbound Chronicles official site - coming 22nd May [link]

Deviant Art Name : The-Hellbound-Web

- Scarecrow

Tunnicliffe unleashed Project: Angel. These images portrayed a very different, very modern and, arguably, very controversial redesign of Hellraiser icon, Pinhead. This was not an official design but a picth done by Gary, to show his willingness to adjust to the needs of a modern audience and present a new take on the character. The remake is coming, and with it, a new Pinhead. Now it's time for the fans take on the character.

The challenge is simply. Design, draw, carve or sketch your own new version of Pinhead. 3D computer render, a clay sculpt, a mask or simply a drawing, anything is acceptable. Be as traditional or as wild as you like.

T&C: The entries will be judged by a judge appointed by Scarecrow. Judges' decision is final. The contest will run until 17 April 2009. The Hellbound Web owner reserves the right to make changes to site content at any time. Entry into this competition constitutes agreement for The Hellbound Website owner to use your winning artwork freely and in perpetuity.
Prize

You can win your choice of prizes from a whole selection available, including rare comics and autographed items. This contest is worth a respectable 3 points. What this means is that if you win, you can choose one 2 point prize and a 1 point prize, or four 1 point prizes, or one 3 point prize... it's all up to you! Prizes are listed here.
Sending Submissions

Submissions should be sent to Scarecrow@cenobite.com along with a text file detailing your name, address (for potential prizes) and your email address. Emails should contain the subject heading "THW Contest".
Deadline

Entries must be received by 23:59 GMT on 17 April 2009.

- Scarecrow

UPDATE: And we have begun! We have a completed first issue of the comic, ready to be released. We will probably not launch until we have at least three issues completed to avoid having to halt a regualr installment but it is up in the air at the moment. Still, a significant step on the ladder and we're seeign some great concept art and coic pages from others! Together we are making this project brilliant!

---------------------------------------------

Hellraiser comics for fans, by fans. It's been attempted before, two wonderful issues were completed around 2004 by Daniel Holland and Matt Cerovich, based on scripts by myself and DocM. The project got no further but hadn’t been forgotten and now it's being resurrected. In fact, it's already underway with currently TEN artists interested in the project, TWO comics already in progress and FOUR preparing work on their comics. One comic is over half way done and some scripts are being developed.

This series will get it's own section on The Hellbound Web, designed especially for these fan comics. The stories are set as a direct follow-up to the EPIC comic series, in terms of the Leviathan mythology although, as fan based comics, they will focus more on the best elements that fans enjoy.

And most importantly, this is a fan venture, for fans and by the fans. We have more artists than writers currently but that doesn’t mean we’re not looking for both. Anyone wanting to draw or write stories get in touch, either with any example of your art or some brief story outlines. Not too long or detailed mind, people have to draw these in their own time for free, but a story that could suit a 6-10 page comic. If your interested reply to this message or email scarecrow@cenobite.com and I hope you will enjoy the development of this series!

This Promo art is by Hellbound Web Forum member "Ash Loomis", who is drawing one of the first issues. It gives a taste of the level of quality this series can strive too: [link]

- Scarecrow

"The Hellraiser Chronicles: A Question of Faith" is getting a free screening in the UK. Shot as a promo for a Hellraiser TV Series, the film is an excellent addition to the saga.

Message from the Director:

I got it confirmed today that the film has been selected for a special big-screen event at Birmingham Library Theatre on Wednesday August 20th.

FilmFirst, an event funded by Birmingham City Council and organised by Mark Pressdee of Macoy Media, have chosen it for a special event night where I and some of the others from the cast/crew will be doing a Q&A session after the end of the film. We will also have a supporting 20 minute horror movie showing afterwards, but I don't know what that one is yet.

If there's anybody in the UK (mostly those from the Midlands I guess) who would like to attend, the event is free, and doors open about 6.30. The show starts at 7pm.

---------------------------------------

Any Hellraiser fans in the UK should check this out! "The Hellraiser Chronicles: A Question of Faith" is also on DVD for free, with only costs being covered.
The Hellbound Web Banner Contest: [link]

Your chance to win a selection of Hellraiser Comic that YOU choose from the selection available here: [link]

For full details on the contest and to see the enteries received so far check out the contest link.

Introduction
Following the success of the prize draw the time has come for the banner contest to, like Frank Cotton, be reborn. This time you will be able to keep track of entries, as with the prize draw contest, on this very page. Within two days of receiving entries they will be added to this page. So if you don't see it here within that time then I haven't got it and you can contact me via the site address or the forum. Also, I have added already the entries we DID get the first time round but those people are welcome to re-submit a replacement or new entry if they so wish, but they will not be excluded just because of the previous email problems. Thank you for your patience and get designing!

Description
Leviathan craves Order and the simplistic but effective design of The Hellbound Web logo surely pleases the great God of Hell. However, sometimes a little Chaos can be enticing and so The Hellbound Web is holding this contest where we want you to design a web banner to help advertise the site. The banner will be used in exchanging links in order to represent the site on other web pages and can be as creative, colourful, interesting, graphic heavy or graphic light as you wish.

The banner should be around 468x60 in size, this is flexible and entries recieved before this update will still be counted. The file size should be no more than 35kb. A single person may submit a maximum of TWO different designs. It MUST feature the words "Hellraiser The Hellbound Web" but everything else is up to you. Get creative, be original and above all, have some hellish fun!

Looking at takng this simply deviant art page and transforming it into The Hellbound Web's Official deviant art collection for Hellraiser and Clive Barker fans. For those who aren't aware, THW (The Hellbound Web) has been around for over a decade and is the internet's number one Hellraiser resource. Like Uncle Frank it's in the process of being torn apart and being stitched back together by Pinhead and his band of Cenobites.

The first stage of this is getting it linked to all the major locations Hellraiser fans lurk. THW now has a youtube group, myspace page and now a deviant art page. The major lins to know, therefore are:

Hellraiser: The Hellbound Web - [link]

The Hellbound Web Forum - [link]

The Hellbound Web Myspace - [link]

The Hellbound Web youtube group - [link]

And now this place. THW will aim to celebrate the art of Hellraiser fans, whether costumes, films, illustrations or whatever esle you wish to create. Huge Galleries can be found in the Interact section of the site, so please, feel free to submit your own work and chat to other fans about cenobites, Hell, or whatever else you like in the forum.

Welcome to Hell!
