Hi guys, I am now mostly resided at [link] now, solely because of the loading time of dA is too much of a joke on my connection. As in Youtube loads quicker and can be done if left overnight and I'm lucky, dA is just frame only and nothing else.

Not that I'm too active in paperdemon either, it's like a philosophical slug having a stroll down the cabbage patch, but at least I get there. This is not an account abadonment. Once it becomes viable I'd like to come here more often too, and I'll certainly at least put some attempt at loading up gallery here. It's just that keeping up with the comments and all is more difficult than its worth. In the other word, nothing new. I will try my best to come here again and confirm my stall listing for Auckgeddon a fortnight before the said Geddon. Beside that, let's just hope I can afford broadband one day.

Whoop Rotorua that has internet cafe that opens after my working hours! Now I can let this out! Plug plug plug: Visit Rotorua. I'm loving this place!

Due to the lovely university schedule eating my partners in crime during the time period, I am flying solo this time with a stall Onminoms. Apologies if there are any clashes with other artists. The craft ban at Doujin Overload means most of us did end up with an overload stock of craft. Hopefully the styles will vary so much that I don't end up competing with the other awesome people too much!

Anyway, this is my stock. I will also be uploading pictures later on, so you guys would know what to expect. Last year my food charms sold out within a day, so any early purchase arrangements or commissions are welcomed! Also, trades are welcomed, just let me know in advance so I can plan for it.

All prices are in NEW ZEALAND DOLLARS, and it is an convention discount only. They will later be available on Etsy in the same numeral amounnt but in USD. 1 NZD is approximately 0.61 USD right now.

Art prints

A4 (ish) art: $4.50
A5 (ish) art: $3.00
Postcards: $2.00
Bookmarks: $1.50 each, or $5 for a set of four.

Clay charms
Choose from having them on a phone strap, a key ring or an earing hook. The prices are based on how long they took to make and how homicidal I became with frustration. =3 There will be picture samples later on, once I borrowed a functional camera.

$4.50 lot
Donuts
Ice cream cones
Cupcakes

$4.00 lot
Simple ice cream cones
Forest berries cheesecakes
Banana chocochip cheesecakes
American hot dogs
Pink layered cakes
Chocolate layered cakes
Pavlova
Cappuccino
Black coffee
Black tea
Ham sammich
Chocolate danish
Cream cookies

$3.50 lot
Belgium biscuits
Fairy bread
Pizza slices
Chocolate chip cookies

$2.00 lot
Liquorice in orange, pink, yellow and lime.
Jelly beans
Jaffa beans
Pick and Mix any 3 mini lollies

Flat charms
Choose from having them on a phone strap, a key ring or an earing hook.
Price and range to be advised later on, reason being that it's still at the alchemy stage. Currently I'm hoping to be able to work it out so I can sell it for $2 each.

Stickers/Keychains
They are now listed here because of the sheer size.

COMMISSION ONLY

Colourful Fluffy Petticoats

$25 each, available in following colours:
Sealing Wax
Alexandra
Purple
Viola
Violet
Iris
Lavender
Coral
Powder
Empire Blue
French Navy
Forrest Green
Citronelle
Peach
Flo Carnation
Flo Lemon
Flo Honey
Flo Baize
Flo Cerise
Flo Rose
Flo Gold
Flo Tangerine
Flo Peach
Flo Blue
Flo Red
Cherry
Silver Grey
Dark Purple
Dark Green
Flo Citrine
Candy
Salmon
Fireball
Lime

Character charms
They will look like this.
$8.00 each. Minimum order $5.

Art commission
ARMAGEDDON OFFER ONLY, and only two spots are open. A4 sized work in media of your choice (no oil please). Konata from Lucky Star
2. Lex from A-FAG
3. Vivi from Final Fantasy IX
4. Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear series.
5. Elena Turk from Final Fantasy VII. Hard one as I adore the vast majority of the cast.
6. Near from Death Note
7. Connie from Portable Doors series.
8. Rock from Black Lagoon
9. Lucia from Shadow Hearts series
10. Selphie from Final Fantasy VIII

Extra:
- Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney series. Beaten Maya Fey by a credit card thickness, because of the more well rounded delivering of his character in AA4.
- Loretta West from Outrageous Fortune. I disliked her for a while in the third season, however by the fourth I love her. This season? I'm leaning toward GO AWAY YOU ARE NOT THE LORETTA I KNOW again.
- Alyssa from Silent Hill series. Exclude the movie, consider what happened to Alyssa's character was the reason I am 1000% in a personal vendetta against Christopher Gans. Had Heather and Henry been in a different game they'd both make the list. I'm here to help you the best I could. =3

***

Remember when I mentioned Casebook the Game a while ago? Well, I got it and clocked it. Here are my long-winded, but mostly spoiler free review. Unless you are =SilverandCold516, in which I can confirm that you see the hot detective a lot and you should buy it.

Style, graphics, and all those physical things

The mood and style of Casebook are fan-superbly-tastic. The exact settings are blurry, though I can bet on a parallel universe where the technology is somewhat in the 1990s, yet overall style and feel of the place is a little bit more synthetic, but charming 70s. In a place with similar social structure and culture as modern day New Zealand, in which everyone was using this pseudo American-faking-British-faking-Australian accent that occasionally slips right back into a BEACHED BRU depends on actors’ level of excitement. I made this sound a lot worse that it really is, to be fair the entire feel of the place is just endearing, fake enough to put some distance but not so much that the audience can’t resonant with it at all. The only complaint is that I wish they had the option of subtitles, as I can foresee some overseas users can’t catch half of the lines and smash up something in frustration.

The best aspect of Casebook, is by far the visuals. Once up on the time I did complain about far too many studios fall for the “yey next gen” craze when it comes to craph-I mean GRAPHICS, is that people get so caught up with being more realistic and technologically advanced, that they stopped giving a flip about whether it will enhance the actual sensory pleasantries at all. Also known as “Our Art Director Doesn’t Know What Primary Colours Are but He Sure Can Program! Syndrome”, when the makers seem to be a bit confused about what skills should be used on where. (Incidentally it’s every bit as bad to have a skilled graphic artist working on things he’s just not made for. Any scripts down by Tatsuya Nomura is there to prove that.) As a result, the technology gets savvier and savvier, and the games start to look like they were concepted by the same individual who REALLY likes his reality brown, his boobs Blobber physics, and his texture straight out of a bucket of vanish, shined down to the last polygon.

What Casebook managed however, is a realistic, technologically innovative yet incredibly stylish visual style – it is hard to not get over taken by excitement and start to scream “LOOK I’M IN A PHOTOGRAPH!” once I started exploring. It’s almost like being rewarded with the fantasy of being able to freeze time, staying as the last person freely moving and just explore the world in its set frame state. The slight AU mood only enhanced this further more, making navigating through the game a truly pleasant experience.

Given that it is a game filmed rather than animated, the acting quality could make or break the game. And I shall describe the acting as sufficient, good enough to not get on your nerves most of the time, but not good enough to be anything special. There are some occasional truly cringe worthy moments, but if you can get through the original Resident Evil or the first Forbidden Siren, you be able to tolerate the acting in this.

Gameplay

Gameplay. There really isn’t much to say, beside that it’s a point and click (your Mu- I mean your CAMERA) adventure that takes you from point A to point B, with a few interludes of mini games. Think of it as a crime detective version of Project Zero, aided along the way by Lana and Ema Skye. This is the kind of game play that will polarize the audience, but really the game is pretty obvious about its mechanisms from day one. To me, whinging about something like this don’t play like Ninja Gaiden is Blurb Comprehensive 101 phail, the video game equivalent of buying a jar of Marmite then complaining about how it doesn’t taste like candy floss. The game play of Casebook certainly works well for its intended purpose.

This is absolutely not the game's fault, bu...

I'm here to help you the best I could. =3

***

If going to conventions is like chilli peppers, you get the ones that hit you in the face full throttle with the first fiery taste and five seconds later you can’t even remember you had some; then there are the ones that slowly works itself up and you don’t even realise how spicy it really is until your face were streaked with tears, snot, sweat and if you are unlucky, blood. Up until now most cons I’ve been to fall under the former category, where I go, get all excited and borderline incomprehensible, and spend next three days in this eat-faecal-matters stupid grin after glow while wildly F5ing every single possible place where other people who might squee with me are squeeing. This time however, I was never in a burst of excitement. Instead, I just simple won’t stop thinking about about it a week afterwards, slowly brimming, ever lingering.

Yeah, I’m still going on about Armageddon. In fact, I'm going to write a TL;DR (NO SERIOUSLY LONG) report here, two weeks overdue. Most of this report are accumulated emails to my friends during tea break, I won't promise it's coherent, but I'll try to be entertaining.

Friday Morning:

I want a teleporting machine. Now.
There is only one bad thing directly related to this particular Arma is - how I got there. Usually it takes about three hours of drive to get to Auckland via Whakatane. Take a wild guess how long it took my bus to arrive – SEVEN hours. I kid you not – they attempted to catch'em all; "'em" being every single North Island town starting with “W”. via the route to Rotorua nontheless (Because we all know that to get to North East, we drive to South West. It's zen mate, zen). In fact, about three hours into the trip, I saw a sign saying “WELCOME TO WHAKATANE” So I started to have this suspect that Intercity is really doing a rung of some game based on a bastard child of geosurfing and orienteering. Whatever I saved on the bus are now off to a chiropractor as nerves on my back are still stinging from it.

To rub insult to injury, knowing that doing anything other than sleeping would’ve triggered motion sickness from hell, I tried to catch up on a bit sleep. Two seats across the row from me, were two very, very loud preteens giving out far too much information about their sexual intercourse history. For about five out of the seven hours. For the ones of you who don’t know , I am a painfully visual person. Do you have any ideas what images were violating my brain in the entire time?! ARGH I MUST NEVER MENTION THIS THE IMAGE’S COMING BACK TO ME ARGH AND I’M CAPLOCKING THE ENTIRE TIME IN PAIN! ACTUALLY I THINK THE CAPLOCK’S STUCK. GUYS GUYS GUYS, EH, THIS IS MY WORK COMPUTER. SHOULD I BE oh got it off now. Whoa I’m going to do shift-only for the screaming now. [sic, because I look at this now and I laugh]

Anyway. Time to seriously consider an investment in a set of Neku headphones and wear it everywhere. (Though when I did that in Dunedin, people get offended because they called out my name from my back, I can’t hear them, and they were convinced that I was snubbing them. WASN”T BRIGHT RED APOLLO JUSTICE HEADPHONES A BRIGHT RED BURNING PASSION OF HINT?!)

Friday Afternoon and Night:

Auckland, I want to be inside of you
As I walked down the road to our backpackers, two things stood out to me. One, I saw more people in that 200 metres walk than I have in the last half an year or so. Two, I had a brief moment of brain confusion as at least half of the sighs in the main street are in Chinese. It was pretty surreal. There were traffic lights, and man oh man I’m tempted to sell my local vote to the first person who will set all the roundabouts on fire and sticker some traffic lights in so seeing little red green men made me rather happy.

Welcome to our Inn! 500 gils, all you eight folks can share a bed
The backpacker was designed somewhat less user-friendly, however. For a start, they conveniently forgot to tell us in advance that they charge twenty bucks bond for the key. That to get anywhere in the seven storeys building we need to press the button AND scan the tag, in a specific order that I still haven’t worked out. (If you really want to know, my first trip up to my room...

I'm here to help you the best I could. =3

***

I've been playing quite a bit Nanashi No Geemu on the DS lately. I know I know. A survival horror on the DS, made by Square Enix. Just how scary can it be?

Well apologies in advance because caplock of doom is coming. Keep in mind that this is a very, very atmospheric game, the entire sound and stage design is made to feel like it's happening right there. You can't fight, you can only run, and the moment you run into a ghost you are dead so it's even more run-like-hell than Clock Tower series. Because of the backlight issues, and I didn't want to disrupt the others in the house, I played this game in complete darkness with headphones on. Again, I stress the amazingly terror provoking settings of this game. Superbly done.

I have hell of an active imagination. I also happened to be controlling someone who runs just about as fast as a pair of roller blades going uphills on a downward directed escalator.

I've already game overed once, by opening a random door and rammed head first into the bosoms of a waiting ghost. I could've escaped that one had I not fumbled with my shaky hands.

This time, I avoided that door. The statics were picking up. The in-game lights were flickering. There's one last door for me to open. Right behind me, the huffing and puffing of my mortality was deeming closer.

I didn't want to open the door. But if I don't, in less than five seconds it will be a certain death.

I held my breath and tried to tab on the door. The stylus slipped out of my sweaty hand. Running out of time to pick up, I knocked my knuckle into the touch screen in a desperate attempt to open the door, even if I knew that waiting on the other end was likely to be every bit as deadly.

The door creaked open. The screen darkened into the load mode.

The world froze.

THEN, A BITCH OF AN EARTHQUAKE HAPPENED.

WHAT THE FUCK ARE WRONG WITH YOU TECTONIC PLATES?! I'm here to help you the best I could. =3

***

The following story is about ten days old. But worth telling. Even if I have stopped WTFing by stopped thinking about it.

So. Olympic opening. Epic, blah blah. My flatmates and two
of their friends stayed in the lounge to watch it on big projectile
screen and surround sound and alcohol, and because I don't like crowd
I hid in my room moaning about economic terms (long story, I shall not
go there), soon I went to bed.

Later that night I had a strangely lucid dream. Keep in my that I have
lots and lots of lucid dreams, this is not unusual for me. In which, someone came into my room, shuffled around, then jumped in my
bed and fell asleep. What was unusual was that I was fully aware that
I was almost asleep, that my bed was slightly leaning to an angle, and
I COULD SMELL ALCOHOL AT WHERE THE UNKNOWN PERSON NEXT TO ME which
made me a little uneasy. Congratulating myself that it's a common
lucid dream where I have full control over the situation, I was
getting a little awkward in my dream and wondered whether I should
just leave it as I don't want to make a fuss in my own dream. I know
that this may sound a little strange, but the ones of you who remember dreams probably know that emotions in dreams are strange. Such as
having an overwhelming empty feeling of loss while swimming in a Soul
Calibur Luminescent lake on a sunny summer day, or the ecstatic relief
of joy after being hit by a rubber bullet in middle of cardboard box
race. Still, calm but uneasy that I was, I decided to say something
after all. Politely, I asked if things were alright there (to whom is
most likely to be a night invader), only to have the person shooting
out of my bed apologising profoundly before dashing out of the door.
Only to then rush back again, rustling on my floor for what seems like
forever picking up various stuff, and dashed out again. Flipping
around, I wondered about Moonglo apples only to drift back to
dreamless slumber again.

Only to wake up in the morning, first had landlady bemusing about
about how she thought it was bizarre on how the drinking guests made
what was not an early leave, but a ruffled escape out of the house in
some ungodly hours in the morning (in her words, they really didn't
have to leave THAT early! She doesn't mind!), to other flatmate
gingerly wondered out aloud whether someone came into my room by
accident last night.

Only then it clicked. Rather than a dream, it was a cocktail of too
much alcohol combined disorientation, that have proved to be more than
degrading for this young and thin-skinned lady, my five seconds bed
mate. That Selphiroth is so sexy, she almost woke up next to a naked
stranger this morning had he chose to stay quiet. In her OWN bed. There
are no amount of WTF in this tale. ***

Current Request STATUS: CLOSED The next batch may open sometime in late September or early October, depends on how fast I can work through my list.

Current Request list:

(excluding the ones already on my worklist)
- ~RemotelyxPainful (Heise from [link])
- =SilverandCold516 - Please get back to me on this. Are you sure you will trust your characters in my hands?

If I left anyone off, please give me a reminder.

About Requests

When I'm not overly busy, I may take requests of non-commercial nature, one request per person. Please keep in mind that I'm doing this for free, hence I don't have the obligation to get it done in the same speed as you'd expect out of a commission. Also, I will not follow through the usual sketch/approval route, instead you are taking a bit risk on what kind of final product I will deliver. I will promise that I have too much pride to make you a stick figure, so don't worry about that. I do have a list of past requests here if you are curious about the quality.

I do use a good deal of items in my gallery as resources, and I will make high resolution line arts available for others to colour if they wish so. If you don't wish your request to be used as a resource, please don't make one.

So in short, if you have a strict deadline, or are very, very precise on what you want, or if you are quite protective about that piece, I'm begging you, commission another artist. One of the main reasons that I don't take set commissions now is because I can't guarantee that I will always have the time to do them in the set amount of time.

Conditions

You may use it for your layouts, icons, backgrounds etc, but please do credit me. Don't resell them, but feel free if you want to distribute it without charging for it - again I expect credit. And if you want the traditional original copy, it would be $US5. I'm not rich enough to give out free postage yet. XDDD

Priorities

In case if I get more requests than I can handle, the priorities goes like this from the highest to lowest:

1. People who never made request.
2. People who made requests in the past but not to me.
3. People who made requests in the past from me.
4. Serial requesters who did not request from me.
5. Serial requesters who did request me in the past.

I think it's a lot fairer as I don't want people who never had any requests missing out. Also for a personal preference side of things, I prefer your OCs over fan arts of already established characters. I like to create something instead of copy pastaing, the only reason I'm so sketchy about showing my own OCs is because I'm over-sensitive like that.

And this is pretty much obvious: If you are an art thief, don't even bother to request from me. You will get caught out, if not by me you will be by others.

Past Requests
(Read, I'm too thick to scan them first XDDD) You must credit me for the line arts if you are going to use it though. And feel free to drop me a line on your coloured work - I'd love to see how you coloured it.

Yes, you may post coloured work in your own dA. I don't mind. <333
