Well, folks, it’s that time of year again… Christmas. You know what I like most about Christmas? It’s the fact that people try to be with their relatives, and spend the Holidays with them, no matter where you are. Me, I always like Christmas because I get to spend it with my family and spend my time in the kitchen, cooking every kind of sweets and cakes I like, with my mom. As for presents, well, this year I only asked for one present really, the sequel of Dracula, written by Dacre Stoker (Bram Stoker’s great-grandnephew), which was written basing himself on notes that Bram Stoker left from the original novel, and that did not make it. As for the rest, well, money is always a good present; because that way I always know that I get to buy something I really like, when the time comes.

This is my way to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all, my friends. I wish you all get what you wished for and well, remember, Santa Claus is coming (or is it Sandy Claws, like Jack Skellington calls him?) and he knows who’s been naughty, and who hasn’t.

Bem, pessoal, mais uma vez chega àquela altura do ano… o Natal. Sabem o que é que eu mais gosto do Natal, amigos? É o facto de que parece que as pessoas se sentem mais próximas umas das outras, e também de que é talvez das poucas alturas do ano em que nós pensamos mais nos outros do que em nós prórios, lembrando-nos daqueles que mais precisam. Mas sobretudo, do facto de que fazemos quase de tudo para passar as festas com aqueles que nos são mais próximos. Eu, eu gosto de passar o Natal com a minha família, na cozinha a fazer todos os doces e bolos que gosto de comer durante esta altura do ano. Quanto a presentes, este ano só pedi uma coisa, a sequela do livro Drácula de Bram Stoker, que foi escrita pelo sobrinho-bisneto do autor, Dacre Stoker, a partir de notas do romance original e de ideias que nunca chegaram a ser usadas na obra pelo Stoker no final do século XIX. O resto dos presentes, provavelmente será dinheiro, o que é bom, porque assim posso comprar algo que eu goste, na altura que encontrar algo que ache que tenho de ter.

Esta é a minha maneira de vos desejar um Feliz Natal, amigos. Espero bem que tenham tudo aquilo que desejam no sapatinho, e lembrem-se que o Pai Natal está quase a chegar, e ele é que sabe quem é que se portou bem, e quem é que se portou mal.

Fame (remake) – (Everyone wants fame, but to do that, they need to work hard and pay in sweat, to achieve it.) – Like I said, I just feel like dancing, right now!

Friday the 13th (remake) – (Jason Vorhees is back, and Camp Crystal is going to be his playground.) - A nice come back from Jason, who still knows how to rip someone apart, limb by limb. Lot of blood and screams, just like the way I like it!

Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder – (The end of Planet Express as we know it might be close, but will Fry, Bender, Leela and Amy be able to stop fate itself?) –The movie is awesome. You’re probably thinking, where and how did I come up with such an idea? Well, I do have a lot of time in my hands (or, at least I had back when I came up with the story, lol), and well, I thought that it would be a great idea to try and combine both storylines, and create something new, something that no one around here would have dreamed of doing (okay, that’s my huge ego talking right now…, something… something… something insane and creative, let’s just say that.

With the help of my friend who was kind enough to help me with it, by drawing the characters in the suits and dresses that they will use in their adventures. Once again, I thank you for helping me out with this… It was an honour for me to have you helping me in this project. I also like to thank my business partner who gave me a few ideas, when I told him about the project. Finally, I want to thank everyone who read the story, and for the support that you gave me so far. I’ll post another journal soon, where I will reveal a few more details about the story and about the characters in it.

Right now, I’m going ice skating with my brother and my best friends. If anyone of you wants to know more about the story, another chapter will be online soon, and you can always ask me something about it, if you want.

Well, once again it is my birthday! Today I complete 22 years… I’m getting old, but it’s a good thing I don’t feel old. In fact, I’m feeling younger. It’s probably because I believe that I have the free spirit of 5 year-old kid inside me (I watch too many cartoons, it’s a proven fact by all those who know me). Still, today I have plans to celebrate this amazing day with my family and my friends, because without them I’m nothing.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince – (Changes are in the air, and Hogwarts is about to become a war field, between the armies of Professor Dumbledore and of Lord Voldemort) - an amazing adaptation, and although there are certain sequences in the film that do not exist in the book, it still captures our attention and we can identify where the story is going to. Wonderful special effects, and an awesome acting from Jim Broadbent as Professor horace Slughorn, and from the rest of the cast too.

The Pink Panther 2 – (The Pink Panther diamond has disappeared again, and Inspector Jacques Closeau is back on the case) - Closeau has done it again! Not only he solved the mystery, but he also manages to make us laugh with all those hilarious pranks of his. A definite must for those who love Steve Martin's films.

Dragonball: Evolution – (Goku and Bulma have to find the seven Dragonballs, and to do that, they have to destroy Piccolo) –Not exactly what you could call a masterpiece… From all movies in this list, I think that this one is the only one which really disappointed me, so far. The only cool thing about it was the fact the way they characterized Bulma was actually cooler than I expected.

Fame (remake) – (Everyone wants fame, but to do that, they need to work hard and pay in sweat, to achieve it.)

Friday the 13th (remake) – (Jason Vorhees is back, and Camp Crystal is going to be his playground.) - A nice come back from Jason, who still knows how to rip someone apart, limb by limb. Day 4:

The next day, just like my mother had decided, we all picked the train to Kutná Hora at 10 a.m. From my experience, let me just say that although the Czech had a few things which were simply bad, when it came to transportation, they are the best. The train departed and arrived on time, with not even a shred of problem. The trip was quite restful and I was even able to sleep a little. When we arrived at Kutná Hora, the first thing I thought when looking through the window and seeing the train station, I thought to myself “Oh my God, I ended up in a train to Bosnia!” (No offence intended, my friends, it’s just that the place looked like a scenery of where WWII happened). But then, after getting in the bus to the centre of the city, things started to get a lot better. We first went to see St. Barbara’s Cathedral, which is a very beautiful cathedral, because the stained-glass windows were very beautiful. After that, we to see the “Column of the Plague” which is a stone column carved in memory of those who perished during the plague and after that the Italian Court, which was the place where in the beginning of the 14th century, was the first bank of the reign. I must also add that Kutná Hora was once a very important city in the History of that country, because it was from there they started to extract silver. That explained; let me tell you that the extraction of silver was so important for the city, that they still have an old silver mine, which is opened for tourists to visit. I guess you already know where this is going… and yes, I and the rest of the group went to visit the mine. When inside it’s really cold and humid (there were 40ºC outside, while inside the mine, there probably 10ºC, so you can see that the difference between the temperatures was very big) and you can’t really see a thing. Our tour guide even dared us to turn off our lanterns, so we would experience for a few minutes the conditions in which the miners worked back in the Middle Ages. Not the place where anyone who suffers from claustrophobia. Already outside, we continued the tour in the museum, and saw they extracted the silver and ho they then made coins from that same silver. Next, we went to see the “Stone Fountain” which is a very peculiar fountain. We even decided to fill our water bottles with the water from it, and since the water is so cold, it felt really good. Then, we visited a small museum, where they were exhibiting a small exhibition about the history of chocolate. When things were getting good, it suddenly starts to rain, and we get all soaked in a matter of seconds. Really weird weather, don’t you agree? Then, to get things even better than they were, we got lost, and we end up on the other side of town, which was exactly the place where we did not want to go. Not having other options, we took the train from Kutná Hora station B, to Kutná Hora station A, and we then we got in the bus again, back to the centre. There was only one more place we wanted to see and that was the Ossuary, which was a church full of objects made out of human bones and skulls. Their most famous object is a candelabra made out of bones (Don’t worry, I brought many photos from that place, and I’ll be sure to post them here), which reminded me of most pirate stories and pirate movies. A really creepy place… Beautiful, but absolutely creepy, believe me. Since we did not have anything else to see there, we went to the supermarket to check out the prices of things, and see if they were cheaper than in Prague or not. The conclusion was obvious; things were a little cheaper than in the capital. We then went back to the station and got the train back to Prague. Being exhaust from the trip, we decided that it would best for us to go back to the hotel, but before that, we went to the Centrum Chodov to have dinner. I went to the KFC, my brother decided to try a typical dish, and so did my dad and my aunt, who decided to eat a soup. As for my mother, she decided to eat a huge ice-cream with pieces of fruit and walnuts in it. One of the things I hate is that all shopping centres and other shops all close at 9 or 10 p.m., while in Portugal they stay open until midnight. When we arrived on the hotel, me and my brother decided to do the same thing we did in the previous night, so we went to the vending machines and bought a few sodas to drink while watching television.

Day 5:

The plan for this day was simple, we were going to check out the Old Jewish Cemetery, and then, after that we would go see the rest of things that we forgot to see in the previous days. Getting to the place where the Old Jewish Cemetery is located is quite easy. Day 1:

At 9 o’clock we were already at the airport ready to make our check-in, before entering the plane. We departed at 12 o’clock (but not before I was able to buy a few chocolates to eat on board… What did you expect? I’m crazy for chocolate!), and I might say that the flight was very pleasant, and there was not a single problem. We landed in Prague at 15 o’clock, right on schedule. The airport was quite sophisticated and it was easy for us to move around without getting lost. Since my mother had the brilliant idea of reserving a taxi to take us to the hotel, we did not have to worry about transportation. When we exited the terminal, they were already waiting for us. The guide did not speak English fluently, but he spoke the elementary which was fine with us, since we had a lot of time to practice our English. Half an hour later, we were in front of our hotel, the Top Hotel Praha, a four-star hotel in Chodov. The place was very nice, with an art-deco style. The reception and the main entrance were very beautiful, and although at first I thought that my mother had picked a bad hotel, I was happy to see that my assumptions were wrong for once. It had a Zen garden, a Bowling alley, a great bar which was open 24 hours a day, a indoor swimming pool, a Tennis court, and a casino. All in all, it was one of those places that we all dream of, while sleeping. After putting our stuff in the rooms, we went exploring, since it was only 17 o’clock. After getting a few information about the public transportations, we went to the Centrum Chodov (Centrum is Shopping Center in Czech, for those of you who don’t know the language) to grab the subway. My first impressions about the transportations were positive, because it is very well organized, and unlike Lisbon, where you need to get a different ticket for the bus, and a different one for the train, and so on, there you only need a ticket for everything. Our first stop, the National Museum and the Wenclaus Square. I might had that the square is named like that after the protector of the city, St. Wenclaus. An imposing building like the museum, on a beautiful square like the Wenclaus Square, makes you wonder if you are on another dimension or on another country. (Oh, I almost forgot about this point: One of the few things I disliked about the city itself is the fact of being so dirty, and I’m not talking about the trash on the ground, I’m talking about some of the buildings that were covered with soot, mainly from the air pollution. They really need to clean them in the near future). Anyway, going down the Wenclaus Square, soon we found ourselves; we see buildings with all sorts of styles, like the beautiful Grand Hotel Europa, and lots of buildings with Renascence paintings on their fronts. Then, after walking quite a bit, we finally see why the city of Prague is nicknamed “The City of the 100 Domes” and “The City of the 100 Clock Towers”. In front of us there was a huge clock tower, which is famous for the sound of its bells. We decide to go up, because it was almost 6 o’clock, so we could hear the bells. It was tough to climb until the top, but it was worth. When the clock stroke 6, we heard the bells stroking a beautiful melody, which could be heard all over the city. Almost at the same time, the rest of the clock towers that were located in the city, also stoke 6, and the only thing you could hear was the stroke of bells. The view from up there was also breath taking. Going down, we continued our way through the streets, looking for other things to see, and soon we see the Powder Tower, one of the most important marks of the city, which was in the old days, one of the thirteen gates of the city, and right next to it, the Obecní Dum, which is a magnificent building that houses an outstanding theatre, an art gallery, three restaurants and a tea room. The outside is very beautiful, as well as the inside, making it look like a beautiful crown engaged with jewels. No wonder this is one of the most important attractions of the city, and why people chose to go there watching a play, or celebrate a special occasion. We continued our walk, and soon we are in front of the Palladium, one of the many shopping centres in Prague. My mother and my aunt could not resist to enter in it and to check it out. Half an hour later, we were back outside. Well, I’m just here to tell you that until the end of August, you’ll probably won’t see any more updates on my many fanfics, my friends. The reason is simple. I need time to concentrate on my comic book project, and well, I’m going to use all the time I have to work on it. But don’t worry, I’ll still be posting a few things around here for you (maybe a chapter of one of my fanfics, if I ever get tired from writing about the Popular Squad) and the photos that I’ll be taking on my trip to Prague in Czech Republic on the end of this month. Wish me luck, guys. And don’t worry, I’ll bring you a few souveniers from the trip.

Yeah... You heard me. I just found out about this by who told me. I thought it was a joke at first, but then, I found out it was really true. He died! One of the greatest singers and dancers that ever lived, has passed away... It really is sad, I mean, sure he had those eccentries of his, but he was one of the persons who's work contributed to shape the music in the 80's. I'm really going to miss him, and I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who are also going to miss him. As a tribute, I'm going to play "Thriller", his greatest success ever.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson (Born August 29, 1958, Died June 25, 2009). Go in peace, my friend.

After being suspended for two weeks, I'm back! I used this time to finish up my reports and to study for my final tests in college. There's only one mor etest to go, and then, it's vacation time for me!

As for the reason why I was suspended... I don't know! I mean, I saw the notes saying that I had been suspended, but I erased them, and I did not even care about them. Maybe it was better this way, you know? Anyway, I think most of you have noticed that some of my works, especially my last colouring (The Totally Spies drawing) has been deleted because people though it was indecent... I mean, come on, there are works around here that are way more indecent than that drawing was). But let's forget about it.. I'm already wrking a new version of it, and this time, believe me whan I say that DA will not be able to delete it!

Im also going to annouce a few more things over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes opened for them, my friends. I'll be seeing ya!

Enfim, após duas semanas de suspensao estou de volta. O tempo em que fiquei suspenso acabou por se bom, pois pude concentrar-me nos meus estudos e preparar-me para os últimos testes, antes das férias. Neste momento só me falta fazer um, na próxima terça-feira, e depois, é tempo de férias!

A razão pela qual fui suspenso, nem eu sei, porque quando as notificações me chegaram eu nem sequer as abri, simplesmente apaguei-as... Mas talvez tenha sido melhor assim, pois pelo menos não fiquei mais chateado do que estava.

Como muitos de vocês provavelmente já devem ter reparado, a minha última coloração (o desenho das Totally Spies) foi apagado porque o pessoal da DA decidiu que este era indecente (não sei por que carga de água, se há por aqui trabalhos mais virados para maiores de 18 anos, e que se calhar não deviam estar aqui... Mas a culpa não é do pessoal que faz esses trabalhos, a culpa é da DA. Mas deixemo-nos disso, pois já estou a fazer uma nova versão do desenho, e acreditem que este aqui não conseguirão apagá-lo, garanto-vos isso!

Durante as próximas semanas, irei anunciar algumas coisa, portanto fiquem atentos. Vejo-vos por aí!

I think I never had so much work in my life, folks. I got tons of work to do for college, and I still have a few more works to do here. For example…

I have three works that I need to do for college, as well as studying for a test that I have on Tuesday.

I have an art-trade to do with (I’m already working on it).

I’m doing a collaboration with (She’s doing the illustrations and all, and I’m writing the story, which the first chapter will be online, as soon as I’m able to finish it, and to do it, I need to finish ever last work I have to do for college).

I’m also trying to paint another of drawings, this one is a drawing of my original characters for my comic book project, the Popular Squad, as well as working on the details of a new character for his own comic book project, the FullMoon League.

I’m also trying to complete the latest chapters of my fanfics (it’s going to take me a while to do those too…

And finally, I’m also waiting for the answer of , to start on her request.

As you can already see, if you’ve been reading this, I’ve got lots and lots of work to do. Let’s see if I am able to accomplish everything I have to do in the list.

Estou também a tentar pintar mais um desenho do , desta vez o desenho é um desenho das personagens do meu projecto de Banda-Desenhada, a Popular Squad, e também tenho de terminar de dar os retoques na descrição de mais uma personagem para o projecto de Banda-Desenhada dele, a FullMoon League.

Estou a ver também se consigo acabar mais uns capítulos dos meus fanfics.

E finalmente, estou à espera da resposta da sobre o pedido que ela me fez. Vamos lá ver o que é que ela quer que eu lhe escreva.

Como podem ver, amigos… Trabalho é coisa que não me falta. Mas como se costuma dizer, a faculdade vem primeiro como a maior de todas as prioridades. Vamos ver o que é que eu consigo fazer durante as próximas semanas. Vejo-vos por aí, amigos!

Well, for those of you who don’t know it, today it is one of my favourite portuguese holidays, the 25th of April, also known as the Carnation Revolution. It was in this day, back in 1974 that Dictatorrship was abolished in Portugal, ending a 50-year period in which there was no freedom in Portugal… All thanks to a man, who in my opinion was one of the rottenest guys in History, António Oliveira de Salazar, who decided that Portugal was better on his own, as the head of a huge empire (What empire I ask? The Portuguese Colonial Empire ended when we decided to give independence to Brazil…, then to act like the rest of the civilized world. Anyway, thank God that ended and nowadays there’s freedom for everyone in my country! Can you imagine what it would be if we could not say anything bad about the government? Frankly, I would rather die than not be able to curse about the Portuguese government!

35 years have pessaed since that day that changed History in Portugal, and I hope that what happened before that day never happens again. Long live Freedom!

Acho que apesar de 35 anos terem passado, nós portugueses ainda continuamos a celebrar este dia como deve ser, ou seja, ouvirmos as músicas da Revolução, especialmente Zeca Afonso, dizermos mal do nosso governo actual, assim como de Salazar (ainda bem que esse gajo já não está por cá… Dessa maneira posso dizer: “E pronto, que Deus lhe perdoe os seus crimes contra Portugal, que eu não tenho intenções de o fazer, e que arda para sempre, juntamente com o Hitler, o Mussolini, o Franco e o Pinochet no antro mais flamejante do Inferno!!) e de todas as porcarias que ele e o seu governo fizeram em 50 anos de ditadura, que nos meteram séculos atrás de outros países em termos de desenvolvimento tanto monetário como social. Portanto, as palavras de ordem são estas: “Viva a Liberdade! Viva a Revolução! Viva Portugal e o 25 de Abril!”

Well, I finally have it!!! Resident Evil 5, the best game ever made for PS3. I'm loving every second of it... Not only is scarier than Resident Evil 4, but it also is a lot more difficult, which is good, because I like hard games, because they are a challenge to my intelligence.

If you have nerves of steel, and a bunch of ammo yousaved from the previous games, in that case, pack your things and take the next flight to Africa, because Zombie season has begun!!!

In a scale 1 to 10, I give this game a 100!

Well, I've just finished playing the Resident Evil 5 Demo on my PS3, and from what I've seen so far, this is going to be the best Resident Evil game ever. The graphics look very good, the environment is scary but not too much, and it kinda reminds me of Resident Evil: Extinction (Also a great movie, although I still think that the Resident Evil: Apocalypse was the best of the trilogy). The controls are a bit confusing, but once you get the hang of them, its smooth sail all the way. The voice acting is very good, and furthermore, the new zombies are very hard to beat (nothing like some cool enemies that are hard to beat to make a game just magnificent, don't you guys think?)... I especially like the new mini-boss, the guy with that gant hammer from the first level. I'm very anxious to get my hands on a copy of the game in March, and believe me, I'm only going to stop playing when I finish it.

In other news, I found out that one of the comic books that I collect has been canceled in Portugal... I'm talking about W.I.T.C.H. from Disney. Fortunately, I found a way that will allow me to read the comic book, without having to worry about anything. It's going to give me a lot of trouble, but it will worth it because Will and the other are the world's most fantastic witches of all time, and they deserve it.

Looks to me that these five girls and their friends are going to stick around for many years to come. Well, that's all for today my friends. I'll be seeing ya around!

Ora bem, acabei agora de jogar o demo do Resident Evil 5 na minha PS3 e só posso dizer bem deste jogo, que penso eu, vai ser o melhor Resident Evil de sempre. Os gráficos estão bastante bons, o ambiente é assustador mas não muito (faz-me até lembrar o ambiente em que se passa o terceiro filme da trilogia Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Extinction). Os controlos são um pouco complicados de decorar, mas ao fim de algum tempo conseguimos percebê-los sem problema algum. As vozes estão muito boas, e os zombies estão bastante mais duros e mais ferozes, o que os faz mais dificéis de derrotar (nada como uns inimigos bastante dificéis de matar para aumentar a adrenalina)... Gosto especialmente do novo mini-boss, o tipo enorme com um machado que até faz impressão ao olhar para ele, no primeiro nível. Estou mesmo ansioso para meter as minhas mãos no jogo, já agora em Março, e posso dizer-vos que só vou parar de o jogar quando o tiver terminado.

Noutras notícias, a revista das W.I.T.C.H. foi cancelada em Portugal, com muita pena minha. Felizmente, encontrei uma maneira de ler esta revista, e continuar a acompanhar as aventuras das minhas bruxas preferidas!

Para quem pensava que iria deixar de ler esta revista de Banda-Desenhada, agora tenho bastantes razões para celebrar. Enfim, acho que é tudo por hoje, pessoal. Vejo-vos por aí!

Happy Endings:

Titanic - I chose this one because the movie itself is beautiful, and the ending is so mysterious and happy, when Rose kisses Jack and everyone applauds. A perfect ending for a love movie.

Spider-Man 2 - A beautiful ending. Unlike the love comedies that we see all the time, this one is quite original... Instead of Peter going after Mary Jane, is Mary Jane who goes after Peter. When he leaves her to go and fight crime, again, Mary Jane's facial expression says that she's affraid of what's going to happen in the future, but her eyes say that she has never been happier before. A lovely ending, indeed, don't you think?

Scooby-Doo (live action) - Well, I chose this one because of the theme that is explored, right after Scrappy-Doo is arrested... Friendship. Fred lets Velma do the talking, showing that Velma is also an important member of Mystery Inc. When they decide that they will solve a new mystery, right after they leave Spooky Island, is proof enough that their friendship is stronger than ever.

Mamma Mia - Of course this one had to be on this category. The ending is so beautiful... Sophie and Sky, heading towards the sea in a boat, on a full moon. Just beautiful, simple and beautiful. And then, of course there's Donna and the Dynamos singing Dancing Queen and Waterloo, which is even funnier.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - I did not know if I would put this one here, but then I decided that an ending like this one had place right here. Indiana Jones, Professor Jones, Marcus Brody and Sallah riding towards the sunset, just like a western.

The Sound of Music - It was amazing the way they all got away from the Nazis and head towards Switzerland. I always cry at this movie.

The Nightmare Before Christmas - The ending of this movie is just superb. Jack and Sally on top of the Curled Hill, kissing, while Zero heads towards the star, is simply amazing.

Volver - A crazy story with an even crazier cast, is just fabulous. Raimunda forgives her mother and they both promise each other that they will solve all problems from that point on.

Jurassic Park - It's amazing that this ending is so simple, but so complex at the same time. They get out of the island, and although the dinosaurs tried to kill them they are still fascinated by the way their descendants evolved into birds. it's a happy ending, not only because they're alive, but because they are still fascinated by those animals.

Kill Bill vol. 2 - The happiest ending of all Tarantino's movies. The Bride actually gets her revenge, and she takes her daughter with her, to live happily ever after.

Bound - Violette and Corky kissing each other, while driving away from all those troubles, with two million dollars in cash and the promess of a new life, is just amazing what two women will do to stay with each other, just because they are in love with each other.

The Mummy (1998 version) - Walking away from Hamunaptra with all those treasures that Benny stole from the treasure room, and having the love of a beautiful woman, it's just what the doctor ordered. Well, it's almost Christmas and it's good to see that the Holiday Spirit is in us all! This Christmas is not going to be one of my favourites, because I'm on a diet, and I don't get to eat any sweets or chocolates (But, I already lost 5 Kg so far, which is good). Anyway, I'm just here to tell you that I've been very busy lately and that's why you have not seen any new art on my page, but by the end of this week I'll be free from college and I'll be able to start writing again!

Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs (Well, after knowing what happened in Bender's Big Score, we have to see this one too) - Bender's going on rampage and if you think that is funny, than the rest of the filme is hilarious.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (The battle is about to begin, and Hogwarts is going to be turned into a battlefield)

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (After kicking the Nazi's and Rasputin's butt, Hellboy must save the world again, from another deathly enemy) - Guillermo has done it again! A great movie that combines the world of the comic books, with the art design of Pan's Labyrinth.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (After retrieving the Holy Grail from the Nazis, Indiana Jones goes on another adventure, full of suspense, action and romance) - The best Indina Jones ever... Soviets, motorcycles, aliens and romance are the perfect combination!

Iron Man (Tony Stark is about to take off on its first movie, and it's going to be brutal) - Ok, that was just really awesome. When I saw Nick Fury I knew that that movie was just the beggining of something really big!

Mamma Mia! (One of my favourite musicals is going into the big screen, and everyone will sing it, ABBA style of course) - A great musical comedy that really puts us all singing and dancing.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (Rick O' Connel and his family fought against Imothep, but will they be able to face another mummy?) - Another mummy is really a problem, but the guys outdone themselves by kicking their butt! Nice performance by Jet Li.

Well, it's almost Hallowe'en! Once again, I'm going to spend it with my friends, watching horror movies, eating chocolates, candy and popcorn and of course, drinking soda and hot chocolate. I admit that it's not going to be the most fun Hallowe'en ever, but most of us, like me for example, are getting ready for our test in college, so, the walk that we were planning to do this year, where we would fright people around with all kinds of tricks, well, we'll just have to do it in February, during Carnival, because we need our energies to study.

Anyway, I'm just here to tell you that this here you will probably not see one of my Hallowe'en works here, because I really need the time to do one. But, if I manage to do one, I'll post it a little after Hallowe'en (it's not a crime to do that, or is it?).

Admito, não será o melhor Dia das Bruxas de sempre, mas enfim, é o que conseguimo fazer. Nós tinhamos planos para ir pregar partidas, mas como estamos em éoca de testes na faculdade, e precisamos de energia para estudar, decidimos que faríamos essa noite de sustos em Fevereiro, durante o Carnaval, que também é bastante divertido.

Well, like I said a month ago, I'm organizing a challenge to see who can colour my drawing of the Loonatics Extreme better.

Here the rules:

you got a limited time to do it.

you can only present one colouration (Sorry guys, but if you did more than that, some people could feel that it was a little unfair).

you can use anykind of material do it. Crayons, pencils, digital programs, you name it!

And finally, do your best, and one more thing, there will not be a prize for the winner. This is just a way for us to spend time and have some fun.

Last night, I went to watch one of my favourite musicals in the cinema. That's right, I'm talking about "Mamma Mia", the musical that was based on the songs written by the ABBA. Here's my review to it... You already know that I'm going to give it a good review, but still, I think it's fair to state why. Well, first of all it's quite funny, and there are a lot of things in this movie that we've got to love, especially the scenes that were recreated by basing themselves on the theatre version. Then Pierce Brosman maybe a great actor, but he has to learn how to sing properly, if he's going to pursuit a carrier in musicals, eheheheh. Well, my review rating is this one:

Story: 10/10 (It was already perfect in the theatre, but in the cinema looks even better!)

Visual Effects: 10/10 (There are not many,but the ones we see in this movie are very good and simple.)

Cast: 10/10 (Meryl Streep did a terrific Donna, Amanda Seyfried did a spectacular Sophie, Pierce Brosman did a wonderful Sam Carmicheal... Well, everyone did a great job. I could not have chosen better the cast.)

Development of the characters: 8/10 (Really good, too bad they did not explore more the relation between Tania and Skye's best-man, Frank. They really had a great relationship.)

Music: 10/10 (Composed by the ABBA, it had to be perfect!)

Ending: 10/10 (The perfect ending, especially when Sophie and Skye decide to got to see the world.)

The movie was awesome, the ending was sensational. The humuor is, well, "it's quite greek" like Rosie would say, and we end up singing all the musics in the movie.

I give this movie two thumbs up!

Plus, my favourite scene is when Donna, Rosie and Tanya appear, dressed to perform as Donna and the Dynamos, and start singing "Super Trooper". Another great scene was when, Donna imagines herself if she was rich.

Ontem fui ao cinema ver um dos meus musicais preferidos, que passou para filme. Estou sim a falar de "Mamma Mia", o musical que foi baseado nas músicas dos ABBA, e agora vou dar-vos a minha crítica sobre o filme. Vocês de certeza que já sabem que eu vou dar uma excelente crítica ao filme, mas acho que devem saber porquê. Bem, primeiro que tudo, é engraçado e cómico. Porém, deixem-me dizer-vos que se o Pierce Brosman quiser ter uma carreira nos musicais, vai ter de começar a aparender a cantar como deve ser (Estou a ser um pouco mauzinho, mas a voz dele não é a melhor para um actor musical, admita-se). A pontuação que eu dou ao filme é esta:

História: 10/10 (Já era boa no teatro, mas no cinema ficou ainda melhor!)

Efeitos Especiais: 10/10 (Não tem muitos, mas os que tem são simples mas muito bem conseguidos.)

Elenco: 10/10 (A Meryl Streep fez uma excelente Donna, a Amanda Seyfriend fez uma Sophie fenomenal, o Pierce Brosman fez um espectacular Sam Carmicheal... No geral, estiveram todos muito bem.)

Desenvolvimento das personagens: 8/10 (Tive pena de eles não terem desenvolvido um pouco mais a relação do padrinho de casamaneto do Skye, o Frank com a Tanya. Eles os dois tinham uma relação tão engraçada.)

Música: 10/10 (Escrita pelos ABBA, tinha de ser perfeita!)

Final: 10/10 (O final perfeito. A despedida de Sophie e de Skye para irem conhecer o mundo é tão comovente.)

O filme foi sensacional, assim como o final do mesmo. está engraçado. Melhor não poderia ter sido feito.

A minha cena preferida neste filme, é quando a Donna, a Rosie e a Tanya aparecem vestidas como a Donna e as Dynamos e começam a cantar "Super Trooper". Outra cena engraçada é quando a Donna se imagina milionária.

Last night I went to Crato to see one of the best concerts that I've ever had the pleasure of watching... Roger Hodgson, Mr. Supertramp, if you prefer. After all thse years, and he still has the same voice he had when the Supertramp were still together. And you know that he speaks Portuguese quite fluentely? That's right, he does, and although he commits a few grammar errors, he's still learning, so we decided to forgive him. Playing the guitars and the keyboards, he rocked the house last night! An amazing performance, which I hope to see once again, when he comes back to Portugal (He told us that he has plans to come back for another concert, really soon).

Well, I finally decided that is time to start my comic book, "The Popular Squad". Along with my super team of geniuses, meaningly and are ready to start writing, drawing and painting the first drawings of the comic book, and getting ready to do the real thing, when the time comes.

But don't you worry because I intend to continue writing other things and doing other projects too, in case you're wondering if I'm going to give up on those.

One more thing, I'm going to start my challenge to see who's going to colour the drawing of the Loonatics that and me did. There's not going to be a prize and the challenge is just to see if we can have a good time. My version is already done, and I'll be waiting to see who's going to enter in it. In the end, we will let people choose which is the best colouration. The unfinished drawing is in my Scraps, so you can go there to download it. Finally, you have to finish it until August 31.

Bem, finalmente decidi que é tempo de começar a minha banda-desenhada, "The Popular Squad" (ou A Turma Popular, em português). Juntamente com a minha equipa de super-génios, ou seja o e a estamos prontos a começar a escrever, desenhar e colorir os primeiros desenhos e a preparar-nos para o desafio a sério, quando o momento chegar.

Mas não se preocupem porque eu pretento continuar a escrever outras coisas e fazer outros projectos, só para o caso de pensarem que eu não pretendo fazer outras coisas.

Mais uma coisa, decidi que vou começar o desafio dos Loonatics Extreme, para ver quem é que consegue pintar a melhor versão do desenho que o e eu fizémos. Não haverá prémios, e é só uma maneira de nos divertirmos um pouco. Mais tarde iremos deixar as pessoas decidirem qual é que é a melhor versão. I'm going to spend my vacation in Algarve this year, along with a few friends. I'll leave on Sunday, but don't you worry because I plan to stay online during the whole time (now that my brother got wireless Internet, can access it wherever I am, you know?)... Plus, I'm also planning to go to Zaragoza in August, to check out the World Fair, EXPO 2008, because I'm curious to see if it's in any way better than the EXPO 1998 that took place, right here in Lisbon ten years ago.

As for updates, I got a few things that I'm going to post here during this week, as well as for the rest of the month, and one more thing... I'm still looking for a colourist, who can help me an a friend of mine in our comic book, so if you know anyone who's good colouring things, just let me know...or if it's you, send me a note, ok?

I've just came from the party, in which I celebrated the victoryy of Portugal in their first match of the Euro 2008. A beautiful party for a beautiful game... The players in it played very well, and I think that if it was not for a little of bad luck, we would have scored a few more goals against Turkey. Tinker Bell (Everyone's favourite fairy is going on a wild adventure, solo, for the first time on her life)

Get Smart (Maxwell Smart aka. Agent 86 and Agent 99 are back in action, to save the world from KAOS)

The Incredible Hulk (Let's see if this one is better than the first one, because Ang Lee's movie about Hulk sucks!)

Punisher: War Zone (Frank Castle is back, so prepare for another movie filled with bullets and fire, raining from the sky!)

I've just watched the fourth, and last Indiana Jones and I'm here to give you all my review of it. I admit that Spielberg once again, was able to surprise us with this movie, because it's funny it has fresh humour, and there are a lot of things in this movie that we've got to love, especially the usual hot pursuit scene... We already saw great pursuits in the other movies, but this one is just amazing. I'm not going to reveal to you all the details, but let me just tell you that if you liked the previous ones, then, you will love this one too. My review rating is this one:

Story: 10/10 (Amazing, simply amazing)

Visual Effects: 10/10 (Well, we are already used to see special effects like these, but they look extremely well in this movie)

Cast: 9/10 (Too bad Sean Connery did not appear in the movie as Professor Henry Jones Sr. but it's okay)

Development of the characters: 8/10 (Really good, loved the way how the characters relations were done)

Music: 8/10 (What did you expected? It was done by John Williams)

Ending: 10/10 (The perfect ending for the tetralogy)

The movie was awesome, the ending was sensational. The humuor is fresh, and we end up seeing more than we ask for.
I give this movie two thumbs up!

Plus, my favourite scene is when they accidently found the Arc of the Alliance, from the first movie.

Acabei de chegar do cinema, onde fui ver o quarto e último Indiana Jones, e estou aqui para vos dar a minha crítica sobre o filme. Admito-o, o Spielberg conseguiu mais uma vez surpreender-nos com este magnífico filme. O humor é muito bom e exitem mil e uma coisas neste filme que vão adorar, se também adoraram os restantes três filmes... Em especial, a cena de perseguição a alta velocidade, que apesar de ser semelhante à que vimos no filme, Indiana Jones e A Grande Cruzada, tem muita coisa que fazem-na a melhor de sempre. A pontuação que eu dou ao filme é esta:

História: 10/10 (Fantástica, simplesmente fantástica)

Efeitos Especiais: 9/10 (É verdade que já estamos habituados a ver efeitos deste tipo, mas estes ficam mesmo bem neste filme)

Elenco: 9/10 (É uma pena que o Sean Connery não tenha aparecido como Professor Henry Jones Sr., mas enfim o elenco aguenta-se muito bem apesar disso)

Desenvolvimento das personagens: 8/10 (Muito bom, gostei de interacção entre os personagens)

Música: 8/10 (O que é vocês esperavam? Foi escrita pelo John Williams)

Final: 10/10 (O final perfeito para a tetralogia!)

O filme foi sensacional, assim como o final do mesmo. está engraçado e acabamos por receber mais do que aquilo que pedimos neste filme. Melhor não poderia ter sido feito.

A minha cena preferida neste filme, é quando eles por acidente descobrem a Arca da Aliança, que figurou no primeiro filme.

Well, it's official, it's been a few months since I updated my journal, but there's been nothing exciting in my life recently... Anyway, the reason why I'm here, it's to give you my review on the latest movie I saw: Iron Man. I have to admit that at first I thought that the movie was not going to be a great movie, but in the end, it surprised me in every aspect. So here's my review:

Story: 8/10
Visual Effects: 9/10
Cast: 7/10
Development of the characters: 8/10
Music: 8/10
Ending: 10/10

OK, the movie was awesome, especially the fighting scenes between Iron Man and the Iron Monk. I give this movie two thumbs up! By theway, since the summer is almost arriving, I'll be posting the reviews of my favourite movies around here.

Before I leave you, let me just tell you that I finished the fisrt fanfic of my Loonatics Unleashed team, which I called Loonatics Extreme. The sequel is already being written and you can bet that it's going to be awesome. Oh, I almost forgot, I'll receive my copy of GTA IV on Monday, so I'll be playing it for a few weeks.

Well, time sure flies when we're doing something that we like, and to prove that, here I am, enjoying myself while writing this journal, to celebrate my second here on DeviantArt... With almost 13000 pageviews, and so many friends and supporters that give me a reason to continue with my works is amazing. I want to thank you all for the support that you've been giving me over these last two years. Plus, I hope that we all stay around here for at least another 10 years, because I like it here...

This year, I have a few goals I want to reach, and even surpass them:

I want to finish all my stories, or at least try it.

I want to start my own comic book of the "Popular Squad", with my friend, João Gomes, who soon will have his own page here in DA.

And finally, I want to try beating my record of pageviews (i want to reach 20000 until next February.

Bem, como alguns de vocês já terão reparado, eu já estou de volta das minhas pequenas ferias em Inglaterra, para ser mais preciso, em Londres… Eu sei que vos prometi um relatório completo sobre o que aconteceu por lá, mas eu tenho andado com tantos trabalhos por parte da faculdade (felizmente já terminaram, graças a Deus!) e não pude escrever nada. Mas como a minha mãe costuma dizer, mais vale tarde do que nunca. Mas, antes de começar isto, eu tenho de admitir que já não é a primeira vez que vou a Londres, mas é sem dúvida a primeira vez que me porto como um verdadeiro turista, e fui ver coisas que queria ver sempre que lá vou, mas nunca tenho tempo nenhum para fazer isso…


Dia 1:

O nosso avião descolou às 10 da manhã, como previsto, e foi uma viagem bastante calma e bastante suave, sem nenhum tipo de problemas, no que diz respeito a turbulência. Aterrámos no aeroporto internacional de Lutton ao meio-dia, e apressámo-nos a fazer o check-in, e a recolher as nossas bagagens, porque queríamos ainda ir ver algumas coisas antes do jantar. Para apanhar um táxi suficientemente grande para oito pessoas foi bastante difícil, pois só havia táxis para quatro pessoas. Mas, finalmente encontrámos um, por um preço bastante razoável. Chegámos ao hotel uma hora depois, pois o trânsito naquela cidade é sempre de doidos. Ficámos alojados no Royal International Hotel, um dos melhores hotéis de Londres (nós queríamos ficar no Hotel Russell, que ficava do outro lado da rua, mas eles estavam cheios nessa semana, e mesmo que quisessem alojar-nos não podiam). Enfim, fizemos o check-in e depois de metermos tudo nos quartos, saímos e fomos ver logo a primeira coisa que estava na nossa lista de atracções, o Museu Britânico, que ficava a cem metros do nosso hotel, e fiquei deveras bastante surpreendido quando vejo que o museu é livre, e não tínhamos de pagar nada para entrar. Uma vez lá dentro, quase que me passei ao ver a ala de Egiptologia do museu, ao ficar rodeado de todo o tipo de artefactos egícios. Desde esculturas a múmias, de amuletos sagrados à fantástica e colossal Pedra da Roseta, eu estava no céu… Depois de ter visto maior parte do museu, fomos lá para fora e fomos ver Tottenham Court, a qual é uma enorme praça que está sempre cheia de gente seja lá qual for a hora do dia. Depois disso, decidmos ver até onde os nossos pés no levavam e fomos até ao Soho e Covent Garden, onde existem os maravilhosos teatros do West End, para ver quais os musicais que estavam desta vez em exibição. Aqueles que estavam em exibição eram o Rei Leão, o Fantasma da Óera, Sweeney Todd, Música no Coração, Wicked, Grease, entre tantos outros. Decidi comprar um bilhete para ir ver o Fantasma da Opera naquela noite. Foi um espectáculo assombrosamente deslumbrante… eu ainda só tinha visto a versão de cinema (aquela realizada por Joel Schumacher e por Andrew Lloyd Webber) e fiquei bastante impressionado com tudo aquilo, pois os actores não me decepcionaram em nenhuma maneira. Só fiquei triste e aborrecido, quando vi que a tournée europeia do CATS não estava em Londres, naquela semana (eles estavam em Amesterdão na altura), porque estava com esperança de os rever mais uma vez em Londres, antes de eles regressarem a Lisboa lá para o final deste ano. Mas enfim, gostei do espectáculo, e uma vez que terminou, fomos jantar. Encontrámos um restaurante em Tottenham Court, que a especialidade era Fish ‘n’ Chips, ou seja peixe frito e batatas fritas, um dos meus pratos preferidos. Depois do jantar, fomos às compras num pequeno supermercado que havia perto do hotel, para termos comida amanhã para o almoço (eu e a minha família não costumamos almoçar quando vamos de férias, só jantamos. Para o almoço, comemos sanduíches), onde tratámos de comprar uma data de bebidas, algumas delas que já nem existem em Portugal, como a Coca-Cola e a 7Up com sabor a cereja, a Orangina, Dr. Pepper, Fanta de groselha, entre outras. Depois disso, fomos para o hotel.

Dia 2:

Na manhã seguinte, depois de termos levantado e tomado o pequeno-almoço, fizemo-nos à estrada, e fomos até à Estação de Autocarros de Euston, para apanharmos um autocarro e irmos ver as vistas, e as atracções. A primeira paragem foi o Palácio de Buckigham. Eu nunca tinha estado neste lado da cidade, portanto foi bastante interessante ver que o sítio estava a pulsar de energia por todo o lado. Chegámos mesmo a tempo para ver a cerimónia do render da Guarda da Rainha. Well, as a few of you have noticed, I’m already back from my small vacations in England, to be more precise, London… I know I promised you that I would give you a complete update of what happened there, but I had so much trouble lately in college (thank God is already over), and I could not write it down, like I wanted to. But, better late than never, that’s what my mother says, so here it is. But before I start this, I must admit that this is not the first time I go to London, but it’s certainly the first time that I act like a real tourist, and went to see a lot of things that I always want to see when I go to London, but never had the time to do it…


Day 1:

Our plane took off at 10 pm. like it was scheduled, and it was quite a smooth trip this one. We landed in Lutton’s International Airport at 12 pm. and hurried to make our check in, and get our luggage, for we wanted to see a few places in London, before dinner. To get a taxi it was quite difficult, because we were 8, and the taxi could only take 4 people. Finally, we found one that could take us all for a reasonable price. We arrived at the hotel one hour later. We stayed in the Royal National Hotel, one of the best hotels in London (we wanted to stay in the Hotel Russell, which was on the other side of the street, but they were all full, and even if they wanted to accommodate us, they could not). Anyway, we checked in, and after putting all our bags in the rooms, we decided to visit the British Museum, which was only a few yards away. I was a little bit surprised when I entered in it, because it was a free entrance attraction (most of the museums in Portugal, we have to pay to enter in them). Once inside, I almost freaked out when I entered in the Egyptian Wing of the museum, because I was surrounded by all kinds of Egyptian artefacts. From sculptures, to mummies, from sacred amulets, to the amazing and priceless Rosetta Stone, I was in heaven… After seeing most of the museum, we went outside, and went to check out Tottenham Court. It’s really an enormous court, and it’s always busy, whatever the time may be. After that, we decided to go where our feet would take us, and we went to see the Soho and Convent Garden, along with all the amazing theatres that existed in the West End. I went to check out the theatres where they were exhibiting the Lion King the Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, the Sound of Music, Wicked, Grease, among others. I even bought a ticket to see the Phantom of the Opera, in that night. It was a colossal show… I only saw the movie version of the Phantom (the one directed by Joel Schumacher and Andrew Lloyd Webber), and was really impressed with what I saw. The actors were great, and nothing disappointed me. Although I was kind of sad, when I realized that the European tour of CATS was not in London that week (they were in Amsterdam by the time), because I was hoping to see them once more in London, before they return to Portugal, by the end of this year. But anyway, I enjoyed the show, and once it was over, we went to dinner. We found out a nice little restaurant near Tottenham Court, which specialty was Fish ‘n Chips. We had a nice dinner, us and our friends. After that, we went shopping in a local supermarket, so we would have food to prepare our lunch (me and my family usually don’t have lunch while we are on vacation, only dinner), and we went back to the hotel.

Day 2:

Next morning, after getting up, and having our breakfast, we decided to go to Euston Bus Terminal, to get a bus, so we would have a way to go see the main attractions. First stop, Buckingham Palace. I have never been in this side of the town, so it was quite amazing to see that the entire place was vibrating with energy. We got there just in time to see the change of the Queen’s Guard. It’s an interesting ceremony because there are four platoons that walk through the Queen’s Gardens into the Mall, for almost an hour. Once it was over, I decided to take a few photos of the Palace, and guess who I saw? You got it, Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of United Kingdom himself, probably on its way to have lunch with the Queen. But, going on, we went through the Mall, until we ended up in Trafalgar Square (we had been there last night already), and we were amazed to see that some things that we were going to see, where right next to each others, and felt a bit stupids, for not seeing it earlier. After that, we went into the Strand, to check out the Savoy Hotel, the Somerset House, and finally St. Mary Le Strand’s Church. We walked so much, that we were starting to get a little bit tired, so we decided to take the bus, and go to Greenwich, to see the Old Royal Observatory and to put one foot in the west hemisphere, and the other in the east hemisphere. The voyage took almost 45 minutes, but it was a very nice bus trip, because we could sleep a little bit. Well, it’s been a while since I post something here in my journal, but I have a good reason do it… I had a lot of work in college, and I had to keep my head busy with it, and I haven’t finished everything, because I still have three tests to do, and a written work for a subject… but I know that when I’m finished, I will be able to relax and put my head on what I really like to do, which is writing and painting, in fact I already have a few drawings to paint, from some friends of ours right here on DA. But, I also have good news… I’m going to London for a week, and I’ll be departing on Saturday morning, to arrive there at midday, so you can expect a fully summarized journal about it when I get back, along with a lot of photos. And, I haven’t finished my good news, I finally found a colleague of mine who’s going to help me creating my own comic books… I’m going to start with the Popular Squad, and then with As Miudas Gato, or Catgirls if you prefer. In the next few months, you’ll see the first model sheets of the characters, drawn by my friend, and coloured by me…
Anyway, I’ll be back on Wednesday, so until the, behave well and don’t do anything super cool, while I’m not around, my friends. See ya!

Bem, já lá vai algum tempo desde que decide escrever aqui no journal, mas eu tive uma boa razão para não fazer… Tive imenso trabalho na faculdade para fazer, e ainda não terminei, pois ainda tenho mais três teses para fazer, e um trabalho escrito para terminar… Mas sei que quando terminar tudo, poderei relaxar e dedicar-me àquilo que melhor sei fazer, que é escrever e pintar. Aliás, já tenho alguns trabalhos para pintar que alguns dos nossos colegas aqui na DA me autorizaram a colorir. Mas também tenho boas notícias… paro amanhã de madrugada para Londres, em Inglaterra, para uma estadia de uma semana. Chego lá ao meio-dia, portanto o próximo journal que escrever será um relatório detalhado do que acontecerá lá, e como tal, podem esperar uma data de fotografias. E, ainda não terminei as boas notícias, finalmente arranjei uma pessoa que me vai ajudar a criar a minha propria banda-desenhada… vou começar com a Popular Squad, e mais tarde, com as Miúdas Gato, que alguns de vocês já conhecem a história. Nos próximos meses, vocês verão por aqui os primeiros desenhos modelos das persongens, desenhados pelo meu colega, e coloridos por mim…

Resident Evil: Extinction (Milla Jovovich is Alice, and she's hungry for zombies) - This is probably the last film of the series, but it's also the best!!! Alice and the others rock!

Spider-Man 3 (The Dark side of the Force is going to affect Tobey Maguire as Spidey) - Already saw it, and it rocks for Hell Sake's!!

American McGee's Alice (Buffy the Vampire Slayer aka. Sarah Michelle Gellar is Alice, and the Queen Hearth's better be prepared, because she's mean to the bone)

Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer (The FF's are about to face Gallactus and the Silver Surfer... are they going to save the Earth or not?) - Saved the Earth and had a lot of laughs with this one! Great movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (With captain Barbossa on their side, will Elizabeth, Will and the rest of the crew of the Black Pearl be enough to save Jack Saprrow and defeat Davy Jones, who's at service of Lord Beckett and his plans for the East India Trading Company?) - Seen it and form the three movies, this is the best... Sparrow is funnier than ever.

National Treasure: The Book of Secrets (Will Nicholas Cage be able to solve another mystery that involves the History of the United States of America?) - A new treasure, and a different mystery, maskes this movie one of the best ever. Nicholas Cage rocks in this one!

The Simpsons Movie (The craziest family in the world gets their own movie... will Homer be able to be less stupid than the usual in this movie?) - Stupid and stupid, Homer is definately the most stupid guy in this planet! The film is really awesome, so don't miss it!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Shredder was defeated, but a bigger evil is on the loose in New York City... It's up to Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michalengelo to stop it) - A new enemy, old tricks, but its still a great group of super-heroes! Cowabonga!!

I went to a car convention in Évora, with my father, and it looked like we were going to have a really good time there, but in the end, we were deceived, because people lied to us. But let me explain everything... Our car was supposed to enter in a race, along with the other cars, but the judges decided that we wouldn't race, because in their minds, our car had been changed in its structure, and as you can imagine, the car had all the opriginal parts, and its structure was never changed. Then, after almost an hour of yelling with them, they finally decided that they would let us race, but we told them to go to Hell, because we didn't need any favours, don't you agree? Besides, we were extremely mad, for they had called us liars... Then, we went to see a Tango show in the bullfight arena of Évora, but it was also a ripoff, because they were the worst dancers that I had ever seen in my life.
The only good things about this convention, was because I photographed some cool cars, and the food was also quite good.

Fui a uma convenção de carros antigos a Évora com o meu pai, no fim-de-semana passado, e parecia mesmo que nos íamos divertir com aquilo tudo, mas no final de contas, mentiram-nos e tentaram enganar-nos. Mas deixem-me contar tudo a partir do princíio... O nosso carro era suposto entrar numa corrida à volta das muralhas da cidade de Évora, mas o júri meteu na cabeça que o nosso carro tinha sido alterado na sua estrutura, e como tal estava ilegal. Um deles até ameaçou chamar a polícia para rebocar o carro, quando o carro nunca foi alterado na sua estrutura, a única coisa que foi alterada foram uns faróis que não lhe pertencem, mas que mesmo assim foram aprovados pela a Inspecção de Viaturas. Depois de quase uma hora a gritar e a chamar todos os nomes a eles (inclusive, eu disse que se eles tentassem sequer rebocar o carro, eu atropelava-os), eles decidiram que estava tudo bem e deixaram-nos correr, mas aí, eu e o meu pai dissemos-lhes que fossem pró raio que os partissem, porque favores desses, ninguém precisa deles, não acham? Além de que chamar-nos mentirosos já era suficiente para os metermos em tribunal. Depois disso tudo, fomos ver um espectáculo de Tango, que foi uma porcaria, pois os dançarinos dançavam extremamente mal. A única coisa que se aproveitou de tudo aquilo, foi o facto que a comida era mesmo muito boa, e tive a oportunidade de fotografar uns carros mesmo fixes.

Well, it's almost arriving, my favourite holiday season in the entire year... Hallowe'en. Danny Elfman's music "This is Hallowe'en, This is Hallowe'en!" from Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is singing on my head, and I can't help it! Anyway, although this holiday season is not celebrated here in Portugal, I usually celebrate it with my brother and with my closest friends, on a night that we just eat candy, popcorn and watch horror movies, and this year is not going to be different. Unfortunately, my friend Lili is going to have her baby soon, and she'll probably not join the group, but it's inevitable, and of course, we forgive her for that, and next year she'll be the one to pay the rental of the movies...
Before I leave, I want your opinion about what project I should do this here to honour the festivities... I got three projects:

Ultimate Ghostbusters (my version of the original movie, but with elements of the original, and a few characters of my own).

A one-shot story between Jack and Sally, from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

A new story of the Popular Squad, where they face Baron Heinrich Von Nightmare, in which he plans to take over Populartroplois with his Neo-Nazi troops and with an ancient demon.

You decide it... Just rememeber that all three projects are going to be awesome, and you're the ones what I'm going to do. Have a very frightning Hallowe'en, whatever you are, hahahahahaha!!!

Bem, está quase a chegar a minha altura preferida no ano, o Dia das Bruxas. Francamente, a música do Danny Elfman "This is Hallowe'en, This is Hallowe'en!" do filme "The Nightmare Before Christmas" está a tocar na minha cabeça, e não consigo deixar de pensar nela. Enfim, apesar desta festa não ser comemorada aqui em Portugal, eu, o meu irmão e os meus amigos mais chegados celebramo-la, com uma noite onde passamos a noite inteira comer pipocas, chocolates e a ver filmes de terror, e este não vai ser diferente. Infelizmente, a minha amiga Lili está quase a ter o bebé, e não vai poder estar presente, porque isso é imperdoável no nosso grupo, mas a gente perdoa porque estamos felizes por ela, e porque no próximo ano é ela que paga o aluguer dos filmes... Somos mesmo maus, não somos?
Mas antes de vos deixar, para comemorar esta data, quero a vossa opinião sobre que projecto é que eu devo fazer para celebrar esta data... Tenho três projectos:

Ultimate Ghostbusters (a minha versão do filme original, com elementos do original, e com algumas personagens da minha autoria).

Um pequeno conto romântico sobre o Jack e a Sally do filme "Nightmare Before Christmas".

Well, it's official... I finally reached the 10000 pageviews that I was hoping to achieve until the end of this month. You know, I don't know if I'm lucky to have such good friends like you guys, who support me and my writing and other works because over here, most writers don't have this kind of success in just a year and a half. Anyway, it feels great to achieve a thing like this, and all thanks to you, guys... I hope that in about another year and a half I'll be here to see the 20000 pageviews, along with you all. Thanks for everything and mostly, for the support.
In another news, I'm going back to university tomorrow, and well, although I feel terrible because I'll have to go back to work again, I'm also happy about it, because I'm already tired of doing nothing besides sitting in front of the TV or reading... Well, today it’s a very special day for me… it’s my birthday!!! Yeah, 20 years, I’m really getting old, aren’t I? The thing is, I don’t feel older, which I think is a good thing, since it means that I have a young spirit. Anyway, I’m not going to bore you with the details, so let me skip a few things and tell you one more thing, before I go to the party… I’m going to be uncle! Well, not really “uncle”, because I only have a brother and he’s a little bit younger than I am, but let me explain everything… My friend Lili is going to have a baby in four months and since me and my brother, not to mention the rest of our group are like brothers to her and to her sister Andreia, we’re going to be uncles of her baby… We still don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl, but we’re still quite happy for her…

Day 1:

Since my father didn’t want us to loose half a day on the trip, because if we did it we would only arrive in Barcelona at dinner time, we did one of those crazy things that only my family does, we drove all night, from 19 pm to 7 am, until we reached Barcelona at sunrise (it was twelve hours, just driving, although we stopped a few times to go to the bathroom or to get some gas), because my father is a great driver and likes to drive at night. When we arrived, the first thing we did was to find a spot to park our car, and it wasn’t that difficult, although it cost us 50 euros to put it in a parking lot, since in Barcelona nobody parks their cars on the street, with the exception of the people who live there. After we were installed, we decided to see some of the city’s attractions, like “La Pedrera” (a house built by Antonio Gaudi, which was only five minutes away from our apartment), the “Batilló House”, the Plaza de la Catalunya, and “La Rambla”, which was an avenue were you could buy anything.
After lunch, we decided to rest little bit, and then we decided to see the most famous work of Gaudi, the ”Sagrada Família”, the only cathedral in the world that is still under construction… I could stay here talking about it, and describing it for almost a week, and still, I wouldn’t be able to describe it fully the way it is. The inside is under construction, but you can already see how it is going to be once is finished. The outside is also very cool, and you can distinguish which are the parts built by Gaudi when he was still alive, and the ones that were built after his death… And that, takes us on one problem with the cathedral itself. The government of Spain doesn’t finance the construction, and that’s why the cathedral and its construction is dependant on the support of tourists and other people who decide to make small donations, so that way the construction can continue (The entrance is ten euros, and half of the profits go to the construction, and according to the ones that are responsible for the construction, the cathedral will be ready in 2044 or 2045, if everything goes as planned). Some people say that it’s not easy to built a building like that one, but in fact is quite easy, since Gaudi planned every detail of the construction of cathedral, from top to bottom, even knowing that we would not live enough to see it finished, so the architects just have to follow the plans, like if they were building a puzzle… Seeing it was quite cool, but let me tell you that it wasn’t just the “Sagrada Família” that we saw that day in that part of the city. We also saw the “Aghbar Tower”, which is quite beautiful at night when it’s enlightened with different colours.

Day 2:

We waked up early, and decided to take on of those touristic buses that gave us sightseeing of the entire city, or at least of the most important places. There were three lines, the red one, the blue one and the green one… We decided to take the blue one first, and then the red one (we didn’t take the green one, since it was a line that would only show us the beaches of Barcelona). The blue one took us to see the place where the Olympic Games of 1992 took place, as well as the World Fair, which was responsible for the major reconstruction of Barcelona, the “Gothic Neighbourhood”, the docks and “Montijuic”, the sacred mountain of Barcelona, which the name means “Jewish Mountain”, where the “Musuem of Art of Catalunya” is, amon other things. The red one, on the other hand, took us to see once again the “Sagrada Família”, this time just the outside, the Park Guell, where you can see once more some works of Gaudi, like the famous “Multicoloured Dragon”, benches and other sculptures of his, the F. C. Barcelona stadium “Camp Nou”, the second largest football stadium in the world, and the Royal Palace of Catalunya that is located in the ancient Guell property. After all that, me and my brother decided to visit one of the two comic book stores that exist in the city, “Continuara Comics” that is located in “Via Laietana 29”. This store has everything and its one of the biggest comic book stores in this part of Europe, and you can find almost everything in there. I bought a few comics, and a new poster, the one I will photograph and post here the photo of it, so you can see it also. When we were already on our way, back to the apartment, it started to rain, and we got all wet. Well, yesterday I went to Lisbon to see one more musical in Tearto Politeama (check my gallery for a photo of the same, in the collection of the "Miúdas Gato Lison Tour"), to see the latest musical of Filipe LaFéria, who's a bloody genius. Although my favourite compositor and theatre director is Andrew Llyod Webber (CATS, The Phantom of the Opera, and of course, Jesus Christ Superstar, among many others), La Féria is one cool director too. This time, the musical "Música no Coração" which is the adpatation of the movie "The Sound of Music". I was really beautiful, and I loved the entire cast, because some of the actors already entered in his adaptation of "My Fair Lady". Everything was just dazzling, and believe me when I say that I'm going back to that theatre to see it once again, even if I buy the DVD.

In other news, I'm going to Barcelona for a week on Monday, and you won't be hearing anything from me, for one week. But don't worry, I plan to take a lot of pictures, and I everything goes according to plan, I'm going to post here a diary of the trip, along with the most beautiful photographs of the city of Barcelona. It's really going to be one heck of a trip, because I'm already planning this for almost a year, you know?

One more thing, when I get back, I will also hve new chapters of all my fanfics to post here, so you can read them.

Bem, ontem à noite fui ver mais um musical do Filipe La Féria, no Teatro Politeama, o "Música no Coração", que tal como vocês sabem é a adaptação do filme com o mesmo nome. Tenho de admitir que o Llyod Webber ainda é o meu realizador teatral preferido, mas o La Féria não lhe fica em nada atrás. Tenho de admitir que o musical estava muito bem realizado, e o elenco estava de mais! A Anabela voltou a encantar o público, o Carlos Quintas estava muito bem como capitão Von Trap, e o elenco mais jovem não lhes ficava nada atrás. Admito que é um pouco estranho ver algum pessoal do elenco do "My Fair Lady" neste musical, mas enfim, isso são só coisas minhas... Sem dúvida que voltarei ao teatro para ver o musical mais uma vez, mesmo que já tenha comprado o DVD.

Entretanto, venho vos comunicar que segunda-feira partirei para Barcelona, onde ficarei uma semana. Isso significa que não terão notícias minhas durante uma semana inteira, mas não se preocupem, eu vou tirar imensas fotos e tenho planos de meter aqui um diário da viagem com as melhores fotografias que conseguir tirar. Vai ser fixe sair finalmente daqui do Barreiro, pois estou a planear esta viagem há quase um ano inteiro, e apesar de estar tão perto de Lisboa, isto começa a cansar estar sempre a ver a mesma cidade...

Por fim, aviso-vos desde já que quando regressar terei novos capítulosde todos os fanfics, só para vocês, e uma ou duas surpresas para alguns amigos meus, que não irei revelar o nome, poi assim deixava de ser surpresa.

I just came back from an International Car Fair, in Madrid, where i've seen the latest models in what comes to cars and accesories. Plus, I took some great photos of the cars that were there, and I plan to post here some of those photos.

Now for the main reason why I'm writing this journal. A lot of people asked me to do a resume of the story of "Sonic Velocity: Most Wanted" and of what happened so far, because they can't understand clearly what's the main story, and I'm here to do it... The story is about Sonic the hadgehog, who arrives in South View City, that's where the story takes place, and has only a thing in mind, to become the street racing champion of that city. Unfortunately, Dr. Eggman, who's the champion of that city, sets a trap for him, he loses his car to Eggman and he's catched by G.U.N., who's the police in that city, and it's controlled by a badass mean mother-f*****, called Sargeant Cross, because street racing is illegal in South View city, and he and his special force called SRKF's (which stands for "Stree Racing Killer Force"), love to chase street racers and to destroy their vehicles. Sonic escapes, thanks to the help of the N2O Hurricanes (which are composed by Tails, Knuckles and most of Sonic's gang in the "real life"), and is know trying to get his car back, and also has the mission of destroying Eggman's street racing empire. To do so he has to beat 14 racers, until he reaches Eggman, and are all included in the "Robot List". Those guys are the most wanted in that town, and most of them work for Eggman. Dr. Eggman's is the most wanted racer in that town, and doesn't play with his title of champion. Sonic already is the #15 in the Robot List, after he defeated the Babylon Rogues, and is know on his way to beat #14, Chaos 0.

Voltei de uma feira internacional de carros, em Madrid, onde vi os modelos mais recentes no que toca aos carros e aos acessorios. Pelo caminho, tirei algumas fotos dos carros mais fixes que estavam la e planeio afixar aqui algumas dessas fotos.

Agora, a razao principal porque decidi escrever este jornal. Muitos leitores pediram-me que eu escrevesse um resumo da historia "Sonic Velocity: Most Wanted" do que aconteceu ate agora, porque nao compreenderam claramente qual a historia principal: A historia é sobre Sonic the hadgehog, que chega a cidade de South View City, o lugar onde a historia acontece, e tem apenas uma coisa na mente, tornar-se no campeao de Street Racing dessa cidade. Infelizmente, o Dr. Eggman, que e o campeao dessa cidade, prepara-lhe uma armadilha, onde ele perde o carro a favor do Eggman e ele e apanhado pela G.U.N., que actua como a policia naquela cidade, e que e controlada por um maldito filho da mae, chamado Sargeant Cross, porque o Sreet Racing e ilegal naquela cidade, e as suas forças especiais chamadas SRKF (que significam Street Racing Killer Force"), adoram perseguir os racers, prende-los e destruir os seus carros. O Sonic conseguir escapar das garras desses tipos, com a ajuda dos "N2O Hurricanes" (que se compostos pelo Tails, o Knuckles e pela maioria do grupo do Sonic na vida real) e vai iniciar uma luta para recuperar o seu carro, e mas tambem para tentar destruir o imperio de Street Racing de Eggman. Para o conseguir, ele tem de derrotar 14 racers, antes de conseguir alcançar o Eggman, e todos eles estao na "Robot List". Aqueles tipos sao os racers mais procurados naquela cidade, e a maioria deles trabalha para o Eggman. O Dr. Eggman que e nem mais, nem menos que o racer mais procurado daquela cidade, e nao brinca com o seu titulo de campeao. O Sonic ja é o #15 na Robot List, depois de derrotar os Babylon Rogues, e agora prepara-se para dar cabo do #14, o Chaos 0.

Lots of special effects, a good story, three wonderful villains, romance and the proof that friendship is really a powerful force. In my scale, this is the score that I give to the film:

Story: 9.5/10
Visual Effects: 10/10
Cast: 10/10
Development of the characters: 8/10
Music: 8/10
Ending: 9/10

And now, to justify the score, and the reasons. The story was very well written, and it had a lot of suspense and it had some humour on it too. The visual effects, what can I say, they are really gonna win the Academy Oscar, because I doubt that the "Pirates of the Caribbean 3" are going to have better visual effects, although I think that the film is quite good also, but not as good as this one. The cast, it was very well chosen, and Topher Grace surprised me because I never thought that he could do such a terrific Venom. For the development of the characters, the only characters that I think that could have been more developed by Sam Raimi were Gwen Stacy and Venom. They could've developed more these two characters in a sort of a way. The music, it's quite good and I loved the themes that they wrote for the entire film.
Finally, for the ending, I was expecting that Venom would be captured by the police and the Sandman too, but in the end, Venom disappeared in an explosion (I don't think that he died, because they wouldn't dare to kill the most spectacular villain in the spidey universe, and also because there are rumours that the new villain in the fourth film will be Carnage, and we can't have Carnage if we don't have Venom, right?) and the Sandman was forgiven by Peter, and he let him get away, oh, and I almost forgot that I was expecting to see Spider-Man swinging in one of his webs in the last scene, just like in the other two movies, instead of him hugging M.J., but it was still quite intense and romantic too.
In conclusion, it was the best of the three films, and I can't wait to see Spider-Man 4 in 2009 or 2010!

Johnny Marone is called the “Lord of the Titanium Arm of Populartropolis”, and there’s a good reason for the press to give him that name… he has a robotic arm made of titanium, his left arm to be more precise. The Popular Squad claims that it was an accident, but he doesn’t believe them. With the help of his clan and of his killing robots, called Killer-Bots he tries to conquer the city of Populartropolis and the rest of the world. Also, his arm is an advanced weapon that can combine multiple guns and all sorts of weapons, turning him into a crazy rich sociopath on the loose. He's without any doubt the Popular Squad's biggest enemy.

First, I've just finished to read the last chapter of the book I bought last week, "The Looking Glass Wars", and in my opinio, I think that this was one of the best fantasy books that I've read in my life. By combining the original story of Alice in Wonderland, written by Lewis Carroll in the 19th century and the techonology seen in the the movies of Star Wars, we get a story of love, passion, adventure, suspense and murderer, combined. Just to warn those who are willing to read it, that this is the first of three books that are being written by Frank Beddor (the same guy that wrote the script of the comedy movie "There's something about Mary"), that if you're expecting this to be a fairy tale, then, you better read the original story instead of this one, Alice's name is spelled Alyss and finally, the second book will be released this Summer, and the name of the book is "Seeing Redd". I have to say it, that I always liked Alice in the Wonderland, and the fact that this triology is going to be turned into a movie is even more cool.

Second, I think I lost my artistic vein... I can't write a single good line in weeks, and I'm starting to get angry with myself, because if there's something that I hate is the fact that I have good ideas for a good story, but I can't wirte them in a way that I can say that is quite good.

Third, I just bought a new collection of DVD's and I have to say that it were one of the best purchases that I made in the last months. This time, I bought the first season of "The Dukes of Hazard" and just the fact that I can see the original cast riding the famous "General Lee" already worths every single penny that I spent. Plus, there are some hidden bonus material that just gave us the feeling that that show is really immortal.

Forth, I really got to study because i need a good merk on the test that I'm going to have tomorrow morning, because ifi don't have at least a 13/20, then, I'll have a subject to make an exam in the final of the year, and I hate to make exams in July.

Finally, I just have to say that you probably won't see any works of mine in the next weeks (probably, that doesn't mean that I won't be around here), because I got to study, and if i don't do that i'll have more work in the end of the second semestre. Only one think remains to be said, I'll be seeing you around there.

Before I go, here are the movies that I'm anxious to see this year and that are going to be the biggest blockbusters of this decade:

The Ghost Rider (Nicholas Cage in it's best performance yet)

Resident Evil: Extinction (Milla Jovovich is Alice, and she's hungry for zombies)

Spider-Man 3 (The Dark side of the Force is going to affect Tobey Maguire as Spidey)

American McGee's Alice (Buffy the Vampire Slayer aka. Sarah Michelle Gellar is Alice, and the Queen Hearth's better be prepared, because she's mean to the bone)

Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer (The FF's are about to face Gallactus and the Silver Surfer... are they going to save the Earth or not?)

National Treasure: The Book of Secrets (Will Nicholas Cage be able to solve another mystery that involves the History of the United States of America?)

The Simpsons Movie (The craziest family in the world gets their own movie... will Homer be able to be less stupid than the usual in this movie?)

But, we've to move on... after all, as my father is always saying, "We have to move on with our lives, because that's would they want us to do.". I'm trying not to cry, but it's difficult. I know that she's in a better place. if we see thiungs from a good perspective, maybe this was the best for her, because she was only suffering now.

And now, in other news... I'm going to photograph some of the places of Lisbon that appear on my story, " As Miudas Gato". I'll post them here so you can have a glimpse of the city itself, and of course, to know where the characters pass the days. Some of the photos are going to be taken during night, to create the atmosphere of the story. Stay tunned for more details in the next few weeks.

Plus, my theatre group is about to represent another CATS play... this time the theme of the play is Hallowe'en, and I got to say it, if everything goes according with the plan, it's going to be a major blast (we're preparing this for almost two months).

This message was one of the most beautiful things that they could've said about the fans. It really touched me... and i think that as long as people like us love that musical, it will never end.

Before I leave you once again, I just got one more thing to say to you... the next chapters of CATS: The Adventures of the Jellicle Clan are almost ready, and they will be posted as soon as I can.

I can't believe that I'm actually going to see the entire cast once again, especially because they remember me so well (I write them every two months).

As a gift of appreciation for them and for all CATS fans i'm going to try to post two chapters of my CATS story in the next week, but it'sgoing to be a little bit difficult since I'm going to enter for the first semester in university (My 2nd year), but i'll try.
