If you want, I might update my journal with a story behind my username. That might happen in a while; I don't know when. I also need to post more art. I have a tendency to write and sketch, but I hardly post anything here. It's funny when people constantly tell me to post more art. They don't know that some, or many, artists are quite finicky with their art. Sometimes, we know when a picture has imperfections. We don't want people to know that. They don't need to see those things. We want them to see the decent works. We don't want to put our audience down. We shouldn't fill their message centre with sketches, scraps, or mediocre artwork. Some might say how all of my drawings are great, but they don't know much about art. It's sweet of them to say compliments, but their feedback doesn't really work.

If you think otherwise, then kudos to you. It is courageous to show most of your works, whether it's good or bad. People should always know what you're doing. People should always know your real nature. That's good, since every artist makes both good and bad drawings. We make mistakes, so the bad ones will always emerge among the good ones.

I woke up at 9:30 with a text message from my older brother. Then came the calls from other family members. I was supposed to go to the mall with my aunt and cousins at 10:00. They ended up coming at around 10:30. One of my cousins wasn't feeling well.

The mall was fine. I went to the Apple store in order to have a glimpse of the software and programmes they sold (e.g. Macs, iPods, Photoshop CS2 etc.). I was planning to get a Wacom Intuos 3 (6x8) from Amazon. It should have been my father's gift. Yet, my aunt found a Wacom Intuos 3 (4x6) in the store. So, I decided to get that one instead. It's smaller, though I might not need a bigger one anyway. My aunt paid for it, but it's still my father's gift. He'll give her the money that was spent.

I like my gifts, but I'm glad I've started to give here and there. I'm talking about Christmas and other occasions. During my fifteenth year, I finally learned that giving felt much better than receiving, especially giving something that came from the heart.

Later, I got a few other things in other stores. Nothing of much importance in this case.

In the end, I spend some time with my grandparents. We went to the supermarket and ate dinner at home. We got the food from a restaurant near the supermarket. I'm satisfied with all of that. I don't need that big sweet sixteen crap to make me happy. Don't let MTV tell you how all teens act. They give the decent teens a pretty bad name.

I'm finally sixteen! It's time to learn more things in life.

By the way, I hate this no subscription thing next to message centre. Good job, dA; good job! It's quite ridiculous. It makes an interference with me checking the messages. I would love to give some money to this site, but they went a bit too far with this.

Now, it's time to get the hang of the new tablet. It's very useful.

I came back from a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I came back hours ago. I left on Wednesday. That was why I was offline for a while.

It was fun. I did try a few new rides. It's good to face some fears.

I'm an artist; I want to be creative. So, it would be better to be myself. I don't really mind walking around the neighbourhood, but some people get pissy when I'm quite reluctant with this costume fiasco.

I'm not completely selfish, so, for you guys, I'll just go and say, "Go ahead." Have fun! Be free! I know I'm not, but that doesn't matter. Enjoy your inner-child. ..and if you're neo-pagan/Wiccan: enjoy your holiday! It's your day.

Yet, I would still love to see Invader ZIM's Halloween episode or The Nightmare Before Christmas. The IZ thing is kind of a ritual for me. It would just be Hallow's Eve as my usual self. No cliché costumes; no sweet-toothed kids; no pressure. It's like the day I saw the Bubonic Plague presentation on the History Channel. I saw it last year on my father's birthday (30 Oct. 2005). That stuff gets me more hooked than candy.

I'm sincerely apologise for this rant. I'm too pissy. Seriously.

23 October passed days ago, and I forgot to mention it. This specific day marked my second year on dA.

My time here has been wonderful. I don't know where I would be without this site. I learned things about politics, art, society, and many other things. I also learned more about myself. Back then, I was never aware of many things, like my sexual attractions. XD

My vocabulary, grammar, and knowledge has improved. I can write more elaborate things, while receiving respect from anyone who is capable of thinking for themselves. It's a cool thing, because you are used to finding asshole parents accusing teenagers of being selfish, rebelious, or some other shite. :/

My art has improved. I started taking art seroiously in mid-2004. Now, it's 2006, and I should be amazed. Unfortunately, my perfectionistic nature doesn't leave me. Sometimes, I do have the tendency to constantly diss my art. At least I spend more time with a sketchbook and scrap paper. It enhances my appreciation for my art.

Learner's Permit
Today, I also received a Learner's Permit (Restricted License). It allows me to drive while I'm accompanied by an adult with a driver's license (people twenty-one and over, to be more precise). It's a pretty good thing; my friend also has it. So, I'm no longer "alone."

I am also angry, because my DVD player has problems. Everything is fine, except for the audio. I can't hear any sounds. What's more frustrating is that it's a Sony VCR/DVD Player that is practically two years old.

Hopefully, the problem will be fixed soon.

I am also happy, because I just left school. I can take a small break from the living hell. I might also see , unless my family has personal conflicts.

I apologise for not being around more often. It seems that the site is getting less interesting. I'm not leaving, but I am spending more time in other places. I used to be clingy to dA. The forums were fun to read. Now, they are annoying. I'm getting sick of the dead horses and the lack of intelligence in the threads. I'm also getting sick of the redundancy from people. The politics can get annoying.

I don't know. I just feel strange.

But don't worry! I still draw in art class and in free time. That lifestyle is still in there, even though you feel that you could lack ambition for no apparent reason. I'm usually good at Math. I am so good that math problems can be easy to learn, unless I don't put a lot of time on it. I took a math test yesterday, and I failed with a 49. When I first saw the results, I was thinking: "What. the. fuck?!" I understood most of the problems; about 17 out of 20 were easy for me. It must be a mistake.

I asked my teacher about it, and unfortunately, it wasn't a mistake. I got the test today, and I realised that most of the wrong answers were from silly mistakes. A few were also wrong, due to the geometrical content, which takes some time to get used to it. Damn my crazy brain! The good part is that I get to re-take that test. I hope I'm ready for that one, because I'm not bad with algebra.

Sometimes, stupid mistakes make me laugh. It shows my clumsy side.

Hurricane
Ernesto is supposed to hit Florida tomorrow at 20:00 (8:00 pm). So, that means that school is cancelled on Tuesday and Wednesday. Many people cheered, but I was the only one who is not very content about this. I strongly dislike school, but I do not want to go through a power outage. Then, you have to hear about people suffering from this. Florida, along with most American societies, is horrible to live in. The temperatures are high. It's not like New York and California. People use these states in order to compliment the hellhole we like to call Florida. I dislike it. People are so stupid. Why are you going to live in a place that is vulnerable to deadly hurricanes?! Fuck the sunny weather! Safety is more important than a beach.

Some people haven't fixed their roofs. A hurricane would be merciless. No, it's even worse. Parts of Lousiana, Mississippi, and Alabama are not completely recovered from Katrina. A hurricane will cause more problems to the government. This is what they get for not caring about them. Yes, they are more important than a brain-dead woman (Terri Schiavo, anyone?)

Don't be surprised if I disappear for a while. It could be because of power outage. Oh well! It might give me the opportunity to work on another entry for =thundercake's contest. It would be great to make it. I would not be surprised it I don't come up with it. I might be doing other things. Sorry. Heh...at least I kept my word and made one entry.

Life
I should buy a tape recorder, along with some tapes. They will be used to record conversations...with myself. If you really know me, you would know that I talk out loud to myself. I have many situations in my brain. Ahaha....this reminds me of my schoolmates. Today, I have seen countless people with Gir (Invader ZIM character) shoelaces. Yes, I know that the "America loves Gir" thing is a joke, but still. It always shows how people prefer simplicity and "cuteness." No offense to those who like Gir. If you like him, that's fine with me, as long as you're a decent person.

Wow! This IZ-related complaint should be old and annoying.

Monday: This was the day I started school. It was okay. I went to my new classes. We all had a half day (from 7:50 to 12:00). The only bad thing was that I felt queasy. At least I never vomited. I don't know why. It's hard to start all over again, especially when breakfast should be eaten early.

Tuesday: No school. I woke up late. This was the day I got my haircut. It's shorter than my usual hairstyle. Not only that, but it was quite boyish. If you want, I might post a small picture for the scraps sometime.

Wednesday: I felt queasy again. I don't know why I kept on panicking. I needed to relax for a little while. Yeah...well, at least I had the chance to eat some lunch, even though I did a crazy thing. I was still afraid to vomit, so I packed the cafeteria food in my book bag. The bag started to smell like food, and I tried not to open the inside as often as I usually do.

Thursday: I felt better that day. I took my time in the morning and relaxed for a moment. That relieves panic. Art and World History were fun. I drew a nice hand (with some flaws), and I learned a few things about the early humans.

Friday: It was okay. I took a test for Fahrenheit 451. I don't know why sophomores had to read a book for middle school kids. Maybe it was for its symbolism. The book has neat symbols.

Good parts: I'm taking Art and World History this year. They're cool subjects. I also bought a new sketchbook. I'll use it when I'm bored.

Bad parts: I have to take a religion class (I attend a Catholic school). I'm not into that stuff. Learning about many religions is good, but trying to follow their way of living is not so good for me. Also, I'm not very social. It's hard to relate to other people. It is like I live in a totally different world.

It's going to be a half-day tomorrow, which is good. Then, I will not have school on Tuesday. The teachers are going to have some retreat. So, I might get a haircut that same day. I will have a full-day on Wednesday.

I had to give a small update. It's good to have dA members know about me starting school. I hate school, but I have to deal with things. I would rather be more positive about it.

It's pretty good, because change can be helpful. It's impossible for everything to stay the same.

I also saw that v5 promo. You know, the one with the dance (electronic) song?

It's bad, because some of the old (and good) features left. For example, I've heard that the preview image for deviants' poetry and prose is no longer visible. It sucks, because it made the work look more lively. It was way to express yourself or mark your territory.

Then, we have the bugs. I am fully aware that the admins are planning to fix that. So, I don't complain about that.

I will not forget to mention the Complaints Forum. Today is the "Let's Complain About dA v5" day. I think it's quite amusing. Hopefully, they'll get over it or go to another website.

You know what I'd say about this? Overall, the new layout seems good. I'm not being pessimistic about it. I plan to get used to it soon. It has its flaws, but it could be fixed.

I don't know why, but I'm tired of seeing these free sketch journals. I have seen a whole bunch of people doing this thing over and over again. I might dislike this, because I hate doing and receiving requests. I would rather do something for someone who only deserves it, instead of having them do it for me. I don't know; I only want to see another journal. Some of these journals are irritating, even some of these quiz journals. They're fun, but they get stupid after a while.

I watched an episode The Daily Show with Jon Stewart two or three days ago. The show was fun; it informed me of a couple of things........yeah........the usual! I'm not offended by the man himself, silly! It was one of his "Moments of Zen." He put a clip from a segment of FOX News. They were reporting the weather in parts of Iraq. Unfortunately, they have to deal with hellish temperatures. It showed that I should stop bitching about Florida's tempratures, even though they are as hot as Hell. Anyway, that is a totally different story. I'm talking about the stuff on FOX News, not about my take on Florida's temperatures!

The temperatures in Iraq's cities reached to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, which must be horrible for them. This is when the people at FOX News start with their stupidity.

They report Iraq's weather, and tell Americans to be grateful for not having to deal with that. Then, they proudly explain that we have air conditioner, but the Iraqis don't have access to that. That made my blood boil; I even threw an eraser at the TV. It is one of the most selfish things I have ever heard! Iraq has no AC, because the Americans invaded and destroyed the fucking place. Americans are the one to blame. After invading Iraq, the country had no AC and electricity. They can't even find drinkable water! That is why they have to deal with the fucking temperature! It is your fucking fault, Americans; don't act like you don't know!

When I say Americans, I am talking about those who don't give a shit about the unfortunate people.

Unfortunately, I will be gone for a week. Today is when I leave with my family. We're going to the beach, which I dislike. It's too sunny and I always get a disgusting suntan. Oh well; at least the computer can come with me. It won't have Internet, but it will have Photoshop. I really have to colour some of my pictures. My older brother will also make visits. Yeah, that's a good thing. I can spend time with someone else. I can also call ~CrazySunshine13. She is a close friend from middle school.

Unfortunately, I never had the chance to see it. I am interested in seeing what the movie is about. People say that it is an unconventional movie. To me, unconventional is usaully equal to the word truthful.

Well, here are the things I heard on FOX News. It might be inaccurate, and I apologize for any mistakes that might appear in my "essay". This is the first time I try to find conservative bias on our news networks, and I congratulate myself for that.

"Love is a force of nature." One of the movie critics believed that the movie was promoting this message. Not only that, but they are also concerned with the "pro-gay propaganda."

Brokeback Mountain contains important characters; two of them being married cowboys. No, they are not married to each other. They have wives. Now, I am assuming that the two cowboys fall in love with each other. The commercials portray that situation.

Remember the quote I wrote on the first paragraph? You most likely do, and you may not be surprised to hear that the critics thought it was ridiculous. I am not sure why, but I do know that they are concerned about it promoting pro-gay behaviour. They also dissed the movie for other reasons; it was anti-marriage! The cowboys supposedly cheated on their wives. Maybe FOX News was promoting the "marriage is sacred" shit. If they did that, I would not be surprised.

Bill O'Reilly and the movie critics were also stating that there are too many movies that promote liberal propaganda. They have never seen movies with conservative themes. In my opinion, the belief that Conservatives are a persecuted minority is coming into play.

They are also baffled about the "anti-American" and "imperialist" movies. They fear that those movies will give America a negative image. Well, the country already. has a bad name, thanks to Mr. Bush and his administration.

In the beginning of the conversation, FOX News asked celebrities about their feelings towards pro-gay messages. Most of them were either indifferent or satisfied with the situation. "What do you think," one celebrity responded. Does FOX think that my people really care?! Don't we have to deal with their anti-gay bias on our everyday lives?! This is a situation that should not be debated. Sure, the movie is pro-gay! So what?! I suggest that you deal with it. Homosexuality will always be there, regardless of your opinions on it.

Seriously, FOX News has a conservative bias. I am glad that I found some evidence by myself, instead of having conservative and liberal adults mentioning them to me. Anyway, I tried my best on this essay, and that is what matters.

My Christmas vacation was interesting. First, I celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family. Fortunately, I was unwilling to receive many gifts. I am saying this because the average adolescent tends to ask for a whole lot of shite. I only received money and gift cards that this dA member will always use.

Then, I went to Tennessee. It wasn't as interesting as I expected. Well, what am I going to expect from a land full o' hicks?! One of the good parts was the time it took me to get there. I spent 14 hours passing through Florida (the hot-as-hell state), Georgia (the state with the sub-par education), South Carolina (the state with the beautiful trees), North Carolina (the state that always reminds me of ~fistlekits and her witty self), and Tennessee (the Elvis Presley state).

These states have at least one special quality in them.

30 December was a wonderful day, for three reasons:
It way my birthday.
I turned fifteen, which is cooler than fourteen.
I saw snow for the first time in my life.

...I don't know why I used an emoticon for a bullet.

New Year's Day was exciting. I was hyper during the countdown, due to the fact that I was incapable of believing that 2005 was ending.

I finally came back to Florida on 2 January, and I started school on a Wednesday.

Now, I'm going to post an interesting joke (created by yours truly)/story.

Story:
One day, I was sitting down in one of my classes. A classmate played "Fragile" (by Sting). We were supposed to use songs for "prayers."

When the song finished, my teacher made a commentary about "Every Breath You Take," which was performed by The Police. The class was told that the song was played at a religious retreat.

So, the song is supposed to send a message about love and unity. False! The song was about a person stalking someone else. It's basically a stalker's song.

How did I find out about that? There was a show on VH1 that talked about people misunderstanding the song. FYI: People even used it in weddings! The members of the band also talked about the incorrect/correct meanings of the song (Proof!).

Actually, the situation might have been about a man stalking his ex-wife (I don't remember the other details).

I went back to school on Nov. 3. That was when most of the schools opened.

Anyway, today I didn't have school; yeah...school holiday. I actually had a 4-day weekend. Friday was Veteran's Day.

As of now, I'm living with my father (I'd rather live here). That is why my mother and my older brother came over on Saturday. We went to the mall, and we walked around and looked for a store that sells an iPod nano for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, we didn't find any store with those options.

When I came back to my father's/grandparents' house, my grandparents decided to go to that mall, and buy the iPod nano. I really wanted it because I have a whole bunch of songs in my CD's.

Now, I currently own one with 314 MP3's in it.

No, I'm not happy because I possess a new item (People always ask that question). I'd always be happy with or without an iPod.

Let's go back to talking about today's events.

Today, I went to the eye doctor and received my glasses. I'm nearsighted, and my old glasses didn't help me. That was why I took another exam and bought two new pairs of glasses (It's hard for me to choose one pair).

I drew a picture for this holiday. I also considered it as gift-art for my father. It was his birthday gift. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner. I'm not in my house. Someday, I'll post it. It doesn't have to be Halloween-related.

Today, I'll go trick-or-treating my relatives (brothers and cousins). I'll be wearing a Monarch butterfly costume . I bought it; though, I'd rather be creative and make one for the first time in my life.

Some people might be wondering why I'm posting a journal at this hour. The reason is because I don't have school today. Some places are still recovering from Hurricane Wilma.

I did not, I repeat, did not go to shop for trendy clothes and all of that so-called girl stuff. Anyway, I went there in order to spend the money given to me on Christmas. They were a few hundred dollars.
First, I went shopping at FYE. I started to seek for CD’s from my favorite bands. Boy, it’s really hard to find a decent CD when most of your favorite bands are underground! Well, at least I was able to find Rasputina’s newest album: Frustration Plantation. I was satisfied with that. Then, I jogged to the DVD section, and looked for Invader ZIM’s third DVD volume. Can you believe that I didn’t buy it at an earlier day?! Anyway, I went to the cashier, and did what your average customer would do.
After that, I had to go to any store where they sold clothes (Hey, don’t look at me. Mom said I had to do this). I decided to try Hot Topic. They had to have something decent over there. The store usually sells idiotic merchandise for the average poseur, and I personally dislike that store. Let me tell you this. My visit to Hot Topic was actually an exciting one. They were actually selling stuff that I find appealing. They had a purple Invader ZIM shirt with ZIM on the front and a few images of Dib for the background. Now, this gets more interesting. I started to go to the back of the store, and found the Invader ZIM action figures everyone is talking about. I expected for them to only have action figures for Miss Bitters or The Tallest, but guess what? They were actually selling those Dib action figures, and I always wanted to have one of those! You should have seen that grin on my face. Anyway, I ended up buying the shirt I was talking about, action figure, and a Kyle plushie hanging in the South Park plushies section.
Nothing special occurred after that. Only that my brother’s girlfriend blabbered about who knows what. I don’t know, maybe clothes, or some petty thing (That doesn’t mean I dislike her). Then, we ate at a restaurant at 9pm, and…I just ate steak over there. Like I said before, it was nothing special. Wait! I forgot to mention something good. Anyway, I ended up eating Cookies “n” Cream ice cream. You know, it’s good for the soul. And…that’s all I have to say about that. The important part is that I had fun.

Today, I finally submitted my own ID. I might start adding a wallpaper as a part of my gallery. Anything else that involves using pencils and paper would most likely be displayed at the end of this month. That is when I receive a scanner for Christmas.

I bet nobody is currently going on my page. If you do, don't freak out. I don't have any art because I just joined yesterday. I'd be willing to submit art, but I don't have a scanner. I just joined so I can learn more about this site, and submit some of my "masterpieces" later on next year.

I also want to make new friends. I've visited a few pages, and I'm impressed with what I see. I also want these people to know that they're good at whatever they do (i.e. art, fanfics, photographs, etc.) by sending them a few compliments.
