The new Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D Soundtrack is awesome. I love it. (cough cough I'm a pirate). Marilyn Manson doing This Is Halloween makes Silver a happy smeety. And I'll admit, I like Panic! At the Disco's version too, but on a different level. And usually I HATE them.

Speaking of making me happy, YES I was on The History Channel last night as Sally, reaffirming that I am indeed, the ultimate Sally. Just kidding, but it was still awesome. Check out any reruns of Fear Files on Zombies.

Seriously, I'm here at UC Santa Cruz, on of the most hella bitchin' schools. Period. It's been a while since I've updated my journal here, so I figured I would now.

Things are good. Intro to Human Evolution is cool. Core class is boring. Stand Up Comedy is cool. Tonight was open Mic Night and I dressed as the Corpse Bride for the hell of it and sang "I Enjoy Being a Girl."

Kick ass.

So uh...yeah. Getting lost in the woods sucks, finding way back is cool. Baby bunnies are sweet as are the deer, and the early morning classes suck.

My new printer/scanner/copier/fax machine isn't hooked up to my new laptop so no new work as of now. Later, yes. Now, no.

And I have continued doing the Burtonized Heriones thing. Megera is done. Mulan is next. ROCK.

And my boyfriend's Danny Phantom costume is coming together soooo well...HOTNESS.

Okay, well, my mom severely sprained her ankle a few weeks ago, and so she can't walk on it at all. Keep that in mind. So we rented a wheelchair for her to ride in for the convention.

Okay...on Tuesday, our journey begins*cue dramatic music*


Anyway,we start at 6 AM drive down to LA. We get there about 1-ish with a hour stop at WalMart because I forgot some things for my Corpse Bride costume (oops). We have lunch and then leave at 2. Driving down to San Diego, my check engine light comes on. O____O badness.



My mom is so tired, that we decide to keep driving down until we get to our hotel, then we can be "stranded" I carry everything up to our room as she hops along on her crutches and she vegges


WEDNESDAY
We take my car to the local Hyundai dealer ( I have a Hyundai Elantra) and they fix it! 15 minutes, tops. It was a little censor that need a tweek. That's it. No charge. Things are great
We rent her wheelchair, and we thought we only had it for Friday, they let us have it until Saturday.

Wednesday Night is Preview Night for Comic Con, so we are in the special Handicap area while they get our stuff for us, and I'm dressed as a pirate for fun. My picture gets taken a lot and I was briefly on the news being all piratey-cuteness, and sleazy guys hit on me. Not to mention the friends we saw again


THURSDAY
I'm Sally. Walking around the convention, people remember me from last year, lots of pictures, lots of fun. I'm rolling my mom outside of the Convention to go back to our car, but it's really hot out, so I go back into the Convention Lobby where there is A/C...


AND LO AND BEHOLD.... A camera crew spots me and asks me to stay so they can video tape me. It turns out, it's the History Channel.

They're making a documentary on Zombies. I sign a waiver stating they can use me, and they interview me. Things like "What do zombies look like?" "How are they created, etc" They were VERY impressed with my answers, and then they asked me to act like a zombie and move towards the camera.


They were unnerved and excited with glee when I did it.
They told me that THAT was the footage they would be using. If that wasn't what a zombie did, they didn't know what.


It should premiere in October.

THURSDAY
I am the Corpse Bride. With my HUUUUUUGE wedding dress.My picture was taken so many times, it was dizzying. I was on the news apparently live, so many people videotaped me walking around, oh man, it was CRAZY; not to mention all the gross guys hitting on me x_x. The next day, I was in the local newspaper, and people kept coming up to me on Saturday (I was the Corpse Bride still) saying I SAW YOU ON THE NEWS! or I SAW YOU IN THE NEWSPAPER! Or other things like that. Everyone it seemed wanted to see THE Corpse Bride.

There was another girl as the Corpse Bride, but her costume was the store bought one and people actually searched for me. It was awesome.


And then Sunday, we drove up to LA, saw Pirates of the Caribbean with my cousins at the El Capitan theatre, and came back home.

I have overwhelmingly joyous responses to my Burtonized Ariel, so I'm DEFINATELY going to put my butt in gear and actually finish a whole series of something!

Silver. But she goes by Silv, Sil, Sil-Sil, and even in the most extreme cases...Silly. BUT ONLY WHEN SMEETS CALL HER THAT.

2) How old is he/she?
Last time counted she was...289. 17 otherwise.

3) Is your OC a boy or girl?
Feeeeemale.

4) What’s his/her race?
Irken.

Appearance

1)If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get?
A lot. Believe me. It's either because she's so tall and green, or because they know she is the Almighty Tallest and they'd be bowing before her in awe.

2)Is your character considered normal in his/her own world?
Not at all. She is exalted beyond all measures. But even is she wasn't Tallest, she's still not normal. She was one of the last units in Irken society to have a caretaker and be bioengineered to have the natural Irken body before they switched to the normal system they use today.

3)What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)?
Her height, curly antennae, bright silver eyes, and her curves. ALL AT ONCE.

4)Would you consider your OC as attractive?
Well...yes and no...

1)Did your OC have a family of any sort?
Wellll kinda. She was partially raised by the late Almighty Tallest Miyuki and her hand maidens but the Miyuki was killed by Zim, so she was guardianless like everyone else.

2)Is your character out on his/her own? If so, why?
Eh....tough. She under constant surveilance for her own security and lives with Red and Purple and many servants and workers on the Massive or in the Palace on Irk, so not REALLY, but YES at the same time.

3)Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?
Yes. The time Miyuki died, the time Spork died, Painful Horrible Overload Day part I AND II, and when her cat guardian Vicious died. That sent her over the edge.

4)What was probably the best time in his/her life so far?
The time where she went to a costume ball and met the love of her life.

It's a secret, but no. And no one is to know about it. Ever.

YESH.

2. Next Sunday (2/12) is my anniversary with my boyfriend. HOLY PRAK, I KNOW. One year. Freaky.

3. Tuesday we have an open Dress Rehearsal during school for the English classes of Laramie.

4. Wednesday-Friday, all night performances of Laramie. ACK.

Dec. 24:

Woke up at 3:30 am to jump in car. Drove through the wee morning and heavy fog. Quite eery.

Around 7 am the sun FINALLY rose. Quite nice. Had breakfast.

11 am. DISNEYLAAAAAAAAAAND!

4 pm. We are exhausted and nap in the hotel. Disneyland closed at 6 on Christmas Eve os we didn't miss much. Sister's birthday was well spent.

LOTS OF PEOPLE

Dec 25:

Christmas. Jews were out and abound. AND SO WAS EVERYONE ELSE. JKSLJAKLJF Disneyland was crowded, but we did so many rides, twas awesome. I dressed up as Sally on X-mas and was NOT asked to leave. Not my full on makeup, though. But a sweet boy named Vicent did hit on me. Twas cute ^_^ Chilled at California Adventure for a bit and then went back to the hotel.

It was so crowded, people could not get into Disneyland. They were shoo'd away and the entrance was closed.

Dec 26:

Go there VERY early and did Space Mountain with a 5 minute wait. DO YOU REALIZE HOW RARE THAT IS?!. Twas awesome. By 2-ish we were getting tired so we went to our hotel and vegged.

And then I got back yesterday. The only rides we didn't go on were It's A Small World because the line was 2 hours long, a couple of Fantasyland rides for liiiiiiiittle kids, and Splash Mountain. Twas cold and it rained a little on Monday. But I got AWESOME NBC merchandise.

Everything is okay in the land of Silverishness. The day after, my boyfriend and I talked and everything is fine now. We are still together and everything is good. Very good. I saw Corpse Bride. And here is my review on it. Now, I won't go into TOO much detail because I don't want to ruin it for ANYONE.

I enjoyed it. However, it was different than I imagined it to be.

I'd like to point out that it's not a musical in the sense of what you would think it is. It does have some songs, but it's not a musical. If that makes any sense. Nightmare was a musical. Corpse Bride...not so much. I wish they had more character development and things like that cause you barely got a taste of some of the other characters. It was a wonderful taste, but it left me a little...unfufilled.

And the Corpse Bride's name being Emily bugs me. I don't know why, but it does. I won't refer to her as Emily because well, I don't think that name suits her for some reason. I kinda wished they hadn't named her at all and her name was just one of those things one forgets when they die. *shrug* I think that would have made her more mysterious and her story more tragic. I guess...

But all in all, I think it's a wonderful movie and I can't wait to see it again. And again. Aaaaaaaaand again and then get it on DVD immediately. I know it's early, but I'm already arranging my Halloween costume. That's right. THE CORPSE BRIDE. I got this wedding dress at goodwill for 3.99. THAT'S RIGHT. 4 DOLLAH. The dress is ugly, but it has the HUGE amount of lace and a train and it's GORGEOUS. The lace, not the dress. So I just removed the lace from the dress, hack up some pieces of the lace, find a dress and or skirt and bodice top and then some MORE lace for my veil and VIOLA! INSTANT COSTUME!

And I have the makeup design all figured out. I'll make a copy of it and post it here if anyone else wants to be the Corpse Bride for Halloween. That should be neat...
