The zombies had mutating bodies but still had intelligence. The main kind was dressed like a resteraunt clerk probably inspired from the commercials for the movie Legion. They could shamble slowly in any direction or run in a straight line. They also seemed able to dislocate their jaws and vomit a stream of corrosive fluid.
There were also two female types. One had a thick tendril coming from its mouth that wrapped around the head like a scarf. The second type had arms that were split down the middle into two fanged tentacles each.
All of the zombies seemed to blame me for being turned into monsters...

Now for an example of a NPC
Lets see... I think I'll use Ichigo ( Bleach ) and Goku ( Dragonball ).

First I'll choose the gender and age since those are unaffected by the source characters. The character will be an 18 year old girl, just for some diversity (and I like making female characters).
Next I choose a name... The source characters are Ichigo Kurosaki and Goku Son.
For the first name I'll take Goku's last name and modify it a little bit, ending up with Sonja. As to the last name I will modify Kurosaki. Saru is the japanese word for monkey and Goku is a modified version of the monkey king. So from that we end up with Kurosaru or black monkey. So the character's name will be Sonja Kurosaru.

So far we have
Name: Sonja Kurosaru
Age: 18
Gender: Female

Source 1: Ichigo ( Bleach )
Source 2: Goku (Dragonball )

Now onto powers... since Ichigo is a Soul Reaver who turns into a Hollow and Goku is a Saiyajin who turns into an Uzaroo (Giant Ape) those elements can be fused. Sonja is a Void Saint that turns into an undead monstrosity in the moonlight. Both Ichigo and Goku use a form of psychic energy in the form of spiritual pressure or ki. Those can be fused into a similar energy that I will call Psyche. Psyche can be used for projectile attacks and flight. Both Ichigo and Goku learn to control the monsters inside of them, Ichigo as a vizard and Goku as a supersaiyajin, so Sonja has the potential to assume an upgraded form. As to weapons Ichigo has a sword and Goku has a staff. The combination of a staff and sword would be a naginata. A naginata that can be extended and burns with concentrated psyche. Both also have combat training.

and that brings us to
Powers: Kungfu, Psyche (Psychic energy that can form telekinetic and pyrokinetic effects), Void Form (In the light of the moon she becomes a berserk demonic monster 10 times as strong as normal and completely enraged. In regular moonlight she can keep herself from changing unless under severe duress. The sight of the full moon triggers an involuntary change. The void form can regenerate damage even regrowing lost limbs. Cutting off its tail causes it to regress back to normal, leaving Sonja unconscious.), Saint Form ( Once she learns to control her transformation 'by defeating the void in her own mind' she can assume a form 3 times as powerful as her normal state. Her skin turns red with white patterns and her hair turns white and grows in length. She has a tail in saint form. When she can no longer sustain the form it begins flaking off and burning away.), Black Naginata ( Her weapon is made from concentrated psyche that can change size at will. The blade glows blue and leaves a trail of sparks. Even if it is broken or shattered it can be reassembled by willpower.)

Now onto personality. Both characters are known for brash and impulsive actions. Goku is known for having an enormous appetite. Since Sonja is only a NPC there doesn't need to be alot of detail.

Personality: Brash and impulsive. Has an amazing appetite but never seems to gain weight.

The trick is to figure out an original way to put these combinations together. Imperfect seams lead to mutations which in turn add to the unique property of the character. Add on top of that the variable age and gender and any combination of 2 to 5 characters should be able to lead to thousands of original ideas

Remember no Godmodding though... the character has to be able to stand on its own without outright wiping the competition out of existance remember even Son Goku started out as a normal character (Till he got ridiculously powerful later on...)

I just had a bizarre idea for an Original Character Tournament
A limbo where character fusion ideas are trying to become
Original Characters.

The characters know they cannot really exist... for example a character
that may as well be a female vizard naruto or a cyborg smurf with an ax.
The goal is to earn the right to be called Orginal and sent to their own
canon universe

Probably a stupid idea... but it seemed like fun
I'm probably just sleep deprived

A few more ideas along this line. Rounds could be tailored
so that both opponents have a fair shot at winning.
Maybe somebody could be convinced to donate a pilot episode for the
winning character...
Surviving opponents could tag along to become supporting characters...

There should probably be a 5 point limit for the fusion sources.
Age and gender does not count towards the 5 points.
IE the character's age and gender are not determined by its sources.

The best coloring job will become the official colors for her entries due before September 11

Winner will get a short animation of a character in cgi as long as it isn't too far from a basic human form. The more I have to tweak the figure the harder it is too animate
