We jumped for the first time with Rachel and it was sooo good...I love Noah, it's really depressing I'll only be able to ride him a few more times before the stables close. Ah! I still haven't finished the good-luck Morga/Mith/Corso pic, which kind of defeats the point a bit...ah well, maybe it can be a thank-god-it's-over pic instead.

The weirdest thing happened the other day.
I was on a random website, and there was this person going on about some cartoon. Now, it had a different name, but otherwise it sounded just like this thing I used to watch at my cousin's house when I was little, which is called Hopeanuoli. (Silver...uhm...arrow? I think... anyway it's about dogs.) I had a minor obsession with it when I was about five.
Now that is really strange as I haven't thought of it since I was little. It was like a chunk of my memories that just got filed under "Miscellaneous" and forgotten about. And now I've found out it is actually not Finnish in the first place, actually Japanese and just dubbed in Finnish! Weirdness!

This probably is rather boring. I just had to get it out of my system.

Now. What else was I going to say.

And now I just have to stretch a battle that took up a paragraph in the lamentably rubbish original into an ENTIRE 2000 WORD CHAPTER!!! HOW?! More accurately, WHY? Why do I still put battles in even though I know I can't write them?
Yeah. Anyway...

Well. I've been fiddling a bit more with Photoshop and wondering how Steph managed to master it in about a week. I have attempted scanning in pictures then colouring them in Photoshop. Not sure if I like the result or not. They're very...what's the word...simplified (read: two-dimensional). And does anyone know an easy way to get rid of the background colour? I'm sure there must be some ridiculously easy and obvious way of doing this, it's just that I'm a bit blind when it comes to easy and obvious solutions...

Anyway. I'll stop now because I want to try and find out if Making Money has come out in paperback yet...*must brave the terrors of Google* If I can't buy it soon I'm actually going to go and sit in a corner of Waterstones with a hardback copy and attempt to read it without being thrown out...

On the other hand...Randomness is growing at a terrifying rate...Fray has practically taken over...There are now nine pages of Fray and only two of El. And no-one knows what I'm on about so I'll just talk about something else.

Well, I'm off to Finland on Thursday. SNOW!!! YAY!!! And, my dad is bringing his laptop...which now has Photoshop on...so I can practice with the tablet loooads...

Oh yes and I had a riding lesson today...if anyone's interested...I was on Archie who was neurotic as usual but also tres bien... *hugs Archie*

So now I have a nonsense-story that makes no sense lurking ominously in my blazer pocket, tempting me away from Fluffle with its randomness, nonsensicality and complete-and-utter-confusifyingness. One of the main characters is called Elspeth. Since when have I named characters Elspeth? The other is Fray. Some people *cough* Arnie *cough* may remember Fray. He was quite definitely a WOLF, last time you saw him, yes? Now he is a HUMAN. I also have a nasty feeling Sol is going to make another appearance as well. Go away, Sol, stay in your own story! Not that I write it anymore...

Anyway. Rant over.

Um.

Well, I'll just go and try to write Fluffle. El and Fray will probably follow me up to bed. With a bit of luck my Fray-pen will run out. Though maybe purple and sparkly would be alright...poor Fray...

Today, I spent another half hour on the battle with algebraic fractions, finished, felt very happy, got my dad to check it, and found out I'd done it all wrong. So, another evening wasted.
On the bright side, I now have a working, un-spammed email account! Hurrah!
On the down side, I have more homework. And I haven't drawn anything for ages, or gone on Photoshop because I can't really do anything in half an hour. And that's actually how long I have, after I've wrested the computer from my brother, opened Firefox, checked dA/random havens, opened Photoshop (at least 10 minutes!!!) and found somewhere to plug in the tablet. You see, my dear PC can only do one thing at a time, which is not surprising seeing as it is about a decade old and has undergone major surgery on several occasions. Plus, I have to share it my my family.
On the bright side, it's two and a half weeks till the Easter holidays. Easter holidays = Finland + snow + dog!!! *hyperspaz* I haven't seen proper snow for three years, the snow here is rubbish! And it hasn't even snowed this winter. How pathetic.
Yes. I'm sure that was a fascinating read. Maybe I can oust Steph's rant-essay from the No.1 bestseller spot. Then again...maybe not.

I have had some weird and slightly disturbing dreams recently.
One was that I got to school and there was this weird smell of sewage everywhere, there was a big muddy path across the centre lawn and everyone had to walk across it...
Another was that I was at Pittern and there was a new horse called Hugo (there is already one Hugo!) and he would not come in from the field! Which was weird, since today, a couple of days AFTER this dream, I had a very similar experience with Norman...
Then there was the one where we all went to Marle Hall again, only this evil guy took over and there was a weird shiny ball thing that had to be protected at all costs but wasn't...

On the drawing front, I have just finished a sketch of this bit in Morfy where Morfy's dreaming about Kal, and then it gets weird and they single-handedly (hoofedly?) save the world. Then she wakes up. But Kal looks really evil and scary...
Also, I've done some pics of Morga in blue permanent marker. It actually looks quite good.

The other, thank god, was by Terry Pratchett, which meant that I could read it several times without getting bored. Wait, that's a good thing. Sort of. Except I now know bits of Going Postal off by heart, which is NOT good.

Right. Now some good things.
1) Yesterday we went to London. It was bon.
2) I had a mega-writing-spaz on Wednesday and finished Chapter Eight of Morga. That means I have finished Part One! And I'm actually quite proud of it, it won't need too much editing/shinifying, which is good because I hate doing both.
3) Um. Umumum. Nothing much else, really.

Just a couple of mini ones about how people can't be good at both languages and maths, how my mother is a "foreigner" ...oh yes, and the algebra-themed heart-to-heart with Mr Stringer.
My mum kept going, "Let's go see the Frenchie now!"
And Miss Killick expects me to rescue my English marks from the depths of dung-ness with my original writing coursework. Ha very ha. I've false-started three times now. Maybe I will just hand in the three books I've written in the past three years and run for the hills. I really have problems with writing for school. This is my usual writing timeline thing.

One: Wake up in middle of night with vague idea whizzing excitedly round head.
Two: Write down said idea.
Three: Leave to ferment for a few days.
Four: CHARACTER LIST!!!!
Five: Allow characters to fly free around head.
Six: Get extremely excited and write beginning.
Seven: Get obsessed with certain as-yet-unwritten scenes and play them over and over again inside head.
Eight: Slow down as plot progresses.

Most stories don't get past Stage Four. Very few reach Eight. (in fact...only Morgaseries and Wolfstory...omg...)

This is what I have done now.

One: Panic.
Two: Throw myself into it without any forethought.
Three: Realise I've just written a page of dung.
Four: Mope.
Five: Realise I need some characters.
Six: Wait for characters to appear.
Seven: Accept they are not going to.
Eight: Write something that fits all the guidelines perfectly.
Nine: Realise it is immensely boring and poorly-written.
Ten: Panic.

I don't know what happens next, but I've only got three days left. I AM DOOMED.

Anyway, no more revision. Science mockmocks over and done with. Yay.

He shows his omnipotence repeatedly thoughout the film—for example when he increase the number of Bruce’s fillifingers. Then, when bTRuce aquires God’s powrs he runs wild, using telekinesis to move cutler and bringing the mon closr to create a romantic atmospehere. Compare to god’s other qulaites, his benevolence is not often shown. However, he doesnto get angry of blame bruce, and also gives hima ntohwr chance near the end. Religious images are shown frewuetlyin "Bruce Almighty". When Bruce enters “Omni Presnts” he meets a janitor, an electricirna, and finally “the Boos”—God. This is a referne to the Holy Trinity. Also,Gof and Bruce both walkon water, as juses did on the lake of Galele. There are also quotes from the bible, that bruce changes o suit him, eg. “he saw that it was good” and “my will be done” from the creation story and the lords prayer respectivlty.

I had another crack at the theme of "Un-clichéd Horse Story" to see how hard it was to leave out the "spoilt blonde girl with an impeccable palomino pony that she is horrifically cruel to" character. It was actually scarily easy. In fact, no one is blonde bar the MC, no one has a palomino pony, and the main nemesis-type isn't even interested in horses.
And this is just the character list. I'm beginning to enjoy this.

Uhh well...I've gone into creative overdrive recently...got a new sketchpad so lots of drawings...also wrote quite a lot of the evil Chapter Twentysix...and I'm still writing that short story about the general. The only thing I can't seem to do is have an idea for my original writing coursework. Typical. I hate writing for school anyway. I always feel like it has to actually make sense, and give a vague impression of sanity. Plus our teacher has said we should write about a memory. I can't write about a memory! I tried that last year, remember? And it turned into a spazzed, muddled-tense, depressing offshoot of Sol. Those of you who read it will know what I mean.
Well, I did hunt through all my random short stories to see if I could find something useful. This is what I found.
1) A description of a tower from the POV of a crow
2) The adventures of some Stilton cheese
3) Sci-fi Humpty Dumpty

Amongst others. I don't think Miss Killick would be highly impressed by any of the weirdness.

Also, I have science mockmocks coming up in a couple of weeks...ON THE SAME DAY I HAVE TO HAND MY COURSEWORK IN...AND ON THE SAME DAY AS PARENTS EVENING...argh...

Yeah, so if anyone has any ideas for a piece of CW based on a memory, I'd be most grateful for them...

Though I don't know if I want anyone to see the pictures of the Lipizzaner colt who was MEANT to be chestnut. It's too embarrassing. (He has patches of dark and light brown all over, with the occasional fleck of orange. And his "star" looks like someone threw a bucket of milk at his face.)
The other two turned out okay, an Andalusian stallion which I repainted dark bay, and a Hanoverian foal which I did the same colour. I think the last is the best, though I spilt nail polish on it when I was doing its eye, so its side has gone all shiny XD.

Um...I can't really write anything either. I did begin a short story about a random general before a battle, but it went weird and I got scared and hid it under my pillow.

Yeah. Um. Umumumum. I should be revising. BUT...aha...I have left my folders at school! Haha! I cannot revise!

Actually, Schleich was the thing that started Morga off...*reminisces*...with the 2002 catalogue...wow, five years ago! That's when I first made up the characters. (I just found out yesterday that Threitag used to be called Thretyig. LOL) Then a year or two later, I started writing him.

Ooh, I had my riding lesson today, and it turned out I was in Arnie's lesson! Which was weird...I randomly heard this voice going "HI EMMA!" and there she was!

And...I'm planning to write a couple of pages of Morfy tonight. I'll try and finish before the new year. Then I think I'll have a break and just write short stories for a while, which NO ONE shall read because they will no doubt be strange/disturbing/scary. And after that, I will begin Book 4. Which STILL does not have a proper, sensible name. But it is very exciting anyway.

(PS. I'm in pain because my knee hurts, and my brother pushed me off a stile onto that leg this morning, and then I went riding. Just in case you REALLY wanted to know.)

Anyvay...I have drawn more crows!! And my scanner works now, so I have scanned them in! However, they are on my USB stick, which is upstairs, and I am a very lazy person so I won't go and get it right now.
But I did write more werewolf story and typed some Morga (only 34,900 and something words to go!!) so that sort of balances it out.
And I have an ominous feeling that I'm going to end up writing a story about crows. The characters are flapping round my head going "Caw!" at random intervals. Though they are quite cool, so I let them caw. (Though what possessed me to name one of them Alicia I have no idea.)
Also, in 25 minutes I'm going to Fiona's to babysit. Hopefully there will be no more "rabbit+microwave=happy Georgia" incidents...
And I really ought to enter that contest on PH...I did say I would...and I did, but the computer had a temper tantrum and deleted my post and I'm to lazy to go and write it again. Oh well.

I would like to read a book about horses. I go to my shelves. I scan the titles, pick a few that are horse-related.
THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!

1. There is ALWAYS a spoilt rich girl with a beautiful, expensive pony that she is horrifically cruel to.
2. The climatic event is ALWAYS a show where Spoilt Girl's exquisitely trained mount makes a tiny mistake and is subsequently beaten to a pulp by SG herself, resulting in the disqualification of Spoilt Girl and the victory of Main Character.
3. The main character is ALWAYS female! Yes I do know that riding is generally considered a "girly" hobby! That doesn't mean no boys do ride!!
4. None of the above things are true. There are some good horse stories around. (Fly-by-Night, Black Horses for the King, etc. And obviously Black Beauty and co.) But there are all these books that could be good if only they sort of veered away from the path of "Spoilt Girl is nasty. There is a mysterious mystery. Main Character vows never to ride again. MC rides again. Mystery is solved. SG is disqualified from climatic show. Happy ever after."

PS. Lots of Horse stories are different from this, but at least #1 is always true. There is always a spoilt rich girl. She is usually blonde. Her pony is quite often palomino and professionally trained, with an impossibly sweet and forgiving nature. Why? Is it some sort of psychological disorder among the authors of these books, that they have to have this character?

Anyway. Rant over. I'll shut up now. Oh and if anyone does find a good horsey book, can you tell me? I've already finished all my half term books. It's only Tuesday!

Jazmin accidentally came round for the night yesterday, so I dropped a horse on her head. We also had a strange conversation with A.L.I.C.E., which is rather amusing. (search it on Google and it's the first one that comes up)

It turned out it was actually a secret escape attempt by my worst enemy (?) but I accidentally ruined it. I trod on some nails which got stuck in my foot (??) so when she said "Quick! Run away!" I kind of did this weird laugh and said "I can't, because I have nails in my foot...hahaha!" The rest of the dream was just me walking round with nails in my foot trying to find a doctor to pull the nails out...(???)
And I now have...um...4 chapters and 4&3/4 pages to go till the end of Brakal!! Woohoo!!!
