I love the way she draws the curves on the female body, and the males she draws are fantastic as well---it's plain to see she has a nice grasp of human anatomy. Also; exam week is coming soon! My life's been insane. X3 Friday I worked on projects all night, saturday I had drivers ed from 8:30-4, then work from 5-9, then projects until bed, and today I had drivers ed from 8:30-3:30, and now projects. :3

My subscription died, so ignore the lack of footers and poor quality of my journal; I don't have the money now to buy another subscription.

I'm so fucking screwed.
School work is piling and piling.
My marks are probably dropping.
My mom's a dipshit and is yelling at me about everything.
My aunt's going through breast cancer removal and her surgeon is the biggest fucking idiot I've ever had the pleasure of hearing about in the history of idiots; he deserves a Darwin award.
My creative flow is dead.
My art projects are murdering me and my ability to create something half decent outside of these projects is zilch.
I'm irritable. ( and no, it's not my fucking 'time of the month'

University and scholarship application deadlines are looming and I have no idea what the hell to do.
I'm trying to save money for post-secondary, but that's real fucking hard when I have to pay for a New York grad trip, grad fees, christmas shit, pet supplies, and meals.
I'm losing faith in my future.
I have no social life.
I'm running out of money.
I may have to drop out of the trip that was supposed to be fan-fucking-tastic.
I don't have time to read any more.
I'm losing the will to get up every morning.

I hate knowing that my first journal in a long time is one of loss... but I need to write this down.

Late last night, my best friend's boyfriend dropped her off at home after a glorious night. They kissed goodbye, and he went on his way.
It was raining, hard, and on his way there's this turn that's absolutely notorious. He was driving slowly.

We don't know for sure, but this is speculation. He hydroplaned and slammed into a car from Maine, who we think had his highbeams on...

He died instantly. The guy from Maine went into surgery today.

I was at a friends house when my mum asked me to come home and broke the news to me. This two first things I said were;
"You're kidding..."
and
"How's Alyson?"

These two were supposed to be happy together. You could see it. It wasn't a normal high school crush....They were in love.
I was out all day, crying and comforting...this won't be over for a while.

He is my muse for my Boursary contest entry.

So yeah.

Yeah.. ^_^;

As you all know I've started school and for the past week I've done nothing but go to school, go to work, stay up all night with homework/projects, get up early, do homework, go to school, go to work...

Rinse and repeat.

I did, however, have a FREAKING awesome time at the Billy Talent concert. We had Cartel (a smexy band I listen to) and Ill Scarlet (a new smexy band I found) opening, and then Billy Talent was made of awesome. Not only did they sound like they do on disc, a trait to be desired, but the lead singer's voice cracked me up.
There was also a female Blow up doll headbanging and crowd surfing.
LIKE OMFG WUT!?

Also, in school, I got my second semester switched about. I'm out of Theatre Arts, my FI World Issues is in that slot, and I have AP Psychology in what was previously FI World Issues. Talk about great.
I'm still working on Poli Sci this semester, though. My guidance counsellor and I are having some serious personal time. XD

My recent art project is also going up in the halls (I dun want it to, I hate it. DX ) but I think I got 33/30 on it---that or I'm blind and it's only 30/30. XD

These videos, there are plenty of them, are videos encouraging young ladies and young women to 'keep it up' and 'remember why they're doing this.

What's 'this'? Anorexia.
Bulimia.
Starvation.
Slow suicide.

I got to visit Winnipeg while I was out there and I went on a shopping spree. 6 new sexy t-shirts, a pair of sexy cyan-coloured Converse, some more buttons for my purse/bag/thing, a new hat, a squishy monkey key-chain, a new book and....and...o_o that's it.

I feel like a royal asshole.
I just bitched and got fed up with someone I'd called my friend.
I've had a long day, a long week, and my parent's bitching, my brother's drinking, my annoying friends and their brothers, my cat being put down soon, visiting someone soon for the first time in a year, being fat, being tired, and needing money...

Well, all that kinda gets to you after a while.

I was meaner than I should've been to him, but y'know...it's so much easier to leave something behind when they dislike you, right?
I tried with her and failed, but at least he hates me enough now that I don't have to deal anymore. Maybe if he keeps hating me, I'll feel better about being so horrible, and maybe he'll be better off. Hell, they'll both be better off.
I'm going to go to bed now. I'll try and convince myself my brother doesn't have a drinking problem, my cat is fine, my parents are in good moods, I'm rich, my friend isn't morbid and her brothers aren't asses, my best friend hasn't changed, and that I'm perfectly shaped.

First off, y'know that huge rant I made yesterday?
Well, I came home from work last night and my dad had a brand new laptop for me! It cost them money, but they took my old harddrive and jammed it into this one, so I didn't lose anything~

I was ecstatic~

The other good thing is my plain ticket to visit my best friend is booked. I leave on July 4th and return on July 21st. <3

It's also prom night! Unless I REALLY like the picture, expect to see few pictures of me...if any...

That's an old picture of my darling midnight. No she isn't evil.
We got Midnight when I was 2-years-old. I've always loved her. She was a runt, half-blind, and has had stomach problems since birth; that's okay, we bought special food for her and loved her anyways.
The problems didn't start until we brought home our next cat. Middy didn't get along with Tippy at all. They always fought until eventually she moved downstairs and never came up. I missed having her upstairs with me, but that was okay, I would still visit her.
Well, she developed a horrid eye infection in both eyes and no matter what we did, it wouldn't get better. She was losing her sight--tht was okay, we bought eyedrops that stopped her from getting worse.
Then, the other cats started tormenting her. They would come downstairs and they would fight, to the point where she would hide from them when she slept. She also started peeing on things if we left them on the floor; laundry, books, paper, shoes, jackets, etc. It was gross, and we cleaned it up, but that was okay, she was marking her territory, she would stop soon.
Well, it's been going on for a long time. My darling Midnight is now 15-years-old. I've had this adorable, loving cat for 15 years.

And now we're putting her down.

All I can think is how when I go down to use my brother's computer, I nudge her out of the way 'cause she blocks the screen. Or when I'm down there watching tv or something, I push her off my lap.
And she loves me anyway!
She still rubs against me, gives me kisses, licks my tears, sleeps near me, and purrs for me. I'm the only one she comes to every single time I call, and I'm the only one who can coax her out of hiding.
She loves me even though I was so mean, and now we're putting her down.

>_< I'm gonna miss her so much...but at least now she won't be tormented and chased by the other cats and won't have people like me being so mean to her.

I WANT MY FUKING LAPTOP!
I'd had enough AGES ago, and my dad kept saying "They don't know when the parts are coming in" or "they don't know when they'll be able to get to it".
Yeah, try two days from NEVER.
My dad went in today after I had a lengthy angry conversation with him. It does NOT take THREE FUCKING MONTHS to fix a goddamn laptop!

SO! He goes in and there's a note on the door. Apparently the bank went in and shut them down.
So now they're closed, the bank probably seized all their stuff, they probably have all this shit to pay off, they STILL have my laptop, and I may not be getting my laptop back at all, let alone before I go to Kenora!
I'm so fucking pissed it's not funny.
*loads shotgun* A 2000 fucking dollar laptop that my BROTHER ruined and was s'

osed to be under warranty. If I don't get it back, he has to pay for it with money he doesn't have.

Friday I went to the movies with my aunt, came home, stayed up until 1am and got up at 4am to be at work for 5.
I got home arouns 2:30pm and was too tired to work on my assginments, so I played TP and watched Rent for a while.....then emo'd massively.
So, I went to bed around 12:30am last night and got up at 7am this morning to be at work for 8. I got home around 5:45pm and started working on my assignments.
SO!
I have a creative writing children's story due tomorrow that I'm not going to hand in tomorrow. I still need to draw the pictures.
I have a Sociology exit project I need to present on tuesday. I still have to write half a story, get my posters together, organize my thoughts, and psyche myself to present infront of the class. X__x;;
Then I have an 800 word essay on Romeo & Juliet due on wednesday for english class that I have yet to start.

This is also exam review week. I'll have a creative writing exit project due soon and I'll have 2 exams(after exemptions) next week. Tuesday'll be english and Friday'll be FI Modern History.

Fun fun!
Then grade 11 is over and I get to go to prom and safe grad with my special friends who're graduating...

I decided today to help one of my friends with a paper concerning discrimination. He came to ask me for help considering discrimination on homosexuality.

I decided to look for some websites to help him, other than just my word, and I found a few things that particularily disturbing.

A website I will not voice (if you're really all that interested, feel free to note me) came across on google.

I'm all for people having and voicing their own opinions, but when these opinions turn vulgar and 100% disrspectful or even completely and utterly ignorant, that's when I get a little iffy.
Now, I'm not claiming I'm perfect, concerning this, but I try not to be overly rude or offensive.

These people are claiming that education on homosexual matters is wrong.
They say that pro-gay posters in our schools are all well and dandy, but when anti-gay posters get put up, the people get sanctioned. Of course they do, you don't see anti-christian posters or anti-black posters up in our school halls, do you?
They claim that we are not educated on the health risks involved in homosexuality, but other than (in one article I read) briefly mentioning AIDS and cancer, don't specify the risks(way to keep the ball rolling *cue sarcastic thumbs up* ). Since when were AIDS and cancer limited to the homosexual population?
They claim that homosexuals shove our 'agendas' down their throats, and that it's unacceptable. (( Hey guys. All of you. Go be gay. NOW! ))

These are just a few of the things that they---disagree with.

I've been thinking a lot lately, and testing peoples boundaries, especially with my parents and my sociology class.
If any of you read my last journal, you would notice I mentioned being a homosexual.
Is that why few of you responded? Are you set aback? Are you confused? Do you resent me now?
My mum asked me whether I am, or want to be, and I had to answer her without crying. She accepts me, but I don't know if she understands.

I want to smile and hug someone, and at the same time I want to shrink back and pretend I hadn't said anything at all to anyone.

Yeah yeah, I know. Ignore the journal.

I will say, on a lighter note, that I bought two art books not long ago, one on animals and the other on the clothed human body. I also watched Loveless!

And while I dream these dreams of the future, sitting in my rocking chair, typing on my fathers laptop, I look outside and I dream.
The dark, starry night is full of faces. Newborn children with their entire lives before them, beginning a new story. Women and men of all ages HIV positive with the chance to live for a year, without medication, and 5 years with it. I see women and men making their way, just crossing the boundaries of adulthood, nervous smiles on their faces. I see children living in poverty, wearing clothes too worn to be considered anything but rags, helping to care for siblings and parents as they know naught of education. I see mothers, pregnant with their children, smiling with their spouse and families, happy. I see homosexual teens being beaten down for being nothing but true to themselves.

And as I sit here, on my fathers laptop, watching satellite tv, in a comfy chair, food in my belly, thinking about school tomorrow, I realize I am priviledged.

I am a homosexual caucasian girl, nearing the end of my teenage years and the end of my highschool education. I live in the upper middle class, riverside property, full of hopes and dreams. I am a pianist and a guitarist. I am an artist, and a novelist. I can appreciate, criticize, empathize, love, lose, hate, and have all the oppourtunity in the world to fulfill my dreams.
I am a dreamer, a believer, and I create modern miracles with my smiles, I can cure depression with a wave, and I can save a life with a hello.
Something so simple as a smile, a wave, a hello, can make someones day, can give them something to stand higher for, something to live for.

Tomorrow I challenge you. Look at five people you don't know. Don't smile at them, smile past them.

Welp, just a little update for you guys!

We haven't gotten any word about my laptop yet, but my brother will be paying for the repairs.

SO! This is my plan for the next bit.
1) Post in a long neglected rp forum I'm a part of.
2) Try and get some of my to-do list done, along with other designs and drawings.
3) Do my list of homework, most of which is writing.
4) Work on Katt's and my forum, typing up the information sections that she can't due to her surgery.
5) Clean my room in hopes of getting it painted this weekend.
6) Have a bit of fun in the process.

'Cause, y'know, I do have a 6-day weekend.

saturday & sunday(today and tomorrow) -- normal weekend

I got a 98% on that Modern History essay I was freaking out about.
I also survived a week of tests, quizzes, major assignments, and 5 page sociology papers.

I'm heading off to n anime meeting with a girl a girl I met at my March Break excursions tomorrow night. It'll be swicked.

Not to mention I've gotten back up on my feet in the RP realm, a bit in the Art realm, and a lot in the OMFG Friendz realm.

Sunday's also my brother's 18th birthday. April fools day. Would'ya ever believe it?

Woke up with a massive headache, blurred vision, a stomach-ache, was exhausted, and I was still shakey. I went back to bed, obviously, got up at 11, and tried to eat something. I mde hotdogs and frenchfries, had a bite of my hotdog and a few fries and threw 'em out 'cause I felt like crap.

At least I get some time now to work on my essay, which is now due friday. I think I'm just about done my research. Now to get started on the writing.

Don't expect to see much art soon. I have my essay, my homework load, my chores, my life, my friends, and my mum coming home early to deal with. Not to mention I've hit yet another block. >_< So, I'll try and get SOMETHING up at some point.

I think, although I could've sworn I'd done it, that I forgot to save my stupid fsking essay.

It's due monday. 750+ words. In french. Proper format along with stated book and web sources. Due monday.
Now I have to email my stupid teacher and ask for an extra day or two.

Fuck.

Yet again, the infamous windows operating system never ceases to dissapoint me.
It's the end of march break, and of course I'm a procrastinator.
I have a Modern History 750 word research essay, in french, to finish for monday.
I got my research and a bit typed up, so yeah. I figured my saturday before work would be more than enough.
WRONG

I was at Katt's, and switched to the windows side of my Mac, and it said I had to activate windows.
Alright, simple enough, I'll wait 'till I get home and have an internet connection, then perfect, back to normal.
Nope.
Turns out it doesn't feel like working. I need to get into windows to be able to switch back to Mac. If I can't get into windows, I can't get onto Mac, and therefore have no way of accessing this horrid essay of mine.
FUCKING SUCKS.
I HATE windows with a fiery passion.

What else is new?
My 2d and 3d animation bootcamp is over. Had fun. Animated some stuff. Had fun. Made friends. Had fun, and had fun.
It was great. <3

I start classes with Katt at the Centre for Arts and Technology that go from tuesday - friday, I also have to write a research essay and do an art assignment (both for modern history), then do some paraphrasing and precis writing for English.
Not to mention get my art groove on, and work my job.

Besides that, nothing new is coming up, and nothing new happened.

I knew this weekend was fucking horrible.

One of my pet mice. My beautiful, gorgeous Cyan. The one who always let me pick her up, and took treats, cheerios, and sunflower seeds from my hands...the gorgeous, wonderful Cyan..

She passed away about 10 minutes ago.

She was fine earlier....she was fine!

Katt (~The-Cookie-Goddess) and I currently have TWO comics in the making, and at the rate the stories and our skillz are growing, it won't be long until you see them.

The first one, our first love child, is called Forget Me Not. It's a story about a vampire and a hunter banding together in the midst of a war to end the chaos. As we all know, there has been an endless war between the hunters and vampires, a question of morals and hatred and such. The two, Savage and Cyan, overcome their differences and learn to work together help the others see past their differences as well. It's a story about overcoming barriers, and is accompanied by less important(but still major characters) such as the ageless wolf, Knight, the flirtatious vampiric club owner, Amedeo, his playful werewolf friend, René, Cyan's young cousin, Scarlet, Cyan's opposite twin, Cerulean, and many more. <3
We have, I believe, 3 solid chapter scripts with more in the works, and an ongoing plot happening behind it.

Our second, newest love child, is still in the works and is, so far, unnamed.
It's about a girl who's dreams come true as she lives out her favourite fairytale. A story of an evil imposter who posed as the prince of Gaia, the magical world beneath the human realm, and set an enchantment upon the real prince, a spell never meant to be broken. However, the rest of the book's pages have been burnt, blotted, or destroyed. Noella, our main girl, has been invited by the prince of Gaia to see him in his palace, and become his bride. She leaves her home late in the night, accompanied by the giant bear, Ursus, who she quickly finds affection for. Slowly, she begins to realise that the books pages are clearing up, or coming to life, but what does it mean? The prince's dark motives are soon revealed, as Noella fights the classic battle of right versus wrong in a tale of deceit and lies.

If you haven't read through this yet, then you should.

Every day, there are more and more Craigs List posts seeking artists for everything from auto graphics to comic books to corporate logo designs. More people are finding themselves in need of some form of illustrative service.

But what theyre NOT doing, unfortunately, is realizing how rare someone with these particular talents can be.

To those who are seeking artists, let me ask you; How many people do you know, personally, with the talent and skill to perform the services you need? A dozen? Five? One? none?

More than likely, you dont know any. Otherwise, you wouldnt be posting on craigslist to find them.

And this is not really a surprise.

In this country, there are almost twice as many neurosurgeons as there are professional illustrators. There are eleven times as many certified mechanics. There are SEVENTY times as many people in the IT field.

So, given that they are less rare, and therefore less in demand, would it make sense to ask your mechanic to work on your car for free? Would you look him in the eye, with a straight face, and tell him that his compensation would be the ability to have his work shown to others as you drive down the street?

Would you offer a neurosurgeon the opportunity to add your name to his resume as payment for removing that pesky tumor? (Maybe you could offer him a few bucks for materials. What a deal!)

Would you be able to seriously even CONSIDER offering your web hosting service the chance to have people see their work, by viewing your website, as their payment for hosting you?

If you answered yes to ANY of the above, youre obviously insane. If you answered no, then kudos to you for living in the real world.

But then tell me why would you think it is okay to live out the same, delusional, ridiculous fantasy when seeking someone whose abilities are even less in supply than these folks?

Graphic artists, illustrators, painters, etc., are skilled tradesmen. As such, to consider them as, or deal with them as, anything less than professionals fully deserving of your respect is both insulting and a bad reflection on you as a sane, reasonable person. In short, it makes you look like a twit.

A few things you need to know;

1. It is not a great opportunity for an artist to have his work seen on your car/zine/website/bedroom wall, etc. It IS a great opportunity for YOU to have their work there.

2. It is not clever to seek a student or beginner in an attempt to get work for free. Its ignorant and insulting. They may be students, but that does not mean they dont deserve to be paid for their hard work. You were a student once, too. Would you have taken that job at McDonalds with no pay, because you were learning essential job skills for the real world? Yes, your proposition it JUST as stupid.

3. The chance to have their name on something that is going to be seen by other people, whether its one or one million, is NOT a valid enticement. Neither is the right to add that work to their portfolio. They get to do those things ANYWAY, after being paid as they should. Its not compensation. Its their right, and its a given.

4. Stop thinking that youre giving them some great chance to work. Once they skip over your silly ad, as they should, the next ad is usually for someone who lives in the real world, and as such, will pay them. There are far more jobs needing these skills than there are people who possess these skills.

5. Students DO need experience. But they do NOT need to get it by giving their work away. In fact, this does not even offer them the experience they need. Anyone who will not/can not pay them is obviously the type of person or business they should be ashamed to have on their resume anyway. Do you think professional contractors list the experience they got while nailing down a loose step at their grandmothers house when they were seventeen?

If you your company or gig was worth listing as desired experience, it would be able to pay for the services it received. The only experience they will get doing free work for you is a lesson learned in what kinds of scrubs they should not lower themselves to deal with.

6. (This one is FOR the artists out there, please pay attention.) Some will ask you to submit work for consideration. They may even be posing as some sort of contest. These are almost always scams.
