I swear this year has been about waiting, I feel like thats all i've done. Wait, wait, wait, and Howard said he was trying to teach me patiance haha! *sigh* I've made a few friends, but because theres only been a few, i'm afraid i'm going to cling to them and smother them to death it sucks, and some of them have gone away for a few months so there goes that for now.

Don't get me wrong, life has been getting ALOT better, but i'm just getting a little bit restless and sad now, maybe it's with the holidays coming up, and being the end of the year you tend to reflect on everything. I'm alos thinking that after my final pic for 2009 is up, I may take an art break, like a few weeks. I've been working so hard and had so much inspiration for art that I think i've burned myself out a bit (friends warned me that might happen) and now with no motivation for my hobby i'm lacking motivation for anything.

Oh goodie, i'm even lacking motivation to finish this journal entry, lucky me.

Well, on a more postive note, i've don exactly 20 pictures from this year, so that's pretty good, I just need to save up money and work on getting it printed and sold. Again, I wish I had a team or a partner (with me, I have some long distance) it's really hard trying to do all this on your own. Right now I feel like crawling into a hole and sleeping for a few weeks, which isn't good at all, I don't get it, two days ago I was so happy! Now what the hell has happened? I guess i'm just running out of steam to do stuff, but at the same time if I stop doing stuff I get bored, it's a bad cycle.

I'm sorry, this has turneed into my "have a winge spot" where I feel I can truly express my feelings. There is so much I want to do! but I don't want to do it alone, which is why making friends has been such a high priority but sofar has not yet gotten the best results.

I dunno, mabe I just complain too much and should just be greatful for what I do have

I'll prolly update a counter happy-go-lucky-journal to this in a few days

Well, i've figured out that i've still got emotional problems from some stuff that happened 2 years ago that I shoved under the carpet, so i've gone back to church and hanging out with more people around Melbourne so i'm not so alone. I like my job now, still pays not much and isn't the most glamourous but hey, its really not that bad. I need to stop eating fast foods, its bad for me.

On a artwork related note, I am now the artist for 2 websites ([link] run by and [link] run by ) I've been working solidly on my first parasol picture and its taking FOREVER, the deadline was yesterday and it's not done yet! I'm not telling you which one it is it's gonna be a surprise

I'm back! Back to working on commissions/projects (still finishing Julias now which is taking AGES, ALMOST DONE!) I've decieded I need to make a work schedule so I don't spend all my time in front of the computer. Weekdays will be like the normal "work week" so I will work on commissions Monday-Friday, the time of day depends on what time i'm working that day (but as I averagly work 11-3 then I will commission at night) and not for too long at a time. Friday night-Sunday night will be my projects time, for what I want to do, now on average I don't work weekends but I do sometimes so again my time will vary. This weekend doesn't count as I am soooo far behind in commissions I need to catch up before I get into a steady routine.

Also I went out last night, YAYS! to Youth group, and met lots and lots of lovely people who are willing to model for me so i'm catching up with them tomorrow again (YAYS!)

Now, parasol project, which I will be starting before the month is over, and yes, I couldn't help myself, there are now 12 elements i'm using for this, so when it's done I may as well make it a calendar, and I think for the big posters I might have to split them, maybe, we'll see.

I broke up with Clinton, why? because I am not ready to be in a relationship right now, my last one left me questioning alot about myself, questions that never got answered, and the long distance didn't help. I loved him, I REALLY REALLY did, but sometimes the right thing to do isn't the easiest, i've lost him, and that is hard to take, but I couldn't do it anymore, the only way it could have worked was for me to move back to Perth, and that is not an option, I have not been called to be in Perth, I know that now. But I will miss him, miss him so much, I'll be single for a few years I think, just to sort my emotions out. As for art, oh, I will do it, and I will do my commissions and my projects... just... gimmie time right now.

I feel really bad, broken 2 hearts and it's not even been 6 months, what is wrong with me? I'm staying away from dating, I don't want to hurt anyone else. Maybe when i'm an adult I'll think of entering the game again, but for now... I need to know who I am as a person.

This Hiatus may last a day, or it may last 2 weeks, I will still be online to check emails, but I just need a break.

Now, it's kind of a wierd concept, i've always wanted to do an elemental based project (well okay I have done one once but I think it's crap now) and now that my artwork is about 100x better than it was in 2005 i'm revisiting the idea.

Awhile back (June 13 to be exact) some friends and I did a photoshoot, we did several pictures like this [link] and it inspired me to do a elemental series of girls with parasols, and wings, coz, I like wings

It's gonna take me ages, and prolly even longer than planned as I keep adding in elements. Once i'm done, I will try and heavily promote them and make products out of them, they will be submitted individually and also as a group poster. Each model will be sent (depending on my cash flow) a print of each picture and (again depending on the $) a print of the group poster.

It is very hard to find stock photos with lax rules. Most of them say "dA and nothing else!!!!" so I can hardly use them when my goal is to start SELLING artwork! Sofar i've only found about 3 stock places I feel comfortable using. So now I just take my own photos. But I can't do that right now as ALL MY MODELS ARE IN PERTH!!!!!!! So i'm going to be mooching some of pics (shes awesome ^.^)

As you may have noticed i've been doing alot of fairies recently (well okay 3 but they take ages!) and they have all been water themed, they now have their own place in my gallery "Water Fairies" soon I am going to start doing some "Flower fairies" suggestions welcome, just don't be offeneded if I don't use them I'm also doing some free portraits for my friends as I believe I can commission them easier than any other style.

My best friends fiances sister is commissioning me to do a portrait of her that will be my first commish, and i'll prolly do it really cheap as it's my first one

Not the exact same thing, I'm quite happy with the style, but i'm going to research different fashions from different countries at different times and draw them using either Kabiya, Liby, Ashlea or Dani (new character) for some countries (the ones I have more fun with) I will do an image of each character. This includes fantasy and made up stuff aswell (such as fairy Liby) but I thought on a whole It would be fun. I have no idea what to name the project yet, any ideas?

And to business, my mum has taken it upon herself to be my business manager (shes good at that sort of stuff) and we've been collaborating ideas to get my stuff sold. I've given up on trying to get commisions or sell prints on dA, it's just not going to happen, so i'm focussing on selling my stuff not via the internet. Mum and I are planning on launching "Shadowhardt Designs" (is that a stupid name? oh well i'm keeping it) around christmas where we can send my pictures on products to friends and family to get it out there, so i've been busy working on "images that sell" because they seem to work better than what I do for my own satisfaction (and take half the time to produce).

I'm going to open up another dA account for my anime fanart and chibis so i can just have my proper work on this one, i'll let you know when thats up and running if you want to watch that (it won't be updated as frequently) but the chibi images from the calendar will stay as I like them and think they can still sell (maybe)

So yeah, i've not gone inactive, it's just been the oddest time and I am working on heaps fo stuff (which is code for starting something getting bored then starting something else) Oh, and i'm also closing art trades and requests and will not be entering any contests for the rest of the year, i'm too busy with my own work right now. I also need a buiness card..... hms lots to do, but my mums prett good at "selling" my stuff which is good And look out for a website i'm planning on one of those aswell.

I moved the catsout of the laundry into the avery outside, it's like their own little playpen in there so I hope they like it. They're outdoor cats but i'm not sure if I want to let them out of that avery as I'm afraid they might get killed on the road or run away, I just like knowing where they are and that they're safe.

I think I lost my passion for anime awhile ago, I mean, I read on here all my fellow dA anime artists talking about their favourite animes or manga, but I don't watch or read them, so really, people used to say "are you into all that stuff then?" and the answer is no, I find animes lacking in decent storys, the only one I found actually any good was Death Note. All the others I just like because they remind me of my childhood.

I still draw chibis, mainly because after a week of working solidly on one picture, it's good just to sit back and produce a picture in an hour start-to-finish. I'm also doing a mini project of desiging Liby as a digimon (mainly because I couldn't sleep one night and had no internet so I started it) I may upload those sketches later.

I mean, the pink worked for anime, but i'm drawing a realistic picture of her now, and it's just not working with the pink, so some reason, purple and blue seem easier to pass off as almost "natural looking" but Liby's pink hair is looking way to cartoony still for my liking. Well, as most of you will probably know, our good friend Elies has left deviant art. A fact which has got me thinking about dA in general. Don't worry i'm not leaving aswell, I don't feel like i'm done with it yet, however I do feel like I do nothing with my artwork besides submit it on here, and most of it has never left digital form even. I'm thinking I should start doing more with my artowork rather than just submitting it on here (and facebook) even if I don't make money off of it, just to get it out there and do something, anything with it. My mum keeps telling me I should enter art contests and stuff but i'm too scared, i've seen some websites where you have to be "accepted" and i'm too scared to even try because I feel i'm not good enough...

I should at least print out my pictures and put them on my own wall. Or give them to people as gifts... maybe. I've already drawn a picature for my mum for mothers day and its currently been put onto a cutsom made bag for her, unfortunatly I can't submit this image until mothers day is over as mum can't see it, so i can't submit it anywhere . I'm also trying for more, um, less anime-like images, because except for on here, people so "eh" at anime art, so i'm trying to do more "digital painting" style works, even though they take forever. I'm also thinking of making my chibis into keychains, I'm still brainstorming I guess, I just want to do more with my art.

well, it's officialy and more public now, i'm moving state at the beginning of next year. Right now I live in Western Australia, and i'm moving to Melbourne Victoria in the east for 2 years. Because I need to study Bowen therapy over east, in all three eastern states. Also my mum and step-dad are moving over there permenatly, and i'm only going because my boyfriend has to study away for two years aswell. Sooo yeah, its alot to take in.

Hello all, just thought i'd right a journal on where my life is at. I told a few people that I was studying graphic design at tafe, well I was, I dropped it. Why? because it was so annoying, the stuff they wanted me to learn put a strangle hold on my imagination and made me so down that I got sick (that happens when i'm sad) So I deceided to drop into something else (fashion or photography or something that interested me more) but everything was full! EVERYTHING! I had to drop tafe all together until the start of next year.

So right now i'm working two casual jobs and trying to get a full time job. I may take up tafe hobby courses to learn new artish skills. Because ulimatley I want people to just be able to commision me and I make stuff or draw stuff for a living, but I guess I need to get better first because no such luck yet...

All in all, I have no idea what i'm doing in life or what I really want right now, maybe I can open up my own ulternate clothing shop, because really, I hate studying and don't need a career.

I still have my family and my Howie tho

first off hope you all had a good Christmas with lots of presents and parties and such, second hope you all have a good new years as we say good bye to 2008.

Wow... I survived my first year out of high school and my first semester at TAFE.. scary. Next year I shall be studying cert 4 in Graphic Design, again scary, I'm not even sure it's what I want to do anymore, I mean I thought it was, but after doing the very very bare basics of design and only "just passing" I'm wondering if it's the right thing. Although I have decided, if I don't like it I'm going to switch to photography the next year instead *nods*

you may have noticed, but my last few deviations haven't exactly been artwork have they, just photos I've taken and a "my work so far" thing, this is because, although I have so many pictures I want to do, I just can't get inspired to draw them, I mean really, i sit down to draw and just nothing comes! it's been like this since I finished TAFE, i think it sucked the creativity out of me. I've still been slowly working on my manga :immortal-discord: which only has a page and a bit done >_> I don't know how much will be ready by January. I do have a list of images I want to draw before I dedicate all my time to that.

If you enter just send me a note telling me, but of course if your on my watch list i'll see it anyways .

So, after spending 4 hours last night waiting and waiting in the hospital they finally wheeled me into a nice cold and drafty room, stuck a IV drip in my arm and gave me some gas to make me fall asleep and then cut out my wisdom teeth. I should note that my wisdom teeth have been so impacted, infected and growing the wrong way so this is a good thing. The bad thing is I can't swollow, my mouth hurts and I can't eat solid foods, its like my braces all over again. I also can't sleep, woke up at 6 this morning and proceeded to draw for an hour until I got a bit dizzy, and before I do anything I have to wait for mum to wake up as I have no idea where my tablets are or where food I can eat is, plus all the rooms are locked (my lil bro has autism so we lock him out of food and other stuff at night so we actually have food the next day) and mum has my keys as she drove my car last night . I didn't get home till 7.30 last night wen I arrived at 12.45, also hadn't eaten since 6 that morning as your not allowed food for a general anestetic. so yeah thats my update on news, but it means that all my surgeries are finally over and done with .

I went to a mouth surgeon person lady today to have my wisdom teeth looked at, and like i already knew all four of them need taking out in order to stop the frequant bouts of agony I get in when they flare up, this means I will be all puffy for a week fairly close to my 18th birthday, joy. Beofre that however I need to get my ingrown toenail (which has been bugging me for 4 years) cut out, joy, no walking for a week.... aaaaanyways

aaaaand I hope I spelled Hiatus right

Well, basically this means that after I have done my chibi calender I won't do anymore chibis until i'm satisfied with my other areas of art, after the calender is done chibis will be commisions only or thrown in if I get really bored. So if anyone wants me to do them a chibi of their characters you have until i'm done with my calender (estimated finish time September) I may also do chibis as gifts. This applys to my watchers only.

and yeah I haven't really done much in the way of setting up commisions, at the moment they only chibi and I guess will officially be starting in September, sofar I can make a rough price list

Also have a list of drawings the need completing, but again, I just can't be bothered, Januarys calender page is almost done, but thats drained me as i've had so much trouble with it sofar, plus its been a very long and very hard day and my feet are totally killing me. But yay! I have the day off tomorrow and I don't have to get up , but I will have to clean and vacuum my room blaaaah maybe I should get another hobby besides drawing, I don't wanna get sick of it....
