I am, however, going to take the opportunity of having hidden my gallery (ah ha ha I go all out when I pull shit like this) to reorganize said gallery -- keep things hidden that have no business being displayed, scrap what need be scrapped, unscrap things that I scrapped in a FIT OF RAGE or something but which I'd rather see in my main gallery -- and finally fucking folder my shit. I went through all the trouble of putting collections folders in my favourites, and my gallery is sitting there like EXPLOSION OF TRASH. So yeah I'mma fix that.

It's been a long time coming.

I really hate to do this to everyone. You know how much I love each and every one of you, or I hope you do.

It's time, however, for me to throw in the towel, at least for a little while.

I keep hanging around dA, but I never get anything done, you know? I feel like I'm wasting my time. I hate just... sticking around and doing nothing. I haven't been posting art, I haven't been doing any writing... It just seems... dumb.

So I'm going. Not permanently, in all likelihood, but at least for awhile. Call it a temporary hiatus, if you will. I'm sick of being around and inactive, so I'm going to switch to being completely inactive.

Okay guys.

I'm just gonna say this and make it easier on myself and everyone who wants to contact me, because it's just a little... weird to get messaged randomly/normally considering what's going on.

Some of you have heard me mention a girl by the name of Shawna, whom I also call my Hikari, and who's on here as ~Hikari-no-Ryu. She's a sweet girl whom I love to pieces. She's the nicest, most wonderful and compassionate human being I have ever met in my entire life. (She also happens to be a dragon therian. We always blamed that for the issues she had with electronics... breaking randomly without her touching them when she was angry, heh.)

She was in a car accident, yesterday around five o'clock in the afternoon.

Weather where I grew up is always hateful in winter. Always. Most of us are used to it, but that doesn't make it any easier.

Her car slid on the ice. She was struck by an oncoming car on her driver's side door.

She died at the scene.

She was one of my best friends, and I love her so, so much. So much more than words can ever, ever describe.

I don't know when the funeral is. I'm staying here tonight, and because of assignments, I might not make it home until the day before the funeral. It sucks, but it's how it is.

I... you guys know me. I take a practical stance on everything. I'm not over it by any means, not by a long shot, and I'm not sure I'll ever be really "over it." I don't think I want to be over it. But I'm coping. I cope quickly. Especially when I'm able to vent, and I cried damn well and good this morning.

I know she's gone. I know she can't come back. I know that life sucks, life is not fair, but life goes on. It may seem a little callous of me, but. Everyone grieves differently. This is going to sound tacky, but hey, I'm a sap. I would rather grieve with love than tears.

I love you guys. All of you on my friends list? You're on it because I love you. More than words can ever, ever say. And I feel like I don't say even that enough.

So if I seem distant, or aloof, or a little overly clingy in the coming.... however long. Bear with me, okay? And if I act like nothing's wrong, don't label me an ass, because I'm not trying to forget her. I'm trying to be happy. She always, always hated it when her friends were unhappy, and did her level fucking best to comfort and console. She would hate us all to cry forever. I want to honor her by trying to be as happy as she always was.

And if I could ask one thing from everyone... just... say her name, won't you? I believe she's in Summerland now, and I want her to know there are people who love her, and that even friends of her friends can care, just for a second, just long enough to say her name--not even aloud. Just... think it. I know some people light candles, or put people in their prayers, or what-have-you. If that's something that you do, and you want to do it for her... thank you.

But even if you're not the kind of person to do that sort of thing.

Just say... think her name. One tiny gesture will mean the world to her.

Only about three hours in, but still. CHRISTMAS.

I think I had the most RIDICULOUS Christmas Eve EVER. XDD

Bust.

Woke up at seven. Got up at eight. Took a long shower; ready by nine-thirty. It took us until ten-thirty to get outta here because we couldn't find the number for the Verizon place to call and see if they were open. O_x; Problem being they're not called "Verizon;" they're a licensed affiliate called Freedom Wireless. Agha. So, directories both online and by phone were little help, 'til Dad FINALLY got a Verizon operator to say "Oh it is called this lawl." Ay.

Fucking Burger King got my sandwich order wrong. I ordered a Giant Omelet Sandwich. Fuckers gave me a Ham Omelet Sandwich. With fucking honey ham. Honey ham instead of bacon and beef. Fuck you.

(I HATE honey ham, by the way. Two or three years ago, at Christmas, we were INUNDATED with honey hams. We bought one, then won one, then were given two. We were eating honey ham for months. Honey ham is DISGUSTING in split pea soup, by the way. DX I will never be able to eat the stuff again. Ugh.)

And Katie's, the coffee/hot chocolate place, was closed. Frf.

Today has mostly been video games. XD Really. My brother and I spent several hours playing Champions of Norrath (I need to get my own copy, hohmaigawd), and then some Shadow of the Colossus. Mad fun. We also baked two batches of cookies tonight! No-flour peanut butter with Hershey's kisses stuck atop them, and the last of some white chocolate macadamia nut that we had the batter for in the freezer. We mixed the batter for the oatmeal cookies, but we have no raisins, so we're gonna get some and bake those tomorrow. We're also not doing the chocolate chip 'til tomorrow 'cause we need the bowl we made the peanut butter batter in. XP

XP And, hee, keychains. Two from Spencer's: "Attitude: It's a Way of Life" and "Do Not Disturb (Already Disturbed)." Love you, woman. XD And the third is a DWAGGIN. It is silver, and it is shiny, and it is sexy. Rawrawr.

I was in the middle of talking to Loni on Yahoo!, when, suddenly, the lights died. Then they came back on. Then they dimmed, then they died; then they dimmed back in. Dimmed back out and died again. ...And stayed that way.

Oh, snap, power failure.

I lawled.

Public Service Announcement

Just so all of you know!

I recently had a deviation moved by the deviantART staff from the category Literature > Prose > Fiction > Fan Fiction to Fan Art > Fan Fiction.

At first, I was miffed and upset (Fan Fiction is Literature; also, it grates on me to be informed that I miscat'ed something that I most assuredly did not). I submitted an inquiry to the help desk inquiring as to the reason for the move and the difference between one gallery and the other--and also, why my others had not been moved.

Apparently, the Fan Art > Fan Fiction subcat was recently created in Fan Art so as to make Fan Fiction easier to find for those Fan Art searchers who might be interested. Okay! That's a valid argument. I'm okay with that. Also, apparently the reason it was the only one moved was that they just hadn't gotten to the others yet.

So as an announcement, I'd like to inform all my fellow fanfic writers of the category change! Please help to make things a little easier on the deviantART staff and the entirety of the dA site members by moving your works to the new category yourself.

I did run into a small issue when recat'ing my stuff. At first, I just went to one of my fanfictions, hit the Edit Deviation button, and changed the gallery setting to Fan Art > Fan Fiction.
