This one might actually not be as random as it first seems. Miho is one of the few characters to hug Seto in the series, and somehow she managed to get away with her life after doing so. XD Though Seto was putting on a nice guy act at the time and was later revealed to be the not-so-nice guy we all know she clearly found him as attractive as she does any rich or mysterious guy, much to the annoyance of Honda and Jounouchi. xD While probably more one-sided than anything else this could still be a fun couple to work with for some season 0 humour.

This month we are promoting:

Nurseshipping (Mai x Shizuka) (written by: Vicky-V)

To me, this is one of those pairings which defines cute. It's also one of those pairings I love on both a platonic and romantic level. But seeing as this club is much more geared towards the romance side of things, let's take a little look at that, shall we?

These two help each other grow and through each other they get character development. Through her interaction with Shizuka, we see that Mai has a very caring side to her. She stays by her side, she puts her arm around her shoulders, she has Shizuka ride in the front of the car with her. She supports her. And that care is given back to her when we see Shizuka almost always at her side when Mai was in her coma state. Shizuka accepts the care Mai gives her and when they're together they're very relaxed and glad to be in each other's company. When Mai left the group, it was Shizuka who was the most visibly upset because she didn't want to lose her.

The characters connect very well and definitely have enough foundation for shippers to build on. Especially if you're a fan of the sweeter side.

Heartshipping--Ryou/Yuugi (written by: Sam Cyber Cat)

Fluffiest. Shipping. Ever. Or one of them at any rate. While at first glance this may seem like a mostly fanon pairing there was actually a bit of evidence for it in both the anime and manga versions of Series 0. As soon as Ryou walked into the classroom Yuugi was giving him lovesick eyes and Ryou in turn was very interested in Yuugi through his first story. Even when Miho was trying to get his attention it was plain Ryou only had eyes for Yuugi. And while the attraction wasn't present in the Duel Monsters series the two still have a friendship and plenty of adorable potentional for fans to work with. The two are often labelled as ukes, so prehaps it'll be interesting to pair the two ukes together for a change from the usual fanfic stereotype.

Frillshipping--Pegasus/Seigfried (written by: Sam Cyber Cat)

This pairing may not be widely known but it does receive about as much attention from the fanon community as Pegasus/Dartz does. There were two bits of evidence for the pairing in the show, the first being how upset Seigfried was that Kaiba had beaten him to making the deal with Pegasus, and the second being in the Japanese special ending where we see that Pegasus decided to employ Seigfried (and Leon) after all. Because of this its probable that Pegasus and Seigfriend would interact more after the series is over, and it doesn't take many slashy thoughts to give their interactions good fanfic potential. Other then what the show said their similar flamboyant natures and sense of style would suggest they'd enjoy each other's company. Combined with their designs that seem to compliment one another this pairing is just hot.

Yes, I know that we have the shippings promotions on the front page but surely more than one ship a month deserves a shout-out! So, I created this page.

So, you support a particular pairing. Maybe even more than one! But are you tired of the constant bashing that you are sad to see your OTP go through? Do you have a special theory as to why they think that they might work? Or do you simply want to shout out about how great it is?

Angstshipping (Malik x Ryou)

Oddly enough, this has become my favourite of the Marik/Bakura couples. Although there isn't as much evidence for it as there is for some of the others it would seem they'd have a very stable relationship and Sam likes that in fictional couples. Aside from looking cute together there's possibly two hints for this couple, the most obvious one being when Marik was carrying the injured Ryou back to his friends (Well okay, that was part of Marik and Bakura's plot so I'm not entirely sure if it counts o.o ) and the other one is from the Manga and often gets overlooked. When Marik first arrived in Domino city Ryou sensed his presence when no one else did. After that Bakura took over to track Marik down but it was still Ryou who sensed him in the first place. Possibly they have some kind of connection, more likely it was because they're both Sennen item holders but if that was the case Yugi should have sensed Marik as well. o.o It's something to think about anyway. After Battle City was over Marik made it very clear that he wanted to move on from his evil ways and out of the good guys I think Ryou would be most likely to helps him do that. THe reason being that Ryou isn't perminantly attached to Yugi's group of friends, being around them a lot may make Marik feel uncomfortable at least until he gets to know them better, so Ryou would be able to spend time with him away from the others when he likes. Also they've both been through the similar experience of having a darker spirit inside of them ruining their lives so they'd be able to relate to one another and possibly even find comfort from a situation that not many others would understand (Well... except possibly the kid with the blue hair and glasses from DNAngel who hosts Krad. Forgive my n00bism, I've only seen the first few episodes and his name slips my mind). Overall a couple that could work out after the series has ended, at least in my eyes.

Aptshipping (Hiroto x Isis)

To be honest I'd never seriously considered this pairing until by chance I had these two battle against each other in the "Falsebound Kingdom" game, but then it got me thinking, why not? Isis is a very mysterious character, so she often gets paired with other mysterious characters. While Honda ia a very normal character, meaning he often gets paired up with other normal characters. Both of those notions make sense, but what happens if you want to mix mysterious with normal? Well Honda being the definition of normal and Isis being the definition of mysterious this could be a good couple to choose. If you think about it Isis has spent her whole life surrounded by magic and mystery, and she doesn't really seem very happy. So perhaps that kind of stuff really doesn't appeal to her (Since she sees so much of it) and the idea of being with an average guy could appeal to her (Since she doesn't see much of average ). ~SonicCouplesSupporte has heart scales and plushies and queens. ~Dragonball-Romance has heart points, keychains and kamis.

So what do we have? Well, the point of winning part of the Duelist Kingdom was to collect star chips. So that's what our members will do; collect Star Chips!


You shall receive:

1 star chip for joining. You also get 1 star chip each time you vote in a contest
2 star chips for each piece of work submitted
5 star chips for submitting a piece of work featuring the shipping being promoted during that month. You will also recieve 5 star chips for entering a contest.
20 star chips for winning a contest


So what do you get with these star chips? Well, this is what:

20 star chips A pendant of a character of your choice
40 star chips A second pendant of a character of your choice. These two pendants will give you a necklace of any ship pairing you wish (for example, if you had a Yami pendant then you can take an Anzu pendant, which will pair them up and make a Yami/Anzu necklace ^_^). This will keep going, so with every 20 star chips you receive you will get another pendant. If you would like a threesome or more, than just let me know.
50 star chips You may choose any YuGiOh ship to be promoted by the club. This will last for around a fortnight but this may change, I'll keep you posted.
100 star chips You may request a picture of any YuGiOh shippings couple that you wish.
150 star chips You can choose your favourite YuGiOh couple that you can rule over forever. Basically, you become the Pharaoh for that couple ^^

Once you reach 150 star chips then the cycle starts all over again ^^

GENERAL

Q: Wait a minute...what the hell ARE shippings anyway?
A: 'Shippings' is the name given to all the possble pairings of YuGiOh. Just about everything is covered. Near enough full lists are given through the links displayed upon the front page.

Q: Blimy...that's a lot....Some of then include threesomes....or more! o___o
A: Yeah, I know ^_~ Don't worry, it's ALL good here

Q: There's a shipping I like which isn't on the list.
A: That's come up a few times. Remember, this list is fan-created and there are many characters in YGO, so some combinations wouldn't have been put in for reasons I don't know. I suppose they just didn't occur to whoever put this list together.

Q: Why are they called shippings anyway?
A: You know, I actually have no idea

Q: What's the point of this club anyway?
A: The same purpose of the Sonic and DBZ one. To bring together all sorts of YGO love!


SUBMISSIONS


Q: How can I submit something to the club?
A: Just send a note with a link to your work. It would help greately if you would put down in the note or in the deviation what sort of shipping it is. You don't have to but it does help the club out a lot. If not, it is a big-ass list that we have to look through

Q: Am I only allowed to send in fanart? I'm more a writer.
A: ALL fanworks are taken here. Fanart, fanfiction and fanmanga are more than welcome. Fanfiction doesn't have to be complete if it's a multi-part, just keep us updated if you can

Q: I have a multi part fic that I'd like to submit. Does it have to be completed?
A: No, but I would feel greateful if you would keep the club notified about the progress. It can be something as simple as a comment on the front page.

Q: I don't post some of my work on dA but would still like it featured in the club.
A: That's just fine. Just send a note with the link to your work, wherever it may be (fanfiction.net, live journal, your own website, etc), and we'll fix you right up

Q: Do I HAVE to submit something once I've joined?
A: You don't have to, no. You can just sit... ]]> ~Shippings
