Lately I've been trying out a bunch of different things on Photoshop. I've gone through a bunch of tutorials on different ways to manipulate photography. I've done everything from dark pictures to vintage touches and I think it's safe to say that...I'm going back to what I know best. Macro and nature shots. Maybe a few portraits here and there, but who knows.

I'd like to give props to all those photographers out there that can spend days in photoshop working on just one picture. With all the textures and layers and layers and layers. Blending techniques and hours wasted away erasing. Did I mention all the layers? But really, photo manipulation isn't an easy task and I am giving an electronic round of applause to those who do it. I love viewing the final products, they fascinate me, but like I said...I'm going to stick to what I know.

=]

It's really amazing how much people change over such a short amount of time. I mean, two years ago people were gossiping behind my back, talking about who's dating who and how so-and-so had sex for the first time.

Anyway. It amused me.

Also, I just got back from my trip to California. I'd upload pictures now but...My camera is in my dads suitecase so it will have to wait until tomorrow.
=]

Perfection

Can you imagine the perfect world? I mean perfect right down to every single desk being alined and perfectly green grass cut evenly; Every car exactly the same with perfect roads; Everything symmetrical and all the houses look exactly the same.
Sounds pretty boring, but what do we as a society strive for? Higher taxes, More money, Tourists, publicity or more jobs? We strive to keep our streets safe, to keep schools clean, provide perfect education, eliminate crime and create jobs for everyone. Will this ever happen? No. Why, you ask? Because we don't live in a perfect world and we never will.

Yet we still try to create perfection. Some more than others. Why do some people keep their belongings neat and oraganized while other people leave it a clutter of mess? Some people will straighten their books so it's all even when others toss them together without a second thought. Some people will take the extra time to face their dollar bills all the same way and place them neatly in their wallet while other people might shove handfulls of money into their pockets or purses.

So why do people take the extra time to straighten their books or arrange their money. Is there REALLY a benefit?

People say that people who are more organized succeed more in life and yet men and women who are pretty much the complete opposite of organized, manage to suceed every day.

Some people could walk down an isle in a store and straighted out crooked boxes and turn things the right way so it's all facing perfectly while other people could walk down the exact same isle and not even realize that anything is "Messy" or "unorganized." What makes us us so different that we can have such different perspective on things that are so simple.

Why do some of us strive for perfection and others don't?
Some of us don't even realize that we're "perfectionists" and some of us don't realize we're "unorganized".

Hm. I don't know.
I'm just thoughtful tonight...
