I've seen some amazing lanterns online and here on Deviant that others have made useing simple drilled holes in gourds and I've been attempting something similar useing a pumpkin carving dremel tool. However I'm not sure its powerful enough though. Ok so you know in the section of the craft store were they have all the floral flowers and plastic fruit how sometimes they have those little birds used to decorate wreaths or floral centerpeices at weddings and stuff and sometimes they have butterflys with the wings made out of painted feathers?? so... haven't been up to too much lately. Mostly reading the Temeraire series as obvious from my last to art posts, and working on some horse portraits. i brought in "Junior's portrait" to the barn and the barn owner liked it and offered to let me set up a booth at the next horse show (in april i think) so i could take commissions from people, and maybe i could do a nice discount for the winner of the show on a painting of thier horse.

zazzle seems alot more fun as you can change the layout of the store eazily to look what you want it to look like, were as i always had trouble doing that to my cafepress stores (never been excellent at that html code stuff).

I also have been arrangeing my art into different catagory folders as i realise this new option recently and thought it was great and would make stuff easier to find. i plan on takeing down some of my old stuff or putting it in to my scraps folder soon as well.

I am really looking forward to this year to see what it will be like, because I was told in numberalogy cycles I will be starting over at 1 this year and that will mean good things for me. Also in Chinese astrology I am an ox and this year is the year of the ox if I am not mistaken. I don't really know if that will mean good luck for oxes or not but I hope so! Its been a good year so far anyways.

After this weekend though I am going to make myself up a work schedule for my Senior Project, so I don't start slacking off on it. I added some photos of monkey climbing in the Christmas tree last night, I am thinking of eventually makeing a cat calander with photos of our cats, it may not be ready till this time next year though :p

course I've always meant to make a calander useing my fantasy themed art too but I've never gotten to that either, but hopefully I'll have some time once I graduate.

well at least there is somthing to be happy about, I sold one of my little drums at the Student Art Show at Saint Francis! I have never sold anything before at that show anyways. It was priced pretty high too, because last time I sold a drum the person who bought it told me I had priced them too low, still I wasn't really expecting it, and it was quite a pleasant suprise. It does kind of drive me crazy not knowing who it was that bought it though, I don't know why it just makes me imensly curious!!!
Oh well, I will probably never find out.
