The problem is getting them to look nice. It's driving me crazy. But, I guess I'll just have to see how bad the lines effect the art after CGing. If it turns out too bad, I'll just go back to drawing with a tablet. If not, this might make things easier on me.

This is also why I haven't been posting anything. Well, that and me being super stressed with school. And with trying to get more appealing art.

I've decided to finally start drawing my comic. The story itself seems to be going well, but I have yet to draw anything. Right now, I'm working on the cover. I hope to get at least three pages done this week, maybe more, maybe less.

Unfortunately, this means I'm gonna have to focus on cell shading, which I really do hate. I've been doing commissions on Gaia, which has got me used to soft shading. Oh, well.

Unfortunately, Gimp hates my tablet. It gets all laggy when I try to use it. So, now I've got to rely on Photoshop Elements, Corel Painter Essentials, and Open Canvas; all of which I don't feel comfortable using yet. And all the time I've spent learning Gimp is down the drain, unless they fix the lag. (Many other people have had the issue, apparently.)

What's worse is that I pretty much suck at using the tablet. I'm getting better, but any deviations I post will be in my scraps or to entertain some of my real life friends on Myspace. It sucks, but I don't have the skill to do anything even remotely good at the moment.

You see, I was browsing tutorials for the Gimp when I came across a tutorial by When I tried it out, I got some great lines, without the boxy feeling I usually get! This is definitely the highlight of my day. I've had kind of a bad day (tests and tripping on ice, to be exact), so I'm so glad I'm able to do something so important to me the way I used to. I know I have a ways to go to be a decent artist, but at least I'm not behind anymore.

I feel like I'm on the top of the world. I've got ideas and now I've remembered how to make line arts.

I'd really like to say that I do have some work to post up, but I don't. It's because I'd rather not post any pencil sketches. I mean, I might post some as scraps, but nothing actually in my main gallery. It just doesn't feel right.

The point, I need some suggestions, I think. Or, that will speed up the process. Eventually, I'll get my karma back and have plenty of things to CG, but right now I'm really lost. I've only been using the Gimp for graphics, so it's gonna take me some time.

Also, I need some recommendations. I recently found out that a roleplaying board I used to go to either moved or shut down (XSRPG) and I can't find it. So, I need to find a board that roleplays, preferably with elements and lots of fighting. Or if anyone is actually reading this now that does know what happened and could tell me where I could find the new location, or if there isn't one. (Phillo? Kez? Jessica? Sak?)

Still haven't found the secret to hair,but I think I'm close.I've been studying a couple of my favorite artists,and experimenting alot.Alot of my sketches are turning out nicer than I'm expecting,too.

I think I've found some ideas,too...It's wierd what I got it from,though.I found myself flipping through my algebra book and looking up random names to formulas and junk and I suddenly got inspired.I think listening to dir en grey helped,too,but still..

I got a mushroom walking stick,I'll try to take a picture of it.It's made of hickory tree wood and so cool!It was hand carved and everything!!

We walked down and there were these really cute bears that go on beds.All hand made and everything.That's what I like about our October Fest,so crafty.^_^

And there were these environment friendly soy candles!I swear I'm gonna go back there and buy them,they're exactly what helps the world,y know?

I also got some wrist bands to help fund the skate part the board shop is gonna try to fund.I wonder if they take pennies cause I have loads of them.

October Fest is so great!I love the whole small town celebrations!So great!And I still have to see the parade and the rest of the booths tomorrow and I get to hook up with Jessica and Erin!

It's gonna be soo much fun!It just gets better and better each time!

1. I first got into an anime style in around first or second grade when I was into Pokemon.From there I took the style and used it for other (not so good) drawings.

2.I haven't drawn anything with a decent background until recently.

3. I first did serious art about a year or two ago,with my comic When legends begin.I never did finish it,but maybe some day I'll redo the entire thing and keep going.

4.I can't color my art.I'm horrible when it comes to coloring.Wether it's on MS Paint or using colored pencils,they never turn out that good.

5. I have at least 15 useable notebooks of all shapes and sizes with me.Some have only a couble pages left,and some are almost full.But that is probably because I keep reusing them until I can't use em anymore

6.I'm always afraid people won't like my art which is why I never show anyone.

7.I don't like spend a large amount of money on art alone.

8.When I see some one who is better than me,I try to apply some of their art to a new drawing to improve the quality of it.Usually this is simple things like seeing shading and what clothes should look like,ect.

9.If I don't get any feedback on my art (good or bad) I feel like my creativity is drained.

10.When I draw fighting scenes I enjoy listenng to the Rasmus and AFI.
