Well, You know we had a 'heat-wave' were most of us were in our mid 60s but some places got 73, 79.... So heat wave i guess, but on the 29th (saturday) some places got snow.
On Saturday i went hiking on Lake Serene trail, but dont bother looking it up on google. The pix are NOTHING like the beauty i saw! It was supposed to be 2 1/2 hours up and same down. Well it took the 2 navy guys i went with and i, well, one of hte navy guys and i, (the other went ahead of Troy [my bf] and i) -hmm.. lemme start over. It took Troy and i 2h50m -but you must consider the fact that we got turned around, went back, stopped at a creek, took pictures, stopped at a small waterfall, played in it, took pictures, saw a bigger water fall, played on the rocks around it, took pictures, then saw a bigger water fall, the water was really fast and the rock hard to get to, so i (stole the honors of...) climbing on the rock sticking out of the icy fast paced water and took pictures, (the water started out at normal temp at the creek, turned to hypothermic at the top), then passed a few trickles of water falls, took pictures of thoze, and the pathways and the trees and the snow and the gorgeous views ..... Took pictures of the last waterfall b4 the top, got to the top, celebrated with jerky, howled like woves, went to the cliff edge and look at what we accomplished and saw the magestic 1/2 show shelf covered lake with the perfectly preserved EVERYTHING in it, crystal clear, no alge, no dirt, just years and years of frozen trees, (that i played Frogger on and almost fell in-!! -shya!) that leaked to a very noisy edge where the water cascaded down unto a beautiful waterfall and lead way to the steep hillside below us.
Suddenly Josh (the other navy guy) worriedly shouts "....guys-!!" and we turn to see him pointing at a HUGE weather front rapidly growing and moving closer and closer to us. You couldnt see the other side of the lake -!!!!! ITS NOT THAT BIG!!!!!!! So we quick grab our gear and try to out race the front as best we can, knowning we are just going down switchbacks again and again. We get lower and the wind starts spitting needles at our faces, i whip off my jacket so i can run faster (so do the others on their own watches). The snow starts falling, we get lower and lower, its just poundin on us, when suddenly..... it stops.........
We decide to take advantage of this opportunity and play in a cave and take some (yes, more) pictures. We walk down to the waterfall that had the giant rock that we climbed and got some cute pictures (though it was harder to climb this time because it was wet, and on the decent, i had a pretty clean fall -but it did some nasty shit to my knee).
No one really noticed at first, since we were by a waterfall, and it was misy-ing on us the whole time then we realize -its raining again! We start to pack up the stuff and high-tail it down the trail just to get i the car that much sooner. Then....

BOOM!

The rain comes pounding down on us! i have no idea what happend to the people we passed up, but oh boy! NOBODY got in our way! The rain is getting so intense and i have rocks and dirt and alge just sittin there in my knee, and my knee would occasionally give way, but -hey im writin this letter right? i lived. Josh is wet. Troy is wet. i am wet. We are ALL SOAKING. Finally, we make it to the car. It took us 1 hour to get down, when it took almost 3 to get up. (Troy lost his camera case -he blames me but i think he had the case, oh well, ill take the fall -i doubt its coming back -unless he wants to go back and look for the # of the person who (hopefully) found it -but i doubt hell wanna do thathe sbusy lookin for an apartment.) Were in the car. Soaking wet. On the freeway, and the windows keep fogging up, just like i had said they would.... he cant see. Funny as hell trying to keep us warm and the windows clear. We get back to marysville
-SUNNY!! What The Fuck.
That is messed up.
So whatever, we get home, take showers, Josh goes back to the ship and my mom sits us down to say.. (summarizing) "You have fun? Good. Troy, you cant live here anymore. Im kicking you out." ....... >:[
-sigh- So now were looking for 1bed, 1bath appartments, close to the base for him, but closeer to marysville so i can still go to MP.... As if that doesnt make matters sticky enough.... IM A MINOR. Take it, my mom did not kick me out, but hell if im gunna listen to her rules! get this:
he cannot be in anyones rooms (my house is NOT that big. its rooms LV room or Kitch. -thats it! and the Living room kitch and dining room are kiiinda connected. no privacy.)
no more...

Yesterday, Saturday Abril 29, i went hiking on a trail to lake serene -gorgeous views, with boyfriend and friend Troy and Josh. So many waterfalls and little 'rivers', seasonal creeks, mossed forest -just amazing views. It was interesting though, the '5-6 hour' trip took 2h50m to reach The top(about on track.)
We must have spent 15-20 minutes at the top of this mountain. It felt very accomplishing being up there . From the 1/2 snow covered lake, followed its edges to see the great waterfall that comes from it, and had a fun time racing down. The decent took about an hour, so our '5-6hours' were APPARENTLY meant for thoze who walk down the trail. So it was a reasonably easy hike. The only real dissapointments was that i did not get any real good shots of the cave, just the boys in it and the fact on the decent i had what didnt seem like a nasty fall, but had some nasty effects. I will have to upload the pictures sometime, as well as some from kyak point, but they are all on Troy's camera.... I dont kno if he has a USB cord, but if he does, it was probably lost along with his camera lens and bag lost on the trail
