Okay, so you may have notice I've been rather MIA for a while... that's because I actually got a job. It's not in my field, but it pays me and I get at -least- 40 hours a week, so its going to do me just fine for a while. Its a tiring and physical job, so I'm usually wiped (and sweaty) when I get home.

I realize that my Kiriban has passed, however, no one noted me saying they caught 5,555. That means I'm probably just going to forget about it and bump the next Kiriban to 6,666. If you get it, screen cap it and note me with the link to the screen cap. It'll be like before: you get one image, roughly 8.5x11 of one original character or one other character of your choosing in a digital OR traditional medium.

I'm working on the two pieces for =Action-Hank. Hopefully I'll find time to actually finish those and get the website for The Ananhet laid out.

Its alive?

I'm moderately alive...

I've been back from my vacation in Las Vegas for a while (and it was AWESOME). I'm still contemplating putting pictures up, but I have to get my artwork from college up to date here first. Plus, I still need to do that artwork for =Action-Hank...

I've also been working on my mother's website some more. She makes jewelry like crazy, so if you like pretty jewelry check it out: [link] ! My mom and I are still trying to figure out the easiest type of online store for her to have on the site that she can edit herself, so that's not working yet, but you can email her with any questions about availability and pricing and what-not. By the end of the day today she'll have a paypal account set up for the store, too.

Also, you guys may have noticed my nifty new journal. No, I didn't make it. I got lazy and then dA caught up to my laziness and made journal skins easily available for subscribers to use. One of these days I'll make my own... maybe.

Farewell, Dear College!

As of tomorrow, my college life is OVER. And good riddance. I loved the experience, but I'm glad its over and I can move on to something else in my life and get a little break from school.

Also, because of said Graduation, I am heading off on a little hiatus. I will be sans internet all tomorrow, and then on Monday I leave for a week in Vegas as a "Happy Graduation" present from my Dad. Since finding out, I have watched all three Ocean's movies, and I think I'm prepared. (lol)

Once I'm back from Vegas I'll be back on the internets, but I'll probably be job hunting like whoa. I've applied to places. We'll see how it pans out.

I'm off, for now!

It's Almost Over

College life is coming to end fast. It's really weird.

I was going to be taking pictures of one of my newest paintings this week, but then I got some good critique on it and decided to mess around with it a bit more. I only really need to push the values a bit more, so I might put up a WIP version of it until I put in some more bright highlights and dark shadows. I'm also working on a diptych painting for my next project, and trying to finish an older painting at the same time. My last painting is going to be a little different in scale than the others and it'll be a "City of Atlantis" under water temple thing.

My partner and I finished our joint print also, and it came out pretty cool. We only have one more print project left, and I'm really excited about the idea. Plus, it's going to be an etching, and I actually really like those. Then I just have a final essay to complete, which is basically just a "compare the three revolutions you've already written essays about" kind of deal.

I always forget to put updates about my 3D Animation class. I have both of my characters built, and one is just about rigged. I have to rig the second, then texture them. I'm admittedly a little behind in this class, more so than I'd like to be anyway. That can be fixed by pushing myself a little more during my shifts in the DM labs and going in on days I don't work. I'll post stills of the characters once their nicely textured, and then I'll be putting the video up once it's finished as well.

Senior Seminar I still find to be unnecessary and evil at times. At least we're getting class time to do stuff that'll actually add to our portfolio. Still planning on doing my mom's jewelry site, but I'm also working on a few vector images that are going to roughly parallel my painting series.

My Cults and New Religious Movements class is also almost over, which I'm feeling pretty passive about. All our major work is done, so I could take it or leave it.

And in the midst of it all? The Student Juried Art Show. Kill me now. I'm putting five pieces (out of a possible max of seven) in the show this year. I'm hoping a few get in. They'll also be up for sale at the show, so if you're in the Reading, PA area stop by the Freedman Gallery at Albright College and check it out. These are the five pieces I'm putting in:

Once all of this crap is over and done with, I'm going to do the Kiriban image for Action-Hank. He requested his character Soviette in vector. Then I also promised him something f*cked up, which I have quite a few ideas on, but just no time to devote to it until after finals are due >_<.

In the next couple of days I'll have another print and another painting to put up. My painting has to be done for Tuesday and my print for Wednesday, so then I just have to get around to photographing them >_<...

The end of the semester is dieing down a little bit for me, so hopefully I'll be able to get some more digital work up. I have the website I'm making for my mom's beautiful hand-made jewelry, and then I'm also doing character design and animation in my 3D II class. I'll have two character models ready for animating by the end of my senior year.

I'm also adding all of my finished prints from my Revolutionary Printmaking class up to this point. And I still have two more left to finish. So far I've done linocut, woodcut, and collagraph prints. My partner and I are almost done our silkscreen print (the only project done as a collective, and it's been fun ^^), and then we just have our etchings as our final project.

I also added a painting. The third of the semester (because the second one SUCKS) and I'm almost done my fourth painting. My fifth painting will be a two-canvas piece (both small) and I'm excited for it ^^.

As for DM, I'm working on a website to showcase and sell my mom's beautiful artisan jewelry! I'm going to technically have that be my final DM project, but I'm going to also be doing vector illustrations relating to my painting series on the side.

This was supposed to come with massive amounts of deviations in the form of my prints. But...

Of course I forgot to bring my camera to class, and some of the prints still rub ink off, so I can't scan them. I have five different prints so far, and I'm going to have more soon enough. Plus I have a painting to take a picture of, but I can do that in class tomorrow. Maybe I'll go early and take pictures of my prints, too. Hopefully the print lab will be open.

I need to add all this stuff to my website, too. And I need to build my mom a website to sell her jewelry.

Is it bad that I want to re-do my website? When it isn't even fully finished in it's current incarnation? *sigh* And I'm contemplating changing the name of my site, too...

I'm getting my ask kicked by projects and exhaustion. I didn't finish my second painting in time... I'll get a shitty grade on it and be angry with myself as usual. I'm actually planning on finishing it this weekend if at all possible. I have tomorrow free and a bridal shower to go to on Sunday. I was lucky as shit to get my prints done for class, but they all suck. For whatever reason, the press was angry at the world and didn't want to give anyone consistent prints. Hopefully Kristen will grade in our favor because of it...

My Digital Media senior seminar is kind of crap. It cuts and hour and half off of my studio time for Painting studio topics and we aren't really focusing on immediate concerns about our future - like our finished portfolios, or resumes, or job searching. To be fair, we're doing all that and more in my studio topics class, but that stuff I'm willing to double up time on, especially if I have to miss more than half of one of those classes because of the other.

Seriously, I have Painting Studio Topics from 1:30-4pm and Senior Seminar from 2:30-4:30... And I NEED both to graduate. And its spring semester, and neither were offered last semester, so I NEED to take then NOW. So I basically go to painting for one hour, and then waist time talking about nothing for two and half.

Oh, and my bank is a douche. They dicked me out of almost $100, but /oh so kindly/ decided to give me some of it back when money was deposited into my account (note the EXTREME sarcasm). The reason, you ask? Because Borders.com is a BIGGER douche. I pre-ordered a movie that doesn't get released until March 20th. Plenty of time for my birthday money deposit to clear in my account (or so I thought). But, wait, what's this? Borders decided to charge me for it the day after my b-day?! It hasn't even SHIPPED yet!

And I'm ashamed to say that I refuse to cancel the order... because its for the Twilight movie... special edition... and it better have mind-blowing extras for all the stress its putting me through right now.

Oh, and I only have 4 weeks left on my subscription and basically no money. And the only job I have doesn't start until Monday night, which will only max out at 4 hours a week anyway.

Sometimes, late at night when I'm really hungry, I think to myself, "Man... I used to make a lot of money moving boxes at Walmart... I wonder if the one down the street is hiring..."

Then that thought turns to why I quit, and I cry a little inside.

EDIT: Thank you !!! Now I have 4 months (not weeks) until subscription runs out ^^. Just that one little thing (and your phone call) made me feel better

Almost There

Well, that one drawing of Emil seemed to come of out of no where and then vanish. Though, my brain has been getting flooded with ideas for other drawings... I definitely want to do one for Valentine's Day, but the problem is picking a couple. There are so many characters in my head on their own, let alone taking into account their significant others >_<.

My winter Interim class is almost over! Class itself is done with, but I still have my journal to hand in and one more essay to write up. It went really well, though, and it was an awesome class ^^. Now I just have to prepare myself for the regular semester (my last one! *cries*) and yell at my Digital Media professors for being slackers. Plus, apply like crazy for graduate school and make sure I'm enrolled before the end of the summer... that way I can keep my health insurance and differ my loans, lol, even if I don't start until Spring.

Then comes the task of getting a job. I'm applying for a job at the design company I interned for. They liked me when I worked for free, so I'm hoping they'll still like me when I ask for money, lol. There are a few work programs offered through the school, plus I saw a job about working in book publishing (which would be AWESOME). I just need something to start paying the bills now that I've escaped the evil clutches of Walmart.

Holiday Crazies

We finally got our Christmas decorations up, so I took a few close up shots of some nifty looking ornaments ^^.

Also, I got a picture of one of my three Life Path paintings for my Painting II final. I didn't have enough time to take pictures of the other two (which are still on campus), so I'll get those early January when I go back for my Interim class.

If you notice (by the change in my profile page), I also became an Official Beta Tester ^^. I like testing stuff out, especially if it'll help out the developers in coming up with cool stuff for the site.

One of these days I'm going to actually add CSS to my journal. I've been way too damned lazy to root through the source code for the class names I needed, but I found something that gave them all to me. Now I just need to figure out how I want it to look... and make it. Expect more laziness in that area, but I may get down right bored and creative after my grad applications go out.

*cries* The grad application process is 10 times more stressful than the undergrad one (for me). I'm tweaking out over how good my portfolio is going to be.. and I gotta say... I'm hating it right now. I hope I'm just being a stress freak and overreacting. I need my recommendations and transcripts to get to me on time, and I'm good to go. Pratt and RISD, keep a look-out for my shit!

My aunt sent me a video of Keith Oberman talking about the passing of the Section 8 legislation in California. It's a moving video, and it's about an issue I am deeply involved in.

This has nothing to do with religion, sexual orientation, or politics. It deals with LOVE, and I've never heard someone speak about the cause of equal love so powerfully and eloquently than Keith Oberman.

He's someone that isn't gay, isn't related to a gay person, and doesn't know of any of his close friends being gay, yet he UNDERSTANDS what the underlying fight is about.

Artistic Inspiration! At last!

Yeah, I know, I don't post artwork nearly enough for a dedicated art student, but then again... I'm also a lazy bastard.

I don't have any new work to post with this journal, but I will post sometime this week. I forgot to bring my camera to Painting class today, so I didn't get any snap shots of my newest finished piece. I was also going to get 'Work In Progress' shots of two of my other paintings to put up here...

Maybe if I put them here and people bitch enough, I'll finish them.

Yeah... riiiight.

One is going to get finished either way, because I want to finish it, just not for class this semester. Now I just need to find a place at home to paint that won't get destroyed by dogs...

I'm working on a narrative series about moving moments I've experienced in my life, things that have shaped me. I need to have at least three for class, but I have four fully planned and a few more lurking in my head. My first, a painting based on my mom's struggle with breast cancer, is done. The next one is a happier time when I spent the first full summer away from home.

Future Projects of the Third Kind

So, I'm excited enough about some of my print projects that I have to share them with you all. Now, I haven't started any of them yet, and I probably won't until at least the end of next week, but here we go....

5 Monotype prints, designs based on the Chinese Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water).
A Calligraph series depicting an unorthodox fairytale (1 image, at least 5 prints).

I'm also starting on my painting projects. I have a pretty amusing first project, but its due this coming Thursday, so I'll just wait until after critique and load it.

For my Illustration and Design class we have to make a poster for a play. I chose The Laramie Project, so we'll see how that goes. My college is doing the play later in the semester!! I want to see it so bad >_< .

And on a personal note, I'll be working on an image of Foster that plays with perspective (while still showing off is tattoo), and the Green Tea Web Hosting website.

The Last Leg of My College Journey Has Begun

The title may be borderline epic, but what I have to say isn't...

I just started my Senior year at Albright (HOLY COLLEGE CREDITS, BATMAN!) and things are really coming down to the wire for me. I'll be working my ass off to make sure I pass all of my classes and can get the hell out of here, but also, I'll be doing crazy amounts are traditional and digital work this year. I'm finishing up a lot of older pieces and doing more in my classes, and I REALLY need to beef up my portfolio.

How else am I going to get into grad school?

Anyway, expect more woodblock and calligraph prints from me, and maybe a screen print.. I haven't decided on that yet. I will also be doing oil paintings!! Yeay! I'm actually really excited about this, and I know for sure I will be using one of my newest characters (Tiegen) as a subject for one of my later paintings. Maybe others if the inspiration strikes me (and my professor doesn't boycott it).

In the digital realm, I'll be putting up for photo manipulations, Illustrator pieces, and even a Maya piece. And I may also be combining all three for another piece.

My website will also be finished at some point this year, along with the Green Tea Web Host site... I already have the stuff I need to finish it... I just need to sit down and start it...

Oh, What Life Has Done

Well, I got a job.

Said job has basically consumed my life since the day I started, so I've been working my ass off, then coming home to collapse or do any number of mandatory chores (such as laundry) -then- collapsing.

At least I have money now. I have enough to get me to Otakon and buy the good stuff this year! I can go into the art book tent *dances*!! That also means I'll be scouting artist ally, because I didn't get a chance to support any artists last year.

I will also be using my cash to support myself as much as possible up at college (which I leave for in only a few short weeks) and get a new tv for college... since the dads refuse to move my old one anymore.

The treat to myself for all my hard work at.. work, however, will be....

The iPhone! Haha! I can afford the new iPhone and the plan by myself! That will take a load off my mom's bill, and help me build some easy credit (I'm not one of those girls that talks forever and murders the phone bill).

In other news, I AM still working on the website... only just a very little bit at a time because of my all consuming job. I am also still working on fixing up those tattoo designs.

New Stuff...er... sort of...

Well, instead of really working on sketching out new stuff, I've been putting my old design ideas in digital form. I have three family crests (DeLuge, Dusek, and Himura) and a rather raunchily placed tattoo (Foster's lower abdomen piece) that I've been sketching out. I got two of those on the computer and done up enough to show off. I still have a lot of work to do for both to make them as solid as I want. Foster's tattoo is what is going to kill me... so that one will be done last >_< ;;. I should have the Himura family crest (belonging to Kuraku) and Foster's tattoo up sometime tomorrow.... er, later today.

Once all this gets out of my system, I'll be working on character designs for my twins (Ezekiel and Jahaziel) and Rhystic. Those three won't leave my mind the hell alone, so I might as well get them out while the inspiration is there.

Convention news! I finally got the change to pre-reg for Otakon! I won't be in the artist ally or anything, but I'll be bringing my computer and tablet for sketching. I should have my cosplay for Nanao-chan done, so be on the look out! I may have someone take a picture or two once I'm done if it comes out well enough.

I'll be getting a normal job soon, but I'm still working hard on my website and doing things for Green Tea Host, as well as offering myself up for commissions if anyone is interested.

By 12am EST on June 25th (Tuesday night/Wednesday morning) I will have everything set up on my website. I'm offering to hand print digital work and photographs and I may even part with a woodcut or lino print or two if I can bring myself to separate with them. All that pricing will be up by then as well if you are interested, as well as prices for commissions.

And please note, -everything- will be handled via paypal. I may take credit/debit cards if I absolutely have to, but I would prefer not to. Its just safer and easier for all parties involved.

A New Featured Artist

Okay.. I didn't get a chance to let you guys battle for the chance to get featured for this month, so I just chose a friend from my list who also deserves the awesomeness that is being featured. And that would be !!! I might go through a few of my friends in the upcoming months before I ask for suggestions.

I also have more photos of flowers... but I'm holding off on those for right now. My mom just got Portulacas and Celosias, and we've had come great sunny weather, so I couldn't help myself. Luckily for you guys, I'm going to hold them on my camera for a bit.

Since Saturday I've been in my room cleaning, organizing, and putting shit away.... it's only been three weeks since I've been home from college... At least my room feels like its mine again, and not some storage closet with a bed in it. Unfortunately, that means I've been crazy busy (and dying from dust and animal hair >_< ), so I haven't had anytime to draw -anything-.

The good news? I'm basically done, and I'm going to be starting a little experiment. I'm going to be doing three sketches a day, of anything and everything, and only spending 20-30 minutes on each one. I'm hoping this will pull my creativity back out and give me some good ideas for finished works. I'm not going to start this until this Saturday, and I'll be posting my sketches in scraps, and then if I decided to actually do a finished version of them, they'll be made into deviations.

Also, Circe Du Soleil's new extravaganza "Kooza" is in Philly! They take over a huge empty parking lot on Avenue of the Arts and set up a crazy tent for their shows! And who gets to go see them on Friday? That's right... ME! I'm damn excited (though... I was -supposed- to go see Rent before it left Broadway, but this is cool, too).

Now, I need to go and finish my room...

Yeah, so I now officially have more photos of flowers than I have traditional drawings....

I need to get cracking on my traditional stuff... as well as getting some character drawings done. I pulled my copics out of the box they had been packed in, only I found them all falling out of their box and mixed around >_<. Those of you who know me understand that this is a huge problem. Why? Because I'm an anal retentive bitch that needs all of the markers to be in their designated spots unless in use. I'm the same way with -all- drawing/coloring materials... that's why I rarely let people use my stuff... because they never put it back where they found it...

Oh, yeah, and I got straight A's this semester ... I was really worried my one professor was going to dick me over again, and that I wasn't going to do well on my Art History final, but all of that came out just fine (like everyone I mentioned my stress to said it would).

I may have a job opportunity coming, but I'm still looking around just in case. I just hope I find something soon... I have to preregister for Otakon! That, and I have to make sure I have my share of gas and hotel money, plus enough to spend on shit... more than likely I'll be buying more gundam models to obsessively put together.

Oh, and I have to make a kimono top for my Nanao-chan cosplay. That, and I want to see if I can find a relatively cheap wig, now that I've cut my hair short... If I get a good enough job I may even be able to put together the last few things I would need to complete a Duo cosplay...

So much stuff to do and surprisingly little time to do it...

Alright, so my 3,333 page views came and went. Thank you all who viewed! I was a little sad no one PMed me with that screen cap, because I was really looking forward to making something special. I still might, but it will have to wait a few weeks. I'm just heading into my finals week at college, so I'm going to be very busy studying.

Also, was the only one who replied to my last entry! Therefore, she will have 5 of her pieces featured instead of 3. I might do the features as a monthly thing after this, keeping the ones I have up until I can either pick new ones or get you guys to actually reply.

Exciting news! My piece "Negative -- Thank You" made it into the Juried Student Art Show here at Albright College! I entered it with the title "Happy Valentine's Day." I was late to the awards announcements, so I'm not sure if I won anything, but I'll find out by next week if I did.

I also wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who ed and commented on "Sydney and Foster" so far! I had an almost immediate response to it after I posted it, and that boosted my spirits today ^^.

I've been uploading more of my photographs! (as I'm sure you could tell)

I still need to scan my prints... lol. I'll get around to it eventually... my printer is currently being used as a shelf of shorts >_<;...

I really like some of the things I've been getting with my digital camera, so over the summer I'm probably going to be getting a lot of street shots and cityscapes. I'm only a 20 minute train ride from Philadelphia, and I'll hopefully have a job in the city. All the more reason to take pictures ^_^.

I'm also working on re-doing my own website, as well as getting the website finished for Green Tea Web Hosting (finally). We'll see how long those take me... lol.

Back again...

Yes, I know I haven't been around in a while. I've been uber busy with life things, so I have rarely even checked the site. I'm up to date on all of my messages and what not, and I've even been submitting!

I got a few really good shots from my vacation to Florida this winter break, so I'm going through them and deciding which ones I want to post. I have a few more I'm going to put up, but I don't feel like going through the submission process right now...

I'm in a print making class this semester, so I've been cranking out prints! My first print will be scanned and put up as soon as I can get some time, and my second one should be up in a week or so. The first will be a linoleum print and the second will be a wood relief print. I have my critique on the second print Thursday, then I'm finishing my edition for my good print.

I'm still working on vector and photoshop work as well, its just taking a back seat to my classwork right now.

That's all for now, but I will still be updating with photography stuff here and there to keep you guys coming back (I got a digital camera, so I've been going picture crazy).

Yes, I finally updated. Now, of course my posters aren't finished.. and they're supposed to be done for the class I have in 45mins, but oh well.

I put up one of my three planned posters. Technology was not with me this week, and I've have very little sleep, so it isn't the best. Its labeled as a work in progress until I can finally be satisfied with it.

I'm still working on the other two. That's probably what I'll be doing before the wintery holidays. Next week is all about making websites and updating my own, plus studying for my one and only final, so I'll be a bit too busy.

New work!

Okay, I know I haven't submitted anything in a while, but that doesn't mean I have been lazy. Well... kind of, but that's not the point.

I put up a poster I made for my Media Production class. I love it, hense it being my featured piece now. I'll be making around 5 more, but they'll be a totally different subject matter. They are going to be done "in promotion for my online RPG, Dark Awakenings." Or, at least, that's what I told my professor. They're really an excuse to force myself to draw my characters and do a few for the other group members ^^.

I've re-aquainted myself with Illustrator, so the posters will be vectored. Oh how I love vectors, and plus I don't have to worry about resizing the images and having them look like crap that way.

Hopefully they'll be done relatively soon...

Oh! And I'm also going to be revamping my website before the end of this semester... hopefully. It'll be my portfolio website (which is pretty much what it is now). And I'm going to try and get Pankratz, who takes most of the professional photos on campus, to take the photos of all of my art pieces. Well, the ones I like most anyway. That way I can actually have nice looking photographs of my work at a higher resolution.

Okay, this is really just an update to let you guys know I'm not dead. And yes, I'm still doing art, though it is reluctantly for school. While I'm getting good projects, they leave me with little time for my own art, and I've been kept busy with work for other classes, too.

Some of you may have noticed that my cafepress shop is empty. I know.. unfortunately my laptop is unable to handle the file sizes needed for quality prints on cafepress. I've been using the computers at the DM labs at college, but I can only save them to the storage drive, so I have to back them up on my external, so I can work on them at any computer. Once I do that, the three prints I have set will be available in three sizes.

All that should be set up around Tues or Weds. Also, I'll be trying to put up other pieces from last semester and some from this semester I'm proud of.

And if I can finish it relatively soon, then I'll also have a flash animation. That is... if the file isn't too large. If it is, it'll still be viewable on blue-raspberry.net.

Just a short little update. I've been bogged down by busy life things, so I haven't been able to work on much art these days. I should hopefully be finishing a flash animation for my web 2 class some point soon. That is, if I can get my ass into gear and finish it.

And I have a nice little announcement ^^. I opened a cafepress store to sell prints of my artwork that is already made, and soon enough I'll have a paypal site set up for my personal commissions when I have the time to actually do them.

Gettin' Busy

Well, first off I want to thank everyone for all the page views ^^. I haven't had a chance to do that lately and I felt bad about it.

I have been working on my artwork, but my mother was away for the week, which put me in charge of the animals and the house. That left me with little time for art between keeping the pets happy and fed and cleaning up after them. And to be honest, I've been getting frustrated with aspects of different drawings (hand, faces, poses, etc.).

I haven't heard anything about the Katsucon art table lately, so once I get back to school I'll try and get the info on that. I'm still working on fanart just in case, and if we do have it I'll be selling what I have and doing commissions. Lets hope we got it...

I'm heading back to school tomorrow afternoon, so the next few days will be busy, especially since my roomie and I are re-arranging our room once we get back

Working Hard

Alright. I've been drawing... and got side-tracked, lol. I'm still drawing, but I got another drawing idea stuck in my head, and until I work it out it won't give me my inspiration back to finish the ones I had planned. The picture if of two characters, Hawk (mine) and Ayda (Jade's), and it depicts a scene from one of our rpg story lines. I just couldn't help myself

Okay okay, I know I should have had new art up here a little while ago. Unfortunately I was a bit sick for the holidays, but I'm all better now. Also, I put off a finishing up a few of my works because I got Copics for Christmas from my mother, and I wish to play with them ^^.

I'm planning on adding more flash animations and getting some of my Illustrator work together and on the site.

I'll also be taking commissions through the site at some point. Currently my commissions are closed (midterms and gift art to finish), but once I get some free time I'll be opening them up.

The commissions will be sent within the US only for right now and I'll only be able to accept money from paypal users. Unless you are willing to risk snail-mailing me your money.

Well, I've been crazy busy these past couple weeks. My mid-terms hit hard, and they still aren't completely over (damned DM courses), so I have to postpone my Halloween drawings . I wanted the lineart up by Halloween at least, but I haven't had time to get the drawings like a want them.

My mid-terms should be over after Tuesday (officially), so I will hopefully have everything trickling in by the end of the week. Now I must be off to do work for my drawing class...

Just updating everyone on what's going on with me.

I will be busy busy busy with my DM midterms this week on top of my normal class load, so forgive me, but I will hopefully have a few treats ready for you upon my return.

I am working on not one, but two Halloween drawings. They will both be of Rowan, a little demon child from the RPG I'm in. In one he'll be dressed as a little devil and in the other he's going to be a pirate ^^.

I also have a little flash animation in the works. That project is my midterm one, so it should be done by Thursday afternoon. If not, I'll have it ready by the following Monday. And all I'm going to say is, it is called 'Imagination'.

First off I'd like to say... 615 pages views! Yeay! Thank you all for visiting my page and checking out my work ^^!

Okay, first thing on the agenda: I have taken digital photos of some of my larger work from my Life Drawing class, so as soon as I get them off the camera and onto the computer you will be seeing at least 4-5 new drawings from me. They will probably be up later tonight.

Next: I am working hard on finishing that drawing I should be doing for Drew (poor boy, he's so patient) as well as getting ideas and sketches done for original charcters of mine, , and . The three of us have many characters that seem to have formed a large intertwined family tree over time, lol.

And last, but not least: I'm still not sure if we have a table at Katsucon, but if we do than I -will- have art to display. The drawings of most, if not all, of the original characters will be there as well as some fanart. They will probably be small prints (around 8.5x11 or smaller) and I will have more copies of the fanart prints than my characters. Still not sure if I'll do commissions... we'll see.

Yeah.. I finally submitted things. I have a 5-part Emotions series up now that I did a little while ago, but just found receintly. The concept was to draw what you thought expressed the emotions the teacher called out, but you only had vine charcoal and 30 seconds to do it. I thought it was rather fun. I did a lot more than 5, originally, but these were the only ones I was really proud of.

Also, I have three other charcoal drawings to put up sooner or later. They will all be of nude models done for my Life Drawing class. They're quite large, so I need to borrow my roomate's digital camera in order to get them up here (hense why they aren't up yet). And I think I'll have hands and feet sketches for later.

After that I'll be experimenting with different papers, techniques, and media, so it'll get a little more interesting. And a question: Is anyone interested in seeing my gesture drawings? I wasn't going to put them up, but then I decided I would leave it up to you guys.

My colleges Anime Society is trying to get a table secured at this years Katsucon convention. If we do get the table there will be art available from several different artists. Now, I -may- be one of those artists... we'll see how my winter break goes, but I'd like to know what you guys would like to see (art-wise) at any anime convention (not just Katsucon).

I might post a poll about this later, possibly later tonight if I get bored. I'll definately be doing a little fanart (what's a con without fanart?), but I want to know what else you may want to see. Also, if we do get the table, I may set up commissions, though I might only do a few. We'll see.

I'll be sure to update about this status as I figure it out. Let me know your thoughts!

I know I haven't updated my journal in a while.. but I'm doing it now ^^. Okay first I'd like to say...

Over 500 pages views now!! Yeay!! Thank you all for visiting my page ^^. I know.. that's not a lot compared to some, but I'm proud of it.

Okay, I have started school, so my time will be limited, but because I am an Art/Digital Media major, you on dA benefit from my business ^^. I have a web design class, and we're working in Flash right now, and I'm currently working on a little short animation to do with my bored creation - Pac-Boy (if he really exists as part of the game..then sorry, but I was just bored in class).

I'll also be putting up drawings from my Life Drawing class. And hopefully in an attempt to appease my professor, I can use the drawing I still need to finish for Drew as practice. Which means you should be getting to see it... at some point ( ><;; sorry Drew).

I also have German 101 and Religions of India, China, and Japan. The German class is cake.. I took three years in high school, and from how the teachers talking, I could probably skip both 101 and 102 (putting me in 201) and still be ahead. The only qualm I have with the religion course is all the reading, but at least its interesting.

Computer Is Back

Now that my computer is back (I got it back on Wednesday, btw) I've been busy with trying to reload all the programs and things I had on it before.

Well.. most of the programs. I reloaded Firefox, and my Office Mac stuff, and got AIM and Stuffit Expader back, but that's it so far. Windows Media came with Office Mac, now I just have to get VLC, DivX, and RealPlayer back.. the comp already as Quicktime.

I actually found the joys of using Entourage. I figured it would be a similarly annoying mail program like the one that comes with my Mac, but it's not at all. It has a calender, notes section, email, address book, and best of all a project manager. I can link together all files relevant to a project I'm doing and have them all show up together in the project manager.

Well.. enough of blabbing. I'm working on fanfiction, cleaning, and drawing a bit. Maybe I'll even get that drawing done for Drew. I'be done multiple sketches for it, and I think I've finally settled on a few of the details. Now I just have to get the final sketch and ink and color it *sigh*

Computer Crash..

Oh yeah.. my computer crashed today. For the second time in a year. And if its another faulty hard drive, then I'm not leaving the Apple store until they give me a brand new computer.

This is just bullshit! And I lost the ENTIRE Howard Johnson website! I was going to back up my hard drive onto my external today. Ironic isn't it? I cried for quite some time.

On one hand I'm pissed, because I can't think of any other reason for it to crash other than a faulty hard drive, so it is Mac's fault, since they are the ones who replaced my LAST faulty hard drive with this one. Then on the other hand, I feel like an ass for not backing up my stuff last week like I had originally planned.

My mom and I are going to the Apple store tomorrow to see what's wrong with it. And if I hear "faulty hard drive" I'm going to scream and tell them I want a new comp. Because, two faulty hard drives in one year is just bullshit. My mom called my computer a Lemon today, and I think she's right.

I'm using her computer to do this, btw.

Oh yeah, and I'm getting my permit tomorrow. Lets hear a sarcastic 'yeay' from the peanut gallery. Seriously, I don't give a shit about driving now. I just want my computer back.

I might have a job! Two possible jobs, infact! I really don't care which one I get.. I just need to make money. I hate not having my own money. And I hate taking money out of my saving even more, so I've been like a little Scruge since I've been home. I should probably get all that change I have counted and put that in the bank...

I've been seeing a lot of awesome vector artists recently, which got me thinking. Why haven't I put up any my own vectors? Well, there's the little problem of them being on zip disks, but I have a zip drive, so that's solved. The only thing is... Most of what I have is in .ai fomat.. and I don't currently have Illustrator, so I can't save them or export them as another file type *sigh*. I'll see if I can find some that I can put up...

I am currently working on a drawing for my boyfriend ^^. He wanted a specific picture done for his RPG, but he couldn't find photos to photoshop.. and I got frustrated trying to help him, so I offered to draw it, lol. I have a general idea of how I want it layed out and all that, so now I just have to get off my ass and draw it. I'll probably do it two sets (since it's two figures) for scanning purposes and post the lineart for each and then the finished piece.

Still looking for a job... and still offereing webspace at Green Tea Web Hosting. It's very hard to find a job around here... Anyone live around the Philadelphia, PA area and know of a job opening? Please help me.. .

I got my digital camera to work. Well... sort of. I put new batteries in it, but after 30mins or so it tells you the battery is low, but if you turn it off for a few minutes and turn it back on there's full battery again. *shrugs* It works, and I can load the pics on my comp, so I don't care. I'll get a better one when I have money.

I'm actually determined to make a header and footer for this thing now... I got PS Elements (not the greatest I know) with my pretty new scanner.

I got the beautiful scanner of my dreams, hense the big update of work ^^. My scanner scans slides! yeay! and film negatives ^^. The pieces I put up were all things that went into my AP art exam last year. I was quite proud of them, and upset I couldn't put them up because of how large they were ><;;

I'm officially done with finals ^^. I had to finish papers and send them in, so that was bogging me down until now, but NO LONGER! I now have the freedom to do the crap I actually -want- to do ^^. I'll be learning how to drive (because I'm pathetic and do not yet have my lisence), building a website for a local area hotel (and getting paid ), finally going out to Kinko's and getting those damned slides scanned and the pictures burned onto a disk, and getting a job!

Well.. the job part I don't particularly want to do at the moment, but hopefully I can find a good one... I need the money ><;; at least until I get paid for the website thing. There are a few sign shops around that I could probably do computer graphics for or something like that. I want something relavent to my major this time around... and no delis! *shudder*

Maybe I can get a job at Kinko's, lol ^^.

Anyway, I will be heading to Ohio in a few weeks or so to celebrate my dear cousin, 's graduation! Yeay! I haven't seen her in a while, and I look forward to seeing most of my crazy family in same place ^^.

Okay.. enough rambling, I am running off to update posts in my RPG for the first time in months ><;;

First of all: Sorry for my artistic absence. I swear, this summer, Kinkos. That way you'll get to see some of my older traditional art stuff along with whatever I can find of my Computer Graphics stuff.

Okay, If you've seen my last journal entry (or the forum post I made) you'd know I was advertising cheap webspace for sale by a friend of mine. Well, it has now turned itself into a business ^^! We've named in Green Tea Web Hosting, and are planning to continuously expand with any profits we get to allow for more space for people to buy/upgrade to.

We have account packages for personal sites as well as seperate ones for businesses an they're all cheap ^^. If you don't know how to build or code a website that's no problem. I'll be setting up a service to create and maintain personal and business webpages. I'm working out both monthy and yearly fees for those based on the type of package you buy.

The website is not up yet, but it will be soon. I have the general design and layout in mind. I just have to go through it with the boss man and post it. I have logo ideas, and I'll be doing various forms of them so they'll get posted here for you to enjoy.

When the site is up I'll post the link along with the final logo and a screen cap for you guys to look at ^^. And I'll set it as my website on dA. And I promise I'll put up a header and footer later ><;;

It has come to my attention that there is very cheep webspace being offered by a friend of mine, Dave, and I mean -very cheap-. I have signed up to buy webspace (and I trust him with my life).

You can get anywhere from 100 to 2000 MB of storage space. There are four different opptions to choose from that range from $30 to $100 -per year- (or $3 to $10 per month). You can upgrade your space and account at anytime.

Okay, so my classes worked out for the most part. I got my german class, my asian religion class, my dm class, and my art class (though the art class was the one I had to sub for my original).

I just submitted a few things I found. I managed to dig up the prints of five of my older pieces and I submitted four. My computer is being pissing about my stuff being vertical or horizontal for some reason, so I wanna wait for the fifth (it needs to me horizontal and my comp won't fix it ><.

Now, I will probably be scarce, as I will be doing my finals. My 3D one should go smoother this time around, but it'll still be a lot of work. My Document Paranormal one... well, we'll see if one of our group members survives... He scheduled three interviews for us this week and is conviently not telling us when and where they are. Joyous. I also have to finish my final paper for History and then I have my Preclac final, but that won't be bad.

Off to go romp to CVS to pick up my photos and then I must hunker down and write an essay.

Signing up for classes last SUCKS! ><;; Jerks jipped me out of one of my classes already and I don't even get to sign up until Thursday! I need to take an art class, but I also need to start taking my German classes, especially if I want to do a sutdy abroad to Germany. Do they care? No! Half the art classes are already cancelled or full and the ones left are ones I've already taken or that fall during my German class. There are two left that fit into my schedule (somewhat), but there aren't many spots left...

I'm doomed. I know it. My entire senior year will be me taking art courses because I'll have gotten jipped every year before. I can see this already.

I already have a list of my classes and their alternates listed so I won't have to get out of line to fill out another card. Yes, I said 'get out of line.' That's right folks. Albright doesn't offer its lovely undergrads online registration for class. We have to get up before the butt crack of dawn and WAIT IN LINE! Or camp overnight, but I refuse to stoop that low for this college.

And I refuse to take five classes a semester (our college gives you 4 creds per class, so we only have to take 4 a sem to graduate) when I have very time consuming art and dm classes. It's bad enough now with two dm courses and an honors. I sudder to think what it would be like with and art, a dm, a language, and two essay happy lecture courses.

Okay.. I have vented my frustration, a little. I will disappear and fume silently while writing essays and drawing storyboards

Yeah.. I have two essays due on monday.. and then another one due later this week...

I know I said I'd go to Kinko's and get that stuff scanned.. but I didn't. I was suppose to go driving while home, too, but that never happened. I have hinted to my lovely mother that I want the new Epson Perfection 4490 Photo scanner.. that scans *le gasp* SLIDES! She has hinted back that I might get it when I come home for easter ^^. Hopefully I do. Then I'll put up all that stuff ><;;

I'm hopefully taking a drawing class next semester! Yeay! That means I'll have plenty of stuff to put up ^^. I get last pick for classes, so we'll see if I get it, but I should. I'll be in Web Design too, so I'll put up screen caps of the cool stuff I make^^. We'll be working in DreamWeaver and Flash (which I have both of on my laptop *dances*).

Okay.. I'll go be sad now.. and try to hunt someone down with a frickin' floppy drive. I have photos on my floppies that I want to submit, but no one had a drive anymore... and my old computer that had one crashed ><;;. I don't want to buy a portable one.. that would just be a waste.. damn it.

I have to PhotoShop a Header and Footer for this thing tomorrow while at work.. I still have no idea what I'll do, but oh well. I figure something out.

Which means I'll be luring my mother to Kinko's with me, as I need her wallet until my checks clear (both are out of state checks.. bastards). Then I'll be scanning stuff to put up here and works of mine to start making my website with.

I'll hopefully be submitting stuff by next week and getting a few things up since my midterms are pretty much over. I'll have a bit more time now. I have other updating to get to, so I must be off.

I suddenly got a week-long free trial membership, and I'm quite excited. I'm also lacking in sleep, so that could account for my -bouncing- of excitement, lol. It's quite nifty ^^. It's like a tease, lol, so I might have to pay for a subscription after this if I end up liking it too much .

I'm not putting a header and a footer on this since it'll only be a week, but if I get a subscription after then I'll put some up ^^. I'm trying to finish up my midterm at the moment, but I head home for spring break tomorrow, and I will be -finally- heading to Kinko's! I'll get all my stuff scanned and put on CD or something so I can upload all of my other stuff that's too big for a conventional scanner.

Okay.. off to get frustrated with Maya ><;;...

My birthday was yesterday, so I'm another year older! Wee! You can tell I'm still fairly young when I get so excited about aging, lol.

Well, I got a bunch of B-Day wishes on my facebook, so if you have my facebook page, and wished me a Happy B-Day, then thank you ^^. Some of this will be posted on my MySpace, too, so if you know that then don't mind the repeats.

I have my 3D Animation Midterm coming up fast, and only have about three weeks to finish it, thanks to our retardedly planned Spring Break ><;;. Anyway, I may post my storyboard sketches here as scraps to see what people think of the storyline, and maybe a few sketches of my 3D Models to help me out. After that you won't see much of me because I'll be animating, modeling, rendering, and editing for the following two to two and half weeks. After I finish it I'll put it up on my web server and post the link here so you guys can see the finished product.

I also have a Document Paranormal Midterm to get done, too, but I don't know when that exact date is ><;;. Anyway, that's also a group project so it won't take up that much of my time.

I've been hired to build the website for the Political Science department, so I will probably have screen caps submitted here of that, too. It may take me a while to get those up, though, as I have to get the photos from the department together and get the coding in order. While working on my midterms, that is.

Huh. All that was pretty much just a predesignated excuse for why I won't be around here much. And when I am here I explained what for, lol.

Oh! Good news ^^. I don't need to take a History Midterm (but I do need to do that essay tonight) and I don't need to take a Precalc Midterm! And my Precalc professor gave us our grades so far (but we've only had one test, so it's pretty much that grade) and I have an A+!

Now I'm done with blabbling and must go run more errands ^^.

Yes, I said was going to get a few things up since my last journal post, but I've unfortunately been very busy. If I have the time in the near future I will be sure to update. I've started doing sketches for that Secret Ninja Children drawing, too, but I haven't been able to finish it.

On another note, I've heard of people having problems with the dA print accounts and was saddened to read 's latest journal entry stating that she won't be using dA for her prints any more. It's a pretty crappy situation, and I hope she is able to get it resolved, because I really love her artwork. [-Link-]

Yeah.. I have a few sketches I'll be doing soon... I have a great idea about secret ninja children... thank Karebear for planting that one ^^. That'll be up as soon as I can clear away some of my homework . I have a lot right now; papers, tests to study for, math, 3D animation project... *dies*.

I think I'm going to just break down and take all my work to Kinko's... That way I can scan all of my larger work and get them up. My larger pieces are my better ones anyway, and I'd like to have digital copies of my work.

I also may be upgrading my dA account as well. That and buying server space for my personal website.. a lot of stuff should be happinging this year ^^. I may have to do all new sketches for my website.. haven't settled on a layout design yet, but I want it to be my own work .

I have to update my FF at some point too... . I owe my fans at least three chapters of that.. probably more. I'll reload Word soon.. I now have Dreamweaver, Flash, Contribute, and Fireworks. Gotta love Adobe packages ^^. Expect short amusing little Flashes at some point this year, and I'll be posting links to see my 3D Animation stuff later. I'll have to put a 3D section in my website....
