Yesterday I spent 5 hours in the darkroom. Not much, but between classes and running an art auction for Peoria, it was a lil overwhelming.

Today I worked for six hours, got off of work, and opened up the darkroom, and spent six hours there chillun with some peeps.

And tomorrow I'll be dust spotting. Monday will be spent matting.

And I've also got to make two flash movies and finish my website for Multimedia.

And I've also got to do a design hisotry research project by Sunday.

Updates, as far as my art career goes:
-Commissions, I'm still working on them. I'm so so sorry it's taken so long, but three studio classes is really taking a chunk out of my free time.
-I made it into the BFA program. I had to display 12-15 pieces, write a statement, do a presentation to ALL the art teachers. It was stressful, but at least I moved up to a better place as far as my art education goes!
-I'm considering transferring to Columbia in Chicago. Nothing is too solid yet, and I still need to research and figure my shit out, but my goal at the end of ALL of this is animation. So I'm hoping that Fine Arts: Drawing and Multimedia minor can get me thorugh. Cross your fingers, folks

When Erin came over, we shopped and such... and I bought some hair dye. It was supposed to be blonde-er... but my hair is funky and it came out lighter but reddish... but not too much lighter... and a lot more reddish. Whatever, maybe I'll put highlights or that cheap lightening Lorel or whatever moose stuff in o_O

But anyways, my college orientation went pretty good. I signed up for my classes, and THAT was a frickin' stress load. [Background: What I want to do is classified as "Multimedia" at my college, and I won a Fine Arts Scholarship. Because Multimedia, though it is an art, is classified more as a communication, if I switched majors, I could lose my scholarship.] All in all, the academic advisor said if I did a double major, as long as one was fine arts, I could keep the scholarship. So, that was really my only choice. So, I'm doing a double major! Multimedia and art, baybee. OOOOOH YEEAAAAAAH.

So, SWEET! Right? I had to boot one gen ed, but I plan on doing summer school at the junior college at least once, and they said my schedule might clear up next semester. But, I am on an excellent start! I just want my gen eds done by senior year. Orientation was pretty fun! I met a bunch of cool people, I hung around with Devi, she found a roomie, I ran around with a buncha people at obscene hours... and we watched really weird wrestling movies in the lobby... but JEEZ, it was a blast. At the end of the last day, we went to a park and we all played softball, and Holly and I played volleyball. The food was pretty good over the weekend; especially on that day, we had hamburgers. My group ran around and made a movie about the "Top 10 Ways to Get Money from your Parents"... and whoa baby! We wacthed this Improv group the one night called BBQ Kittens or something, and GOD they were funny. Better than Whose Line at points. fo' REAL. I met a bunch of people, I got a bunch of FaceBook accounts... It was just a blast, I can't wait.... I'm gonna miss my parents, though, not gonna lie.

But yes, I didn't let you guys know, so don't think I was ignoring you all or anything! Just let me sort through these... one hundred.... and forty. three. messages.

But anywho, I'm kind of looking forward to this weekend. I've got orientation with Devi the 9-11th at BRADLEY! On the 8th, I'm going with my dad up to Wisconsin to visit my Wisconsin family! So, it's been pretty sweet out here... Yesterday I watched my sister's game. There was an obnoxious rain delay, and there was confusion with the field, but in the end, everything worked out They lost their first game, and like immediately started the second one. Thing is, they were at field thatr were, basically, in the middle of nowhere. So we drove around for twenty minutes, they team arrivbed late, and we started the game. These field were the frickin' ghetto fields. No joke! There were grass and weeds growing everywhere, the dugout consisted of a long wooden bench, the bleachers were muddy and broken, there was a total of three feet between different fields, AND the bathroms were disgusting... or so I heard. I heard like five people complaining about them and I didn't want to risk it Then, we went out to dinner at this Vic's place, and we all just kinda went there, so the staff was a bit overwhelmed at 40+ people just kinda showing up... SO ANYWAYS, I won THREE animal in one of those crane machines. It was amazing.

Today, I slept in, so I missed Heather's first game, but I just kinda bummed around downtown Springfield. I found a Coldstone Creamery and a really cool record store like in High Fidelity. I got Starbucks too My family came home, and we had a while until the next game, so we went to ABRAHAM LINCOLN'S HOUSE! Whoa, it was eh! haha, it was kinda interesting... but it was all history stuff... Iunno, I liked it for the most part :] We still had some time left, so I bummed around a Micheal's for a while. 'Twas fun. My sister played two games after that, the first one they won, and the second they were slaughtered It was still fun to watch.

I made some friends! They're all four and seven, though, but they still rock! This one girl told me she "couldn't hold her poo poos in anymore", and I threw her towards her mom. Unfortunately, I didn't get as much drawing done as I'd hoped... the little kids are so distracting!

But yeah, it's been fun overall, but because Heather's team lost 3 out of 4 games, I think we'll be heading home tomorrow morning D: It's no big, though, I like the car rides... (especially since I've got HM on DVD... and a portable DVD player!!)

So yesterday, Chris and I woke up early and we went to the Dunes with Rj and two of his buddies. We left around 11:00, and it was about an hour drive there. The first EFFING Dune we had to climb up killed me. I could do it if it were a mountain or rock or something, then I kept sliding down and my feet kept shifting and I was overall, sad. I finally got to the top, we scouted out a place to sit, and... yes So, we messed around for a bit and chased frisbees, and then Rj and his friends went off to get lunch, and Chris and I hung out on the dune.

We just layed around for a bit, but then, I got this AWESOME idea to bury Rj's big beach ball. So Chris and I did that, and then we found sticks and garbage and made a sand man :B Then, I jumped and rolled down the dune a few times. The third time, I was going into the water, and I lost my balance... sorta... like, I ran down the dune, and my torso got in front of my legs... and my legs were allllll the way back there, and I face planted. Don't think Chris saw. That's good. So, I just walked up and down the shoreline for a bit and put my feet in the water. Ooh, refreshing! I went back to the top, met Chris there... he buried me in the sand, and then I buried him. But, like, he was standing up, so I just started covering his feet...up to his knees.... I basically buried him up to his butt

Then, everyone came back with food and Wendy's, and I had a bacon cheeseburger thing (pretty good). Chris rolled down the dune, Rj rolled... basically everyone rolled down Dunes. And it was fun. We also went to the steepest Dune, and Chris and I just stood on top and looked out over the lake. It was pretty because you could see the Chicago skyline and the sun reflected on the lake all pretty :3

Chris and I stopped at a gas station and got Twinkies and Sixlets and BBQ Pringles (gross) for the ride home... and we came home, and I napped for a bit, then I headed out to Laura's grad party. When I got there, they were all just leaving for the movies, so I was like "OK!" I headed back home and Laura came and picked me up and we saw the Omen. It was pretty good, but the ending made me mad! Apparently, Satan controls the President! =O

By the end of the night, my knees and ankles were so sore (my joints get sore when I'm overtired) and I came home and crawled into bed. I couldn't sleep at first because they hurt so much. It was a pretty sweet day, I hafta make plans to go to the Dunes more often 8D

I talked to Irene and I'm probably gonna head on over to her grad party... and Sunday there's a party too, but I'm going to the Dunes during the day. Uhm, it was a lot of fun though. I didn't sit by anyone I knew, but I walked up and got so nervous about falling. It was weird becasue the entire ceremony I was like "Pssht! It's no big deal, it's just walking..." but I got up there and I was like "omg I'm gonna FALL and trip and sprain my ankle and everyone will see and do i grab the thing with my left hand or my right and when do i smile and should i flip my tassle or does someone else do it............." But yeah, I just walked up there and got it and it was fun.

After, I went to Kate's house for more pictures, and for cake and cookies and YooHoos and chocolate-covered strawberries :3 I tried to call people to hang out with around 11, but they were all tired or busy..

So Chris and I just went home and watched Boondock Saints... well, he did. I ended up falling asleep fairly quickly. I was tired!

But graduation was tons of fun. I was in the last row. When everyone threw their hats up, I threw mine up, but I wanted to catch it and/or another hat, but the started walking me out right away and the wind blew them forward so I don't have a hat, but I've got a tassle and my gown. So I just stared at it for a bit... and then my dumb cat (that I still and will always love ) bust out from behind the computer meowing really loud... like "oh man, I was just ALL tangled up".I turned on the comp, and nothing was saved IT WAS MY LUCK. I was gonna write a journal about it... like "OMGZ IM ANGRY", because I really was, but then I decided to go to bed.

American Idol was AWESOME last night. I thought it was cool to have a bit of an actual concert and to bring back the top 12. Chris and Kelly were back And whatshisface won the Look-A-Like/stalker!!! award, and Clay Aiken came out right behind him. He freaked out more than I would have! He's so gay! to each his own, I guess. But Taylor totally won, and deservedly too. I liked Kat, but what she does has been done already. In my opinion, the final round should have been between Chris and Kelly, BUT WHATEV. It was pretty sweet.

We had a lunch party today. Pizza Lunchables rock. And so does soda, and cosmic brownies, and cookies, and Cheetos, and Ring pops It was pretty sweet haha We had one of the deans take a picture of the lunch table. And earlier today, Kate and I just kind of wandered around the school for a bit because my mom wanted a picture of the senior art show. So we went up there, got a picture, and wandered. All the seniors in the show had to take it down today. It went down a day early Oh wellz, I'm moving my stuff to the park district show, so that's cool

And there was a lil Mosaic party. I went to that, DDR'd one song, and left to move my art show show into the car. mmmyep! fun!

But American Dancer or whatever is going to be on soon, so I'm going to split. While watching that, I need to work on my art projects. I'm not looking forward to working all weekend >____<

So when Nicole came, she brought a friend with, and it was OK at first, but then they started fooling around, throwing ice, locking each other in the walk-in... ok whatever... but they continued for basically two hours. So I asked Chris to stop by, and he brings Heather, and her first words are "Can I have a cookie?". YEAH, cool. Well, I talk for a bit, but I continue cleaning up, but now it not only the original mess, it's Nicole and her friend's mess too. I began to take down the bane, and I asked Nicole and her friend if they could put some veggies away from the freezer up front, and they said ok. So Nicole closes early. I begin to move the food from the bane into the front freezer, and I go in back, and two things are still sitting on the prep table. So, I'm like D: and I go to put the away, and they've basically thrown all the others in there, so I just did the same. I finished putting stuff in the front freezer, I checked what else I had to do, and I told Nicole I was going to clock out. She asked if I could wipe down the bane, and I told her I did basically everything else in the store. And she just let me clock out.

Seriously though, all she had to do was finish numbers and wipe the bane down. And both her and her friend are there to do it. I wasn't chatting to my buddies when I was working. I talked a bit, but I kept doing what I was supposed to. And seriously, I did chips, temps, unloaded bane, unloaded front freezer, swept, mopped, sauces, wrapped the cookies and half-loaves... I was there from 4 until like 11... she got there at 9:30.. She did basically nothing all night, and she asks me to wipe down the bane after everything that I did... Jesus! I mean seriously, can you see where I'm coming from?

Well, first I found out I made it into the Senior Art show. Very exclusive, only seniors, and we could include work fro outside of school. SO YAY!

THEN, I found out I had 4 pieces in the school art show, so w00t!

LATER, I discovered that I had won a first place with my animation project, and an honorable mention with my self-portrait! So I've gotta act surprised tomorrow, I only found out because my teacher and I gossip XD

It was a delayed start so I went out with my lovely Chumply for breakfast. I drove! School was kinda boring, more of my nails broke/fell off, and I've got a test tomorrow on Taming of the Shrew. I stopped at Subway real quick and called some people to try and make 'em cover my shift. There was an awards assembly tonight and Art Club had the most participants attend. Six. X3 haha, it was fun anyways.

But I've gotta work on a statement and business cards for the Senior Show!

I just watched Donnie Darko, and oh man... each time I see that movie... It's frickin' sweet! I don't understand exactly how Patrick Swayze's roll fits in (the Love ----- Fear dude), but I picked up a lot more this time than last. *Like*, what exactly Frank's roll is, and why he did what he did, so on and so forth.. stfu, it made me happy!

Today, I went back to Subway. It was my "first day", if you really want to call it that... I worked with my Chris! We made beautful sandwiches together. I filled the chip rack (oh, how I missed thee), and I made mots of sandwiches and panned bread. It wasn't half bad! ...the second time around. I got all the Suwbay gossip from Nicole, I have been missing out!! But, yes, Chris and I made lots of sandwiches. I did a lot of register stuff, it was cool Nicole walked to Dunkin Donut and brought back donuts for us. It's cool because they were free (Subway and Dunkin Donuts trade all the time). So yep! I worked 10-3, and Chris worked 9-6. It was kind of uneventful, and no one stopped in But I still really enjoyed being with my Chumply in Subway!!

Yeah, I went home, and kinda just bummed around today tho. I looked up some Mudvayne pictures for my Graphic Design Project... and I set up a stuffed animal still-life for an Art Donation I'm going to make at a Children's Hospital around here. *BUT* my sister took te digicam to her softball meeting, so I could photograph it. So I just didn't start. I even dropped the cool blue light I had and smashed the lightbulb after Donnie Darko. i M TEH SAD. But I'm over it.

It was such a nice, Spring April day! Oh yes yes... Days like these make me excited for Summer! And for my Europe trip! I love winter so so much, but seriously, summer is great too! Just... everything excites me, I guess. Well, I'm out!

Let me begin with Thursday. Regular school day, la de da, after swimming I sat on something wet and walked around all day with a big wet spot on my butt. Regular day. I got home and around 5:00, Chris stopped by, we printed out directions, and we headed for Allstate Arena. I was freaking out on the ride there, notsomuch in the beginning, but on the expressway, I was so bad! Chris and I didn't have money for the toll booth (we gave one guy sticky change and he said he'd write us up ), and he almost went in the IPASS lane once and I screamed. I kept thinking we were taking the wrong directions or we'd passed an exit.. ALL IN ALL, we made it there, so that part went fine.

The concert was pretty sweet. 10 Years played first (they sing the song "Wasteland"), and they were great. The singer was pretty cool, I, like, wanna be his friend. He talked a bit after his songs, lol and he said "Guys get your girls out of the pits, unless you like that roughed up caveman look... then, keep 'em in". We were sitting kind of high, but we had a great view of the pit area, though there weren't many pits, to be honest. Chris was dissappointed, but I could care less. Anyways, 10 Years was great, they put on an awesome show. They sang Autumn Effect (a little slow and out of place, but good nonetheless), Wasteland, Through the Iris, and a few other songs I don't know the names of.

The Almighty Mudavyne played next, and I think they did great. I say I think, because honestly, I couldn't hear them much. The bass was pumped up and overpowering. What I did hear, though, was good. They played Dig, Nothing to Gein (*creepy*), Determined, Happy? ("I'll bet you're drinking, maybe smokin' some weed, but whatever ever you'er doing, I'm sure you're..." -Chad), Not Falling, Silenced... It was pretty sweet, I really enjoyed it.

Korn came on last, and they were excellent. Davis did an awesome job, they were much better than I expected.. 'cept for one thing. Between songs, they had these annoying, repetitive filler things... one of them went on for eight minutes DX Not cool. I counted. They had, like, movie things behind them as they played. Crappy animation things that I could do much better, but still, the effect was pretty sweet. They played a bunch of songs I didn't know (either really new or really old), but I remember hearing Twist (haha YES!), Twisted Transistor, Got the Life, a little bit of Freak on a Leash (they played one "song" that was like a collage of some hits), and Blind. lol The guy playing the bagpipe (was that Davis?) was headbanging.. it was weird! But Korn put on an awesome show, I would have bought a shirt had they not all had that stupid pale little boy on them. *ugly*

It was raining outside, so Chris, our group and I had to run to the cars. Chris and I took the easy way home (a street right by my house goes basically straight up to Allstate.. I was unaware of that). I took a shower when I got home, I smelled like smoke EW!, and went basically straight to bed. I had to be up around 5:45 the next morning to pack for my overnight trip to Bradley... which I will write about later tonight. I hafta celebrate Chris's birthday with him!

So yes, it was totally great. I think I liked 10 Years best (they sound a LOT like APC and a lil like Shinedown for you fans out there). I could hear them and they didn't have annoying fillers so they're cool in my book! Korn, though, definately put on the best show... if it weren't for those freakin inbetween noises D:

*but* I got to sleep in and my dad drove Heather and I to school. Before I left, they had a pile of stuff on the table. I opened the gift, and I'd gotten some oil pastels and boards for oil painting, and a balloon, some ribbons, and a sweet sweet card ;~; We left. Some ignorant Special Ed lady almost head-butted our car, then dad messed with her, so I was happy! At school a buncha my buddies wished me a happy birthday. Some retarded Art Fundamentals kid ate my frickin' Starburst from my still-life, but I'm over it; it was kinda funny. I saw Dana and Melissa like I always do before Phys Ed, and they each got me presents. They're so sweet! I got a lil candy basket from Dana, and candy/socks/card from Melissa. <3 I got my lil pot back from the kiln-room or whatever today, too. It looks pretty spiffy So, I had a cool day at school, my buddies all remembered and I felt all happy and special all day.

As I was walking towards the bus, I walked outta the school doors, and Chris was there! He stayed home from school so he could see me, AND he had good news. Like, he got a job at my Subway and quit McDonalds! That was cool! At home, I opened a present from my grandparents (a couch cushion!!!), and I filled out an application for Panera Bread and dropped it off. Chris and I slingshotted (o.O) paintballs at stuff for a while until my birthday dinner! Oh man oh man oh man! Pancakes, baybee!

So then I went ot work, kinda boring day, I did some office work, I drew and sketched some stuff, I'm way behind in Photoshopping, I get it I get it... but I get off and get home (and wait for Heather to get home too), and my mom made me a pineapple upside down cake! I blew out my candles and all that fun stuff, and we all ate it, and it was fun

I'm so so happy my predictions were wrong once again, I hate those terrible moods I get in D: I'm so happy today, my birthday was so much fun! Now, all I gotta do is go out to buy cigarettes and lotto tickets lol

Now, I've just gotta finished the picture I was working on, read a bit before bed, and go to sleep. I took a shower, which was incredibly refreshing after today, and I'm gonna get to bed relatively early.. because I'm a lazy girl who likes to sleep XD I can't deny it.

So yessirree! I think I have artblock, because even after Chris and I spent a fun 4 day weekend together almost the whole time, I can't think of anything to draw. I haven't drawn any Alyssa/Chris/SD/Null pictures in a long time, except when I force myself to. Maybe everyday after school, I'll just draw while I watch the teeev. This is thje longest I've had a sketchbook (since July) and it freaks me out Well, I'm gonna work on it.

ooh, tough day today. lol im just kidding, but heather and i stopped at subway before i went to the park district, and i think i might reapply there late february or something... after valentines day which, by the way, i'm excited to spend with Chris... AGAIN... our third Valentines, how special <3

But work today went good; I had to prepare some flyer for my mom about a junior high dance. I had to copy and then cut them and count them into 36 groups of 26, so not hard, but time consuming. Then (oh yes, it get better), I put some flyers into the preschool registration booklets. I worked on some homework afterwards wooooooo...

It kinda irks me though, because I'm supposed to be out by nine, but the teacher extended the class so it's 9:15. Ok, and THEN she sits in there and chats with the kids and their parents. I'm like "C'MON I GOTTA LOCK UP!!", and I get all angry. So I turn off the lights and lock up everything except the multi-purpose room... yet they still remain. D8 So, I was home at 9:30 tonight. Which kinda sucks because I had some computer homework I had to do...

oh well, I'm a senior who gives C'mon, I'm not always like this!

I'm gonna head to bed, it's 10:17, by gum! o_O uhm, yeah... i just want to wake up on time is all. I'm crossing my fingers for Chris!

We went to Kate's house to ring in the new year, and that was so much fun! Chris came with, and him, Kate, and I played guitar for a bit. We brought Brendon and Jezebel to meet Charlie. We chatted with Nick took some pretty crazy photos... we talked about emo pants and Topher... and stupid, ugly Angelina JolieGross.

When midnight came, it was so loud (yay for general statements)! We're poppin' things, and huggin' people, and drinking stuff, and ringin' ringers... I got my first kiss of '06 like 10 seconds after it happened. I drank my sparkling grapejuice... I tried my mom's champaigne. That, my friends, was the GROSSEST BITTEREST THING ever to have slithered down my throat. I almost spit it out, freakin' nasty! Kate, Chris, Nick, and I had a grand ol' time!

Chris came back home and spent the night at my house... We watched Kronk's New Groove until like 3:00 in the morning. I got tired at the exact same spot as I did when I first watched it. I kissed 'im goodnight and went to bed after that. I called him from my cell after I went to bed. lol I had to have then goodnight cell call... even though I felt like one of those crazy girlfriends :/

This morning, I found out he hadn't slept too well because of your ding-songing clock... But I woke him up and kissed him goodmorning and it was so perfect :3 We watched Power Rangers, and then ate breakfast with my mom. She made this really good hashbrown/egg/ham dish... OHSOGOOD. Chris and I took a short walk, and he got some stuff off his chest. It was so nice, I love that kid to no end.

But I hear the table getting set, so I'm going to split. I need to make myself some new year's

Then, my Grandma came over and we made cookies! That was lots of fun, so sister threw vanilla into the beaters and it splashed all over my grandmom We tried to make checkboard cookies, but everyone forgot how to lay them out in the checkerboard pattern. For a minute, we made swastika cookies x__X no joke! haha, in the end we just kinda ad-libbed it, and they are now Christmas camo!

Chris and I played Diablo for a bit... I ran Heather and her buddy to the park to go sledding. Then, I ran over to Target real quick to pick up the last portion of Chris's present. It's gonna be great!

I'm all excited for tomorrow! Christmas Eve! We'll be heading to Church around 3:00, and then to my Grandparent's house... my whole mom-sded family will be there, so that means Kate and Bill and fun! Chris is even going to join us for a while this year! He's coming to Church with us (the mass we go to every year is so pretty) and then over to my Grandparent's house until they kick him out Which they won't, so he'll be there forever!! *laughs maniacally*

Chris and I headed out to Sound Lab later that night. His buddy, Ren, followed us there... and we met Adam there too... It was really cool inside. The area where the concert was held was about the size of my living room, and it was all black, and there was a bigger room, like, off to the side. There was a piano, a buncha TVs playing a Slayer DVD, a Sega Genesis and some games, and then 3 practice rooms off to the side. It was really comfy, and cheap too, a really fun time.

So we saw three local bands: Grade A Meat, Krison Reign (they were awesome, great work Tim!), and some other band... They were pretty cool. There were a buncha mosh pits, and this annoying girl kept jumping in there and I was like KILL HER!!!!!!!! I saw Irene there. Chris stepped into the first mosh pit, took two steps, was leveled, then dragged up and shoved back in... eek! Yeah, maybe not my thing, but they're still fun to watch

So afterwards, Adam got lost and didn't end up coming to my house, and Ren had to go home, so Chris and I went to my backyard and lit up our GIANT FIRE and roasted marshmellows. Then, we took this scarecrow thing that we stuffed with newspapers around Halloween time, and threw him in there too XD That sucker lit up like... uhm... well, he lit up really big.
We went inside and started watching Emperor's New Groove, but I was so tired... Chris left, and I fell asleep, like, immediatly. But I had so much fun! It was so cool seeing people I knew up there perfroming, and actually doing really good! And the bonfire was just lots of fun 8D

Yeah, I went to get them pulled this morning... I was nervous yesterday, but I was too tired this morning to care. We left and consulted with the guy... he told me I only needed my bottom two out, so that's what we did. In the room, she had me put the laughing gas on my nose, and I didn't feel much, but then he had me squeeze onto the arm of the chair and flicked my hand a few times... then needle'd it x_____x He said I'd feel a little funny in a few minutes... and the next thing I knew I was being walked to the "recovery room"... and felt perfect. I think I had a dream too, I remember orange for some reason...

Driving home, I kept playing with my lip. It was still numb, along with my chin and such. I was pinching it so hard, mom said I should stop or it'd get bruised lol that'd be crazy...

Inside, I remember walking in, and just dropping onto the couch. And that was it. Mom came and took off my shoes, gave me an icepack and walkd away. Around 11:45, I woke up and turned on Unsolved Mysteries. I just kinda chilled and napped and watched TV and Home Movies Season One.

Chris stopped by around 5 o'clock me thinks... Awww, he was so sweet, he drew me a Squibble, wrote a card, brought me flowers, and delivered a card from Pj (thanx! both of ya <3) He left after about 5 minutes, but that's all I wanted... I was so drowsy, and I felt all nasty and drooly... lol and I know he doesn't care, but YEAH.

I ate some applesauce and started feeling a bit sick to my stomach... so I had some jello and felt worse. I sat in front of the bathtub for a while, but I felt better before I threw up (thank God... that's so nasty). Then, I got softserve icecream. I ate the icecream AND the mooshy cone! Food!

My Holly Babe stayed near me all day. She was laying above me on the couch when I napped... by the bathtub, she'd next to me for a bit or by the sink, then she'd go... and check up on me again... and she fell asleep in my lap watching Miss Congeniaity... she hasn't fallen asleep on my lap since we got her, I think :3 I mean, she cuddles with me at night when we go to sleep, but otherwise not. She sitting right here on the computer desk right now. Just chillaxin and being there for me <3

My mom picked me up after school and we went right to the dentists office. He used a lil laser thingy (I had to wear glasses ) and shaved down my lingual frenulum. I guess, because it was attached so close to where my teeth are, it was caused me to tongue-thrust... which in turn caused my teeth to shift a bit Well, whatever... it kinda pinched as he was doing it... it felt weird o.O and now it's just sore, but I can stick my tongue out farther!

Then I went to the Park District and worked... I did my homework and read Beowulf... and I also progressed a lot on an ink landscape I'm working on Happeh!

Besides the fact that our school is so crammed that every senior with a freshman sibling has to share a locker (aka me) and the school's insane heat problem, I really like it! I know people in most of my classes... well, all of 'em now that I look. And I made some pallies in physed AND NOW... I'm in Graphic Design 1 with Lisa and my buddy Kapec! I don't think I've ever been in an art class with her, so I get to see her in action (Lisa, I gotta see your sketches) and Kapec! OH KAPEC! I haven't been in classes with her since sophomore year!

AND NOW ONTO EUROPE!! Sandoval, my graphic design teacher, said that some people had dropped from the trip, and there were spots open... so I was like "Hook me up! I've got a job... so hook me up!" It's with the art department... OMG! I'm gonna be going with the best fruzin ever, and her name is Kate! Lisa is going too, which will be awesome because it'll be like a party!! Some friend of Kate's is going.... so there's 3 people right away! I thought we could room together, because rooming with strangers would be weeeird SO, on this trip, I will be traveling to London, Paris, Venice, Florence, Rome, Pompeii, and the gardens where Monet lived and drew!!! I'll see all the Roman archetechure, the Eifel Tower, the Mona Lisa, the Luve (or however it's spelled), the Sistine Chapel, and OMG! The total cost of the trip is $4059, and so far I've contributed $150 towards it... it's a lot, but totally worth it. It covers admission, hotels, food, airfare, everything!! Oh boy, everyone! Europe!

I'm quite a happy little child at the moment, school pretty nifty for me, none of my classes look lkike they'll be giving me too much homework... And next semester, I'll be in Animation 2, Drawing 2, and Graphic Design 2!! so, le w00t for Alyssa! School's going good, Subway's going good, and I'm traveling to Europe with 2 awesome people next summer!

I'm out! My mom and I are going to Jewel-Osco Lata all!

We drove there along LaGrange, how we always drove to see my grandparents before they passed away... Boy, was I feeling nostalgic... on the way home we listened to 95.5, smooth jazz. It was just like always.

We got there, and my uncle Craig is laying in a hospital bed in the living room. I saw my painting right there, along with a few colorful letters I'd written him. A picture on the wall was slightly crooked. But, man, he just looked so weak... ;___; I hate doing this; I feel like such a freaking whimp right now bawling onto the computer... Well, yeah... I gave my Aunt Lynn the cookies, and we talked for a bit about my work, and me smelling like sandwiches, and all that fun casual stuff. My Auny Sandy was there too... I guess Uncle Tim was running back up to Miluwakee to get their stuff for the night. Uncle Craig sounded so weak... he talked in a whisper, I could barely hear him most of the time. We tried keeping the convo pretty lighthearted and stuff... He asked for the pictures to be spun. That way, they were at an angle, and I guess they were easier to see. They were really pretty fall pictures. But yeah... my dad was just talkin' to him and all, and God... I coulda just cried. I stopped myself from it a few tmes, because if I started, I wouldn't stop. I mean, it's important enough that he's my uncle, but he's also my dad's brother, and to see a sibling like that... I hate cancer. It makes a person look absolutely famished. I'm just happy, though, that he realized what what going on. I guess he asked my dad yesterday if he knew about his longevity, and my dad said "Yeah, Craig. How do you feel about it?" And he said "I think I'm fine." How freaking brave is that?!? He knows he's dying, but he's accepted it and he's not getting down about it.

But, I don't think he knows sometimes what exactly is going on... he said something about dropping a cigarrete, even though he wasn't holding one. My dad and Uncle Tim just slyly took one out of the pack and set it on the table for him. My dad and I were talking about my rollerblades, though, and he asked a lil bit about them, like "How good are you?" or something like that. A few times he tried raising his hand, but he just gets weak and lets it drop. I think he liked to readjust the picture frames and spin them. He looked so different too... I'm not sure, but I think sallow is the word to describe it. It just breaks my heart to see him that way... and so thin. I remember being little and being at Grandma's house for Christmas, and just calling him "Craig". He... he was just a really great person... I really hope he realizes that.

My mom said it'd only be a matter of days.

My sister showed him some of her pictures from Florida and the Busch Gardens. I really hope he understands how much both Heather and Iare going to miss him. When we were little, we thought he was the funniest uncle in the world. We'd see him at Fourth of July's at the pancake breakfast.... He and Aunt Lynn... and he'd be wearing that hat he always wore.

As we were leaving, I got up and stood by his bedside... I told him it was nice seeing him again. I swear to God, I thought I saw him wink at me. Oh my God.. I was like gone then. I just started crying a bit, but I pulled it together long enough to get into the car. It just blew me away... like he's sayin "It's OK Alyssa..." *sigh* I just can't get over the fact that he's only got a little bit of time left... It's just unbelievable after he's been here for so long... And it came up so suddenly too. Not like, we found out yesterday, but I think maybe a year ago he had just found out he had this cancer. God, I feel so bad for my Aunt Lynn. She and my Uncle have just always been there and together. And they had tp put their dog to sleep just a short time ago... it's just terrible. All of it.

I really do admire how brave he is, though. That's what I wanna be. Brave.

BUT YEAH! I bought Chris lawn tickets to see Velvet Revolver, Chevelle, and Taproot... heck yes? yeah. heck yes. So, I'm all excited! It's going to be raining again tonight, and Tweeter is an open pavillion place... and what's better? Dev just called and offered Chris and I skybox tickets! So, along with being RIGHT THERE AND UP, we can mozy all over the place, and run and jump in the lawn if need be!

Good= My mom, dad, and I drove up to NIU today to look around.... really nice colege, it was kinda on a whim. We were gonna go to Elmhurst and St. Fracais but went to NIU instead. I'll write a bit about it in my college journal thing. Before that we registered at school... I got a gazillion art classes. Therefore, I was mostly happy. ALSO, Lisa came over and gave me Wisconsin shaped cheese. THAT WAS COOL.

Bad= I was watching Trading Spouses and my dad came in and told me to turn the volume down. He told me that my Uncle Craig's surgery was really... iunno. Like, the doctor told my Aunt Lynn that there's nothing else really they can do. The cancer in his bladder has basically spread, and its eaten away 3/4th of his liver. So, my dad's going up there to take him out of the hospital tomorrow, and just let him be at home... Basically, he said we might have 2 weeks with my uncle, or two months. Which... sucks.

I just kept thinking that it's my dad's brother that he's watching deteriorate... and my sister's in Florida. I hope my mom has the sense not to tell her while on Girl Scout vacation unless something really serious occurs. That'd ruin it for her. And, his limited time... I really hope I've done all i could do to let him know that I really care... *sigh* He was so thin at Heather's graduation... It really sucks how this all turns out... And, the worst part is that I know there's not really gonna be a positive outcome.

So if you all could really be here, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not lookin' for pity or anything, just support I guess... Keep him in your prayers, too, if you're religious.

Those softball pictures... for each of the 12 team members... I just finished. We're leaving at six this morning... I have been working straight from 9 PM to 5Am aka right NOW. And I also worked on these for maybe 3 hours beforehand. And that was just the comp stuff... EEEEEEEERSHVDLKVDASJ! I'm so angry!

Well, we're leaving in an hour... and I haven't snuggled with Holly all night... nor slept, but its a long drive so maybe thats best... XP

Oh... and I hafta pack still. woooooooo....

Well, I hope this vacation picks up. It kinda sux already, and I haven't even left X_X

We're going to Colorado again for my sister's softabll tournament. Yes... we went there last year as well. Yay for Heather oriented weekend! Yay for Heather's vacation with 12 friends! Today was the year and a half anniversary. God, I love that kid, even if he's a jerk and makes fun of the noises I make sometimes. Other than that, I couldn't love him more. These past 18 months just flew by, and I don't think I'll ever regret anything that's happened. Around our 1 year anniversary, I got really depressed and thought of breaking up with him, just because I'm only in highschool and I should see lotsa people and stuff... but I decided not to (obviosuly) because why ruin a good thing? I really do love him, I miss him when he leaves for two hours. I hate having him go to work, but I really prefer him to... he needs his ca$h Seriously though, I've done more with this kid than I've ever done by myself; we've been to countless movies, a few concerts, DDR parties, Odyssey Fun World, sushi places, dances, Proms, baseball games, Taste of Chicago, Tinley Fest, Evanston, Indiana, Bradley, and God I love that kid! He's my biggest inspiration, and a lot more than just a boyfriend... he's my best friend right alongside Dev and Kate. And everyone else because I love all my friends.

We went to Bradley today and just hung out. We.... or, uhm, actually he... pushed Pj in the cart at the grocery store, we drove to Hidden Cove, found that it was closed, so we went to the mall, and we exploded things . And we had crepes. OH I love breakfast foods. Then we came home, and each of us fell asleep on the couch

And just a few minutes ago, my sister and I were sitting on our front porch/slab of concrete watching the neighbors set fireworks off... they have a lot! They've been doing it since 2... consistantly... and it's nearly 10 right now. And they're not whimpy fireworks either... they're like hardcore, BlackCat professional shapes, spinners, boom thingies, fizzers, cascading fireworks, and I love it. They set one off sideways, and it went into the neighbors roof.

A bit of bad news though, I found out my dad is working tomorrow on the fourth, in the morning. Therefore, we can't go to Mt. Prospect for the pancake breakfast and baseball game like we've done for so long I can't even remember... My traditions are just going down the crapper. Seriously, Fourth of July was the most fun holiday ever. We'd go to my Grandma's on the third, go to the carnival, stay the night, go to the breakfast/game/parade, then come home and watch the fireworks at my other Grandma's house. Since then, my Grandmother has passed away, so since that happened we haven't been to the carnival and spent the night, obviously. We stopped going to the parade because we didn't know anybody in it. Thats Not The Point! *sigh* w/e, my mom doesn't go to the baseball games anymore because they've lost their thrill (last year i was there alone, nobody else's wives came either). and now they've cancelled the fireworks display at the local highschool. Therefore, no more carnival, no more spent night, no more breakfast, no more game, no more parade, no more local fireworks... we're making alternate fireworks plans, but still its not the same. And, I'm the only one who seems to care. Figures... I'm just a creature of habit, I guess.

But, I'm gonna split. Chumply is due over here any minute, and we're gonna go for a stroll... Later
