Ok that's over with. School is fine. Break has arrive. Good stuff. Poetry bueno. Really effin sleepy. Got up early to go to a farmer's market and turned out to be all day-fest with friends. Fun fun. I've been on a cemetery kick lately. Something about them is appealing to me in my photography. Perhaps it is the stillness and silence of it. I've always felt comfortable in places like those. But you probably won't see any more cemetery photos in a bit cause I've sorta currently run out of places as of this moment and New Orleans is a bit far away to venture to for photos, so I'll probably be taking a break from photography (sadly, on my part) until grad school gets a bit more routine.

Hope all is well.

Oh and new photos posted from Alston Cemetery in somewhere in the backroads of southwestern Louisiana. and I traveled for about 20 min in the woods in the middle of frickin nowhere and finally found it. Very creepy place. I've heard some pretty scary stories about the place. Am not surprised.

A friend in NYC wants to fly me up there to take photographs of her very happy about that, can't wait.

Grad school starts in 3 weeks, a bit nervous. I've been trying to catch up on some reading before classes start. I have Jean Laffite's journal on loan from the museum I work at. He was this 18th/19th century privateer (a legal pirate) and his journal is all full of his adventures in the Carribbean: commadeering ships, smuggling merchandise to the mainland, saving Andrew Jackson's ass in the Battle of New Orleans, double-agent spy whatnots in Mexican Independence. All pretty awesome stuff to read. I have to return it soon before my last day on Friday. Hope I can finish.

My brother from out of town is finally coming down for a visit next week. Can't wait. I moved my quitting date at the museum up so I can hang out with him. I think I'm gonna miss the museum and people. It was fun. Quite sure there's a few ghosts I'll miss, too

We took 1.5 rolls and one is awaiting development at the local Walgreens ^__^ They + scraps will be up today.

NYC trip rocked. Saw a Broadway musical, explored the city, went to museums, etc.

On Friday I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and saw a really kickass exhibit called Arms and Armor where they had all this free-standing armor and weapons from knights, jousting tournaments, kings, samurai, turks, islamic nations, etc. KICKASS. Also saw some amazing original works by Titian, Perugino, Signorelli, Lippi (both), and exhibits for Degas and Raphael. I about died

Also visited the Frick Collection which is this gigantic mansion next to Central Part on the east side that's been turned into a museum. Gorgeous!

Between that and walking all over, we ate the best Greek at Uncle Nick's and Afghan Kabobs in Hell's Kitchen. Also had pretty wicked Indian and Korean and of course some high class Italian

Damn I'm hungry now...I'm the only one at work today managing two buildings so I can't abandon my post for a bit. Gonna pick up photos and edit them here then post em up for yalls viewing pleasure XD

Overall it was awesome though there was the occassional drowning sequence, the piles of dresses, ants, a life-sized cardboard Legolas, really hot sweaty weather, a lighting crisis, and a random dog shoving her nose up my ass. After three hours, two scenes, and a very drenched , we wrapped it up. I believe they came out pretty dern good. Big thanks to for being such a willing and purty model and for doing her job as lamp holder and soaking wet fabric unwinder. This project of mucho photos will continue over the next few weeks until we A. run out of $$ to develop film and/or B. run out of ideas. I think A will come first

In other news, NEW YORK TRIP begins Thursday. I'll be staying a night in Houston then flying to NYC in the ass crack of dawn. Can't wait I've got my list of stuff including seeing Spamalot XD

A horrible dentist who will remain nameless screwed up my mouth...I am reporting them to the Department of Health and Hospitals. This is the 2nd time in the past year that I've had serious teeth problems. First off, they didn't give me enough novocaine so I was subjected to an hour of pure torture while they refused to stop or give me more novocaine. Then to make me extra happy, they screwed it up and I fear another root canal is in the near future. If it is, guess who's suing said dentist's ASS.

The New York trip has a set date now so I'm pretty excited about going. Job is well, we adopted a pretty stray black kitty. Such an insanely adorable cat. Life has been quite uneventful as usual. Perhaps things will kick in soon and shake things up a bit.

I will be taking on a giant photographic endeavor soon with a friend from high school and it should turn out kickass. Should be soon and will be posting asap.
