It's wrong...it's so wrong. Wrong in the I-don't-want-my-mum-to-know-I-laugh-at-this kind of way. I love Yahtzee.

Anyway.

It's January. For those of you who have had any sort of contact with me within the past month you'll know that this means I'm depressed. I'm sorry, I can't help it. I think I'm going to start hibernating for the first two months of the year, see how that works. Though The Doctor seems to be helping a bit.

I'm on my 4th cup of coffee. Yes I should be drinking water, but if I drink coffee, my tummy thinks there's food in it and I don't have to eat. This is the most pathetic form of laziness I think I've come up with yet. I'm too lazy to eat.

I have at least 8 sketches that I want to scan and upload. My DA is a bit pathetic, I'm sorry for those of you (3) that actually watch it.

I think I shall go tie dye sheets. Why? because tie dye makes me so happy. Even when I'm like "Oh no, it's just sheets, this will not cheer me up". It does. Magical.

And then you, you know who you are, should call me. Yes.

Anyone know some good oil painting books/classes/ tutorials? I think that's my project for this summer... learning to oil paint on canvas.

Here's the thing, as much as you create art, art creates you. Shows you parts of yourself that were hidden. Exposes buried hurts and starts the healing. Do you know that some people still don't believe in magic?

These are not new concepts these are not new ideas but it's amazing to me how they become new again, in every day life. It's one thing to read about something, to know it in your head. But to feel it's energy flow through you is something altogether different and amazing and no, I have no great or amazing words or phrases to express my current gratitude to the healing power of the muse or god or where ever current inspiration may come from. I'm just kinda babbling. I do that. Some people like it.

Anyway, this is one of the many things I love about R. She sees my art as important. The doodles, the stuff she asks me to do, the strawberry vine...all of it. I've got a shitty past {who doesn't?}. I got a lot of current hurts I'm dealing with. I'm so blessed to have the urge to create from that pain, not destroy. To learn how to heal and love, not hate. Yeah some days I want to hit someone, but usually I'd rather draw. Some deity loves me very much.

Or maybe it's the shot of NyQuill I just took. We were out of the little cups so I just filled a shot glass. That's about right, right?

Stupid oceans are in the middle.

Anyway, I didn't sleep. So by 8:30 tonite, I was done. I took a nap, woke up after 1:30, and am now wide awake.
Oddly enough, it's always been restlessness that's compelled me to create, and so here I am, listening to a mix cd a friend made, drinking good ale, painting. Acrylic and beer together is a wonderful smell, really.

I understand that there's not really a point to this journal, but it's kind of a wonderful moment, I'm so content and peacfull right now. While I'm waiting for the paint to dry, I thought I'd share.
