So. I've decided to do another contest...one that may actually end if PEOPLE DO IT. As for the last one, I'm going to do a redo- look over what's submitted for the coloring contest and pick from there. If you still wanna submit, the deviation's [link] dis.

Anyway, this is a character creation contest. No real reason; I'm just highly interested in what you can come up with.

RULES~

You can pick one of three races; either Dra'ken, Norethian, or the Linosinean races. The background and personality is a MUST, and the entry MUST have a full description of clothing and character if you are not arting.

Seriously. Give it your all. Even if you don't have skillz, I'm not judging on how dropdead gorgeous your art is. What I'm going on is concept. I want to see what your mind can belt out, whether it's pen or pencil.

Here're some descriptions:

Norethian- An Elvish race in origin, these proud people are actually the youngest race on their world. Most tend to be highly prejudiced, especially against humans and elves. Of all the race, the magic users are all only women. Any male that can use magic is immediately trained to be a rune knight despite familial origins. Men's magic differs from women's magic in that they are hardly ever trained or have the ability to use elemental or otherwise offensive magic. Instead, they can charm weapons and armor, adding elemental affinities. Some have been known to even hypnotize their enemies.

Norethian dress is typically asymmetrical and swept to one side. Clothing covers all of the body, yet is light enough to wear in heat even though the climate there is generally very cool all year round. Royality is the only exception to this, as the queens of past have been known to wear simple dresses.

Eye color has no known limit to range, though hair color is never outside of what a human would consider "natural", though those with brown hair are rarer. The only exception to this is white hair, which is very rare.

Other info: Experts at crafting weapons and armor, though the metals they are able to mine are generally too soft to make anything useful out of. Instead, they tend to decorate everything they own with jewels or gold, which is quite plentiful there. Their herbal remedies are also widely sought after; their teas have been known to do wonderous, unique things to each individual.

Dra'ken- Long story short: This is the result of dragons and humans coexisting for such an extended amount of time. These are dragons who learned to shapeshift and eventually lost the ability to ever change back. These dragons bred with humans, and the result over hundreds of years became the Dra'ken. This was arguably the first nonhuman race to grace these lands aside from the dragons and sylvan elves themselves. Their arms much resemble wings, though they are useless for flight. Instead they use them for show, painting them during festivals or covering them with armor to use as another weapon. Women have retractable claws, while men have to be more careful of how they handle living and delicate objects.

Dra'ken are known as a warring people, being highly aggressive in nature toward other races. Instead of royality, there is a single head of the race at one time, known as the General. He can opt to choose a right hand man, though it is not entirely necessary.

Upperclassmen are the Dra'ken males that have proven themselves in battle or training. They are the strongest, the fastest...the smoothest? of the group. These men are allowed to walk around without anything covering their chest or back, allowed to flaunt the full extent of what they have to women. They usually wear baggy, sometimes even "poofy" pants of varying colors. Underclassmen, on the other hand, are to wear tunics and straight-legged pants.

Women are much more rare than men, and as such, it is hard to breed in the Dra'ken society. Women are a prized treasure, and it is the highest offense to harm one in any manner.

When a Dra'ken is born, it is allowed to grow up for four years with its mother before it is decided what to do.
