Like so many others who have been inspired by pokemon, I now have a goal involving pokemon, and art. Many have tried and failed to draw every single pokemon. A few have succeeded. Me? Yeah I'm lazy so I'll probably never get the project finished, but I can have fun trying!

I sold all of my pokemon games, except stadium 1&2 and the trading card game one. The ones I sold were: Yellow, Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Hey You Pikachu!, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire, and Pokemon Colosseum. I regret selling each and every one of those, though the least of pinball. It was kind of boring.... Anyway, mostly I regret selling yellow-sapphire. Except for Deoxys, I had every pokemon, including jirachi, mew, and even shiny celebi! (My cousin got me mew and celebi with his gameshark, and I got jirachi from pre-ordering Colosseum.) Well, I decided to buy pokemon diamond, since I was highly interested again after new pokemon came out. Because it is possible to have, but not catch, all 493 pokemon on Diamond (well, it will be once Arceus and Shaymin come out in USA) I wished I could have them all. But, with only diamond, I couldn't come close to getting them all. I couldn't get the ones exclusive to other games (without spending a massive amount of money), or the ones that must be traded to evolve, or the ones that must be traded AND hold an item. And I couldn't get the event ones either. There were three solutions. A. Get an action replay and cheat/hack the game. B. Get the wifi thing which I don't think will even work on my comp, train a bunch of high level pokemon, trade for others (the high levels for legendaries.) Or C. Do without.

Well, I'm a little leery of Action Replay after it made a couple of my gamecube games glitch when I had it before, and the trading would take way to long. I basically went with C. In order to satisfy my craving of pokemon, I decided "hey, I CAN own them all!" And so, I decided to draw them! But, unlike most who have tried this challenge, I will not be trying to draw ONLY the 493, but ALSO every single Unknown (26), both forms of Shellos, both forms of Gastrodon, a male and female Hippopotas, a male and female Hippowdon, all four forms of Castform, all four forms of Deoxys, both forms of Giratina, both forms of Shaymin, both forms of Cherrim, and all forms of any other pokemon that has different forms (NOT counting shinies.) -Please let me know if I missed any!- For a grand total of..... 531!

Sheesh! Ya' think I'll ever get it done? I doubt it..... lol It would take over a year if I drew simply one a day! I've only drawn two so far, and they have been about 5 days about, if I remember right. I'm guessing I'll probably do one a week (I don't like drawing all that much.... I like it but, well, basically it stresses me out for an unknown reason.) Who knows though, I might end up doing three a day at some point! I can almost 100% promise you though that I will not do more than three in one day, and if I do that many, I likely won't do one for a while. If I did one a week, it would take me 10.1 years! This is why I think I'll never get it done! lol But I can try! Besides, I'm not doing this for any reason, other than because I want to. It will be good practice in a few drawing categories too, such as shading (many pokemon don't have shading, but I'm shading all of them, and they are easy to shade,) cartoons/anime, drawing by reference (I NEVER use a reference, which as I started these made me understand why all my art stinks. No reference. I also 99.9% of the time make up my drawings/creatures as I go,) and working with different shapes (since most pokemon are based off of basic shapes.) Since I mostly draw fantasy animals, seeing all the pokemon and drawing them out might help me in other ways too.

There is no particular order I will draw these in. I'm thinking of doing all the legendaries at once, or all the eevee evolutions. Besides those two sets, I had originally planned on starting with whatever pokemon looked easiest and working my way up. Now that I look though, I think they all will be pretty easy, just some might take longer to draw. I've also considered starting with Bulbasaur and just working my way through them. The first generation seems the be the easiest over all, the second getting a little harder, third harder, etc. Of course, in each generation there are easy ones and hard ones. I've also thought about just doing ones I like, but then how will I decide all the others? Plus most of the ones I like are more complicated. Unless I stick to one thing, which I doubt I will, I will start with which ever ones look to be easiest, doing some of the easier but not easy ones that I like mixed in, and then begin working my way through them by national pokedex number. If anyone wants a certain one...
