Just some things to document on what i've been doing on DA since my last update.

Joined up Samurai Duelers League. Basically its like a club to me, people setting up duels with each other in a form of a drawing competition . Never had much of a fancy for joining any clubs or leagues initially but admittenly this one is quite fun.

Speaking of duels i do have one going on with the :iconhotrs: 'House of the rising sun'. Still working on it but i honestly never have been one to see deadlines through so hopefully i can get it done.

Been spending some time in the chatrooms. Interesting people there all over, some are plain crazy Hint:

Also in personal life, recently completed my exams for my university and am now waiting for the results. First year over, moving on to my Second. Been a little hectic but i'll make it through (I hope). Honestly i just want to get education over with and start looking for a job.

So to summarize it, 2 comics, 2 different perspectives and 1 story.

However the problem now is that my other counterpart, getsu12, has ran into some small issues IRL so the comic will unfortunately be postponed untill further notice. However I did finish 1 page of it and will pos it once getsu12 posts his page on his end.

and I have been discussing lately on setting up a a new club or, league as we would like to call it. Now instead of me typing everything i just grabbed it fro his journal and pastedit here since my ability to convey words right now are somewhat of the level of bullshit with a side of chips.



The theme of this league will be fantasy-based. However, instead of individual OCs earning individual points, this league will be about guilds. So it'll be guild competing against guild (you get the picture).


Now in a guild, there are teams. Each team can consist up to a maximum of 5 members. When a team sets out to do a "quest", each member of the team must tell the "story" from his/her OC's point of view that means they must all be in sync then we judge their work based on a few criterias, and we award them a number of points depending on how well they've done. In short, a team will need to discuss it among themselves first and plan out their story accordingly.

There will be a request board for guilds to select their jobs. Should a guild get an individual job (meaning they have no competitor), we will judge their work based on a certain number of criteria and give them points accordingly. However, if two or more guilds go for a job, then may the best guild win. As for these "jobs", we hope that the public give us ideas. Also, guilds must follow the conditions (eg, monsters, location, story, etc) of each job.

How the guild ranks and manages their members is completely up to them. As for character creation, we'll be very lenient as this is a fantasy-themed league (however, no uber-powerful OCs or god-like OCs).

As for tournaments, we'll be operating them just like SDL (sorry, their way is just effective)

What you read above is the basic concept of the league. We're currently looking for volunteers. We would like one volunteer to help draw a map of the world and specific locations (well it doesn't have to be detailed, just the overlook of a city, etc). We would like a few volunteers to help with the judging and such (although that means you're not allowed to participate). And I would like a volunteer to help create a page for this league (since i just suck at this dA thing).

I hope that this league catches the attention of many, and i hope that all those that participate once it's up and running have fun. So come on people let us just stop drawing just for arts sake and try to have some fun while we are at it as well.

Now i'm going to rant so if you don't want to read meaningless emotional anger portrayed in a rather unorganized form of typing look away, point and click at something else, go on.........

Its about a certain deviant and a little incident of how its deemed as "avatar theft". Now every creation of an artist is in respect his or her own work even avatars. Yes that is true but let me ask you this. What if one day a certain deviant found out that someone was using their work as an avatar (or the avatar is in a sense their work itself). How would you respond to this:
A) Tell her respectfully on her front page that that avatar is her property
B) Send her a note concerning the matter and ask her to change it. Give a little sense of discretion
C)Make a journal and provoke your legions of "fans" to go to that poor girl's page accusing her of avatar "theft".

Apparently the deviant chose C. Briliant choice by the way <_<....

Now here is where i question this particular deviant's concept of "theft". Did the accused claim in anyway that the avatar was her sole creation and such? Did the accused say that she actually took it off the deviant's page and claimed it was her own work? The whole gun was jumped and immediately she and a few numerous other deviants went on the girl's page and started 'yelling' at her like like a pack of deranged drunken howler monkeys.
I'm not pointing towards the the avatar "theft" thing but more over the fact on how the situation was handled. What was wrong with sending a note to the accused? Ever considered the avatar was used without knowledge of who it belonged to. Did the person claim it was their own creation? Did that person purposely commit these "crimes" of which you speak off???? Why couldn't you send her a note askin her politely to change the avatar???? Instead of making a journal provoking your "fans" to go and "yell" at her. The whole thing turned into one major bitch fest. Its not like she stole all of that deviant's damned work and started claiming "oh this is mine, i drew this lol lol lol"....
If not then to me the whole concept of "theft" has gone out the window.

Is a little sense of discretion and respect too much these days to consider when handling a situation like this??? as rationality gone out the window and over the cliff?? Apparently it is. And if so i cannot say anything else on the matter. It goes as it goes.

Whew... Thats enough ranting for today. I won't name names since i decided to cut ties with the deviant. Probably won't even notice but thats even better. I think someone would know who i am talking about.

I'm going to go play Gears of War now....

Noticeable many of those i have watched have been slowly improving on their artwork and style. Lol I can just remember the first time i started submitting my works here on deviantart and watching people and making friends. In fact i didn't expect to make any friends but i met some pretty awesome and unique people on here. As the time passed on i noticed many more remarkable improvements done into the works and efforts put into something they really love and /or are passionate about. Which brings me to a question of how far more can I see you guys and gals improve on your works.
Hopefully I can be on deviantart for a long time more to see just to see how much more. How much better can you get and how far can your imaginations reach.

The assignment basically needs me to write a feature story of my choice on any topic i find an interest in. And among all my interest i chose to do a feature on deviantart and the artist behind the deviations, meaning you the artists, and the genre of art you choose as your medium to express your self. What is your source of inspiration and among other factors that define you as an artist and other things you expereince by just being an artist.

In order for me to do this i wish to conduct a note by note interview with the artists to get their opinions as well as define their personality and passion they put into their work. I wanted to set up a chat room but i figured doing the interview note by note would be much neater and will be more of a conversation between friends instead of a formality which i am trying to avoid. And also it would be easier to cite you.

I do hope you all would be willing to help me out and if possible i'll go about the interview one or 2 deviants at a time. And if you would like, i would also be willing to post 1 and maybe 2 of your best deviations on the feature i am writing.

So once again i am asking you all for your help, to write this feature. And once i have compiled the questions i am going to ask, i'll send you each a note. Thank you I am very grateful to you all.

Anyways i finally got my inspiration and posted it up, Happened when i encountered a little moth that tried to attack me when i was cleaning the store room.

CNY was both good and bad. First was the amount of angpow i got. RM500 (USD$ 135) lol. But it was one occassion which was so damn hectic that i am curently dead on my feet. My Grandfather held a gathering where all his family members from bothe sides of his family came to visit him. One big fat extravaganza which me and a few other relatives had to help prepare. When it began most of my family members were handling the guests and other relatives (All 250 of them), while I was stuck ..babysitting.... Damn all my "cousins" were a handfull, yelling screaming and running around the place, one of them was so arrogant he started a fight with the other children puncing kicking cursing and when i broke it off he tried to pick a fight with me (he's 8 years old), even vulgaraties came out. heh..kids, i picked him up by the collar and litterally threw him out of the room (he was attached to my arm dangling in mid air)..he went crying after that, got the parents, they confronted me, they tried to scold me for "bullying their child". This is when it got interesting i started yelling at them both about if their child was that arrogant and so thiick faced as well as rude, i blame the parents for their inability to teach their child any manners and thus i labelled the 2 completely stupid and incapable parents. They were silent and i just told them to take their little brat and leave. At least there was no argument anymore. Then on and on it went the occasion form 9am-12 midnight... Geez...
Well i'm back in my little crib, ranting, i now have another flight tomorrow in the morning (TT_TT I just got back!!) Heh...
I will get these projects done soon. But i'm so tired, even typing hurts. Well good night all.

Oh and alsoi hate using hotel business centre computers RM0.90 /minute (USD$0.27/minute) ...WTF!!!

Okay now i have a proposition for you all, well actually more of a request. Recently my latest pic as seen titled "Pooh" gave me somewhat of an idea of my next few intended submissions. The picture which i spoke of, was based on an actual perosn i knew online who voluntarily given me her pic and i drew it in the form of anime and manga style, which brings me to this proposition i speak of now.

To the first few who are interested , i will draw in anime manga style of your actual faces, inked and coloured (to the best extent of my abilities). All i need from you is photos of yourselves and i will attempt to draw it (Preferably not a whole body shot since that might take longer). This would be the first project i undertook which requires your assistance but also your intrests. If you are interested, just comment so on this journal and provide a link to your photo either here or by sending me a note with the link. But here is the catch, i will only be accepting the first 4 people that are interested and already provided me a picture of themselves to draw. And the time taken to draw them will vary and submission date will not be fixed as i'm not giving myself a deadline. So it could be done tomorrow, next day, next week or even next year (stuff happens).

I really usually dont mind when people start posting in those so called "contrversial pictures". Sure you get the usual people who start flaming it calling it" not art" when most of them have absolutely no idea what art is and when you try to explain it to them from another perspective, they dont listen at all, call it stupid and just ignore whatever else you have to say.That is just being ignorant.

About the comment... Do i detect a sense of sexism or ist it just me? I do not mind for the opinions of others for it is their own but when it draws the lines of racism and/or sexism, thats when it really bites me. Sure the picture has a sense of echiness or in a sense hentainess but still was the comment called for? Do they listen to anything else?

Anyways this is just a rant. I mostly gave up my hopes on the human race already long ago.But i would like to hear your take on the picture and your opinions on it.

I took a small 1 week vacation to Brunei. Just to visit my dad. But i got to say, even tough i may have known this in advance and still come here, i will still continuously acknowledge the fact theat Brunei is one seriously BORING country!!!!

First there is no nightlife. Basically most stores, shopping malls and facilities for that matter closes shop at around oh say 9.30pm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then at 11pm there is absolutely not a single person out on the street anymore, it becomes a dead town right around this time. Superb Pin-drop silence on the streets!!!!

And i'm still here. The hotel i'm living in is nice but rather inconvenient. I finished 3 drawings but am unable to post it since they have no scanner. And it would be impossible to upload it seing that
1) the internet connection sucks...
2)This com is running on an Intell pentium 2 processor!!!
3) I am almost certain that this com has been hit by a bombardment of spyware and viruses considering th amount of error messages and lack of performance.

Now let me enquire something to this topic. What exactly is art to you? What is the definition of art. In my view Art is something that is made to express oneself using any medium and any style possible. So how exactly is anime drawing or manga not an art. Sure its been repeatedly done over and over but how is it not an art. Why are these kind of people so narrowminded on what art is? So much so that they go parading around proclaiming as if they know what it truly is, this kind of people upset me the most as they refuse to even bother understanding what true art is and also they even go as far to upset and mock the artist regardless of the artist feelings. Now is this the kind of civil behaviour people get off on these days?

Then the best part is that they defend themselves by throwing about the lamest excuse to defend themselves or most of the time none at all. And when all is said and done they call the ones who debated with them "retards" and are usually never heard from again. Hehe, notice how the most commonly used word in any internet argument is either "retard" or "childish". lol. I just don't understand why people just cant be more open minded about things anymore. I will never understand people..

I cannot begin to describe on how hilarious (not in the good kind of way) this authors work is. One can only hope that it is a mere parody story and nothing more but if the author believes she is writing a serious fanfic then, i am at lost for words.
I wish to share this with you so you may check it out for yourself and have a few good laughs. I would also like to share this with belzer seeing that he himself is an author.
(However a word of advice : Your IQ may actually decrease after reading this)
