So I volunteered at camp all day today and yesterday. That was fine, for the most part - though I barely got to do anything. They treated me like I knew absolutely nothing about horses.. right. Anyways, the first day was fine.. I didn't get to ride like my trainer said I would, but she wasn't around for the most part anyways. The second day (today) was even more boring. I felt like one of the camp kids, just being herded around to do nothing by people in my age group. Oh wow. I got to lead a horse for like 5 yards, and supervise a group of kids for like 30 seconds. That's the most I did the whole day. Then, when it came time for kids to start going home, they were painting the ponies in the indoor arena. I was just sitting alone on one of the jump standards, minding my own business and some lady walked up to me and asked me if I knew where "Devin" was. I said she was probably painting the ponies with the other kids. She asked me if I was supposed to be working there, and I said I was just a helper. She told me that for a helper I wasn't being very helpful. So, I just told her (true) that I didn't know many of the camp kids by name and that she could ask one of the counselors. She kinda just glared at me and stalked off toward her kid. Whatever.

Then some group of girls I don't even know (they ride there I guess) just start glaring at me and leaning in to talk to each other in whispers. I'm honestly not that dumb that I didn't know what they were doing, and yet they just keep talking, like 5 feet from me. ._.

So I'm obviously pissed off, and I'm probably not volunteering at that camp again. The riders and people at my stable in general are just rude pricks whenever my coach isn't around. That's why I like volunteering during the day, when the summer camp isn't running, when nobody's there to start shit. Whatever. I didn't even get to ride for the last two days like I was promised I would. I hate people that judge me just because I'm not as involved as them and because I don't jump and I'm not on the show team. It really pisses me off that they feel the need to be so rude.

Sorry about the rant. I'll write more non-rant-ish things later. xD

Anywaaaays, over that, I've got 2 commissions that are taking me a long time to do. They'll probably be up in like.. a few days. If I can finish them by then while balancing all my volunteering and odd-job-hunting. xD

I'm also going to talk to my trainer about part-leasing or leasing a horse, so that should be pretty fun. I'll definitely get some pictures if I do. x)

Other than that.. Life's pretty hectic.
I started riding a different horse; a stallion (I think!?) named River-dancer, or R.D as we call him. He's pretty jumpy, but he just pretends to be scared most of the time. He's just a big wimp around anything that moves. My trainer says I ride him phenomenally except for some little kinks in my self-confidence and riding style, but he'll teach me.

Not sure what else to write about.. xD

I've been feeling sick lately.. not looking for sympathy, just letting my watchers and friends know that's what's up with the hold-up on traditional and digital art. I've tried going out (like others suggested ^.^) for inspiration, and I've had it, but motivation is what I need to work on right now.. *cough, homework, cough.*

Oh, and guess what, I've been insulted once again.. n.n I got called "trailer trash" behind my back by *coughcough* my "friend"'s mother. She's probably just angry at me for some reason, but isn't she just a little ray of happy sunshine? I don't know WHERE that came from, 'cause of course I'm not the "preppy hollister lover" type (oh, I'm such a dissapointment), and I dress somewhat like a punk - but the outfit in total I was wearing was brand-new, never worn before and came to the sum of about 243 dollars, and I did not look like a whore at all. >.> But she couldn't shut her yap, and I'm being terribly disrespectful by talking about her now on a public website, but it's called karma.. and she better as hell believe in it.

Well, what should I care, anyways?

On the good side, I was asked by my art teacher to do a rather large painting of a horse at my school. 6x4 feet, or something like that. Apparently I'm the second freshman in 10 years to do it.. I just painted the board with regular white paint and I'm going to start the real thing tomorrow.

Anyways, I guess I should stop complaining for a bit and suck it up.. Lol. I can't change the past.

FINALLY, screw global warming, I've been waiting for this since, like.. fall. Talk about desperate.

Anywhoooo, not much has been going on really except that I'm experimenting with my hair once again. This time my first layer is going to be black and underneath lime green. I've seen it on other people and I think it'll look awesome; well hopefully, anyway. I'll never know what it looks like if I don't try it first, right?

Other than that, my (not-so) lucky friends are in New York City right now, at six flags. In my opinion.. bad place for a school trip, haha. You can probably guess why I think that.

Ooooh, and Guitar Hero 3 broke, haha, I'm such a nerd but it's like, ruined my gaming life. ): And I haven't had much to do with Halo.. I'm totally jealous of people with wiis for Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Metroid Prime 3. Grr, I wanna play that so badly.
(And luckily, my mom replaced my copy of guitar hero tonight. )

Ooh, and I might upload some art soon. I dunno. I've been feeling kind of self-critical about my art lately and too lazy/nervous to upload my traditional work I've been doing. I'm supposed to get my native-american art posters back soon once they come down from the glass showcase at my school (yes, w00t, second time in a row having my art showcased!). Grades are o'kay, not the best, but whatever, that's what happens to procrastinators with no initiative.. don't think I'm going to change either. xP

Okaayy, for the art scenario, I haven't uploaded much in a while but rest assured I have a whole bunch of sketches and stuff just sitting under heaps of work on my desk, lol. And my scanner's being evil, or maybe that's just me.

And as far as real life goes, I'm going to a concert tonight, yaaay! <3 Nothing special, just a local punk/ska band and I'm going with a few friends. XD So that'll be fun I imagine. (: If they ever manage to get their lazy butts on MSN.. On that note, the concert was INTENSE! <3 ahaha, I skanked my butt off when the dirty 30s played. (; Me and my friends all joined the skank pit and we were almost dragged into the mosh pit. Oh well, it was all good fun. (:

As far as riding goes, I'm still riding Jake. Turns out he's not the purebred arabian I thought he was (somebody had told me he was) but he's 3/4 arab and 1/4 quarter horse. Close enough, eh? Anyways, I'm just working on keeping him under control. I think we're doing okay, not the best, but we're holding on, lol.

Sooo, anyways, I've only started working on a canvas as far as art goes. I have no muse, and you can guess, it's of a horse. I worked on it for a few hours a week or two ago, got the sketch and design done, traced the outline of the horse and started some basic colouring. I haven't really worked on it since and honestly, I haven't had the time to do anything really artsy. I'm supposed to be entering a winter photo contest through my dad's work (which shouldn't be too hard to capture right now) but I haven't really thought about it. Maybe I'll get something done during the break.

I haven't had much of an art muse lately, and I haven't posted much of my digital art-paintingcrap in a while. Not that I have NO inspiration, I just always seem to be feeling stressed/busy/depressed/angry, and I know the cause for it. I can't just sit and work anymore, because of the shape of the household I'm living in right now. My sister and my niece came to move back in, and I'm not going to lie -- my house is absolutely trashed. There's garbage, piles of dirty clothes, broken s**t, all over the floor of my house. I have a small house to begin with, and now it's only gotten worse. My niece cries for my sister 24/7, but you see, she has an addiction to World of Warcraft and doesn't do anything else - doesn't take BASIC care of herself or her daughter, and also doesn't even watch her. I've lost my xbox controller, half my christmas presents and my tablet because she's breaking and stealing things and not being watched. It gets to the point where I want to call children's aid. It's a lot worse than it sounds..

My parents and I can't take take it anymore, and we've promised ourselves we're going to have a serious talk with her (which we already have.. *sigh*) and until then I don't think my gallery's going to be very active. ): Soooo yeah, I basically went on that huge rant just to get to one small point: expect little to no art for the next few months until she moves out. HOPEFULLY, that is, moves out.

Besides that, I *finally* came up with the ideas for my family's Christmas parents, I just need to pick them up, lol.

And.. on the real-life riding scenario (sounds like a reality TV show ), I'm still riding the purebred arab gelding Jacob. He's got his quirks; he likes chomping the bit, a little unresponsive to your leg, and his ears are sensitive from a bad accident, but I'm working on that and to fix that I've been doing "parelli" excersizes for warm-up in my lessons and getting him responsive to a soft leg, and it's really working. I can get him into a canter now with one small squeeze with the outside leg a few inches behind the girth. I'm so happy! So is my trainer, she thinks she's "finally found my match". So, that's all going well.. Hopefully nothing ends that soon.

And uh, I have company over right now.. XD so.. yeah.

1- I absolutely hate olives in martinis, I think it makes the drink look gross. =/ Because I hate olives.

2- My fingernails grow really fast. LOL. On that note, I HATE long fingernails.

3- I absolutely hate other people's feet, they're disgusting.

4- I'm in love with industrial, techno, and indie rock music, and I listen to almost anything except rap. I don't even think you can call rap music actual singing unless there's a non-rapping chorus and even then it usually sucks. (no offence to rap and hip-hop fans).

5- I hate the color baby pink and baby blue in clothes, I think if you should wear something, make it bold. (: Not saying I dislike anyone that wears pastels, I'm just not a huge fan of them.

6- I like to play soccer, but I don't do it as often as I should. Actually, let's rephrase that: I don't excersize as often as I should.

7-The only thing I like in animal print is animals. Or converse. Sometimes.

8- I used to write, every day, in a diary until I was nine. ): That's actually embarrassing!

There was thunder and lightning, and all the horses were all hyped up and excited when it started to rain, but once we got into the arena it just started to build up and build up until the rain was so loud we couldn't hear the trainer. -_- Plus, I must admit I was a bit of a slob this lesson and wasn't exactly doing my best at riding, I'll admit, but the rain made things worse and I almost fell off twice at the canter. xD Both times we cantered the pony-mare I was riding got spooked and cut the corners, no matter how many aids I gave her to stay on track, and she spooked alot, no matter how calming and gentle I was. Plus, I went up her neck a couple of times when she broke into a gallop at the sound of thunder, so we kept it at a walk to calm her down.. It was so bad I had to take of her saddle and wait it out until it got a little better.

I've also been working (FOR HOURS!!) on a new stable dream named Blackstone Creek Riding Academy. Ughhhh it's taking soo long. xDD

Anyway... A lot of you, as said before, who watch me and whom I know over Furcadia, will realize I haven't been going on Furcadia as much as I used to. Well, there are two main reasons. Firstly, I don't have as much free time during the summer, because my family wants to take me away on cottage trips, trips to my grandparents, and possibly a trip out East (Nova Scotia or PEI) sometime in the near future. So, as you can see, I'm away a lot, and during the weekdays, I'm either hanging out with my friends or family, going on daytrips, riding, or, and this is the most common, sitting at home, being a lazy couch potato. Because I can! I'm either reading e-mails all day, watching movies on the couch, or playing videogames. Because there isn't much else to do where I live that doesn't cost tremendous amounts of money. Anyways, to the second point, which I think deserves another paragraph, lol.

Well, this might just be me, but the equine-related areas of Furcadia are becoming a bit more of a chatroom than a roleplaying environment. To tell the truth, I haven't roleplayed in a month, or possibly more. People just aren't that into roleplaying, which doesn't bother me THAT much, because I'm a teenager as well, haha, and for those of you that know me, you know how hyper and psychotic I can get. But it's all good. I hope. Anyway, parts of Furcadia have lost my interest, because to be honest, I really don't know a lot of people anymore. I remember hanging out at Felwithe stables a loooong time ago, and recognizing every face that showed up there, but now I barely know anybody. Of course, I have a few close friends that I keep in touch with when I AM on Furcadia, but most people I only get the chance to say "hi" to about once in a month, because I don't really know them in any other place other than Furcadia. Plus, a lot of my friends started mysteriously "disappearing" and never coming on, only once in like, a month. Maybe they got a new alt, whatever, but I just haven't been seeing them. I'd give examples but I don't want to name away people.

Anyways... I'll stop with my ranting and give people a rest. o_O But, if you see me on Furcadia, don't hesitate to say Hi.

I was chatting online with a friend, having a good time at 12 AM in the night as usual (nothing dirty, folks), until I looked outside and realized it was raining. I'd seen a few flashes of lightning, as predicted by the weather channel, but I didn't know if it would really rain or not.. so I went out on my balcony for a bit to watch the rain fall and pass the time in cold weather, since my house doesn't have air conditioning and it's as hot as hell in here. But anyway.. yeah. I was sitting out there and all of a sudden I hear a BIG rustle in the bushes a distance away from my balcony.. Haha. I screamed and ran into my house like I never had before, me, the big brave person. Anyways, yeah, I was freaked out for a really long time.. I think I had my experience of the week there. XD. Anyway. You can expect some art from me in the next billion years; I'm a protagonist.

It was totally awesome.

We went on thousands of rides.. had a blast.. waited in lines for HOURS.. but overall, we had fun. An old lady even yelled at us at this church we had to go to! That was an experience, lmao! But s'all good. She stalked us for a bit and was constantly yelling at us in French.. But it made a good school story? Haha! Anywhoooo. It was sooo much fun. Goliath was by far my favorite coaster, along with Le Vampire, Cobra & Boomerang. Funfunfunfunfun!

Have any of you guys ever been there? What did you think? It was AWESOME.

Well.. On Monday it was like, snowing to the extreme - so much so that my bus, that usually comes at 7 AM, came around 10 to 8.

Well, we got it. (: This weekend's going to be around 22 degrees (celcius) all weekend. Today felt like summer! We had a high of 20 degrees. The weather here is very weird.

First of all, I take home my report card (or whatever you want to call it) home, and I only improved since last symmester/term (again, depends on the school). I went from 60's to 70's or above. And I thought I'd be close to failing; I always have been since I started in High School. Not really because I don't try, moreso because I don't really work hard, either. I'm lazy, I'll admit it, and there's no point in making up excuses. Lazy and proud.

But it kind of motivated me to really work at my grades.. I'm going to try to get an 80 - 90 % average. How hard can that be when you're ready to get your fingernails dirty and work hard? Eh.. I guess it was just a sign for me to get my damned butt in gear. And I'm greatful. (:

Anyway.. Second of all, I've started on my commissions and they're looking good. I'm really pushing myself to get these finished.. And stop putting them off, for god's sakes!

Ha ha.. Other than that, it's all good.. xD And for some reason I'm really in the mood for conversation, and no one seems to be up to it. >> SOMEONE TALK TO, ME DAMN IT!
