I've been playing Left 4 Dead 2 with my best friend and I love it. I love Louis. I also love machine guns and not being able to aim and shoot at the same time. I am probably the worst at video games but I love this one anyway. On top of all that I like to scuttle around as a hunter.

My weekend has been... interesting to say the least. I didn't go out for thanksgiving dinner so my dad brought home some leftovers from my aunt's house. I was feeling pretty ill for various reasons. We went black Friday shopping for the first time. Despite the crowds of people everywhere I thought it was pretty fun! I've also become fond of Osamu Tezuka's Black Jack....even though this part was rather hilarious...

QUESTION: what are some good games for a Nintendo DS? I got Professor Layton and the Curious Village, what else should I get?

So.
I'm tired.

I'm going on a hiatus of undetermined length from all internet communication. I need to get my applications done and submitted so I might not be able to respond to you guys for a little while. That doesn't mean I won't be active, I'll still upload things and be on tegaki but this is the rest of my life we're talking about. It's serious.

I've only been in an active role on the internet for about a year now, so it might be easier for me to say this than it would be for others. I've starting to feel like all this just isn't a necessity, especially for me. I have my own life, a busy one at that. I have friends, I have work to do, I have family to take care of and the internet just seems to get in the way.

This doesn't mean that those of you I've grown closer to are any less important to me than before, it just means other things have come up that demand my attention at the moment. I also understand that I have some commitments on here and eventually the goal would be "no pressing ties" to be worried about.

If anyone has any advice on applying to art schools, it would be much appreciated. By all means, don't be afraid to talk to me!! I know I have some watchers that I've never talked to personally and a lot of new watchers that might be discouraged by a message like this, but...I think it's for the best.

AHAHAHHAHAHA IT IS SO COLD RIGHT NOW. IT IS 37 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT INSIDE MY HOUSE. I CANNOT FEEL MY HANDS. My dad does not like to turn the heat on so I am bundled up and cowboy boot clad. It is also raining outside. While I like rain, I do not like being pummeled by icy rain pellets every time I step outside.

I may be on the brink of a short hiatus as school and college applications are kicking me in the ass. The ass that I use to sit in front of the computer. It needs to rest for a little while.

I only used the 'gloomy' mood...dude...thing because that's what it looks like outside. I, myself, am relatively happy. And cold.

Once upon two weeks ago, little Antics boarded the train into west Philadelphia (born and
raised.) Halfway through the ride, an enormous whale of Septa boarded the train and sat near her. And by whale of septa, antics means an obese American on the septa train. The whale was like Moby Dick. But more obnoxious.
It talked.
And it ate.
And it applied make-up.
But it was a kinda bumpy ride....so the whale messed its' eyeliner up. Antics lol'd as she preyed upon the whale, harpoon in hand. Just when the whale least expected it, Antics shifted her harpoon into position and, IN A MOST HEROIC FASHION, HARPWN'D THE WHALE. Leaving the blubbery mess behind, Antics pursued the benefits of public victory. She smiled and waved at the the crowd around her as they clapped, cheered, and threw change at her so that she could get a drink from the crepe cart during lunch break. She exited the train at the Temple station and proceeded to walk through the scary neighborhood to her class.

Realistically? Long. Just fukken around and doodling? Short.

Both, but I have to have a reference if it's facing the right and it usually comes out cartoony if it's to the left.

Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Actually, I'd much prefer a 3/4 view to either of those. But of the two choices I'd rather draw a front view.

What do you have problems in drawing?
Folds...consistancy...coloring....not coloring...resisting opacity overkill...jokes that make sense to anyone besides myself...CHILDREN. OH GOD I HATE DRAWING CHILDREN.

Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Both! Well, now I am anyway. I just started using digital medium(s) in...ehhhh....I'd say October of this past year. So I'm new to digital arts and I don't really feel that well established in this area. I guess I'll always be more of a traditional artist at heart. I miss my camera too...I only have a digital one right now and I'm used to using a manual.

Where do you start drawing from?
Shape of the head first. That way I can measure out the rest of the body. Then I do a gesture to get the basic pose down.

What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I'M REALLY SLOW. And I can't draw simple things...like line art and comments on tegaki. Sob. Look what happens when I try to draw quickly:

Well, it's my birthday tomorrow.

Haha, I'm always late for everything, so obviously it's in my genes or something.

I would be lying if I didn't say that this has been the most emotionally stressful year of my life. I've been incredibly apathetic about most things and my family has fallen apart, but I got through it. And I'm better than I was a year ago. And I will continue getting better for the rest of my life.

This is a sad time, but it will get better.

I went to a concert tonight. ATTENTION: do not kick my ass if you loved Twilight, because you will be kicked to the curb by my laughter. Also, there are spoilers and uniformed judgments/claims made here. I didn't read the book. I don't particularly like MTV. (MTV had a hand in the creation of this film, for those of you that didn't already know that) And I am a generally skeptical person when it comes to book-turned-movie deals.

Well....I went to see it with three of my friends tonight:
1. One friend an avid fan - "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD THE MOVIE! Well...I'm not actually going to squee when Edwa-OMG EDWARDDDDDD!!!"
2. One friend an group event coordinator - "Hey let's go see a movie, it doesn't matter which one or how bad the reviews are!" (ex: Max Payne. Nevaaarrrr agaaaaiiiinnnn.)
3. One friend who was sure she would hate it. - "This is going to be the worst movie i'll ever waste $10 on. Awesome."
4. And me. I don't care. But it looked silly!! "Screw dancing, I'm going to laugh my ass off tonight!"

And my dreams came true. I laughed all night long. I still am, in fact, laughing.

It was so fantastically horrible. In the theatre I went to there were girls. There were fangirls. So many vicious fangirls. Girls that screamed when they rolled the credits and Edward's eyes appeared on the screen. His EYES.

So of course, I screamed in a rather frightening manner during the clip of the wheelchair-bound-wolf-clan-decedent-of-vampire-hunters-native-american father who lives on a reservation with his Hawiian-looking son who appears out of picturesque, 'Welcome to Hawaii' postcard backgrounds to creep around on Bella. Sweet skills, my Hawaiian ninja creeper.

The Father. The Native American Father. I love him so much. I mean, what the hell was he suppose to be? The beyond awkward scene of wolf clan papa driving (but he's crippled???) past Edward, rolling down his window and STARING at him threateningly? This scene effectively conveyed to me, as the viewer, that he could magnify the size of his eyes from a normal human beings to 3 times that size on cue.

And then came the kiss. Bella and Edward Kissed. Edward tells her not to move, but because she is really a man and desires a Super Seme card, she kisses him back and nearly flattens him on her bed. BUT! He flies backwards across her room in a style reminiscent of 'The Exorcist' and wimps out.

At this point in the film, I turned to one of my friends and said:
