Since then, I gave up horses completely. I wouldn't even touch one. I locked up all my horse equipment, put away all my statues, paintings, pillows with horses, everything. Now that the day of his death is just around the corner, I have been thinking about him more and more and decided that I wanted to clean his old equipment. So I pulled it out of storage and it was covered in mold, the leather was cracked and hardened...it was gross, but I cleaned it up and hung it in my computer room.

After doing that, I went to the nearest tack shop and took a look around and it was like everything just kind of came back. The desire to ride horses and accomplish Jumping and Dressage. So I visited some stables, talked to some people and was kind of feeling it again. I went out to a stable that was just recently built and the people there were so nice, their stable is freakin' amazing and so are their horses so I scheduled a lesson for Tuesday and I have to admit I am pretty excited. Of course watching the Olympic Equestrian team compete added more fuel to fire, but hey, I can dream.

I actually did some shopping and bought some new horse equipment and now I have to do this because when my fiance' sees the price tags...I'm in deep s***. LOL.
