As you may have seen, I've been posting with a bit more frequency as of late. A drawing class helps with that, to be sure. On my own I have trouble ever finishing (and sometimes starting) anything. ;\ Well, there are a number of other drawings I should submit. I'll try to get them on some time soon.

I'm doing well as this semester comes to an end. We'll see how a summer job goes from here.

Second semester at HCC. Going well, for the time being.

I'm finally taking my first official drawing class. I plan to put at least a few of the things I've done in there up as soon as I get them back. It's starting out pretty well.

Oddly enough, an old friend of mine decided he'd finally get back into school again this year, so we hang out when we can.

The words aren't coming, so I guess I'll end here.

It should be painfully obvious to you, by now, that I'm not much of a journaler. Nonetheless, I believe it is past time I wrote a new one.

SMU did not go so well for me. Unfortunately, my brain has trouble prioritizing tasks over long periods of time. What was initially going quite well has since spiraled into nothingness.

On the flip side, I no longer feel so certain that Computer Science is the major for me. I still enjoy the subject, and for those projects I successfuly turned in I was getting full marks (and, on one occasion, extra credit). But, my interest in art has been growing and growing for well over a year now. What was once mere experimentation, trial, and error is turning into a real skill. I think my gallery, meagre as it may be, shows this fairly well.

Now here I am, in community college for the time being, finally taking real art classes for the first time ever. Well, a design class for now, but I plan to expand the list very soon.

Despite the money I'll be paying back in due time, this may not be an all-over bad twist in my life.

Lessee here...

It's been a while. First semester is over, and winter break nearly is as well. I had a three week vacation in New Zealand which was just plain awesome. If you're able, I recommend it.

I did a few little drawings there, and I wasn't going to put a couple on, but since Yans threatened me, I guess I will. The two in question are MA.

I'm not quite sure how it happened. The last real drawing I did was.. improved but still pretty mediocre in my book, but the new ones are simply great. I just seemed to get nearly everything right. As with almost all of my work, it's pure imagination.

Well, me being the fool that I am, I can't help but make new stuff when I'm still working on my previous entries.

Anyway, it seems my work's slowly getting better. Spirit should be pretty awesome when I'm done and satisfied. It's probably a whole 12% done. Golden Dagger's coming very well also. It's a little over half done.

As for my story, while I'm too absentminded to get it done, fool that I am, it has progressed. Whereas last time it was 2/3rds, now it's 3/4ths. Isn't it awesome?! Actually, I think it ended up being longer than my initial guess. If I can get a solid chunk of time to work on this, perhaps after my Rhetoric essay today, I'm sure I can finish it.

Then again, do I want to post it before patching up the leaks in ch 1? They aren't major and it's far less changing than the first time, but I need to do it. A small bit will be added to chapter three at the beginning, where I simply cut out some two days. Other than that it's good as is. Then I'll finally finish chapter four!

Sigh.. Ciao, everyone.

Concerning the recent events to do with §Jark (or whatever symbol he ends up with), all I shall say is that I support his efforts if for the sole fact that a founder was fired by the very CEO he brought to the table, and the whole affair was orchestrated in somewhat of a callow manner. My icon shall remain yellow to this effect, but you will be seeing little else from me.

I will be leaving to college in exactly one and a half days, so you'll likely not hear from me until monday or tuesday. This will give me a good chance to work on my writing, as a laptop leaves much to be desired in the art-creation category. Speaking of which, the story has progressed since my last entry. If I'd venture a guess, I'd say these five pages are roughly 2/3rds of the chapter, so it won't be much longer.

Unfortunately, while I may have edited and been happy with the first chapter, the things I left the same for the sole fact of trying to save something of my original efforts are simply not acceptable. There are simply glaring problems with character traits. Most everything else I have no problem with, but I really must rework the time when they meet. It just never seemed to strike me well. Yanira is throwing her arms up in frustration about now.

As for all things art, if you are reading this you have probably noticed that I have a new piece in-the-works. Trust me when I say that what you see now is a very shallow indication of what it is slowly becoming. The shading and coloring in the face and hair is nothing short of my best work ever, and the metal, which is a very new material for me, is coming well. Not to mention that I'm doing it will very little reference. When that is done, the background and added affects should come together quickly. Of course, I've just jinxed myself. As it stands now, I'd say it's roughly 15% done, and that's pretty generous.

So I close once again, wishing all my friends the best of fortunes in their coming days.

By the by, those three people who are actually devwatching me are the friends you should go visit.

Unfortunately, I've slowed down recently in my artistic endeavors. While I had thought I'd knock out chapter two in a relatively short time, I've managed to complete an entire page of the revision. While the changes are nowhere near the enormity of what happened to the first, it still requires the most attention of what remains to be done. Nothing else needs much changing at all, in fact.

Anyway, I've just gotten back from a trip to my soon-to-be University and place of residence for the next five years, and it's a bit late to be working on anything now. In other words, I have my mind set to start working on some things as early as When I Get Up (tm) tomorrow. It's a great time to get things done before I must start getting ready for the Big Move.

A brief overview of what I would like to get done and up here on dA shall follow:

* Chapter Two of Revyll! I mean, I only need a couple hours and this should be good to go. I only need to redo/add to the first half.

* Finish inking a project I started months ago that I got about 70% done and ... simply stopped working on. It's rather sad.

* Post my recent sketches I got bored and did during this trip with my nice new pencils. Perhaps I'll even ink them! What an astounding idea.

Anyway, that's that for now. If I get them done quick, I have plenty more to do. Coloring, minor additions to chapter three, FINISHING chapter four, new endeavors. There is plenty of concept art floating around my head that deserves to hit paper eventually.

I shall think warm thoughts of my dA friends and even attempt to recall those that I physically pester to come here and look at my stuff. I'd love to hear thoughts from any of you. I'm starting to feel a bit lonely again.

First Journal Entry Ever!!

I finally noticed that I've been posting journal entry-type posts as comments on my front page. In any case, I'm simply here to keep tabs. It seems I've finally accrued my second +devwatch. Yans has been the only one for, well, quite some time. I'm rather happy about that.

It should be known that Revyll, my story, has recently undergone a great upheaval. The third chapter is done. The fourth is about half complete. The first is undergoing major editing. In the end, it is going to far exceed its previous quality.

I've added a fair number of sketches under my scraps. Some people may call them finished works, but, being the perfectionist I am, I plan to add to/color at least one or two of these before any make it into Deviation status.

As one final note, for the first time in years I have started taking a short series of art classes. It's technically cartooning, which may not seem my normal style, but you will see soon what I'm doing. As soon as I finish inking my current project, I'm slapping it up. Hopefully it will recieve as many positive comments here as the unfinished work has at my school. (I work on it in class. Senioritis, I suppose.) Hopefully I will also get critiques, however. Many people seem to think I don't listen to them when they do, but I'm just not too good at outwardly showing it. I am listening.

In any case, I believe I have said all I came to say.

Silarn out.
