It may be a little late, but I'm finally getting around to my New Years Resolutions. Keeping it simple, and hopefully doable. Update at least once a month (and the journal at least twice that).

I'm just having to make time for my art and writing, otherwise real life's going to steal all my time. At the very least, I want to finally finish some of this stuff.

For right now, its time for bed.

Well, two weeks into the vacation and I find out that I might not have a job left. Some "brilliant" minds in the county and city councils have decided that the public library isn't really important to the people and cut our budget by over a quarter.

At best this means we'll have to cut our hours. At worst we'll have to cut our hours and just not buy any books this year.

Come on people, the only one's your hurting by this penny pinching are the kids who need us the most.

I started writing again, promised myself that I'd spend at least an hour a day writing something, not counting the time it takes me to retype the stuff.

It's actually been fun, though I scared silly about submitting anything. I have absolutely no one around here to proof any thing, and as much as I love writing, English was never my strongest subject in school.

Oh well, hopefully I won't get too flamed for my style or content.

Started my vacation today. I've been working there for ten years and hadn't taken more than a week off total so far, so I just decided to blow a little under half of my 200+ hours of vacation time. And as a pleasant side effect, I end up missing most of the summer reading program.

In other news, I've actually started writing again. And so far it's been fun, but not for the faint of heart. I may decide to post some of it, providing I can get over the "oh my god if anybody reads this, they'll commit me" feeling. I seem to be in love with angst and horror right now.

But I've got several weeks to simply catch up on my art, reading and writing, and I fully intend to enjoy them.

Just got home from work, and I dearly wish it was okay to kill some of the annoying little brats I end up being subjected to.

Why is it that whenever their parents take out the "little darlings' that they find behavior that would get their asses tanned at home cute when its someone elses job to clean up?

I work at a library, and there are certain things you don't do. Like throw books at you brother and laugh. And god forbid that someone scold these monsters, because there mother will get involved. Not to make the children behave, no, but to yell at us for speaking to her babies.

Then there are the shelf grimlins. The kids who think its fun to rearange all the books because their bored. That one had to clean up his mess. But come on, keep a lesh on the kids if they don't know how to behave.

Done for now.

Well its started. I finally managed to get something up. At least one New Year resolution is off to a good start. I’m not even going to go there about the rest. Any way Happy New Year.

Not so sure about how often this is going to be updated. At a conservative guess, once a month, at least for the art. Otherwise I’m going to try the journal at least once a week. We’ll see how long that lasts.

I never considered myself much of an artist; mostly I do technical drawings and maps for my role-playing games.

I do a little writing, but I've always been a little scared to let anyone read them. Funny, since I have absolutely no trouble telling them through the games I run for my rpg group. It's odd, but I'm going to at least try to change that.

This is probably going to end up as a home for all the various bits and pieces I've collected over the years of gaming.

And to be truthful, it also going to host the occasional rant about real life, but I'll try to keep those few, far between, and mercifully brief.

Hopefully I can manage to convince myself to update this at least once a week.

I guess this is a start, even if it’s a small one.
