No, really, I have...

Now, let me explain a month absense that may or may not have been noticed by my fellow deviants...specifically those inclined towards the Transformers fandom...

I fell in love all over again...with DragonBall Z.

I fell hard to the point where I watched the whole entire series (270+ episodes)...in roughly two weeks, maybe a little longer. I'm on my way to finishing GT (only for Goku's SS4 form!) and am contemplating watching DragonBall. I even bought the last volume of DragonBall and the first three of DBZ...my first real manga purchase in forever!

Now, when I first watched this anime, I was a preteen, if that. It was my first real exposure to anime (alongside Sailor Moon) and my first real love. It's probably why I tend toward the shounen category of anime instead of the girly ones, come to think of it...

However, when I was first exposed to it, I had no idea fandoms even existed. I didn't even know the term until a new love, Naruto, came into the U.S. market. At that point, I got on the net and have been corrupted ever since...and by corrupted, I mean corrupted by the shounen-ai/yaoi persuasion...:coughblushcough:

Then I fell out of love with Naruto and fell back into a series even older than DragonBall...namely Transformers...you people know the rest of that story, and I am still very much in love with it...I've committed myself by posting fanfiction, anyway

But somehow, or other, I fell back to DB...only this time I was armed with the knowledge that somewhere out there...there was going to be a fandom, more specifically...there was going to be a yaoi fandom...

And what a fandom...let me tell you! I thought falling to Transformers Slash was a shock...

Not that I don't love the canon pairings. (and sometimes not so canon) Goku/ChiChi and Vegeta/Bulma are very much sweet and must reads as far as fanfiction are concerned...as is the art! But there's just something about the other side of things...

So, as to what this has to do with Photobucket...well, I signed up one night, say at ten, just looking for some good group pics of my fav DB charas...I'm looking for a mean/cool wallpaper of Goku and Vegeta battling it out...

I didn't sign out til four in the morning...I was loving the screencaps and just kept going and going until I had scrounged all the 670+ pics that the Goku Vegeta search had conjured...oh, my eyes hurt...but I didn't even stop at Goku Vegeta. Oh, no. Piccolo was next...and then, I decided to stop being specific and just typed in DragonBall. I still have to get back to that...

How the heck is it gonna be like when i get around to looking for Transformers stuff? Naruto? O.o... : overload: And I thought DeviantArt was bad! (In a good way!)

So, this is my new obsession, at least it is alongside Transformers. I've found my way back to DeviantArt (YouTube and Photobucket have held me hostage...) and plan to upload some stuff soon...I hope. Even if my sudden fandom split has left me high and dry of plotbunnies (or I'm just drowning in so much of them I just don't know where to start anymore...) I have lots of pretty pictures!

SA's no strangers to structural fires. But this...

I've visited this Uni every year since I was a freshman, sometimes going as many as three times. You know, I go for those college visits, financial aid...sometimes just to volunteer. It's one of the most prestigious of the universities and Our Lady of the Lake University is an old and historic institution as well. Old Main, the building on fire, was built in 1895...

I never planned on going, but its a very beautiful campus. It's gotten to the point where I'd be comfortable going, just because the place has become so familar to me. It's one of those places that's always going to be there, ya know? That Old Main is in very real danger of collapsing, and that Sacred Heart Chapel is so close to it...oh, man, the Chapel...

It's heartbreaking. You can see a statue of the Virgin Mary from one of the spires with flames licking at it's feet! The picture is so morbid and yet so very real. I want to cry...

So please, even if you're not religious in any way, send a good thought to the people of the university. No injuries reported, thank goodness, just a lot of heartbreak for the potential loss of a very loved building.

Both are awesome artists and I've had the privelage of watching raz improve since she was a wee little sixth grader. First of all, we have the coolest teacher. She brought seven hundred dollars to spend on just us, and we used it all on good food.

We left for Corpus Christi on Thursday around 9:00 in the morning. Get there about 11:30 and we stop for lunch at Olive Garden. We get to the inn, make ourselves at home, go to the convention center for registration, I take my test, go back to the inn, go to the mall and then go to TGI Fridays! After that we went on a last minute supply run for my teammate at Walmart and then we back to the Inn

The next day, my teammates go to their skills competition, and while they're away, we decide to have lunch on the second story restaurant of the Omni Hotel called the Glass Pavillion. Holy crap, they had a kickass buffet. Their seafood gumbo was to die for.... After, we went to the mall, where I picked up The Transformers Ultimate Guide and a t-shirt for my bro and of course, for dinner where do we eat but at the most expensive restaurant I've ever been in, and will never enter again in my entire life?

The Republic of Texas Bar and Grill is located on the 20th floor of the smaller of the Omini Hotels in CC. It has an unobstructed view of the ocean, heck, we could see our Inn from the Restaurant foyer. On the four of us alone, us being the students, my teacher spent $354.76...the Axis Venison was worth it as was the Key Lime Tart and Virgin Strawberry Daiquiris...oh, I'm salivating just thinking back on it...of course, we had to budget a little the next day. We went to the State Aquarium in the morning and settled for lunch at Denny's...XD

The closing ceremony was at 3:00 on Saturday (today) which lasted until 5:00. Lot of fanfare that was...so many lights...@.@ Then we left, stopped at DQ at six for a bit of ice cream, and were back at school by 8:30. Oh man, I'm so tired...but happy I came away with something and content with the experience of going places I never thought I'd go

...but it was so worth it, even if we only came away with one medal...I have to get used to regular food now...XXDD

(I like to write about myself just to warn you. There are a lot of words!)


1) Needless to say, as much of an Transformer fan as I am now, I never paid it attention until the new movie came out. I ended up going to the theatres to watch it three times. I buried myself in the fandom, fell in love with the G1 characters, remembered I used to get up in the mornings to watch Armada, and fell in love with Beast Wars again (...I came across our old VHS recordings. Needless to say, I got the pop culture references this time around...) Everything kinda snowballed and now I can't remember a time I wasn't a transformer fan...and I can't imagine myself not one...

2) I used to be a hardcore Naruto fan (hence my icon...), but Transformers came around and now I know I'll never wait anxiously for the weekly chapter to come around again...

3) I love reading, so much so, that my mom got me a Jane Austen volume and was ecstatic about it. Pride and Prejudice, down. Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and Emma to go...

4) I play the role of secret keeper for my friends. Their parents are nosy and my friends are so paraniod that they're going to get caught with their boy's love manga, that I end up more or less keeping all of them. So, technically, half the manga I have doesn't even belong to me...figures.

5) I collect bandanas from the fleamarket. Most of them are stapled to my walls around my bed in a pseudo-wallpaper. I have everything from your normal pattern, to Bob Marley, an American flag, a Mexican Flag, dragons, tigers, cowboys, a motorcycle, chili peppers, lightning, and two custom ones that my family received from friends and family in prison...

6) I have an abhorrant amount of pride in my school. Dragons rule, ppl!! "We're green and white forever, on to victory..."

7) I live in a neighborhood one of the teachers at my school described as "ghetto mexican meets country." That's true and I say it with some pride. It's the smallest of the hoods around here, but also the oldest...it's also been my family home since my mother was raised here.

8) um...I used to listen almost exclusively to country, tejano, and oldies through my parents. It wasn't until I got into high school that I started tuning in to other music. I got to know rap and hip hop through my younger brother and older sister. I got to know reggaeton through a friend at school (Don Omar, anyone?) Linkin Park is now one of my fave bands, but I'll listen to any rock music so long as I can listen to it, if you know what I mean...

"A few weeks ago, some thieves broke into the Waiouru Army Base Museum and stole a number of medals, including several Victoria Crosses. The Victoria Cross is pretty much the Commonwealth equivalent to the Medal of Honour, given only for deeds that go far, far beyond the call of duty.

So far the police and the military have turned Waiouru upside down and found nothing. It's altogether possible that they're not even in the country anymore. If anyone hears anything about them, please, let the nearest NZ Consulate know, and pass the message on.

Those medals were earned by the blood and courage of New Zealand soldiers. They're our history. And we need them back.

Spread the word. The more people who know about this, the greater chance that somebody will hear or see something and tell the authorities about it."

Yeah. So, the Stadium's finally rid of all signs of flooding and we get to play our first real home game. We're no longer the 'dragons without a den' as our local news so lovingly called us.

It's gonna feel so good to finally sit in those stands on home side, the right homeside stands and cheer on the team.

And it was even better that a friend my family has known since the pop warner days was having his first game as a Varsity player. He had been JV-A team a week before!

The only thing was the game was a home game, but due to a flooded and damaged field, it had to be played at another district's field on a sunny Saturday at noon...I had to deal with the many umbrellas that blocked my view, but oh well...

So, yeah. My school's football team is awesome. Either that or I'm blinded by school spirit and bleed too much green and white (and black)...

(Warning long ranting and idea spewing ahead)

Gah. As if my recent Transformers addiction wasn't bad enough...

I still have Testy Conversations to work on (next is Ratch and Big O for those who have read. Fun...)
But no, my love for the '07 Movie, G1, Beast Wars and Armada have to collide!

1) Armada/G1:

By cannon, Starscream's spark is immortal, right? Ignoring the events of Cybertron and Energon, though integrating some of their ideas, add a love for literal TF crossovers, and not a melding, you have a monster!! (...a possibly slashy monster too but that's not the point...) So, yeah...I somehow explain how a severely injured A-Starscream ends up in the G1 universe...but it's not just that! Oh, no, not just that at all!

2) Pre-Armada:

Again, my love of Armada Starscream has to come and bite me in the aft. A Pre-Armada Starscream fic is in the works. Already 4 OCs have been named and profiled. The 'little' story also has a Mentor/Student relationship between TC and Starscream.

(That's cannon somewhere...just don't pay attention to the rest of the Unicron Trilogy, if you paid attention to it at all. I know the show was kinda childish and poorly done, but still!)

It's also a fic that I know won't have a happy ending (there's a plot!!! OMG...)...there's also the idea in the back of my mind that I'm gonna have to write a prequal and/or a sequal in order to feel that the story is complete...joy...

As I'm typing this, my mind is overloading. The situation looks worse when I read it! It's not that I'm not enjoying the influx of sudden inspiration. I'm loving it, in fact. It's just...where the hell is my mind putting it all?

3) G1/Beast Wars:

This plot bunny bit me a little before T.C., but its still buzzing around at the corners of my mind. It's not even a real crossover, seeing as G1 and Beast Wars/Machines are part of the same continuity. It does have time traveling in it though. (A person can't understand just how much I love Teletraan-1: The Transformers Wiki. Much kudos for fans in naming most of the Maximals pre-earth forms, and even coming up with pre-earth names!) The thing has no plot yet, seeing as I have no idea how Maximal Megatron would interact with Decepticon Megatron. Paradox's abound and my head hurts...it's worse than the Starscream ones. Much worse.

...I know there's one more...AHA!! My angsty one!!

4) G1/07 Movie:

You peeps read write. I'm going where no transformer fan shall have to go. I don't care that this one is coming in snippets that shall never see the light of day.

So yeah, in this little one, the bunny says that I should take the physical differences between the two 'verses literally. They look different, they shall look different. They also act different, too. Ratchet, for example, seems a bit more scientific in the movie, his scanning abilities are off the chart and he seems more battle ready than his G1 counterpart (I'm going off what I've read in fanficion. I'm too young to have seen the '80s cartoon. I vaguely remember seeing the movie some years ago. I don't have access to the comics and I'm relying on tech specs and wikis of all kinds to get the information I need. If only I was as dedicated to doing so much work for school...)

And Cybertron, for intents and purposes, is dead in the movie. The Allsparks gone and the situation is a bit more grave than the one shown in the cartoon. I said angsty for a reason. Yeah...I take some liberties with the limited knowledge the movie (and its prequal comic) give...there will be mentioned deaths, fyi...

So, yeah. I needed to rant and relieve the fustrations of having so many ideas in my head at once...and having them jockie for position to where I can't work on one for too long before I have to switch to another...

I also realize that most of these ideas are things most authors would want to stay away from. But if they pan out...I stress the 'if'. I have issues with creative blocks...
