So our computer got fixed... a lot sooner than expected. But I'm really happy about it

Plus now I have Painter X, which is amazing. Of course, I still miss Photoshop, as it was much easier to use (for my smallish brain) but I'm still really happy with Painter.

Anyway, if you recently visited my gallery and saw that a lot of things were missing, heres why. I was going through some of my old deviations and saw that most of it was really old and unappealing, so I cleaned house. Maybe it's just my opinion as the over critical artist, but I don't think so. I decided I wanted to basically start over (late) for the new year. Don't worry about it, though, because a ton of new stuff is coming. Which leads onto the next topic...




I started working on a new thing that I'm hoping to see through to the very end. I thought it would be cool to do a series of the elements through depiction of people. To show what they would wear, what they'd look like, etc and give each element a certain color, such as red for, obviously, fire. I've already decided the ones I'm going to do are red, blue, white, green, light blue (still debating), yellow, and grey elementals. Some of their corresponding elements are probably pretty obvious, but others might not be, so you'll have to wait until their finished to find out what they are. If you have any other ideas for another one, that you don't think is already up there, feel free to tell me about it.

Right now I've already begun working on the first of the series: Blue. Which should be done in the next week or so.

I've been really depressed lately. The bad kind of depressed. Baaaaad. Like the kind where the doctor prescribes you anti-depressant pills.

And everything I draw lately is suckish.

Anyway, until I stop being so emo, I'm going to officially take a hiatus from deviant art. This whole feeling suckish at art thing is really stressing me out. So the hiatus will last at least until the end of thanksgiving break, which ends next monday. Possibly more. Possibly less. So I'm not coming back onto dA until that time, and I'm not replying to messages. Sorry...


I'm not going any further than saying that, because I'm sure you don't want to hear any of my incessant whining... yea don't worry about it I hate it when people go on their "my life sucks baaaaaaaalls!!! muhuhuhuhuhh b00 h00 *cry* pwn@g3" rants. In fact, don't even get me started on that. I'll get myself worked up. And angry. And when I say angry, I mean ANGRY. I have my reasons. Like I said, don't get me started.

New journal design?!!! NO WAI.
Yea, after 2 weeks of designing and coding, I've finally completed my very first CSS design for my shiny new subscription The only problem is that it looks pretty pants on my Journal page... but looks good on my actual user page.

yes, I did code this journal, just in case you were wondering...
I use to be a big neopets-ophile and made userpage layouts all the time. But now I don't even remember the password... Right after I made a million neopoints.... damn.

I'm talking about neopets? WTF. You should have stopped me... now I feel like an idiot...




ANYWAY.
Last weekend I went to the Japanese festival I was talking about in my last journal...
AND OMG.

IS SO
GUUUUUUUUUD.

Its always been good but I forgot how good it was until last weekend because I haven't had any in forever.


There were a buttload of cosplayers there too. It made my day :B And I didnt have any money to buy any stuffs, besides pocky, which costed 2 dollars, so that was upsetting. But oh well. Which reminds me, one of the booths was selling japanese rice cakes that were strawberry flavored, and the were actually called Ichigo Strawberry. I laughed forever XD If you don't get it, you obviously didn't read the bleach manga.


OH, AND ALSO.

Why don't you scurry on over the my shoutboard and.... shout? ILL EAT YOUR SOUL IF YOU DONT.

Yay! I just found out I'm going to the Japanese garden festival at Missouri Botanical Gardens on labor day weekend I'm so excited! They're going to do "japanese comic" (just a longer, more stupid way of saying Manga) storytelling... Rakugo I definitely have to see that. Seriously. That will be the highlight of, like, my life. (more or less, anyway.) But I kind of want to bring a friend. That'd be awesome. If they were into that kind of thing.

Just a side note, I changed my webcam again. Its a clip from Spirited Away, when Chihiro and Haku are falling in the sky and Chihiro is crying I like that scene...



Anywaiz, Last night I watched Voices Of A Distant Star. It was 25 minutes long. But I FLIPPIN LOVED IT! It made me cry, and it had a very good plot line for being so short. And considering it was all animated and stuff by one dude. But what I liked the most was that at the end of it, it didn't leave me going "so whats your point?" like SOME movies... *cough*CampRock*coughcough* No. I hate movies like that.

But I admit. I'm a little biased. I love movies like V.O.A.D.S. (spirited away, Howl's moving castle) and I... kind of choose to automatically dislike disney channel movies.
