We are in a campaign that hurts our people including Turks, Kurds and the other elements of Turkish Republic.

We demand nothing except our peace. Let us finish this blood flow... Let us heal this wound...

i was out for a some time 'cos i started working in Fethiye that is a beautiful town on Aegean coast.

Before i came here i left all thoughts and disappointment behind. i'm a bit sad, a bit heart-broken and a bit shocked but i am still alive. :) The Çalış beach, where the hotel i'm working for is, is a silent place which can cause lots of poems. i already started some but they are not completed yet. New poems will get ready soon...

I can accept all visitors... My door is wide open...

This time I'm going to tell you a well-known story...

I'm sure that many people have read or heard about the magnificent novel of Lev Nikolavic Tolstoy; War and Peace...

I will give you information about one of the side characters of that novel... It's a bit long but i hope you can read it...

Her name is Sonja... She is a young lady who lives with her aunt's family. She has two cousines; Natasha and Nikolaj... They are best friends and suddenly Sonja fell in love with Nikolaj. At the age of 16 Nikolaj promised Sonja to marry her. But his mother did not want this marriage to happen. She thought that marrying with a poor girl is completely useless and illogical... Then the great French-Russian War has started and Nikolaj decided to attend the army. When he was leaving he was sure that he will keep his word...

Nikolaj fought against the powerful army of Napoleon. Finally the war was over and he had the chance to go home. On the way home he rescued a princess from the villagers who would not let the princess to leave the village. The princess -sorry, i cannot remember her name- was not beautiful but her manner made a good impression on young Nikolaj...

The war took a very long time and when Nikolaj came back he saw that the financial situation of his family was a tragedy. Moreover he had doubts over his love with Sonja. But he was decisive to keep his word. He had some arguements with her mother... Noone on earth could dissuade him from his promise... except Sonja...

Poor Sonja was dreaming to marry Nikolaj. All that time that Nikolaj was away she had continuously thought about him. She had prayed several times to the God to bring him back... Her aunt -she call her as "mother"- treated her like a bug. Her "mom" thought that Sonja bind Nikolaj with his promise and if this little hitch won't dissappear, their future will be lost... Then she pressured Sonja to forgive Nikolaj from his promise.

Sonja thought that her mom has right. She was binding Nikolaj... She made a sacrifice. She decided to set him free to make his choice. She was sure that Nikolaj will choose her as his wife...

The truth was something different, Nikolaj did not love Sonja anymore. He liked the princess he rescued and want to marry her. This marriage would also improve the financial situation of the family. When Sonja set him free he exposed his feelings to Sonja.

Sonja a bit shocked but accepted her great love to marry someone else. Just because she loved him too much she made this second sacrifice. Besides her hopes of being Nikolaj's wife one day never ended.

Nikolaj married with the princess and have chldren... But what about Sonja... She continued living with the family of Nikolaj... She take care of Nikolaj's children... She did that just to feel Nikolaj's presence...

Why am i telling that story? 'cos i feel the same feelings with Sonja. Our stories are different but our destiny is the same. Now i truely understand that the one who make the sacrifice always loses...

Something is wrong...

Last month I have faced a series of unfortunate events... At first a thief has stolen my TV and shoes... Then I nearly broke my toe while playing football... After that one of our electric cables has blown out. Fortunately we prevent our house from burning... Then I lost my job... And "the rejection" has knocked me out...

Now I wonder when and where the next hit will come...

I'm proud of being a son of our great anchestors who stood against the most powerful armies of World War I. On 18th March 1915, the tired Turkish Army challanged with that of Allies. The war had continued approximately 10 months and the Turkish side won a glarious victory. Self-sacrificing Turkish soldiers -called Mehmetcik- have left a remarkable note on the world history.

~Cevaplarım

1. "Küresel Isınma" -bildiğim kadarıyla- gezegenin ısı dengesinin bozulması sonucu ortaya çıkan sıcaklık artışlarına verilen isim. Sıcaklık iyidir diyen insanların aksıne bu 1-2 derecelik artışlar buzulların erimesine dolayısıyla deniz seviyelerinin yükselmesine, mevsim geçişlerinde farkedilir farklılıkların oluşmasına, yağış mevsimlerinin kısalmasına yol açmaktadır. Bunun doğrudan sonuçları şu sıralar memleketin de sıkça dert yandığı su sorunu ve kuraklık olarak baş gösteriyor. Su hayattır felsefesinden yola çıkarak varın tehlikenin büyüklüğünü bir de siz düşünün.

2. Bireysel olarak yapılması gerekenler belli aslında... Öncelikle kişilere çevre bilincinin aşılanması gerekiyor. Daha sonra büyük resme bakı;p kuruluşların ve devletlerin sanayi politikaları yeniden düzenlenmeli. Küresel Isınmanın en önemli sebebi olan zehirli gazların üretiminin düşürülmesi şart. Tabii ki öncelikle toplumsal bilinç oluşturulması gerekiyor.

3. Kendi açımdan yaptığım şeylerin çok çok fazla olduğunu göğsümü gere gere söylemek isterdim ama maalesef fazlaca birşey yaptığım söylenemez. Sadece kendi kullandığım ürünlerde -parfüm, deodorant vs.- aerosol gazlarının olmamasına dikkat ediyorum. Bunun dışında hayat koşuşturmacası içerisinde pek fazla aklıma geliyor ne yazık kı. :(

4. Kyoto Protokolü sanayileşmiş devletler tarafından yanlış hatırlamıyorsam 1992 yılında Japonya'nın Kyoto kentinde imzalanan, kısaca sera etkisi yapan zararlı gazların üretiminin azaltılması anlaşmasıdır. Bu anlaşmaya imza koyan devletler, kendi sanayi kuruluşlarınca havaya salınan karbonmonoksit (CO) ve karbondioksit (CO2) gibi gazların azaltılacağı yönünde taahhütte bulunmuştur. Protokole imza koyan devletlerden çok havaya en fazla CO salan devlet olan ABD'nin karşı çıkması gündemi işgal etmiştir. Bu tür bir taahhütün fabrikalardaki üretimi düşürmek anlamına gelmesi ekonomisi hakkında endişe duan ABD'yi protokolün dışında bırakmıştır. Türkiye henüz protokole imza koymamış olmasına rağmen imzalama niyetinde olduğunu açıkça bildirmiştir.

5. Başka insanların da bilinçlenmesi yönünde daha fazla gayret sarfedeceğim. Evet, yapacağım bunu. :)

Çoğu insan artık eski tadının kalmadığını düşünse de -ki ben de bunlardan biriyim- bayram günleri hala eski önemini koruyor benim için. Bir toplumu bir arada tutan bazı şeyler vardır. Dil, din, ortak kültür, ortak tarih bilinci vs. İşte bayram da bu birliktelik bağlarının güçlendirildiği güzel günlerden biridir. Bayram kutlamak ne bir insanı yobaz ne de ilticacı yapar. Düşünsenize dosluk ve yardımlaşmanın bu derece üst düzeyde tutluduğu bu tür etkinlikleri başka ne zaman görebiliyoruz çevremizde.

Bu bayramda mutlu olmanız ve başkalarını da mutlu edebilmeniz dileğiyle...

Ä°nsanları bir arada tutan şey çoğunlukla ufak iyiliklerdir. Tek tek ele alındığında pek bir anlamlı gelmeyebiliyor ama bütünü tamamlayan en önemli parçalar bence bu bahsi geçen küçük şeyler. Eh boşuna dememişler "Şeytan ayrıntıda gizlidir." diye. Sizin anlayacağınız ben bu sıralar küçük değerler üzerine yoğunlaştım. Bu şüreç de bazı arkadaşlarımın benden soğuduğu fikrine kapılmam nedeniyle başladı. Ne yaptım acaba? Düşündükçe mantıklı bir sonuca ulaşamayor insan. Gerçi bir kaç ay önceki sıkıntılarım yok ruh durumumda ama tam bitti derken yenileri katılıyor sabır defterine. Kızsam kime ne yararı olacak bilemiyorum. Kızmayınca da kendimi gamsız biri gibi hissediyorum; ki bir aralar öyleydim... Bazen insan varlığını dahi sorgulayabiliyor. "Diğer insanlar için ne ifade ettiğim" konusunda uzun süreli düşünmeler yaşadım. Bir de sonuca ulaşabilseydim... Sözlerimden intihara meyilli falan olduğum çıkarılmasın sakın çünkü değilim. Biraz sorunlarım var, hepimiz kadar... Zaten kim tam anlamıyla mutlu ki şu hayatta. Neyse ben daha fazla yormayım sizi...
