Since DA account can't be deleted I will need to keep the existing account open but I won't be publishing anything under this account. My new account is [link] which will host a range of new works along with selected older ones. I'll be sure to add you on new my watch list. On the last note, I want to thank you for your generous feedback.

Cheers

Annette W.

I just remembered that I need to update my journal (the last one was from Nov 07). Not much creative activity so far since I finished a commissioned painting a week ago (can't believe that I forgot to take a photo of it for myself to keep). What I'll add soon is some of the last artworks I've done before the end of 07. Anyway, what's to be sighed about is that I finally have a house now. And crunch time is a name I give for a combination of stress, assignments, and a clock ticking in the background.

WaiCon is drawing near and exams are here too. I thought I wouldn't have time to do big projects but I still insist on doing something different to present at this year's convention. My plans include:

1. Making bookmarks
a) Metal & beaded bookmarks
b) Tarot cards (10 designs) paper bookmarks

2. (If I have time) Key rings, jewellery (earings, necklaces, pendants, phone charms) featuring my illustrations.

3. (also if I have time) posters of original artworks.

Nonetheless my focus now is on studying and finishing my exams, AND THEN completing my bookmarks!

** WaiCon 2007 is held on 15th and 16th at the Perth Convention Centre**

Back from Holiday to face books again isn't much fun, but this semester I'm determined to put more effort in my study. So consequently, there won't be that many artworks published here. Anyways, enough of that, I want to know your thoughts/reflection on YOUR family table (in terms of meaning or its importance in your personal & family life).

The best feeling is finishing my exams and during the holiday I plan to get back into creativity and do some media experiments for the FF7 doujinshi. Though to me 6 weeks holiday isn't long enough to heal this extreme brain bleed and to unwind myself. At the same time, I crave for the days of 'staring at the wall' and do nothing at all but can't seem to do that. There will always be something I should be doing, and well, hopefully this time I stick faithfully to drawing and painting.

Hi everyone, time for me to update my journal (it's been 6 months already ). I'm surprised how time passes by. I realise when I get older, the faster the time goes. With a start of a new degree, new house (I would say: new address cos I'm still renting), new subgroups activities, and many creative ideas are sort of filling up every minute of my life. With the lesser time I have on my hands, the more I value my doodling time. So far since my last journal entry, I've only added 2 latest illustrations to my galleries. However, since I've re-ignited my passion for photography, I've decided that I will explore this field further which you might expect to see more photographs in my gallery. Recently, I'm interested in experimenting the collaboration of illustrations and photography to create a sense of narrative. I don't know what the outcomes are but it's going to be good fun.

I'm so relieved that I finally managed to compile some of my illustration together for the art book. After scanning some extra drawings, I decided that I will publish a few of them in deviantart. Some are new and the others are quite old (new for me is like 0-2 yrs old illustration and the old ones are like 2 - 10yrs old). It takes me ages to finish a drawing.

While clearing the store room, I came across my early drawings that I did back in 1997 - 1999. I thought they deserve to be published here since they have never been published before. I will put them under the scrap category and that is all for now.

I'm soo lazy at updating...so I guess this is the time when I'm in the mood.

Listening to: 'Dancing at Lughnasa' soundtrack by Bill Whelan
Watching: Nothing as usual
What I'm so hyped up about now: collecting vintage violins (I love anything Antiques)
Stressing about: finding and moving houses

Study:
Being another tertiary student for 5 years, now I'm doing an Arts Events Administration course which is going quite good this semester. I've got 2 days off from tafe which give me time to relax a bit. The course finishes this year, yay, finally I will be getting another qualification. But of course, I'm destined to return back to university next year for another year or 3 YEARS!!

My art practices:
I'm mostly working within the fine arts fields and the works that belong to that category are fibre/textile, drawing, and print works. These works are accessible and scattered on the web. If you would like to find out, just type my name 'Annette Wiguna' in Google. I haven't personally published these artworks online. Aside from that, my interests also include manga drawings that started when I was 6yrs old. Recently, I've joined in a drawing community which is called PenCafe. And since then, the cafe has fueled my motivation and ambition for manga based illustrating to grow stronger than before. I'd like to say that I can't really call myself a manga artist. The style that I've adopted is growing apart from the manga stereotypes and I'd like to think that I did start with a manga style and used it as a stepping stone to discover my own particular characteristic.

The themes that I've often incorporated in my illustrations include the romantic pre-raphaelites and celtic themes; 19th century european era; spiritual, faeries, and surreal themes. The subjects are often figurative, portrait-like and abstract like figures.

My work:
I'm currently involved in comissions with Indonesian architects to produce paintings for their offices. I hate to say that it's going extremely and painfully slow on my part. Other than that, I'm also working with the Tafe Art Gallery and I'm affilliated with local council galleries.

Works on the web:
Some works dated from 1997 and the 'newly' added ones are illustrations drawn during my involvement with PenCafe. I also accept commissions online and locally. To enquire, please send emails to ann.wiguna@gmail.com

***Don't forget to check out my scraps too, they're filling in soon***
