I mean, wow. First off, it's only $5 and a 200MB download from the PSN. Second, it auto-detects all music on my memory stick and generates a level from ANY song with four different levels of difficulty. I could rock out from ABBA to Dethklok and it would just work, it's amazing and way fun. I'm loading my PSP up with songs right now to get more out of it. Faster songs are, of course, more difficult than slower ones and usually more fun. "The Pretender" by the Foo Fighters was especially tricky at first, it's got a very quick chorus.

There is plenty of customizable bits, like theme, wallpaper, and visualization. It keeps track of your top scores for each separate difficulty level and the percentage of perfects you get per each song. There's community modes via infrastructure and ad-hoc multiplayer that supports up to four people (but I haven't been able to make use of this yet).

My god. If you have a PSP and like music/rhythm games, go get a PSN account and download this game.

Because it's mine!

I won this off a contest on Joystiq.

Everything about it feels a lot better than the original PSP. The UI seems to be snappier than normal (what with that added RAM) and the face buttons are quicker and easier to use. The D-pad is now exceptional, one of the best on any gaming device around.

The thing is incredibly light but doesn't feel cheap, it feels just right. I haven't tried the video-out function yet, but I will sometime!

*Being best in the gaming world is always subjective.

And because I wanted to push my journals along... So what's up all?

My b'day is only a couple weeks away and everything is goin' relatively fine here. My first ever art class is fun and I'm learning a lot from it (so far stuff that really only applies to human faces) and there are some great people in it.

My computer is finally back and working, in case you didn't know already and that's always a big plus. I spent a good hour or two playing BF2 online, kicking butt and taking names.

So... how are all of you?

Two of my dogs are dead today. Rocky and Angel are both gone now, I just can't believe it.

Even now I'm still crying but there aren't any more tears left in me. Angel wasn't even our dog anymore, we had given her away, but we did own her for most of her life. And while she was with us, her and Rocky got along fine. They grew up together. We had Rocky since he was a puppy and he's never ever bitten another dog in his entire life.

Rocky killed Angel, that is the blunt end of it. I don' know when, other than that we found her dead at 10:45am today in the yard and Rocky had blood on his nose. We knew what we had to do, we couldn't keep the dog that killed another dog so we brought him to the Humane Society. They wouldn't take him in, since he was a high profile breed and he's a dog-killer--I winced and cried every time they said that. They treated it so nonchalantly, it's just not fair to him--so he was euthanized at around 11:30am. I wouldn't go in to watch, it would've killed me. We took his collar though, it's sitting in the car right now. I can't move it yet.

Angel's buried now too, in the back yard underneath the Ponderosa Pine. It's not quite six feet deep, there was a rock in the way about four feet down, so she has a shallow grave.

This is all just soo... I don't even know what to say. I'm really hurting now. They were both MY dogs, my babies. Rocky was my dog that we adopted from a friend and Angel came from my great grandma. Angel was supposed to be my sister's dog, but she never took care of it so I took on that responsibility. We gave Angel away to some friends eventually, not even a year ago now because they really wanted to get a Pomeranian of their own but couldn't afford one.

This whole thing, it makes no sense. Rocky and Angel had known each other forever. They had been fine together in the backyard this whole week that we've had her. Rocky even protected Angel from Sadie--who was harassing her. I just.. I dunno...

I'm gonna miss them both lots.

I propose that we start calling this man what he truly is, a RAGING DOUCHEBAG. Not just a regular douchebag or even a raging douchebag, but a full on, balls-to-the-wall, cap-lock induced RAGING DOUCHEBAG!

For those not aware, there was a shooting at Virginia Tech that has been classified as the worst shooting in United States history. There were 33 deaths so far, and over 20 people hospitalized from serious injuries. As is the norm, the big name news stations tuned in on this and provided in-depth coverage. CBS, MSNBC, CNN, and FOX. At around 3PM however, RAGING DOUCHEBAG took the stage as a "specialist in school shootings" and immediately blamed violent videogames for allowing this shooter to "rehearse" the incident.

As geek.com put it: "This is one of the worst days in American history; videogames should be the least of anyone's concern."

Actually, I probably won't end up doing much for my b'day today, just because I never really do much on my birthdays. Well, I am 18 now though, so I guess a whole new world of things has opened up to me, namely porno, cigarettes, and the lottery.

I'm a terribly boring person though when it comes to birthdays. I feel that way even more now since I work at the credit union where everyone tries to celebrate their b'day extravagantly.

I'll think of something to do I'm sure. Sorry about no new arts, been a slow and uninspiring year for the most part. I do have some things in the works though that I'll be putting up soon enough hopefully.

Interesting tidbit of personal info: My little sister and I share the same birthday even though we are six years apart. I was born at 7:36 am on Friday Oct. 7, 1988 and she was born at 8:36 pm on Friday Oct. 7, 1994.

I mean seriously the bigger furry community is nice I suppose, but I just don't like the feel to the site. I don't like their strange new mascot Fender. I don't like the colour scheme or the layout. It just seems really unprofessional to me really. The server times are doing great but all and all I prefer what I have going on here at DA.

Tons of coding problems still and things that aren't quite getting remembered. So far it seems to be just little stuff but who knows what might get left out later.

Plus I never was there for the porn in the first place. I even have my mature filter up there. I said that in the irc chat and everyone was like... "WHAT?!"

So I probably won't be going back there anymore. A new contest, officially sanctioned by Chubbyfur to find a nice mascot for our mascotless club!

Rules thought up by :

1. The mascot cannot be YOU! You have your own alter ego not for YOUR ego. Try and be creative

2. The mascot may not have to wear clothes if you do not want them to, but do Not draw anything hardcore nudity *I.E Nipples, Revealing anotamy, huge boobs etc << >>;

3. Do not make it a simple spin off, try to be creative in your design And have fun with it

So that's pretty much it I suppose. The contest is to just design and draw a mascot for it. It should defintely be relevant to the club, but of course that relevance always depends on perspective!

Above all, just have fun doing it and we look forward to seeing some awesome entries!

Deadline is Dec. 31st! That way we can have a new mascot to usher in the New Year!

I've gotten motivation to draw again, probably because of all the long boring classes that I have and all the lectures that go on.
