After doing some random conventions vending and selling anime merchandise for the past 4 year, last year during October I leased a building and opened up my own Anime store in Ohio called Strictly Anime. So far it's just me and my younger brother that runs the shop just selling the merchandise like the key chains, plushies, wall scrolls and figures. Since January 2008 we started doing special orders on DVDs, Mangas, and J-pop CDs.

It's been a very very bumpy ride, but enjoyable at the same time XD. I'm almost about to reach my Anniversary for one whole year as it approaches October. Now I do have images of my building which I will post later...not only that but my art pictures as well (I've been dreadfully slacking in that department, but I have my reasons XD)

But if any of my online friends been wondering what I've been up to, this is primarily the reason...

Not only that T____T I really miss paint-chatting with you guys.

So what Anime I've been watching lately...

1. Tengen Toppa (Heaven Break-Through) Gurren Lagann - It's the Greatest MECHA SHOW THIS YEAR and It's by GAINAX!!! This is why it is NUMBER 1! in my category XDDDD.

2. Black Lagoon

3. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

4. D. Gray Man

5. Death Note

6. Devil May Cry

7. Kaze No Stigma

8. Seto No Hanayome

9. Claymore

10. Utawarerumono

For most of these titles, I've seen some them at Conventions or Anime Clubs, and all I can say that I wish I could see more of it!!! Luckily, some of these titles have been licensed, but not the majority of it sadly U____U; When they do, I will buy the DVDs to these when they come out, because they are all worth it XD.

What I do now for my business that I plan to come to the anime conventions ever other month that I can do within my budget. I also try to ebay stuff when I'm in my off-time from conventions.

I think this weekend will be a nice breather away from town, because the feeling is....how can I say....feels nauseating...I just wanna get away. Away from work, people , etc, etc. I rather hang with my anime crowd of people, because reality suckssss. XDDDD with my small business it's great to get things going and selling my kind of stuff like my key chains, wall scrolls, figures, plushes and my jpop cds.

Y'know what I'll post some photos of how I normally set up stuff(normally my setup changes from time to time) .

Let's see, Let's see... now it's 2007, Whooo Hooo a whole new constitution for brand new things.

I'll be honest with you...

1. I really really do have sketches, I'm just too lazy to upload them.

2. I got a myspace account. I'll post that up shortly this week when I get some things together.

3. I went to Ohayocon 2007 with my bro and friend. We had a blast, met some old friends and gain some new ones. Awesome.

4. I finally beat Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii. Awesome game, I would love to see alot of Fanart on deviantart as I will lurk and comment along the way (lol).

5. Point me to the right direction to people that know how to make cosplay outfits. ( I know about Cosplay.com), but I like to know some other ones ( I don't have the time that I wish to search for them). Like bunny ears, cats ears, tails, outfits, etc etc. the works baby. XD


Thoughout the whole year of 2006, I haven't seen alot of good anime...but there were some great ones.

My Two Cents...

Wow, Long time since I've touched DA...well, I have been lurking on other DAs, but not online. I've been doing fine, working hard, doing alot of needed reorganizing.

Business-wise, I had to re-do my business plan for my anime shop within the past few months, because of alot on industry changes, new articles that's been a big help with Videoscan and Bookscan. I had to look for a new location for my store, because the other one got taken by someone else for inventory needs. But the new place "Rocks", lease and other charges are about the same, it's just a tiny bit larger than the other location which is great . Plus I had to tone down my inventory to more recent releases starting this year, which isn't bad considering it was last year when I created the other one and easier on a loan I say XD.

Job-wise, I'm going to still keep my job when I get my small business running soon. Only this time I'm not on the salefloor no more (Thank god XD), now I'm working overnights unloading trucks with the backroom team. I'm glad I don't have to worry about zoning (well some zoning), and most importantly...Reshop *shudders*. If anyone that works at a department store, you know what I mean . Even though I switched positions, I still get paid the same amount as always, but $2 per hour more XD from my regular pay (which I won't say since I worked there for 5 years now). But I have to say, working overnights has given me alot of time to do alot of things on the dayside of life, "Big Time". Especially finishing and updating my business plan weekly.

Art-wise, I'll admit...I've been on the biggest slump on drawing for the past 6 months. It's not that I don't wanna draw, but I just didn't have the time back then... till now. The other day I found all of my unfinished works and trust me....It's a big pile of sketches and lineart (lots of goodies). Maybe I'll post it on later when I get the chance :smile:

What the Heck Happened to June , 2-3 weeks ago my computer's harddrive completely crashed, luckily I had a 3 year warranty on it but guess how long I had till my warranty ran out [August 28, 2005], this freaking year XD. So it's been crazy trying to put all the software and all the hardware that was attached to back in order, but at least my computer sounds quieter than ever. Before it crashed it was sounding like a bad muffler on a car (Hopefully you can understand what I mean )

Oh well, on to life as we know it...

Mmmm this month doesn't feel like April at all for some weird reason, can't wait for next month to come so I can splurge on some goodies XD.

Two weeks ago, I had a good time at Animarathon '05 selling some toys as a vendor. I sold stuff before with my vendor license, but this time around sales was alot better than my first year.
I can't wait to vend again at another location, because I've been stocking up on more toys .

Nothing new for drawings, but I'll probably be paintchatting at Niko's and do something there...actually I did draw and color a picture, but I can't bring myself to post it on here

I could've post a sketch of my drawing, but I haven't gotten around to uploading it yet.

Lately,...as the name that says before me, i've been "procrastinating" on alot of things that I'm very capable of getting finish. I wish I could go into details about it, but I'm going to keep that to myself and the friends and family that do know me .

Today, i was wondering to myself. "What kind of stuff that I used to draw?" Sooooo, I was rumbling through all my old drawings i used to do in High School (really old, but good stuff). Growing up in da'hood and all( OMG I'm ranting ), people used to say to me that I had a pretty good imagination when I drew things. I used to draw scary, buffed-looking characters . I had no sense of anatomy whatsoever , but through my comic books that I carefully read and looked at there were my only references of drawing characters that I wanted to spawn from. Like for instance, Spider-Man with his skinny but athletic-looking body and X-Men's Wolverine muscular and grunty style. These guys were my formulas to drawing my own characters.

Well the point to all of this, that today i'm going to instead post some of my older drawings that I used draw. Some of it is fanart and some of it is original so bare with me. Most likely I'm going to put it in the scrap section, but if I feel that it's complete i'll "DA" it.

Maybe this will respark my ability to draw more, because I love to draw and I hate to procrastinate.
