Seems it's been over a year since I last wrote a journal and almost a year from last submission. I'll try to activate myself here again. I'll start by trying to do this hundred words challenge thingy that's been going around.

The rules

I've had to really force myself into doing some work lately. I'm really bored during days and am just waiting for the school to start. I feel very un-energetic.

Saw Sin City yesterday. It was a good adaption of the comic but since I wasn't much fan of the original comic the movie didn't exactly move me either. I still enjoyed it and think that moviemakers should take note about how to transfer comics to the big screen.

I've got to eat something. Fried eggs... mmm.

I've been mostly sketching and planning lately. I've drawn some finished works also, but for some reason couldn't have been bothered to submit them here.

In other news, I'm going to go to our sommer cottage in Lapland for two weeks. I haven't been there in years so it's also a nice change. I've got some mighty big plans of making a comic while there, but I've had a lot of big plans and not so many have become true. Still my goal for this summer is to make some sort of a comic publication (omakustanne).

Hey, I also got this free subscription trial. Seems like there's very little difference and the thing I'd want most, search, doesn't work.

Right now, I'm working on a three page comic. Or rather, I'm waiting for the medicine to kick in and take the headache away so I can do the comic. I was supposed to have my wisdom tooth operated today, but with the sore throat, coughing and all that it didn't work out. Now I'll probably going to have to wait for another couple of months for it to be operated.

I've adjusted to living in the new apartment just fine. I miss the store right next to our old apartment. They threw lots of good food to the dumpsters, which I frequently scavenged. The stores next to us now have weird sort of huge trash deposit units (I don't know what they're called) which seem to be impossible to open.

I also bought this 14-15 euro inking brush. For now, It's been worth it. I hope it lasts a good while. Due to the unusually high price, I've been trying to take good care of it, though. I haven't even managed to loose that plastic cap thing which protects the brush.

Well, I have, but only sketches and stuff. Nothing finished and polished. Part of it is beacause I'm moving soon and I've been looking stuff for the apartment. Because of that I've visited a lot of flea markets. You find some good stuff on those. I've (or ) found three good adventure games for 2-4 euros each. And I bought binoculars. I like to look at the stars and I see more of those with binoculars. Though when people see me on the balcony or at the window with my binoculars, for some reason, they're jumping to the conclusion that I'm spying on my neighbours.
