Polymer Clay 101

What materials do you use?
I use three brands of polymer clay: FIMO soft, Sculpey Premo, Cernit. Polymer Clay is a type of clay that you can bake in your own kitchen oven - and no, it won't contaminate the oven or food. I use acrylic paint to paint the eyes and other details of the sculptures.

School started in August - well, one class. Officially school started in September and has kept me quite busy with all the coding and couting of bits and bots (little computer science humor :P). My left wrist has been a bit "weird" lately. If I put any pressure on it, that hurts. Like when I am doing push-ups or whatnot, that kind of pressure hurts. And also when I bend my wrist a whole lot, that hurts too. So I have been wearing this wrist-support-thing during the night to make sure that I don't accidentally bend my wrist too much while I'm asleep.

For someone who works with their hands it's scary when there's something wrong with your hands. My mom & grandmother have poor hands (aches, pain)... and I have probably inherited their problems. But, I can't be "sick" yet! I'm much too young :P

Somehow it feels like I've been away for a long, long time. Now, don't get me wrong, I have been reading all the comments and things almost every single day, BUT feels like I haven't updated this journal or posted much new stuff to my gallery lately.

This was bought from a summermarket in Savonlinna, Finland. There was a man who sold all kinds of lovely wallets and also bags. You can see that I have a matching bag to go with this wallet. Although, the bag was bought first and then a year after that I bought the wallet. As you can see both bag & wallet have been in good use, they both look a bit old and worn out. But that's ok! Oh and the little pins I have in my bag. The feather & heart were from a Red Cross donation thing (I think) and the dog is from a friend in Japan.

Got my very first own digital camera. It's an Olympus 1010. I carry it with me  everywhere. It also has a video camera feature! Very cool. Maybe I videotape some sculpture tutorials or..just...life.

I made a new poll "How much would you pay for the FIMO sculptures?" so be sure to anwser it. It's not that I'm planning to sell my stuff for $50 even if people would be willing to spend that much. I'm just generally interested in how much do you think little sculptures are worth.
