Its been a long time from you lot and a lot of things have gone down:

I've changed jobs...twice.
Been playing all manner of video games (Goddammit Fallout 3 was awesome)
Actually gotten some artwork done

So, new computer upgrades are in and running well, however, I had to format my system in order to garner some compliance from this beast.

Which means I'm in the process of getting everything back. Yes, bugger.

On the uphand, I feel much more confident about performing overclocking on a fresh system. Far less things to go wrong on the software side of things.

So, bar DA, I'm gonna be out of contact probably until the end of the week when everything sorts itself out.

So yeah, got kind of distracted with CoH and being run into the ground at work.

But, I'm here so its update time.

First the bad news, and I know you're all gonna hate me for this: My scanner, after many long years of loyal service has given up the fight. All art is currently on hold till I can get a new one to fill his position.

Good news: Up to the eyeballs with cash and the government owes me 500 bucks thanks to a skills shortage area incentive payment. New scanner inbound as soon as that hits.

I'm sketching like mad on the bus to and from work. After these ninja pics are done I'm gonna see about doing some art for all my peeps in the Guardian Angels and the rest of the Shield of Paragon (fuck I love CoH. People put some real effort into their guilds). That said, I MAY be signing myself away...meh it happens.

Aaaand finally, Mucho computer upgrades to be purchased on Friday. Gonna kiss the day goodbye as a I tinker and overclock like mad.

Aside from that? Not much else is happening.

OK, I should really explain the title. No, I'm not leaving DA, no I'm not gonna go and top myself and no, my computer isn't going to die on me.

Though there WILL be a reason for me disappearing between 0200 tomorrow and some goddamn time on monday morning.

Its a double XP weekend on City of Heroes. I'm up to my armpits in beer, the internet is back in action (after a brief scare, but we won't go into that) and I'm all set to go. Just gotta get work out of the way now...

So if I'm out of contact between now and monday, don't panic. Just send more beer!

Also, I said I was gonna post one more sketch before I started ninja-ing people, but I kind of got carried away. Look forward to it!

Good news ladies and gentlemen, I've finally cleared up a huge item off my "to do" list.

The Perfect Grade Wing Zero Custom is done. Like I said in the dev comments, while it was a fun kit (perfect grades generally are fun), it wasn't nearly as well designed as the Strike was. Being a later model kit I'd say the Strike was better thought out.

Anywho, with that monster out of the road I can now start thinking about sketching with more resolve. Gonna post one more artwork before I get cracking on giving you VERY patient people the ninja treatment. Thanks for waiting by the way!

Also wanna give a shout out to the people on the Virtue Server of City of Heroes (well any that find this page anyway). Beer to you for being some of the most awesome people I've met in an MMO thus far (t'was a welcome change from RFO where everyone was on an ego trip).

Heading off to TAFE again soonish. or rather, every Tuesday until mid September. Should be a welcome pause in the middle of my work life.

Its nothing serious, I just canceled my subscription to RF Online.

And now you say "WHAT THE FUCK?! The Midget giving up an MMO? What madness is this?!"

The answer is simple: I'm not paying to play an MMO where the developers clearly aren't taking the US/Euro distributors seriously. Notice here that I'm not blaming Codemasters at all because honestly, their hands were tied.

There was the language barrier to contend with as well as (probably) the " yeah, ok silly foreigner we've let you flap your gums now bugger off" thing. Hell they didn't even have coding rights unlike, well lets be honest here, EVERYONE ELSE!

On the up hand I may ACTUALLY get some art finished and God forbid POSTED!!!

The android slowly paces after its prey as an injured hacker scurries into a corner of the room, whimpering in fear. As its mechanical pursuer calmly closes the gap, a spiky-haired figure drifts into the room and stands beside his angular, sinister looking comrade.

he speaks:

"Akujin takes it quite personally when you tinker with his combat protocols without its -or MY- permission"

The hacker stammers and stutters " W-with all d-due respect sir, Had I have k-k-known that this was YOUR PCA (personal Cybernetic Assistant), I would've N-NEVER attempted something as foolish as hacking into it!"

"your 'tinkering' had it playing with a stuffed animal-" The spiky-haired one's eyes narrow as he speaks, his voice calm and precise. The android next to him simply lets out a metallic growl. "This, however, is of no real importance, well at least not to me."

The man with the hair turns to his vicious looking ally and says "Akujin, do with him what you will. Just make sure his compatriots know that we are NOT to be trifled with, understood?"

The machine slowly nods and looks back at the hacker, who had by this time well and truly wet himself. The spiky haired man walks to the door and pauses for a moment. He glances back and smiles, saying"you two have fun" before walking out the door.

The machine looks back at his prey as the mono-eye pulses slightly. A large blade extends from its forearm as it says "looks like its curtains for you, meat-sack"

The hacker stutters and stammers before the sounds of a of an agonizing scream and the sound of splashing blood fill the night sky...

That was probably the most long-winded way of saying "I'm back" that anyone's ever thought of. Hmmm...I should get an award for that

The time has come (the Walrus said) for me to do a reformat. My system, while still somewhat stable, is starting to give me the shits. Ever since my little Malware incident (I'm looking at you ~Mr-Ed), I've noticed a sharp decline in my computer's online capablilty.

Example: before this little shitstorm, my ping in BF2142 was almost always around the 50-80 mark with the odd spike here and there. At the moment, its sitting at around 300-500 occasionally spiking to 1000.

So tomorrow I'm gonna be out of reach for a good chunk of the day.

OK quick update from yours truely:

That Perfect Grade Strike Gundam is finished. A grand total of at least 16 hours work was needed in order to get it anywhere NEAR finished (will post pics when I can get hold of a decent camera). The scary thing is, I've also got another PG in my sights as well. Obviously I'm an idiot...

On Supreme Commander, I can say only three words: Need more RAM. This game, while awesome, is a real system hog. So this is obviously gonna cost me. Bugger.

Also I mentioned that one of my characters in Guild Wars was trying aiming for the title of "Incorrigible Ale-Hound" which involved spending 10 000 minutes drunk. Well for your convienience I have a nifty little message in my header to keep all of you (that really give a crap) updated. Arn't I nice?

Art is well...not moving at the moment. Yes I'm lazy, sue me.

Not much to say apart from that.

So here goes.

Christmas and New Years were interesting for me. My little cocktail party went quite well, much fun was had by all attending (though I was hoping for a bigger crowd...). Things got interesting later on when my brother went and broke his foot (of all things) walking to the kitchen...

He spent four days walking on it before he went to the doc and found out that it was broken. The poor sod now has to spend all of his time at home mooching about an playing video games while his foot mends. Well shit.

New years was...well, kinda quiet in all honesty. I got drunk (though thats kind of a staple for me) and I can't remember most of it but like xmas eve, I woulda loved to see more people there.

Anywho, As you probably saw from the info at the top, I recently got into an MMO called RF Online. I'm really digging it. Its got the whole Sci-fi element to it that I like. In all honesty however, any MMO with mecha in it has my vote of confidence four times over.

Art wise, I've got to say that I'm very sorry for not posting anything new in the last two or so months. Measures have been taken to correct this. New stuff is on the way. Don't panic.

All in all, things arn't to bad. I'm gonna get back to photoshopping now. People are starting to get concerned (I'm looking at you, Tak)

A very bad idea when you've been drinking beer since you got there.

And we all know what happens when we mix beer and wine.

Well friends, it appears that my favorite MMORPG, Guild Wars supports my type of rampant booze consumption. If only digitally.

So as it stands I have a new goal for myself: to earn the title of "Incorrigible Ale-Hound"

This involves spending 10000 minutes drunk. Easy in real life, not so when dwarven ale costs 200 gold a pop.

Oh so much shineyness to be had in the new installment and it continues to remain free to play unlike SOME mmorpgs *cough-WoW-cough*.

Ok enough of my gaming related rants.

Got hit with yet another migraine at work on friday afternoon. Major suckage. Hope I don't have to repeat the experience for a long time.

Went over to ~smashleigh 's place and got well and truely toes up. Good fun especially after the said migraine. Spent most of the day training ol' smash on the finer points of AC construction in AC: Formula Front and watching Firefly. Great way to waste a day in my opinion.

Finished Rise of Legends. Interesting RTS, but the story could've used some work. (heh, and I said the game related stuff was over. Silly me)

Really haven't got much to say apart from that. Gonna get me a haircut today. I feel scruffy.

Ok so 6 MORE embarrasing habits.

1. I have a tendancy to do really stupid things while very, very drunk (latest example was using a short stack of pancakes as a pillow)

2. Its impossible for me to have a clean desk for any longer than about 3 days. Cds and random bits of paper tend to build up over time.

3. I tend to kill preppies. Force of habit.

4. I leave bottle tops (beer ones of course) everywhere.

5. I keep next to no money in my wallet. I figure that theres an ATM close by anyway so why bother?

Ok so Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. I can sum it up with this:

Its about half an hour of story and 70 minutes of people hitting each other with big, sharp, shiney pieces of metal. Gonna have to play through FF7 again (there goes my social life!)

Finished watching GitS: SAC. Damn good series. Was deep enough to make you think but had enough kickass to keep you watching. Will have to buy the second series and anything else that comes out after that. Shirow, you rock big guy!

Finished TES: Oblivion. Needless to say I'm wondering if Sean Bean is getting sick of dying all the time. Poor bugger's getting type cast a lot.

That pretty much sums it up for me. Hanging out for the uber shiney edtion of Guild Wars: Factions. gonna be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong night when I finally get my hand on it.

Also as many of you may NOT know, I have been sheduled to change jobs for some time now. This occoured on thursday with Customs House Brisbane accepting my application. Damn I'm stoked about that one. Will be starting this new job on the 7th of May. Until then however I'm on two weeks leave. Gonna get well and truely wasted during then.

a few things I should really mention: Firstly, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is really damn purty. Secondly, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is really damn purty. Thirdly, Legion of Boom is well...er...really damn purty?

So six embarassing habits I have.

1. I talk to myself. If you think thats crazy then you should see the way I look at my chef's knife after 11 hours of work.

2. I collect empty beer bottles. Its not that I do it as a hobby, its just plain laziness. At one point I had as many as 30 sitting on my desk. I only threw them out after it got too hard to sketch!

3. I treat beer almost as a religion.

4. I treat Armored Core almost as a religion.

5. I routinely wear camoflague on a day to day basis. Really though I have four different kinds of camo pants sitting in my cupboard. I figure if you can't store ammunition in it then whats the point?

6. I use trance to get me from that "oh God I've just woken up" stage to the "ok I'm awake now" stage. Nothing beats a good whack of bass to get your engine running in the morning.

First and formost I have developed a rather vorocious love of Reggae. Nothing is better than wasting an entire day doing nothing while listening to reggae.

Secondly, nothing beats five beers after work.

Finially, I have noticed (or rather I've begun getting rather picky over) the amount of effort that goes into my artwork steady declining. I don't really know, it may be just me but I have this horrible guilty feeling when I look at [link] and then look at my latest stuff. Rest assured I will be more than sorting this out with deviations to come. I cannot stand dealing with the feeling of knowing that I could've done so much better with a particular artwork.

I guess its the budding chefy perfectionist rising within me but I feel I must better myself. More after I have done so.

Seriously though, I have most definately had better birthdays than I did this time around. Wasn't the fact that I was working, or that it was a rather uneventful day (though starting the day with blueberry pancakes was nice). It was the fact that despite it being a quiet day at work I STILL did eleven fucking hours.

Well that and I missed Samurai Champloo. That got me really angry. Shoud really remember to request my birthday off in future.

Though I guess it wasn't all bad. I got well and truely hammered when I got home. That and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was on. Damn good watch even if it was for the umpteenth time.

Not much to say apart from that. Gotta go to work soon. Knowing my luck I'll probably cop a bollucking for not finishing the pesto (despite the fact that I was rather short on a primary ingredient, thus hindering my ability to do so).

Hansa Pils: Probably one of the greatest beers ever exported by Germany. Not for the fact that its cheap or fashionable but for the sole reason that it comes in big, fuck off half litre bottles. You can even buy cases of them. Purely awesome!

FLCL: To those who a groaning and saying "awww gawd not more anime rants" I have only this for you: Go fuck yourself with a Redwood. FLCL is awesome, but I can't really figure out why specifically. Probably has something to do with the really random dialog. Now this isn't End of Evangelion random. This like really off the wall "ok so where the hell did that come from?!" kinda random. That and it has mecha. Mmmm mecha...

I'm not whinging about the lack of space, I mean 30 gigs is a rediculous number of songs. No, what has me at worried is that there are exactly 1987 songs on it - the same number as the year I was born in. That is some creepy shit right there.

Anyway, today being Australia Day, pretty much every single aussie (except for the annoying, preachy "alcahol is the devil's invention" kind of people. Yes we get them here as well) is doing their part for their country. Namely, getting very drunk and making a total arse out of themselves. Its days like these that I'm proud to be an Australian.

My reason for saying this is that at the moment there are at least 40 people (myself included) dancing around a christmas tree in Guild Wars.

But then again, christmas has always been one of those seasons where we forget about what others think about us and just go with it (though I see no difference with now and any other time of the year). Staff christmas parties are one good example. We all get blind drunk, make a total arse out of ourselves and risk being fired at least 4 times during the night or at least until our bosses are too drunk to care.

I was no exception to the rule on monday night. after spending a good four hours on a christmas river cruise drinking beer the whole evening, I staggered off the boat into another bar and kept drinking till my cash ran out (this was about two or three in the morning. Can't quite remember). Anyway much fun was had that evening. Bring on Christmas eve and new years (someone tell me your preping the watermelon bomb). Much to do now. Have to do some competition art for ~takara13 , a christmas artwork as well as my usual swag of sociopaths in suits, mechs and dudes in kickass stealth suits. Well that and playing guild wars and watching the entirety of the matrix movies.

That's kinda what my job is doing to me at the moment. I'm presently in the middle of an eleven day stretch. my best was ten days. Holy shit I will be tired. But still ready to get majorly boozed at the same time. I love my disregard for my frame sometimes.

In other bad news, something terrible has happened. Something truly awful that has scarred my to the core. I dropped my PSP. The sound no longer works. I am a state of panic. God, why me?

In other GOOD news, Black and White 2 is consuming my life. So much time can be wasted playing that game that it hurts. Also in good news I've finially found the need to buy a new sketchpad. The old one is full. Admittedly with half finished sketches that I am determined to finish and post on DA. but that will take some time, especially if you account for BW2 chewing up all my time.

If you thought Doom 3 was scary, If you thought that AVP2 was frightening then my God your going to soil yourself at this game. Undoubtedly it's one of the best gaming experiences I've had since Half Life 2.

It has on more than one occasion had me rather concerned as to what the hell is going on around me. In both quiet times and in combat. Speaking of combat I don't think I've ever been flanked and flushed out with grenades so many times in all my years of gaming. Your enemies will perk up when they see your flashlight blazing away in the darkness. They listen for your footsteps and lash out at you with riflebutts and sidekicks when you get too close. The awsome thing is that you can do the same. Slide tackles and Scissor kicks are just some of the melee move you can muster.

Then shit gets wierd. you hear voices, whisperings in the darkness, some kid giggling at your immenent doom from the shadows. You start seeing flayed skeletons laying in pools of blood, mutilated bodies flying through glass and then theres that damn kid in the red dress. At all times your heart is racing, especially when your flashlight runs out of juice...

All together an awsome frigging game.

Working in a pissant little kitchen which is half the size of a prison cell in near 40 degree (celsius) heat with no working air conditioning and being absolutely hammered with orders till 1630. May sound pretty bad but it gets WORSE! At 1630 I got hit with a migraine.

Now many of you will be saying "migraine, big whoop" which is rather understandable considering the condition doesn't sound tha bad, but for all those that know me well enough you will know that when I get a migraine it constitutes visual distortions, savage headaches, nausia and vomiting. Not exactly something you want to be experiencing when your at work. So that practically killed my entire evening of planned gaming/photoshopping. On top of that I've found out that as of next year Smart will no longer be making their awsome little roadster anymore. How lame is THAT!?

Now to get a little more positive: I bought the entire series of Trigun which in essence is very bombish, Guild Wars is still damn fun ( I have a new ranger character now!) I love my PSP to bits and I'm freaking loaded and on top of all that I'm going out and getting absolutely slaughtered tonight!

Huzzah for me!

Anyway, I'm working on a little piece of artwork which I will have posted within the near future as well as the umpteen ideas churning through my head. In the meantime I'll have to find a new car to obsess over (pity, I really like the Smart Roadster too *sniff*).

Hehe yup I decided to get blind drunk on the strongest substance I know and It appears that I succeeded - almost too well. I can't remember half of what I did last night (allthough I am remembering bits of it). So for now I sit here photoshopping, listening to Armin Van Buuren and drinking OJ wondering just what the hell happened.

Anyway, enough of my hungoverish bitching...and on to work-related bitching (sorry about this guys. I know I'm not one for all this angst but I need to get this crap off my chest). People. My stance on people has shifted from confusion and wonder to sheer homocidal rage. I wish to see every stupid person eradicated from the face of the earth, preferably by running them off a cliff (just like Walt Disney film makers did in 1958 with lemmings). Ok my bitching session is over. Now on to the more positive stuff.

PSP = the shit. It's bloody awsome. It takes the DS and wipes the floor with it. If I'm within range of a wireless router I can surf the frigging internet on it! HOW COOL IS THAT?! Not to mention the graphics are bloody awsome for a handheld system. Truely the sex.

Guild Wars = the shit. Nothing like wasting five hours wandering around critter-bashing wearing the skull of some random 9ft tall bipedal cat like creature for a helmet in bright green armour (Normally not my colour but apparently the guild I'm in has a dress code. Why it's green I don't know. The only colours on the cape are yellow and black)

Armin Van Buuren = the shit. Great doof if ever I've heard it. Need proof? I've bought two albums within a week.

Finally New Speaker System = the shit. I can here my music from the bus stop while the system is only turned up 1/3. Hehe I am mister Noise Pollution.

That about sums it up for me. New art coming soon (I'm working on it right now). Unfortunately its not the smart mech. The smart mech is kinda kicking my arse at the moment.

On any day like today (where the temperature ranges between rediculiously cold and cold not to mention slightly rainy), many would suppose that people, being sensible creatures, would stay indoors, keep warm and generally hybernate with the odd few braving the weather to go out.

What many would NOT expect would be 80-odd absolutely daft people braving the weather to eat at an OPEN AIR RESTERAUNT that yours truly just happens to work at on a day that is a textbook definition of bleak!

Hehe sorry. Back to the topic at hand: I'm really hanging out for the sony PSP. not only is it just the bomb, it also has my next fix of Armored Core within easy reach. More mindless mech tweaking while I'm waiting for dessert orders to come in on friday and saturday nights!

In other news, hope you enjoyed my new artwork. More on the way including a lucasing of one of my older works, more stompy goodness as well as an artist's rendition of Akujin. Should be good unless I get mindlessly sidetracked by the games and CDs I'll be buying tomorrow. Hehehe seems pretty likely in all honesty. Not much to say apart from that. Gonna go watch a doco on Hiroshima now.

Yeah ah... thanks Akujin stop with the crazy talk already.

Thats right I'm now on a brand new, absolute MONSTER of a system and I'm pleased to say that I'm gonna be on DA for a good long while now in order to make up for my absence. I'll have more art as soon as I can secure another copy of photoshop (or get my old one back). Also you may have noticed that I have named my system. Sounds an odd thing to do. Is an odd thing to do. if you have a problem with it come and see me......and expect your ass in the mail 3-5 days afterward.

Akujin while damn close to it is still not perfect. He requires a last minute ocular input chip upgrade ( I need to buy a new graphics card) that I should be installing tomorrow night. At the moment He's operating blind(poor bugger).

Anyway enough rantish stuff from me. I'll finish with these words: I'm back Bitches.

Good news: The home network is up and running so that all the computers in the house have access to ADSL via wireless networking, I have a new pic to post on DA with two more on the way.

Bad news: due to some inexplicable software conflict (probably somewhere in Internet Explorer) I can't access the shared internet connection which is PISSING ME OFF no end. Which in turn means that I'm still without ready access to DA (woe is me).

I'm trying to fix it ASAP but at the moment it looks as though I'm still a DA hermit

Saturday: Epic. Two eighteenths in one. the order of my evening in condenced form went a little something like this: Live bands, drinking, more live bands, drinking, assisting with last bits of rave setup, LOTS of drinking, dancing around like a prat for 2 hours, passing out on the lawn, more dancing around like a prat for a half hour, chillin' on the lawn and then finally leaving at 0030 hrs. Went back to ~wraith11 's place and crashed.

Sunday Morning: Devmeet. Chilling out at southbank for four hours trying to recollect my thoughts into a coherant order. Subway was the first REAL meal I had since 1300 hrs the previous day.

Sunday Night: ~00Cam 's party. Drank a bucketload and got plenty happy. Kept my eye on ~Hamish-Ferret and ~wraith11 who were looking a little shabby. Crashed out there and got a lift home with Wes.

All round I'm rather proud of the fact that, despite consuming quite a lot of booze and getting rather blasted on endorphins, I dod not make a single sacrifice to the porcelin god. Right now I need some sleep
