Wow my art has been reviewed at a gallery in Long Beach!! YAY!!

Let me explain.... At my work (Kamans Art Shoppes, Disneyland) my fellow artist friends were holding a art show called "Mixed Messages" and invited everyone who worked there to participate...so I joined in.

Ok first off I've had many questions on what Elixir is about so now I will let my hubby answer that question (since hes the guy who wrote the story! XD)

"What's Elixir about?"

In one sentence:

'Stalked by an evil alchemist and his monstrous creations, 19 year-old Clair Valentine travels a dying world in search of the Elixir of Life - a legendary potion said to grant immortality.'

Still curious? Good! If you want to know more, read on! (And thank you for your interest too, btw!) I'll post what I can from the story synopsis included in our proposal, but I'll have to cut it short so that I won't spoil the ending (and major plot twists) =x Here goes!

From the story synopsis:

The Elixir of Life Â it turns rags into riches, despair into hope, death into lifeÂ Since the birth of mankind, it has been the secret desire of every soul. Men have stolen for it, bled for it Â killed and died for it. Now this brutal game has an unlikely new player Â Clair, a lazy teenager who must travel a broken world in search of the home she never knewÂ
Others join her path, each craving the Elixir for their own. Razmus Arcades, a Prince in search of a cure for his fatherÂs fatal illness; Vance Auroras, an ex-soldier hunted by the ghosts of his past; Angela Villanova, an alchemist bound by her fatherÂs dying wish to destroy the Elixir; Pilfer, a thieving yarn doll brought to life by alchemy; and their fatherly guide Lux Â a crippled vagabond on a quest to end the sufferings of the poor once and for all.
Fraud alchemists, con men, crime rings, empty ruins Â each false rumor sends them in circles from one bitter letdown to the next. No matter where they go, the truth stays always just out of their reach Â thanks to the half human, half monsters that belong to the Order of the Golden Dawn. That's all for now! I hope that answers some of your questions... if not we'll soon start on chapter 1, and we plan to post the complete chapter when finished. In short, Elixir is a fantasy story, but based more on the practice of alchemy than anything else. Although it has its light comedic moments (and romance), a driving theme is that of growing up, maturing, and facing the realities of living in a cruel world... and finding the courage to get through tragedy and failure. With that said... I am happy to say that our Elixir package is finally DONE! XD We will be shipping it out today to the publishers, so keep us in prayer and your fingers cross for the best. Time!! I need more time!!! X___x I've been so busy these past couple of weeks, preparing for Anime Expo.... So far I've almost completed everything (which I will be putting up soon) But even though it seems like I am almost done, I'm still FAR from finished and AX is 3 weeks away! *screams like a school girl*

First off i'd love to say hello to all my new watchers, u guys are fantastic artist/friends! I've received soo many hits over the past few weeks! *_* Thank you soo much!!!

Secondly....Guess what day it is??? ITS MY BIRTHDAY today! YEE! I've had a super awesome birthday so far. Also...I didn't want to just mention that but also mention that I will be updating soon with loadz more work. So look for some updates later on this week or next.

Do you know how awesome Sleeping beauty is?? ITS SUPER AWEZOME with a Z yes...with a Z! ..... I just bought the 2 disc collection last night...and it was majikal. The special features are great too. I learned so much from the artist at Disney, that I am now freshly inspired to make beautiful pieces of art. If you ever need inspiration search for these artist... Mary Blair & Eyvind Earle. They are excellent artist.

Ok, I haven't updated in over 7 months... That's bad. I am so busy with work @ Disney and side jobs, not to mention our manga. Which I will updating a lot more about in the next month or so. For those who are curious, the name of the project is Elixir.

Here's a little taste of what its about....

The Philosopher's Stone. Eternal life. Inexhaustible wealth. Unimaginable power. A history soaked in blood.
For a cheerful, high-spirited orphan girl, it holds the key to unlocking her past. To a young prince without an inheritance, it is the only thing that can save his father from certain death. To a flamboyant ex-soldier on the run, it is the only weapon capable of conquering his greatest fear. To an alchemist wise beyond her short years, it means unraveling the secret her father died to protect.
Four souls travel one weary road, never knowing where its winding path will lead them. Though the way ahead is darkened by fear and doubt, the weight of destiny draws them ever onward.

Ok enough for now! I have uploaded a picture of our Heroine Clair, if you were interested. Its not an official piece, but just a rough one. Hopefully ya'll like it!

Other than that....Life has been fantastico 4 us kids. Busy, busy, busy might I add. Oh yes! I am currently working on a project with , called Stitched Crosses. I am the colorist for the project, for more details go and check out their page. Its super awesome!

Just updating a little, with one new painting and a journal entry. Also check back soon in the near future! I will be adding my new website link with all my artwork. But mainly it is to help start my art business. In the next few months my husband and I will be selling my art work at the local swap meet and online. I recently celebrated my 21st b-day this past week on Nov 3rd, still feel the same as I did last year! lol good stuff. Anyway, been busy with work, got a new job at a bakery a while back. Its awesome, my boss is the bestest boss you could ever dream of! Thank God! X3 Also I will be updating shortly... in well the next few months.
