After I sent him that he sent me a message in how he understood my plea and wishes a lot more companies would understand the same message. Now I know different strokes for different folks and my game tastes are different to another persons game tastes but I am always surprised at people who just see games I like as stupid because it's not all "SHOOT EVERYTHING THAT MOVES" and one action sequence after another.

BioShock was lucky not to have the same fate as Psychonauts, a great game filled with hyped but lost out because it was easier to pirate the game, than buy it and support the smaller companies bringing out cool and original games with a lot more effort put into them. If I see another EA games for the PC, I normally go "Oh hey, I'll pirate it because they normally bring out mildly entertaining games but in the end it's another game that is unplayable", but if I see a lesser known company bring out an original and amazing game, I really want to support these guys, with hope they will get enough money and start working for another few years to bring out a sequel.

I know a few independent game designers also who suffer the problems of piracy a lot worse because people would rather download a game for free that people take years to design with money out of their own pocket, then give these guys $10 and say well done guys, here's my money keep up the good work and this $10 shows my appreciation.
