The opening band for them was really good too... I cant remember the first one, some girl singer... she was pretty good, but after her, the Armchair Cynics... they're REALLY good
I got my photo taken with two of the band members Yeeah go me Idk If I'll upload or not... they're pretty bad xD Lol

Never got a chance to get MT's autograph, or photos with them though D; My friends mom made us leave like two songs early D;

My friend and I got like... three people away from the front!! We were SO close for like half the concert until we bailed to go and get the autographs from the other band
Not to meantion the fact that we were getting sweated on, and peoples elbows being shoved into our ribs >.>

It was totally worth it xDD

The storys he told between the songs were SOOOOOOO funny too xD
I'll probably post most of them when I post the pics, but there was this one, that one time when the band was coming to Nanaimo, Josh was like... on the ferry, and some guy comes up to him and is like "Hey, you look like you're going to the Marianas Trench concert" and hes like "....Yeah... I am,actually" and then the other guys like "Well do you wanna buy a ticket?" "Naw, I think I'll be able to find a way in... are you going?" "No... I heard the lead singers a douche and the whole band is kinda faggy" (xDD) so Josh is like "I KNOW RIGHT?!" and so apparantly he's telling the story that night at the Nanaimo Concert, and he saw the guy who said that sitting in the front row xDDD

First I'd just like to say its only SEVEN DAYS UNTIL THE MARIANA'S TRENCH CONCERT!!!!!! Eeeeee! Im so stoked for it!! My friend and I are going to go an hour early too, because the band sells their own merchandise and we can get autographs and photos :3
This band is seriously incredible xDD

OH and its also only 19 days until my b-day too lol xD I probably wont get excited for that until its closer xD And besides, my moms already given me a new pair of cowboy boots for my b-day, and I know Im also getting season 4 of Criminal Minds because I wanted to go buy it one day, and she wouldnt let me and then I was like "MOM! you got it for my birthday...didnt you?!" And yeah. She admitted it >.> -sigh- xD

The only thing that kinda sucks right now, is that AFI is coming to Victoria, but Im not allowed to go, because the concert is on December 21st (too close to Christmas) and I AM going to Mariana's Trench... so... yeah xD I like MT better than AFI anyways

The title's kinda refering to some incredible bands/songs I've recently discovered <3

Alestorm - I am not lying when I say this. They are freaking PIRATE METAL!!!!! They're sooo incredible!! Seriously...listen to them!!! Its friggen amazing!!!



And there's this AMAZING song by Avenged Sevenfold (who's an incredible band as it is) called "A little piece of heaven" And holy shit. Its 8 mins long, and is about this guy thinking his love with his wife is too strong so he stabs her fifty times, rips out her heart then eats it. Then it goes to this whole verse about necrophilia:

School started on Tuesday (which was a totally pointless day, since all we did was go for like a five minute assembly and go to our TA's and then go home >.> Mind you I HAD to get there at 8:30 (the assembly was at 11) since my bus came at that time, and I had to wait until 3:30 for my bus >.< FRUSTRATINGGG

But yeah. My classes kinda suck this semester. I have French, HLA (which is Honors socials 11,honors English 11, and communications 12), Math, and Earth Science. No electives till next semester >.> (Mind you next semester, I have Metal, Art, Foods, and HLA )
But yeah. Not too much exciting there...

Holy crap. Yeah. Im really bored. xD

When I heard my grandma on the answering machine before my mom called her back, I thought it would have been my grandpa, but... Ken was only 40 years old. His kids are younger than me (12 and 14) and have to deal with their fathers death.
It was because (we think) he wasnt handling his diabetes properly, and his blood sugar dropped. (this happened awhile ago when he fell and broke his leg)
My grandma's really beat up over this because she was like, pretty much obsessively close to Ken. Apparently my grandpa is being really good through this, he's always been the "calm guy" in these situations (as I hear from my mom)
This was just so unexpected I cant believe it's happening.

Whew.
So I just got home from Alberta last night.
Miss me? ^^
But I'll update you all in order of the three exciting things that happened last week:
1)Lipizanner Stallions:
They were amazing! It was the second time I've seen them. I took TONS of pics, so be prepared xD But, yeah, they were awesome

2)Gymkhana
I was in a gymkhana... I did pretty good, the events were different than last time (because this one was technically a Western Games Show) and so I didnt know like three or four of the events. So I'll go over them here...
1)The Keyhole - You pretty much run the horse into this little circle, turn them, and run back. I got no time on this one, because I went outside the circle 'cause I didnt collect Belle enough. But I had never done this one before, so yeah.
2)Flags - You run the horse up to a barrel that has a flag sticking out of it, you grab the flag, run around another barrel, and put it back into the first barrel. I got second place in this! I was pretty exciting, seeing as Belle usually hates flags (I didnt know that until after xD)
3)Barrels - Just a classic barrel racing pattern - I got fourth.
4)Poles - Just a normal pole bending pattern - I got third
5)Scurry - This one was were there are these low jumps set up, and you have to jump over these four jumps (I've never jumped on a horse before, just over puddles xD) go around a barrel, and jump over the jumps again. I had never done this one before, and I got third!
6)Scud-a-ho - Another one I'd never done before! You have to weave through three barrels that are set up on the side, jump over four jumps, weave through three poles, then jump over the jumps again - GOD did I have a hard time on this one! I lost one of my stirrups on the first jump (and knocked the pole) then I was worried about making the turn tight enough, and weaved on the wrong side of the poles Dx and by the time I went back to the starting box, I had lost both stirrups Dx I got no time since I went out of the pattern
7)Quadrangle - You go around four poles, starting at the middle, you go to one corner, then to one adjacent to it, then to one diagonal from it, and then one adjacent to that one, and back to the centre. I screwed up on this one and forgot to go diagonally Dx I didnt get a time.
8)Trotting - You have to keep the horse at a trot while you circle a barrel - I got fourth.
Okay, so that's pretty much the gymkhana...

3)Calgary Stampede
It was amazing!! Once again, I took TONS of pics. We watched the main rodeo, and also the Night show, which was incredible... We also watched a lot of the free shows going on. But yeah, the stampede it's self was awesome, but Calgary was NOT set up for tourists going to the stampede!! We went to the Visitor info, and my mom asked how to get to the stampede, and they didnt know!!! It's like the biggest event that Calgary has, yet they can't direct us how to get there?!!? It was SO retarded! So we eventually found the Stampede grounds, but could we find camping?? Nooooooooo... We ended up camping for three nights in an off-leash dog park xD. THEN for parking the next morning, we go to the stampede lot which was full, and wouldnt take campers, so we went to like three privately owned lots, but none would take a camper! We eventually got someone to take us... for thirty bucks. It sucked, but it was super close to the grounds, so we could walk back and forth to check on the dog and stuff.
Anyways, then the day we were leaving to come home, we went to the Calgary Zoo, which was sweet as well...

I was totally expecting a contiuation from Underworld Evolution, but Rise of the Lycans is a freaking PREQUEL!!! UGH!

Like, it was good and all, but I was expecting some Selene and Michal, but instead I got Sonja and Lucian. It was good, but it was just all the stuff that's told in the first two movies. Like how the Lycans were the Vampires slaves, and how Lucian and Sonja were together and how they killed her. It was excellent, but disappointing at the same time. *sigh*
Now I think my mom wants to know what happens, since it shows the beginning shots of Selene, and a recording of her talking to Craven from the first movie. Oh damn... I just may have to watch the first movie again. Poor poor me

lol it was funny, though, since the movie is like... super dark, and the first shot you see of Sonja, its like all black & dark blue, and then her face is like WHITE. My first thought was Wow... I wish I had her skin... lol I love being pale, but holy shit I wish I was THAT pale

Actually, thats a lie. A LOT has changed.

So, some of you know I was in a piano recital with the song Homeland by Hans Zimmer from the movie Spirit... the recital was last night, and I actually played WELL!!! I was like sitting there playing, and my subconcious was like "wtf is this actually YOU playing this?!"
Seeing as last year I did TERRIBLY in the festival, I'm quite proud of myself What I really liked was how the ajudicator (sp?) was like "Wow, this is a reeeeeally tough song. and its so long Im impressed that you memorized such a long piece" I'm sorry. I dont often get this proud of mahself

Not too much new here... Im just getting really stressed out lately.
Stresser #1 - My teeth.
I just got this HUGE creepy thing put in my mouth to move my lower jaw out. It hurts a LOT (Not so much now, but last week it was terrible) I can barely chew still
Stresser #2 - Piano.
I'm working reeeally hard on this song (Homeland, from the movie Spirit, by Hans Zimmer) to get it memorized by two weeks from now. Each time it seems like I have it all right, I'll try to play it by memory the next day and it just all goes to crap. Like... I know it all, I just seem to forget random spots at random times.
Stresser #3 - School. (duh)
It just seems no matter how hard I try at school, i just never get anything right. I took Metalwork, since I think it'll be useful to get into college, but it seems no matter how hard I try I just keep screwing up. Like... if I cant make a friggen box out of sheet metal, how the hell am I supposed to make a horseshoe?! It doesnt really help that my metal teacher constantly treats me like shit, and is only ever nice to the other *coughmoresluttycough* girls in my class rather than me or Tanisha, who actually want to be there.
Oh!, and we had to do this huge term paper in socials, and I just got it back the other day and my socials teacher was seriously just trashing my writing on my essay! He's not my english teacher... he seriously has no right to do that!! GOD I reeeally dont like him... he just treats me like crap... Once again... I took socials honours, expecting to do FUN stuff, like the history of Europe, but Nooooo...we have to do the boring history of Canada. This country's too young to have any good history!!! UGH!

I got a good couple of runs on the barrels at least. It was fun, but I dont think I've ever been so cold!!!! After I did the barrels a couple times, I had to of course untack Belle... GOD my hands actually refused to move at times!
Next Gymkhana is on April 13th, so I have that to look forward to

My mom and I have been seriously talking about buying Six... if anyone wants some inside info, you'll have to send me a note...
If my instructor boarded horses, that would be AMAZING, but someone also e-mailed me on another place to board thats within a couple mins drive of my house... I reeeeally wanna board with my instructor, but since she's not fully set up, I guesse I just have to wait awhile... Once again, guys, send me a note if you wanna hear me rant haha

I have a lesson on Friday again... hopefully I'll be able to ride Six!!!!!!!!!

Oh! and I'm gunna be gone for a few days... I dunno if I'll have access to a computer or not, so... you may hear from me, but you may not

I had my barrel racing lesson today (as always), and... I've fallen in love. With Six. A 12 year old black/dark bay gelding. GOD I know I've said this MANY times, but he is the BEST horse I've ever rode! His lope is SO smooth that you seriously feel like you're not moving! If you've ever heard the term "I could have a cup of coffee while loping/cantering this horse"... well... that's Six.
To add to this? He's FOR SALE!!!!!
To make this better? My instructor is going to start boarding xactly like the Gymkhana that I went to last October, but it's similar... there's poles, barrels, trotting, and four other events that I've never done. So, I'm pretty stoked for that.

Oh my god... AND my mom and I are going to get chickens!!!!! Like, not for food, just for pets, and their eggs

--I'd like to apologize to all the people that I watch for not commenting on all your deviations right away... I have 266 that I still need/want to comment on, but I've been too busy to do it lately. I'll get around to commenting eventually!--

Brandon was watching this band that no one was watching, and Hailey saw him and was like "OMG you're Brandon Flowers, arent you?!" and he was like "Yeah, I am. I like your shirt, kid" It was the happiest moment in her life haha
I'm so jealous.
I'm pretty sure that this was the same time that she stalked Jade Puget from AFI... She followed him around until he went through a gate, and the only was through for her was through prickle bushes haha.

He was about the third cat today with the same problem, it's because all the outdoor cats have to be inside because of the snow, forcing them to use litterboxes with litter they dont like.

My mom just took him to the vet. She thinks he's "Blocked" again (he had a urinary tract infection, and we had to go get him "flushed" about two years ago) But I dunno... He's "leaking" pee, and he crys out in pain every time you pick him up. FUCK I'm sooooo worried about him! I mean... what if he got poisoned or something?! I REALLY dont want to live through that again!
I dont know if this is a bad sign or a good sign, but when my mom wrapped him up in a towel to bring him to the vet, it was the towel that my old cat, Mokie died in... My mom doesnt know, she probably doesnt even know we still own the towel that she died in.

I dont know... Sage has gone through so much... I really dont want to loose him... My mom didnt even let me go to the vet with her! (which makes me feel like its something more serious, because when my old dog, Keto, died, she didnt let me go to the vet with my dad and brother)

Kay, so... new stuff, starting with Charlie. I uploaded some pictures of me and him, but havent gotten any comments yet, which is kinda sad... anyways, everything has been working out amazing with him, the only problem I had was when someone on a dirtbike drove by when I was riding (the biker DID slow down), but Charlie just spooked, but it wasnt as bad as it could have been. Haha, and I rode him bareback last Saturday (In the pictures I put up) and I learned a VERY valuable lesson... DO NOT RIDE BONY HORSES BAREBACK!!!! It's SO painful! I almost fell off him about 3 times, he has a very bouncy trot!!! He's loosing soo much weight from when I started riding him. He used to be quite chubby two weeks ago when I first met him, but now you can see his ribs. Smokey on the other hand is obviously gaining weight, since she's pregnant
Next important thing, is that my Birthday is in 4 days! (Nov. 22nd) I'll probably update my journal again on the 23rd...

It was our first day riding them since we leased him and Smokey on Wednesday. He is SO amazing! I worked him alot on collection, at the walk for awhile, then I worked REALLY hard on collecting him at the trot (He didnt want to bring his head down, and he wanted to lope really badly) So when he finally did bring his head down, I let him lope. Oh my gowd is his lope amazing. at one point, when my mom and I were both loping around I just leaned forward, and was like "Let's see whatcha got, boy" and holy shit did he RUN!! I worked him on some poles and stuff too, today.
I have school off on Tuesday, so if the weather holds, we're going to go explore some trails.
I'll upload some pictures of Charlie + Smokey as soon as I have some!!!

We get our first day with them on Sunday. (We get 2-4 days a week with them, but it doesnt matter what days) then we're going to start exploring trails on Tuesday.
What's really amazing about this, is that my mom is still letting me take my barrel racing lessons, as well as lease Charlie. I expected her to stop my lessons, since I pretty much have my own horse to ride. Oooh... I have barrel lessons tomorrow! *happy dance*

I found a couple horses for my mom and I to lease!!!
If it works out, I'll be riding a 6 year old Quarter Horse gelding, named Charlie. He is a light chesnut with a really cool looking blaze/stripe. He's all trained for barrels, and such.
The horse my mom will be riding, is a 21 year old pregnant QH mare, named Smokey. She's a dark bay, with no white on her, which my mom will love, because she loves dark horses. She's a former pro-barrel horse.
They're both super-cute... If I had links to pictures I'd post them, but I kinda dont... so...

So, yesterday at riding, I got to work with a younger horse, Redford, and he is AMAZING! Hes like a little puppy! Hes so sweet! I get to help train him... I did a little bit yesterday, such as teaching him to give to the rein, and a bit of collection. (I wasnt riding, this was all groundwork) I wont go completly into detail about this, 'cause not many people would understand me.
I dunno if Im just being hopeful, but I honestly believe that Redford is going to be my horse... like, I keep thinking that my mom bought him, and all of my lessons was just Jessica seeing where I was so that she could see if I would be a good match for him, and now, every few lessons, I get to help train him. Or mabey in a few months I'll end up buying him, if Jessica will sell... I dunno...
Anyways, he's a BIG Quarter Horse, he's chesnut, with a slightly crooked blaze, and a white sock on his right back leg. He is one of the most gorgeous horses I have EVER seen! I'm in love with him
